Chapter 5: Tiid Ahrk Golt

Jon looks at the Red Woman in front of him, stunned at her beauty, but more than that… Something feels familiar about her, however, before he can think about it, he sees her glowing eyes, causing terrible memories to flash back into his eyes. "Vampire…!" However, as he reaches for Bloodskal, Ser Barristan stops him, "Move!"

"Your grace, please calm yourself!" Ser Barristan says, "This is the ally we had spoken to you of!"

"What?" Jon asks.

"It is true, great Khal…" Melisandre says, looking at Jon, "I am Melisandre of Asshai… In my previous life, you and I were allies, and I was one of the many who had fallen due to betrayal." Jon hears her words and looks into her eyes, hoping to see deceit in them, but all he can see is Sincerity, Fear, and, for some reason, Lust. Despite his better judgement, Jon releases his grip upon Bloodskal, and looks at her. "Great Khal… It would be my honor to swear my magic and service to you again…" She kneels, to which Jon looks at her, and then scratches the back of his head, unsure of what to do.

"Your Grace, it is thanks to her that we have been able to intercept all of Robert Baratheon's assassins sent after you, she also allowed us to escape our forced servitude to King Robert!" Ser Jaime Lannister explains. "You said so yourself, you once trusted a Vampire, and only those who had not bent the knee to her had attacked your family…!" Jon looks to Ser Jaime and sorts out his memories, recalling this. "So give this vampire a chance, she may prove herself yet."

"Aemon…" Daenerys says, placing a hand on his shoulder, "I want to give this woman a chance, if she betrays us, then you can kill her!"

"If I do betray you, intentionally or not, I won't stop you, your grace!" Melisandre says, "Akatosh's benevolence saw that I would not be claimed by Molag Bal, and more than that, you saved the Vampires from certain destruction because of our mad former leader. I owe you and the Great Dragon more than I could possibly imagine…" She kneels to Aemon, lowering her head and eyes. "Allow me to repay you this debt that our race owes you, and I shall never betray your trust, your grace!" Jon looks at Melisandre, and can feel the sincerity in her voice, and nods.

"Very well…" Jon says, looking at her. "Though I must ask, you seem to be familiar…"

"If you can identify me, I will explain everything, your Grace…" Melisandre challenges him, "For now, I have something for you…! A Gift that I had happened upon on my journey here to you!" She then slowly brings over her knapsack, and then brings out a tome. "A Tome from Old Valyria… One in which I found being sold in Meereen…" Jon gently takes the tome from her hands as Daenerys looks into it and they both read it, finding it is…

"My Notebook!" Jon says, shocked, "I was experimenting with Dragon Armor Smithing and I wrote all my notes here!" He looks through the pages and finds that all of his side notes have been neatly organized, and whats more, it is written in the hands of another person, including how to turn Dragonglass into Ebony, which is what the world outside of it calls the metal… "Valyrian Steel…!"

"What?" Ser Barristan asks, to which the members of their group lean in and read, "This Ebony Material is Valyrian Steel?"

"Yes, the crystallized blood of a god, but I never thought of using dragon fire to burn out the impurities to make it lighter!" Jon says, "Seven Hells, that would've made the forging so much simpler!" Jon closes the book and then sees the Author of the Book is named Rhaelor, and the symbol on it is that of House Targaryen. "Now it all makes sense… Glass, Fire, and Blood!"

"Our House words and Dragonglass! Combining those elements together, one can create Valyrian Steel!" Daenerys says, "Melisandre, you have no idea how much this means to us!"

"I live only to serve!" Melisandre says with a bow, "I have even set up a forge, and a chest filled with the materials you need to begin your experimentation as you wait for the other Khals to arrive, your grace!" When Jon hears that, it's almost as if his eyes light up, and he looks at the woman with the face of a child going to play with a new toy.

"Please lead the way!" Jon says, to which the Priestess bows and leads Jon to a spot near the great longhouse, in which Jon finds the chest, with a Forge, Anvil, and Smelter that he is used to seeing from Tamriel, and begins to read into the book, following the process, reading the notes that Rhaelor left behind.

"When heating the Dragonglass, one must be aware of the temperature of the material as it melts, for once it has been melted, it must be set into an ingot mold, then allowed to cool and crystallize slightly, after which it must be released into a quench trough filled with blood… Experiments done with willing slaves, animals, even dragons have all yielded different results…" Rhaelor explains, "However, it appears that the Blood of Old Valyria works best once it has been properly chilled…" Jon notices that the runes change from Valyrian to that of Dovahzul, and thanks to Jon reading it, he can see the real method, and a message that Rhaelor left behind. "I thank my ancestors that I retained the ability to speak and write in Dovahzul… Qahnaarin, if you are reading this now, then know that my name of Rhaelor is something that you have figured out is not real. It has been a long time since we last met, and it seems we will never meet again. However, I want you to be sure to follow my instructions to the letter, for you are no longer in Nirn… This world doesn't take it's magic from the stars as ours did, instead it takes it from the Earth itself, and you must learn to be mindful of that…" Jon smiles as he reads it, and then looks at the forge as he sets the book aside and reads it as he goes, following Rhaelor's instructions carefully.

"First, as you probably know, Dragonglass is the Blood of the Earth, making it the perfect conductor for magic…" Rhaelor explains in his writings, in which the entourage watch as Jon carefully takes the Dragonglass from the chest. "To transform it into Valyrian Steel, you must first melt the glass with Dragonfire, thus charging the obsidian with the magic you and the dragons possess…"

"Yol… Toor-Shul…" Jon whispers into the smelter, lighting the flames and then pouring charcoal into it to keep it burning.

"The Smelters you will use will allow you to more evenly distribute and control the rate at which the glass liquifies and is charged with magic… As it is liquifying, fill the solidification mold with your blood. As you are already part dragon god, your blood will be the perfect means in which to contain the magic as the glass transforms into Valyrian Steel." Jon cuts his hand and pours blood into the mold, Daenerys wanting to rush to her husband, but sees how he concentrates and generates a healing light around his body that closes the wound. "Your Restoration Magic will help you regain the blood you lost filling the mold, but you know this… In any case, chill the blood so that it is as cold as ice, this will accelerate up the process in which the glass transforms into Valyrian Steel whilst ensuring as much of the magic remains within the glass as possible."

"Fo… Krah-Diin…" Jon says as he whispers to the blood, causing vapor to erupt from his lips and for the bright red blood to lose it's brightness and darken from the cold.

"Once the Glass has become fully liquified, pour it into the blood and allow it to rest and solidify. The blood will evaporate until the Obsidian transforms into a solid ingot of metal, leaving only the black and silver metallic glass behind." Once the metal is finished, he can't believe his eyes, and then it dawns on him, Valyrian Steel isn't Steel at all… It's Ebony!

"When you hold the metal in your hands, Qahnaarin, you will notice it is much lighter than what you are used to, and that is due to the fact the Valyrian Steel you hold in your hand, and the crystallized God's Blood of Nirn are completely different. The Dragonglass of Nirn naturally contained a unique form of iron in it, as it was the literal crystallized blood of a God, this, while now having the strength, toughness, and malleability of to match, it is still technically glass, and is thus much lighter in comparison."

Feeling the ingot in his hand once it is cooled, he finds that his ancestor is right, it is nearly 10x lighter than an ingot of the same size back in Nirn. Not only that, it feels just like glass, while the Ebony he is used to was clearly metallic despite being described as glass as well. He looks back at the book once he finishes this comparison, wondering what else Rhaelor has to say.

"Once you have enough ingots, you can forge the Ebony Arms and Armors you are used to, but these ones will be black and silver in color, and if you use different colors of Obsidian, you will gain different colors as well. That is how you will be able to forge Ebony Weapons and Armors, but know that I have seen the designs of your Dragonscale and Dragonbone Armors, and I can sadly say you have little to no creativity when it comes to making armors. The ones you crafted are simplistic, but provide great functionality, but lack little grace or style, so I have taken the liberty to improve upon your original designs." Rhaelor explains in his writing, showing his disgust at Jon's design choices when it comes to his armors. "I hope my Dragon Armors are to your liking, it took me quite a while to perfect the balance of style and protection… I have left instructions on how to make them, and they will be just as functional and elastic as your own armors were. I even improved upon the designs of your weapons as well. Now all I can say to you now is this: Goodbye and Good Luck, my Last Successor and Future Descendant!

Winter is Coming with Fire and Blood

Miraak, The First Dragonborn/ Rhaelor, First Lord of House Targaryen"

Jon can't help but smirk as he reads that last line in the instructions, but then his eyes are drawn to the exact and precise blueprints and instructions on how to properly create the armors and weapons and reveals that Jon's Dragonscale Mail and Dragonbone Plates designs have been vastly improved by Rhaelor. These instructions are joined with two maps, one of Old Valyria and one of the Freehold as it is today, in ruins, but both maps display the location in the same location, the city of Draconys, in the Lands of the Long Summer, on the southernmost tip of the Sea of Sighs. Aside from the Map and the instructions, he finds another message, this time for Daenerys, also written in Dovahzul.

"To the Beautiful and Lovely Daenerys, another of my descendants, and one who will have a heavy burden placed upon her… I am sure you know of your father's madness and what he had intended for the place known as King's Landing… I also know you might ask questions as to why I know all of this! Well, there are artifacts from Nirn that somehow managed to survive it's destruction, and the most powerful of these were the Elder Scrolls… The Elder Scrolls are literal Fragments of Creation, and with them, as well as a Tiid-Ahraan, a Time Wound, one can see Past, Present, and Future… I created the Glass Candle's Magic based on the magic found in the Elder Scroll! In any case, by using the Elder Scroll in conjunction with my candles, I can for see into the past and future, and I have come to realize that this world is not different from Nirn at all… It… Is… Nirn! It was reformed from the remains of what Qahnaarin had destroyed, and now the Aedra and Daedra rule this world as equals, and this brings me to a point I want to make."

"There will be a saying in your time that goes like this: Whenever a Targaryen is Born, the Gods flip a coin, with one side being Greatness, and the other Madness. This is no accident, for due to our excessive inbreeding, our house will be unintentionally selling their souls to the Daedric Princes of Order and Madness, Jyggalag and Sheogorath respectively. You must know that both of these Princes will attempt to manipulate your life in order to see which of them claims your soul… On one hand, you will destroy all of King's Landing, completing your father's plot to burn it to the ground with Wildfyre, and become Queen of the Ashes, and Qahnaarin will be forced to end you, but will in turn give into his madness once again, selling your souls to Sheogorath. On the other, you will rule with Qahnaarin, and bring decades of Tyrannical Law and Order, but in doing so, you will both be playthings in Jyggallag's games. However, there is a third option, and suppose you flip a coin enough times, suppose one day, it will land on it's edge… You will have to discover the meaning of the Edge, and what acts as the Axle of the Wheel of Power before you break it. However, always be mindful of Jyggalag and Sheogorath, they will whisper in your ears when you have doubts or your blood runs hot, as your husband very well knows, as he suffers from his whispers every time he gets angry."

"I will also say this, when you free the Unsullied at Astapor, don't go to the rest of Slaver's Bay, come to Draconys, and explore the city, you will find things that will aid you. Before I end this message, there is one more thing that must be said… With the insight given to me by my Elder Scrolls, I have been able to predict a future for you, the Song of Ice and Fire as I like to call it. The ancient evils, the White Walkers, as of the Year of the False Spring, they had broken free of the seal that Azor Ahai had placed them in, and his Lightbringer, the weapon that held the seal in place for thousands of years, had finally broken due to the last of it's flames burning out, and the cold shattering the blade. They have nearly fully recuperated from the time they had spent imprisoned, and shall soon begin rebuilding their numbers and raising their army of the Dead… From the moment you read this message, you will have 10 years to prepare for the Night King's arrival, less than 8 if he manages to kill and take control of one of your dovah… The Wall will be your only means of delaying him, and if you manage to find the Axle of the Wheel and the Edge of the Coin before the Wall falls, you will know how to defeat him… And when you find it… Be ready to watch Qahnaarin show what it truly means to be Dragonborn! Goodbye and Good Luck, Strunnahkiin!

Miraak"

Daenerys reads all of this carefully, and is terrified at what she could become thanks to the two Daedric Princes who are fighting over her and her husband, looking at him with fear in her eyes, not for herself, but for him. She watches as Jon begins to work at the forge, making more and more of these Ebony Ingots, and then he begins to use his tools to make armors. She looks at what Rhaelor, or rather Miraak, had left them, then gently sets the book down for Jon and wanders off some distance so she can think. Daenerys's feet soon take her towards the market, her maids following close behind her. There is a man shouting his wares, and Daenerys looks to the man, and, thinking she could use a drink, goes to the man. "Oh my lady! If you taste this drink, you will name your firstborn after me!"

"I've not decided a name for my first child, and I don't know if I am pregnant yet! However, I would like to taste that wine! Just a taste!"

"My lady, you are from Westeros?"

"You have the Honor of Addressing Daenerys of the House Targaryen, Khaleesi of the Dothraki and Princess of the Seven Kingdoms!"

"Princess…!" The wine seller says, bowing.

"Rise, and I would still like to taste that wine!" Daenerys says, kindly.

"This? It's not fit for a princess!" The Wine Seller says, throwing the contents of the cup aside and brings out a cask, "I have a Dry Arbor Red, the nectar of the Gods! Take this cask as a gift!"

"You honor me good sir!"

"The Honor is all mine!"

"Rakharo…" Melisandre says, "Set that cask down…"

"Lady Melisandre!" Daenerys says, "Is something wrong?"

"I've not had a decent Arbor in years… I would very much like a drink…" She gestures to the man, "Open it…"

"It is for the Khaleesi, not the likes of you, Red Witch…" The Wine Seller says, but then Melisandre roars like a malevolent beast as her mouth opens into a perfect rectangle, revealing her glowing red eyes in all their fury and her teeth transform into that of monstrous fangs.

"OPEN IT!" Melisandre demands, to which Wine Seller, now terrified, does as he is told, and pours Melisandre a drink without hesitation, to which Melisandre lifts the drink to her nose and sniffs it. "Strangler…" She says, to which the Wine Seller, looks fearful.

"What is that?" Daenerys asks, not taking her eyes off of the Wine Seller.

"Poison…" Melisandre says, to which the man runs as fast as he can, pushing the Khaleesi aside. Rakharo catches her midfall as Melisandre transforms into a swarm of bats, and then appears upon him, pinning him down, snarling. Jon rushes over with some of his men and they take the assassin into custody. Daenerys steps forward, catching her breath as she looks at Melisandre.

"I owe you my life, Lady Melisandre…!"

"It was an honor, Khaleesi…" Melisandre says, bowing humbly.

"Melisandre, you have saved my wife from an assassin, and while I still hate the vampires, I can find no evil in you… You are welcome to ride with us for as long as you wish!"

"You honor me, Khal… And I shall not disappoint you!" Melisandre says, still holding the glass filled with poisoned wine and drinks it to the base, smiling.

"Wait!"

"Do not worry, love… Vampires are highly resistant to diseases and poisons…! It's why their blood, once processed into dust, can be used to make potions that cure diseases…!"

"And I will gladly offer my blood to make these potions should it be required, your grace!" Melisandre says, smiling at Jon, and then she looks at Daenerys, smiling gently, "And you should be more cautious…" She gently touches Daenerys's Breasts, to which the Princess gasps a bit, not from being stunned but from how tender they are. "For you must be mindful of your child…"

"Child…?" Daenerys asks, placing a hand on her belly, finding it has become taut, and she had not noticed, and Jon, stunned, gently places a hand where Melisandre's is and feels Daenerys is indeed Pregnant.

"But… How…?" Jon asks, shocked, but before he can say another word, Melisandre looks at him.

"A sign that Akatosh knows remorse… He had been cruel to take your chance at being a father, even more so when your own adopted children had been taken from you by Vampires… As such, he had removed the cruel restriction upon you becoming a father in this life, and has thus granted you that which you desired most… A family…" Melisandre says, smiling at Jon, to which the Dragonborn is smiling with tears flowing down his cheeks as he pulls Daenerys close, hugging her, the Princess returning the embrace.

"Lady Melisandre, could I speak to you tonight, alone?"

"Of course, your grace!" The Rest of the day progresses as it normally would, and soon the sun sets as a feast begins, with Jon smiling as he gnaws on the bone of pork leg that had been given to him, to which Daenerys remembers seeing dogs do the same, and can't help but imagine Jon as a wolf gnawing on a bone. However, that is when an image appears in her mind of Jon transforming into a wolf-like monster and then him going on a rampage in a city of stone, wood, and with a great tree at it's highest district, only stopping when he comes upon her, jumping on her and pinning her down. Daenerys wants to scream but she can't when she tries, her mouth is closed, and she looks at Jon with eyes filled with fear. She can see the animal that Jon had become look at her with it's wrathful, hungry eyes, only for them to soften and the beast to back away and lie down on the ground, whining like a scolded puppy. That is when Daenerys finds herself in a light blue dress, stitched together with materials, and in the reflection of a nearby trickling water source, finds her hair is red instead of the silver she knows.

She looks at Jon, and then reaches to his maw, and gently pets him, to which the Guards surrounding them look in awe as the woman tames the beast before them, and they hear it whining, only for a man with a crown upon his head to come into the town and to aid in bringing the beast to a cell, where it finds the furthest corner and lies down, whining. When he retakes his human form, he would explain to the Jarl he had been bitten by a wolf during a recent trip to a place called the Eldergleam's Sanctuary, and that he hadn't realized what was going on until it was too late. For the lives he took, he would remain weeks inside the cell, but the Jarl would set him free aftewards, saying that he probably hadn't realized he had been attacked by a werewolf.

Snapping out of this image, Daenerys looks to Melisandre, who is winning drinking contest after drinking contest with the men of their Khalassar, and any who try to touch her, she humiliates them by sending them flying across the hall. As she doesn't spill blood, she is not disrespecting the laws of Vaes Dothrak, and Daenerys decides to talk to the Vampire now while Jon is busy, feasting and enjoying himself. Taking cautious steps to the woman, Daenerys sits next to her. "Lady Melisandre…"

"Yes, your grace?" The Red Woman says.

"I would like to have that talk now… If we may step outside…" Daenerys says, the Red Woman nodding as they exit the building and go outside where they can speak alone. "There is something that is bothering me…"

"What is it, your Grace?"

"Please be truthful with me…" Daenerys says, "Your name isn't really Melisandre is it?"

"No…" Melisandre says, smirking.

"Then who are you…?" Daenerys asks.

"I am sure you could have figured it out… If you looked in a Mirror and replaced your colors with mine…" Melisandre says, smiling. Daenerys looks at her and thinks back to that woman in the vision she had, and then it clicks in her head. "What is my name…?"

"Ysolda…!"

Author's Note: And that is where we will end thing's off right now! Sorry for this being such a short Chapter, and again, sorry for making this a 3 Parter but trust me, it was necessary in this case, as I have to set up Jon fighting several different khals at once, though only 6 of them are confirmed to have names. There is also the added pressure of setting up Melisandre, now revealing herself to be Ysolda, in how she managed to get sent here thousands of years earlier, and how Daenerys saw one of her memories (though I did leave a hint for you guys near the end there)! Anyway, I hope you guys like this story, be sure to Follow, Favorite, and Review, and be sure to catch up on Longclaw 1-6's stuff, cuz I think he is going to upload a new chapter soon, at least i hope so! Oh and if you want to see Jon's adventures as Ormr Bloodskal, then be sure to leave "ESV: Bloodskal" in your reviews, and if I can get 20 of them, I'll do it! Catch you on the Flipside! DOV-AH-KIIN!
