Heya readers!
I know you were waiting to see what would be the outcome of this chapter! Again Im sorry it took a while, what with writer's block, life in general and so much at my work going on to continue fighting against Covid-19, it's like there's no end in sight, but I keep going! There will be a change soon! Hopefully sooner rather than later and things will be normal again!
Anyway, hope you enjoy this latest chapter! Be warned though as this is a rather violent and bloody chapter!
Chapter Forty-One
Sweet as Candy
Tyroth pressed his foot harder on Diablo's back as the Raven struggled under him.
"I can't tell you how long I've waited for this!" Tyroth snarled "Having you in my grasp and to face justice!"
Diablo glowered up at him.
"You finally got me dragon!" he snapped "Got me like a felled bird! Which I am!"
Sephie held her dagger against Diablo's face.
"You've done so much damage!" she hissed "Like my love says, your crimes earn you the death sentence! But we made a promise to Mona and Jake that we will not kill you, but make you stand trial!"
Diablo glared back.
"Trial?" he asked "How kind of you(!) Not! And then what will you do? Lock me up and throw away the key? Or kill me? Will Mona and Jake even allow it?"
"Shut up!" Sephie snapped placing her sharp dagger against the Raven's face and pressing the tip near Diablo's eye, looking at the dagger, the Raven saw it was sharp, and of a different make that the average sharp metal of any other dagger.
"You should be grateful that your older brother and sister still love you!" Sephie spat "And why they still love you, I can only try to make sense of!"
Tyroth smirked as he looked at the dagger, as it was one of the dual Dragon Tooth Daggers Sephie had acquired years ago when they were accidently sent to Skyrim.
"Is that fear I smell Raven?" he asked "Those daggers will slice your skin without the slightest pressure!"
"How easy it would be to blind you!" Sephie snarled "It's no more than you deserve!"
Raven sneered.
"Fuck you!" he snapped.
Tyroth squeezed tighter around Diablo's throat, then he suddenly felt something wet drip on his wrist, at first he thought it was just water from the top of the sewer tunnel, but he soon saw it was red!
Sephie saw it too, and she also looked confused, especially since another few drops fell innocently on Tyroth's arm and he also felt a couple on his forehead.
Tyroth then looked up and once he did, he saw the face of Regan looking down on him, her bloody mouth open and her fangs bared.
Before the Dragon had a chance to move or make a sound as he was so shocked, the Vampire bat dropped down onto his face!
A shrill shriek erupted from Regan's mouth as she opened her mouth and her fangs grew long.
All Tyroth saw in his vison was Regan's razor sharp fangs as she jumped on his face and wrapped her arms and legs around his head almost like a Face-hugger from the Alien films!
"SHIT!" Tyroth shouted "In the name of Odin! Get off me!"
Diablo's eyes widened as he saw Regan drop on Tyroth then he felt Tyroth's paw release his throat and as the Dragon moved in shock trying to shake Regan off, his wings struck Sephie and she was sent flying dropping her daggers in the process!
Seeing his chance, Diablo jumped back yet he couldn't get the bounds off his wrists and wings.
He knew he couldn't fight back so he knew his best option was to run, but he didn't want to leave Regan behind!
"Regan!" he shouted "Get off him!"
But Regan in her frenzy was deaf to his protests and she leaned down to Tyroth's neck and sank her fangs into him!
Tyroth felt the teeth in his neck and shouted in pain as well as shock then felt Regan suck hard on his blood!
As that was happening, Sarah, Percy and Sharky were running down the sewer looking for Tyroth and Sephie.
They soon heard Tyroth's yell as well as Regan's shrill shriek.
"The Hell!?" Sarah cried and she grabbed Sharky and Percy's wrists.
"Sarah?" the boys asked but before they could say anything else, they found themselves get pulled along as Sarah picked up her speed to get closer to the noises.
They soon arrived to the sight of Tyroth trying to prise Regan off his face with her teeth embedded in his neck, and Sephie trying to avoid getting stepped on as she tried to pick herself out of the sewer water.
"BOSS!?" the three mutants cried then Percy pointed at Regan.
"It's that savage!" he shouted.
"Don't just stand there!" Sharky shouted, "We gotta help!"
Sarah nodded and ran to pull Sephie up whilst the boys went to assist Tyroth which wasn't easy to do without almost getting hit with the Dragon's large wings or tail.
As Sarah pulled Sephie up, Sephie thanked the cheetah and looked around remembering Diablo.
"The Raven!" she shouted "Where is he!? We had him!"
Sarah looked around trying to see with her cat eyes and she soon saw the bound Diablo standing a distance away and shouting at Regan to get off Diablo.
"There!" she shouted.
"Don't let him escape!" Sephie ordered to which Sarah ran towards Diablo and tackled him to the ground.
Diablo cawed in shock at being tackled and tried to kick Sarah off him!
"Get off me!" he shouted.
"Not a chance Traitor!" Sarah snarled as she pinned Diablo down in the filthy sewer water "I'll make you pay for dropping me! As well as drugging up Sharky! And your other crimes you'll answer to!"
As Diablo was tackled Regan then saw her guardian in trouble and that was want pulled her back to reality, she ripped her mouth from Tyroth's neck taking flesh with her and turned to Diablo and Sarah before jumping off the dragon.
Tyroth brought his paw up to his neck and felt the hanging flesh and blood pumping out, yet as soon as it came he started to heal.
Regan instantly flew over to Diablo who still struggled against Sarah and the cheetah looked up at Regan whose mouth was soaked in blood and the dragon's flesh was still hanging from her teeth.
"Christ!" she gasped in shock as well as sickness "Diablo…what did you do to her?!"
"Let go of him!" Regan hissed "Let go of my saviour!"
Sarah frowned and stood up yet kept one foot on Diablo as well as lifted one of her tonfas ready to fight if she had to.
Though this mutant was a child, seeing how she managed to attack Tyroth, she wasn't taking chances, yet she was worried if Regan attacked, she'd loose grip of Diablo.
Tyroth growled as he looked at Sarah staring Regan down.
"Careful Sarah!" he said.
"Boss are you okay?" Sharky asked in worry.
"I'm fine…" Tyroth said removing his hand showing where his wound had healed then he stepped towards Regan.
"Child." He said trying to get Regan's attention, "Listen okay? We're not the bad guys!"
Regan turned from Sephie and hissed at Tyroth, her mouth still bloody.
"We're not!" Tyroth said "Look, I don't know what Diablo has told you, but we're not here to hurt you, nor him, I know you feel you must protect him! And even though you've bitten me, and my friend…" he paused for a second and continued to watch Regan with caution.
The other knights also stood still.
"What are you doing boss?" Percy asked.
"Shh!" Tyroth hissed then turned to talk to Regan again.
"You're a bat, and a vampire bat I can see, you feed on blood, I understand that! But please! I won't hurt you! I swear! None of us will! And we won't hurt Diablo! But you need to listen! What Diablo's doing is wrong!"
"Liar!" Regan hissed "He told me not to trust you!"
"You can trust us!" Sephie tried to help her lover get through to Regan "Please! I know Diablo's told you about us, but he's wrong! He's lied to you!"
"He saved me!" Regan spat "And I'll bite again if you come near me!"
Percy and Sharky looked at each other in worry then at Tyroth and Sephie.
Sarah kept her foot on Diablo and continued to watch Regan, yet as she did, she was unaware that Diablo was wriggling his hands under the sewer water, taking advantage of the fact his bounds were easier to slip out of.
Regan licked her lips as she looked at Tyroth.
"You're sweet like candy!" she said, "Your blood was delicious!"
Sephie swallowed hard in sickness.
She tried to look calm but seeing how young this mutant was and also how bloodthirsty she was, it was almost frightening.
Regan looked no older than her own children, and those words than dripped venom as she spoke, it was unnatural.
Sarah shared the same disgust as well and looked at Diablo.
"You monster!" she growled "You fiend!"
Diablo just smirked at Sarah.
"I didn't choose the mutation." He said casually, still trying to wriggle his wrists free under the water, "But seeing what she became, pleased me greatly."
Sarah bared her teeth and pushed her foot harder on the raven making him wince.
"Regan." Tyroth said again, reaching one of his paws up but Regan crouched in a feral position and ready to jump up at him.
"Stay back!" she hissed "I'll bite you again! And I will taste that candy blood!"
She then sucked up the hanging flesh and chewed it nosily making both Sarah and Sephie gag slightly.
Sharky and Percy looked equally sickened as well as worried.
They weren't sure how long the debate between Regan, Tyroth and Sephie was going to last, or who was going to make the first move to either attack or try and make a grab for the mutant bat, as well as Diablo and bring them to Mutopia.
So the stand-off continues! Both sides are still in the sewers, and Regan has shown she is vicious, even one so young as herself, and she enjoyed Tyroth's blood!
How will this end? Well stay tuned for more! Hopefully sooner rather than later!
