Heya friends, hope you're all doing okay! We're three weeks away from Halloween! Yay! My favourite time of the year!

Last place we left off here, Mona had fled the New York sewers and had decided to make her own way to Chicago to join the Knights in finding her brother, meanwhile Hugh and Tyroth had discovered that the Straight Truths Church whose Leader Diablo had attacked were having a new meeting, yet little did they know, though they guessed correctly, Diablo and his Disciples are planning to attack them.

Warning: This chapter does contain distressing and upsetting scenes.

Chapter Fifty

Eternal Torment

Meanwhile, Diablo stood with the Disciples gathered around him, an evil smirk on his face.

He had showed them all the flyer he had found, about the Straight Truths Church organising a meeting on Sunday.

"The bastards!" Chastity growled "How can they call themselves people of God! They are not people of God! Not one of them! None of them!"

"Agreed!" Rex snarled "They insult soldiers, they say Thank God for dead soldiers!"

"And they degrade blacks!" Samson added "They say we're not real Americans!"

Lamia also glared.

"I've had issues with them too!" she said, "A couple of weeks ago, I was in the city with friends, and I passed a group of these guys and they called me a terrorist and a killer!"

The Eel soon felt a pair of hands hug her around the waist and she looked down at Regan.

"No, you're not!" she said looking up at her "Your kind! And lovely!"

Lamia smiled down at the little mutant bat.

"Thank you, sweetheart." She said patting Regan's golden curly haired head with her gloved hand.

Regan just smiled then looked at Diablo, her smile fading.

"Why do those people say bad things?" she asked.

Diablo looked at Regan.

"Because they are bad and narrow-minded people, Little Bat." He said, "They are cruel, they are sinners, and they must be punished!"

He flexed his talons.

"They spread hate, and they believe that those who are different, or not in their eyes 'Normal' are not one of them, that they are destined for hell, but little do they know, their actions are going to bring them nothing…but punishment."

Samson and Rex smirked.

"Their leader deserved everything they got!" Rex smirked as he eyed Diablo, "As did his wife and their leader."

Chastity agreed.

"As much as I often say that God is forgiving of sinners, those who sinned the worst, they don't deserve forgiveness."

"I am inclined to agree." Lamia added "I always believed Allah forgives, and I wish no harm on others, but those people, they reaped what they sowed, and my cousins and my father, they will burn for what they did, they are not true Muslims, not after what they did to me!"

Diablo smirked and rubbed his hands together.

"Well, my friends." He said "We have a chance to pounce on these bastards, we shall make them fear us, and realise their preaching will only make their lives worse, not better, they will realise God will never protect them! For their preaching only attracts the Devil!"

"I am with you Diablo." Samson said, "I wish to make these bastards feel fear, it was people like them who tormented me all my life because of my colour!"

"As do I!" Rex added "They insult me with their words, after what I did to serve their precious country, they claim to love!"

"They insult me and call me a terrorist, but they are the true terrorists!" Lamia hissed.

"They are not people of God!" Chastity stated, "I will make them see that God is not there to protect them!"

"I want to help punish those bad people too!" Regan squeaked, her blue eyes shining, and her teeth bared.

"And you can Little one!" Diablo smirked "You will make them feel fear, and pain!"

Regan giggled excitedly.

"Thank you!" she said and hugged Diablo around the waist.

"But first things first!" Diablo said, holding up a taloned finger as he stroked Regan's head with his other hand "I wish to find out more about this meeting, who will be running it, and how we shall attack."

The others looked at him.

"How will you find out?" Rex asked raising an eyebrow.

"One way or another." Diablo answered as he walked to the window "Stay here my friends, I will return before dawn." He then held up his walkie talkie "Contact me if there is news or trouble."

Rex nodded and saluted.

"Yes sir!" he said.

"Be careful out there!" Chasity warned.

"I shall." Diablo promised "Once I find out more news, I shall return."

The Disciples then watched as Diablo spread his wings then took off into the night.

Regan ran to the window and watched as the mutant Raven swooped down then flew upwards across the sky and over the city.

"I wonder what he's going to do?" Lamia asked.

"I'm sure he's got a plan." Samson said, "I hope he does anyway."

"Well, whatever it is," Lamia said "I feel excited to make those sinners pay for the hate and evil words they say, we'll be doing everyone a favour by sealing their mouths!"

Chasity nodded.

"I agree, there are people of God, then there are those who use religion to hurt and control others, they are the true sinners!"

As Diablo flew across the sky, his eyes scanned the city as he looked for the hospital where he knew the Hate Preacher, his wife and brother were being treated at for their injuries.

He had intended to see what he could find out at the location of where the Straight Truths Meeting was taking place, but first, he wished to see the Hate Preacher himself in the hospital, and remind him, that he was never going to be left alone, that as long as he lived, Diablo would be tormenting him!

He soon saw the hospital, and he began to fly around it, wondering if he could find the ward where the Hate Preacher was.

The hospital was indeed a huge building and stood out as a large skyscraper, and he could see the wards through the windows, as well as the odd doctor's office, most of the wards had their lights off so the patients could get some sleep at night, yet some still had the lights on, and the Raven could see the nurses were doing their rounds on the Night shift.

Making sure he kept moving so as not to be seen, Diablo soon found what he was looking for, he had been circling the building for what seemed like over half an hour until he saw a window where a small lamp was on, and a man lay in his bed.

As soon as Diablo saw him, excitement ran through his body, and he felt goosebumps under his feathers.

"I never forget a face!" the Raven thought, "Especially one who looked into my eyes when his mind broke!"

He flew over to the window and grabbed the side of the building, clinging onto the bricks.

He could see the window was slightly open, so he reached his hand over to try and push it open more.

Luckily it was big enough for him to climb through, and as he pushed his head through, he looked around to check there was no-one else in the room, and luckily, the room was a single ward.

"Perfect!" he smirked "This guy has got his own room, I can understand, if I scared him so shitless, his behaviours would disturb the other patients!"

The Raven pushed himself further into the room and crept over to the bed.

The Hate Preacher was laying in the bed asleep, bandages around his hands and over his chest where Diablo remembered wounding him, and the raven took the liberty to look at the notes that sat in a tray on the end of the bed where the nurses and doctors would write notes on the patient about the progress they were making, whether it was good or bad.

Diablo picked up the folder and opened it, looking through the notes and he soon saw the majority written was the Hate Preacher speaking of a large black bird tormenting him and torturing him.

"Hmm, I think the torment is going to get worse once I'm through with this bastard!" the Raven mused then placing the notes back, he leaned over the bed and opened his wings before reaching his talons hands over the preacher and began to run them over his face and chest.

As he did that, the preacher began to stir, and his eyes began to open.

Diablo smirked and narrowed his eyes.

"Good evening, Fuck Face!" Diablo hissed.

The Preacher's eyes widened as he looked upon the raven's face.

"NO!" he cried but Diablo clapped his hand over his mouth silencing him.

"Don't even bother screaming!" Diablo hissed "No-one will hear you!" he then saw the nurse caller and he knocked it off the bed before the preacher could grab it and alert someone to his plight.

"You thought you were free of me? You thought you were safe here?" Diablo snarled "Well, you thought wrong! You sinned of the worst kind! You started a fire! And now you can never douse it!"

The Preacher tried to fight out of Diablo's grip and muffled as he tried to scream.

The Raven could make out his words, and he could hear the words of God, and praying for help and he couldn't help but smirk harder.

"Don't even bother!" Diablo hissed "God's not here! He was never there! You burn in your own hell that you started! You are damned! You are damned to hell! You are ruined!"

The Preacher continued to try and scream and shake his head.

"Oh yes!" Diablo hissed.

"You brought this on yourself because of your sinful behaviour! You're going mad! You're no longer fit to do your so-called job! Your kids are in the care system! Your wife and brother are suffering the same fate! In fact, I will be paying them a visit too! You'll never to fit to be where you were before! You've gone mad with the fear I install in you! You have lost everything!"

Diablo then opened his beak and cawed in the Preacher's face, not so loud to alert any staff, but loud enough to make the preacher let out a muffled scream.

Diablo laughed and continued to torment the preacher with his words and still keeping one hand over the preacher's mouth, he ran his talons over the preacher's bandaged chest and tore off the dressings exposing the wounds and scratched at the scabs, pulling them off and opening the wounds again.

"You tormented others for pleasure!" Diablo continued "Not in the name of God! You torment because you can't stand anyone different to you! You consider yourself superior? Well, you were never superior, you were just a selfish bully! And you use religion to make people follow you, to control others! Well, you and your group will be history soon enough! I will destroy everything you've built!"

The Preacher let out another muffled scream and writhed on the bed all whilst Diablo watched in pleasure.

Diablo then narrowed his eyes and curled his beak making him look more sinister.

"I will never go away bastard!" he snarled "You will never be free from the torture and torment I bestow upon you! God will not save you! No-one will! You're broken! You're mad! You'll never return to the cocky selfish arrogant prick you once were! You're pathetic! Pathetic!"

The Preacher screamed again under Diablo's mouth and soon his eyes rolled back into his head, and he went into a catatonic state as his mind broke.

Diablo smirked and he removed his hand from the Preacher's mouth seeing him pass out from terror.

"Rest in shit…bastard!" he smirked, he then took the preacher's hand and ran it over the wounds to make it look like he'd done the damage himself and stepped back.

"When the staff see him like this, they will soon realise he is beyond saving, his madness has broken him!" The Raven mused "The Church will crumble without their leader! Unless they have a new one, but I will destroy it before the new leader takes over! The Straight Truths Church is finished!"

He then turned to the window.

"I will find the wife and brother, then I will go and find out more of what I can about this meeting, then the plan of attack will begin!"

The Raven looked back at his victim, smirked then climbed out before flying outside hoping to find out where the other victims were and give them the same treatment.

I have to admit I was hoping to write a scene where Diablo returns to torment his previous victims, and I thought this was the perfect place! Also since we're in the middle of Halloween Month and I wanted to write something scary!

Hope you enjoyed it, if you weren't too disturbed! Lol!

See you next chapter!
