Chapter Thirty-Eight
Reborn
"What the fuck!?"
"In the name of Allah!"
The man trying to strangle the woman let go of the cord and jumped up as he saw his comrade get grabbed then pulled into the darkness screaming in terror.
"No! No! No! NNNOOOO!"
There was the sound of slashing and punching then a loud caw was heard, and the man was thrown into the shallow filthy sewer water, his clothes ripped, and he was covered in blood and dazed.
"Shit!" one of the two men shouted then he screamed as he saw Diablo appear from the darkness cawing and his eyes flashing followed by Samson, Rex, Chastity and Regan.
Diablo turned to Regan who was licking her lips then nodded at the man in the sewer.
"Feed little one!" he hissed menacingly "Feast on his flesh!"
Regan smirked then hopped over to the beaten-up man before opening her mouth and sinking her fangs into his neck and started to drink his blood.
Rex and Samson in turn leapt on the two other men before they could move, whilst Chastity ran over to the now motionless young woman on the ground.
The two men were stunned as the mutant panther and doberman grabbed them and held them tightly.
"You're in deep shit mate!" Samson growled.
"You animals!" Rex snarled "You hurt an innocent woman in the name of honour!?"
Diablo sauntered over and sneered.
"Oh they're gonna suffer the consequences! Just like their friend over there!" he moved his eyes over to the dazed man who Regan was feeding on.
"Who are you!?" one of the men shouted in terror "What are you!?
Diablo smirked.
"I'm the Devil!" he smirked "And I'm here to do the devil's work! And when I'm here! There is no escape! Allah can't save you!"
The men both terrified tried to squirm free but Rex and Samson held them tighter.
"You're going nowhere!" Rex snarled in his captive's ear "Not until you suffer your punishment! After what you did to that innocent woman!"
Meanwhile, Chastity tried to revive the woman, she turned her over and looked at her motionless face.
"Hey! Hey!" the dove called tapping her face "Can you hear me? Look at me!"
She studied the girl's neck and saw the bruising that had formed from where the cord had strangled her, and she feared the worst.
She leaned down and tried to listen for any breath, but she could hardly feel nor hear anything and her heart beat faster.
"Oh shit…" she looked up at Diablo "She's unresponsive! The water!"
Diablo looked furious at the fact the three men they attacked had seriously hurt the woman, yet he smirked within.
"Another disciple to add!" he thought "And one who may wish to get revenge on her attackers!" he pulled the water bottle of Mutopia's Magical water out of a pouch he had on his hip and tossed it to Chastity who grabbed it.
"Let her be reborn Chastity!" he said "Let her rewaken from her death!"
The men were shocked as they watched and Chastity unscrewed the top.
"What the hell is this!?" one of them demanded, as he tried to fight out of Samson's grip yet the panther grasped even tighter and dug his claws into his flesh.
Chastity looked down at the woman whose eyes flickered a little.
"Don't be afraid." Chastity said as she lowered the bottle to the woman's mouth "We're here to help."
She then let some of the water drip into the victim's mouth.
"Allah has given you another chance….you're not gonna die tonight." She whispered.
She then moved back putting the lid back on the bottle as she waited for the water to do it's work.
The others watched intently as they waited, at first there was no response and they began to wonder whether they were too late to save the woman, but just before they began to think it was too late, the woman let out a gasp then arched her back as the mutation process began.
Diablo smirked, yet Samson, Rex and Chastity looked worried, and Regan looked up from feeding on her victim, blood dripping down her chin as she saw the woman start to writhe in pain.
"What's happening?" she asked looking up at Rex.
"Don't be afraid Little one." Rex assured Regan "That water Chastity gave her, it's what saved us, it saved you too, yet the process is painful."
Regan nodded in understanding and sat on her unconscious victim as she watched the woman writhed then screamed in agony as she flipped onto her side and ended up in the sewer water.
The two men held hostage also watched in horror as the woman they were trying to kill screamed and thrashed around in the water, it was difficult to see what was happening due to it being dark in the tunnel and the fact that the water was splashing up.
Chastity stood nearby ready to help when the painful process of mutating was over which it soon was in a matter of seconds and the woman flopped like a fish in the murky water.
Diablo frowned and walked over to the woman along with Chastity.
"I wonder what we have here?" he asked as he knelt down.
Meanwhile the other mutants including the hostages watched in silence.
Diablo knelt down by the woman and touched her shoulder, as he did, she pulled herself up and gasped as she tried to get her breath back and it was then her form was revealed!
Her skin was now a green/greyish blue and she had a yellowish colouring underneath from under her chin leading down her body, she had no hair, her eyes were an electric blue and her mouth had the appearance of a Glasgow smile.
As she opened her mouth, the newly mutated woman showed she had rows of tiny sharp teeth.
"Wh…Wha…what?" she gasped looking at Diablo, obviously in shock from the mutation as well as Diablo's appearance, and unsure of where she was or what was happening right now.
"Are you alright?" Chastity asked making the new mutant look at her.
"What's going on?" the mutant asked "Where am I? What happened?"
"Don't be afraid." Diablo said "We're here to help you, we saved you from death, yes I understand this is all a bit of a shock, but be assured we're here to help you."
As Samson, Rex and Regan watched, they studied the woman's appearance and even the hostages stared open mouthed.
"What in the name of Allah is this sorcery?" one of them asked in terror before he was silenced by Rex pulling his ear hard.
"What is she?" Regan asked.
"She looks like…" Samson started.
"An Eel." Rex finished "Interesting."
Meanwhile, Diablo and Chastity kept asking the shocked new mutant some questions.
"Can you tell us your name?" Chastity asked.
"My what?" the mutant Eel asked.
"Your name?" Diablo repeated.
"A…A…As..Asiyah…Asiyah Abdallah." The Eel replied.
"Okay Asiyah." Diablo said "Now we know your name, allow us to introduce ourselves, I am Diablo the Raven, and these are my Disciples and Friends, Samson the Panther, Rex and Doberman, Regan the Bat, and Chastity the Dove."
Asiyah sucked in a breath and tried to stand to which Chastity took her arm and helped her up.
"What…what did you do to me?" Asiyah asked as she started to notice her change in appearance.
"Um…" Chastity started.
"What have you done to me?" Asiyah asked as she studied her hands which were green/greyish blue and her palms were a yellow colour as well having sharp nails.
She brought her hands to her face and began to feel all over realising her skin felt wet and slippery and she was bald!
"What's going on!?" she shrieked.
"Oh boy…" Samson said in a worried voice.
"She's freaking out…" Rex said "And I thought I took it badly, especially when I realised my right arm had grown back."
Regan just continued to watch in silence as Asiyah began to back away towards the wall with Diablo and Chastity trying to calm her down.
"Calm down! Calm down!" Chastity pleaded as she tried to soothe Asiyah, yet as she touched her hands, Chastity shrieked in pain and collapsed onto the side of the sewer slightly stunned!
Diablo and the others jumped back in shock, and Asiyah stood still for a second as she looked at the Dove.
"Chastity!" Diablo cried in concern as he went over to the Dove and studied her.
Samson also wanted to go over but he couldn't let go of his hostage.
Regan also went over in concern.
"Chastity!" she said in worry then looked at the Eel "What did you do!?" she demanded.
Everyone looked at Asiyah who looked at her hands fearfully then down at the Dove who was laying on the ground still stunned and Diablo tried talking to her to get her to respond.
"I didn't do anything!" Asiyah protested as she looked at her hands "She touched my hands! I didn't know I could do that!"
"She's not just an Eel mutant!" Rex exclaimed "She's an Electric Eel!"
"Of course!" Samson cried.
Diablo meanwhile tapped Chastity's face concerned trying to wake her, then the Dove suddenly recovered and shook off stars to the relief of everyone.
"What just happened?" Chastity asked looking at Diablo who turned to Asiyah.
"I'm sorry…" Asiyah sobbed "I didn't mean to do it…"
Chastity was confused at first then realised what happened and she stood up.
"Whoa…" she said "You must be…"
She didn't get to finish her sentence as some shadows appeared on the wall around the corner in the tunnel and some voices were heard.
"What's going on down there!?"
"I can hear the screams!"
Diablo glared.
"Shit!" he snarled as he squared his shoulders.
"The Chicago Knights!" Samson glared.
"Get yourselves and the hostages out of here!" Diablo demanded "I'll deal with these nosy bastards!"
"But Diablo…" Chastity began.
"Don't argue!" Diablo snapped "Get yourselves, and our new friend out of here!"
As he finished that last bit, the Raven saw Jack the Wolf, Percy the Grasshopper, Heather the Dragonfly and Kate the Viper appear around the corner!
"DIABLO!" Jack barked alarmed.
"I knew it!" Kate shouted as she brandished her whip.
Diablo glared.
"You busybodies!" he spat "Sticking your noses in where they don't belong!"
"What the hell's going on?" Heather cried then saw the two men in the grips of Samson and Rex as well as the unconscious bloody man in the water.
"Oh my God…" Percy spluttered then he saw Regan and blood dripping from her mouth "No way! The child…"
Then they saw Asiyah and her mutant form and stared in shock but then they snapped out of their state and looked at Diablo.
"Okay traitor!" Jack growled "Give it up!"
Diablo glared.
"Oh really?" He asked "You think I'm going to give up easily? I'll take all of you down! I did it before and I'll do it again! Your Dragon Friend isn't here to help you!"
"Bring it fucker!" Kate hissed.
So the Disciples have mutated the woman, now revealed to be Asiyah Abdallah and is revealed to be mutated into an Electric Eel!
But now four of the Chicago Knights have showed up! I wonder how this will go huh? More than likely a fight! Check back soon for another chapter coming soon!
P.S. When I had this new character in mind, I had the image of D'Vorah from Mortal Kombat in mind! Yet instead of an Insect creature, she's a humanoid Eel!
