Hyuuga Hinata was taking a stroll outside, tears streaming down her pale face. She repeated the awful moment over and over in her head.
"Hinata, I have to tell you something," Hinata's father said.
"What, father?" she asked, her fragile voice showing concern and fear.
"Your mother...she's..dead..." he said, tears welling in his eyes.
"WHA?" she said, she ran out of the house, and far into the woods, at night.
Tears dropped onto the ground, staining th dirt, making it darker. Why did her mom have to have cancer? Why did she have to die? Her only friend.
Naruto was sitting in a high tree, looking at the stars. He put his hands into his lap, gazing at the bright lights twinkling. He heard heavy tears and foot steps beating the ground. He looked down from his spot, and saw a familiar girl, walking slowly, crying so quietly, only a mouse with the sharpest ears could hear it. He leaped down from his tree, and landed behind her.
"Hinata? Are you alright?" he asked, standing by her side.
"Um...sure..." she said, her voice as quiet as ever.
It took some time to hear what she said.
"Why are you crying?" he asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Hinata was suprised by his recent movement.
"M-My...mother...d-died..." she said, more tears streaming down her face.
"Oh.." Naruto said, his heart aching for her. He decided to try to comfort her. So he hugged her, and she cried into his chest.
"I miss her so much!" Hinata exclaimed, her face red, and tears staining her face.
Naruto wiped away her tears, and kissed her forehead.
"People live, people die, it's part of life, but now, I bet she's watching you, watching you right now, wishing she could comfort you," Naruto said, smiling and bringing her closer.
Hinata felt better by his comforting. She hugged him back.
"T-Thank you, Naruto-chan," she said.
"You're welcome, Hinata," he said, kissing her forehead. He hugged her closer.
"How 'bout I walk you home?" Naruto asked, holding her cold hand.
"Sure," he fragile voice said, smiling.
Naruto smiled, and began walking her home.
"Wait, let's take a break," Naruto said about fifteen minutes later. He stopped on the bridge, where the veiw of the moon was as clear as the water.
"Alright," Hinata said, putting her hands on the brisk railing.
Naruto stood by Hinata, and wrapped his arm around her waist. He got closer to her, and kissed her cheek.
Hinata blushed a bright shade of pink and smiled, and looked into his handsome blue eyes.
Naruto tilted his head, and put his two fingers on her chin, and his warm lips met hers.
Hinata was suprised at first, but then calmed, and closed her eyes.
He put his hands on her waist, bringing her closer.
Hinata got as close as she could to him, and put her arms around his neck.
Naruto slowly pulled away, smiling a handsome smile.
Hinata smiled, and hugged him.
"Thank you so much, Naruto-kun," she said, smiling a rare but beautiful smile.
"Anything for you, Hinata," he said, hugging her.
