Just like that Night
It was raining. Lightning lit the sky. Lit the sky just like that night. Her words were still fresh in my mind. "Do you know what happens to a Toad when it's hit by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else." I'll get revenge on that weather-which. She'll die by my hands. For this torture that she put me through. I still wake up at night to the feeling of drowning. If it hadn't been for Sabertooth. I wouldn't be alive. I look at my reflection in the glass window of one of the strip malls stores. A long scar that traveled from his neck down under the hoodie he was wearing. Looking up to the mansion like house on the hill, only one thought invaded my mind. Revenge.
It took him a while to get past the security. The alarms where every where now, used to keep intruders out. They just never expected the Toad to come back from the dead now did they? How unfortunate for them. I looked into her room. Sleeping like a baby. Soon to be sleeping forever. I carefully undid the latch to the window and lowered it down with my tongue. Slipping in me put the window back in place. It made a sharp clap sound waking the weather woman up. I quickly shot to the sealing and stuck to it. She went over to her window and looked out. "Must have been the wind." She closed it back up and was heading back towards her bed. This was my chance. I jumped down and as she turned around and stared me in the face I grabbed her by the neck and slammed her in to the wall. Still having a firm grip around her neck I got close to her ear. "You asked me what happens to a Toad when it gets hit by lightning. Well I'm the answer." Lightning lit the sky once more and my eyes flashed with red and gold.
She was terrified. I could see it in her eyes. I threw her to the ground and she went to yell for the others. I sealed her mouth shut before she got much out. But obviously that was enough. Wolverine bust through the door. I jumped out of the way of his claws and kicked him trough the wall the Weather girl was running out her door. No I won't let her get away. She'll pay for what she did to me! I'll make her pay! I was blind with rage and the thrill of the chase and the smell of fear assaulted my mind. She was trapped and cornered. A dead end. I had a deadly grin on my face her eyes were like a deer in headlights. "Hear Stormy, Stormy, Stormy..." I pulled a dagger from my pocket and was about to finish her off when. I feel to the ground in agony. it felt like my life was being sucked out. I turned my head to look at the one responsible. Rouge. She let go. I stared at her as I started to fall. She caught me. "I'm so sorry Toad. But I can't let you kill my friend." That's the last thing I heard before my world was engulfed in darkness.
