(Hogwarts: Dining Hall – next day)

Harry was sitting at the end of the Gryffindor table, reading one of the books that Snape had picked for him to read as he was eating lunch, and it had many useful spells to use against magic creatures or just in general. Harry was about to turn another page when he overheard a hushed conversation that wasn't obviously as quiet as the speakers had hoped.

"Come on, Ron. I know you two are fighting but this could save his life" Argued Hermione

"He is the one that decided to enter himself, he can handle himself" Responded Ron

"I don't think he can handle this" Argued Hermione

"If you want to tell him that it will likely involve Dragon then go ahead. As far as I am concerned, he is not my best mate anymore" Snapped Ron as Harry paled, knowing that if they were right then he had to fight a dragon for the first task.

"He doesn't deserve to know; it might save his life" Begged Hermione

"He is the boy-who-lived, I am sure he can survive dragons" Stated Ron sarcastically

"Don't joke about that" Hissed Hermione

"Why? He obviously isn't my friend if he couldn't tell me he entered his name" Retorted Ron as Harry got up, having heard enough and wanting to get more updated books on dragons from the library before heading to Charm Class.

(Hogwarts: Snape's office)

Harry had once again entered Snape's Office after knocking to find Snape sitting behind the table with some books and tomes sitting on the desk.

"Sit" Ordered Snape as Harry sat down

"Did you look through any of the books?" asked Snape

"I did, not much I had three classes and had to get some homework done. I did find out something about the first task" admitted Harry

"And what would that be Potter?" asked Snape curiously as Harry mumbled something

"Care to repeat that?" Hissed Snape

"Dragons, the first task involves dragons" Stated Harry more clearly

"Of course, it does. And how pray tell did you hear about this?" Stated Snape sighing

"I overheard Ron and Hermione talking about whether they should tell me. Ron's brother Charlie is a keeper for a Dragon Preserve" Explained Harry

"I am guessing that they didn't tell you then?" asked Snape

"No, they didn't." admitted Harry as Snape hummed before finding a fresh piece of parchment before writing a new book list

"I doubt that they would have you fight a Dragon, but we shall prepare for each individuality. Now do you have any ideas?" asked Snape as Harry thought about it

"If I had to get past it, I could fly" Suggested Harry as Snape had to struggle to not face palm

"A Gryffindor idea" Sneered Snape

"And what is wrong with that?" Retorted Harry

"The dragon could be chained but what if it breaks through? No one, even you, can out fly a dragon" Replied Snape

"Oh … Any suggestions?" asked Harry

"I do. Conjunctivitis Curse can cause irritation of their eyes which is one of the weak spots of a dragon" Explained Snape

"So hit it in the eyes with the irritation curse does what exactly?" Started Harry

"The eye of dragon is the only weak spot, and if they can't see they can't chase you" Explained Snape as Harry thought about something about, he learned in muggle school

"What about freezing them to slow them down? Aren't they reptiles?" asked Harry as Snape looked a little impressed

"You are correct, the Freezing spell will slow them down. I shall add that spell to the list." Stated Snape as he wrote the idea down

"What if I have to fight it?" asked Harry

"We shall focus on getting past it first, fighting it requires spell that will be difficult to learn in the required time" Stated Snape

"Wouldn't it make more sense to learn those first?" asked Harry

"Normally it would, but a strong grasp on the Conjunctivitis Curse and the Freezing Spell are more of a priority. Come we shall go to an unused classroom so that I might teach you these spells" Instructed Snape as Harry stood

(Hogwarts: Snape's potion lab)

Severus had returned to his lab after closing his session with Potter, he had a start on the Freezing Spell and was progressing at a good rate for his first time. He decided to do the Conjunctivitis curse after the Freezing spell. He was studying the blood sample that he had taken from Potter and decided to get a professional opinion. The Blood strangely enough was more reddish green than a blood red. So, he took the floo to the Infirmary to get it looked at, as well as bring a potion for a student.

"Ah, Severus you are here late" Stated Madame Pomphrey

"I am bringing the potion for Ms. Greengrass." Stated Severus as he handed over two potions' vials

"And the other?" asked Pomphrey

"The other is a blood sample, I think your expertise might be ideal here. I would like to know if there is anything wrong with the blood" Requested Severus

"And who does the sample belong to?" Inquired Pomphrey

"I am not at liberty to say at this time" Replied Snape

"I see, I shall look over the potion and get back to you. And I will give the potion to Ms. Greengrass when she comes in the morning" Responded Pomphrey as Snape nodded and departed. Madame Pomphrey bought the potions into her office as she was looking at the potions, she noticed that the identifiers were not sticked enough and they fell off. She looked at both one was blood red and the other was Greenish Red. Thinking that the greenish red was the potion, she put the identifier on and putting the blood identifier on the blood red vial.

(Hogwarts: Infirmary – next morning)

"I'm ok" Reassured Astoria Greengrass as she was being helped into the Infirmary by her sister, Daphne.

"Don't lie, please Tori" Stated Daphne

"The potion tastes awful" admitted Astoria

"It is better than the pain" Responded Daphne

"I know" admitted Astoria softly as Madame Pomphrey saw them and came walking over.

"Ms. Greengrass, I assume you are here for your potion" Stated Madame Pomphrey

"We are" Stated Daphne as she helped Astoria up to one of the beds

"Here, the whole thing dear" Stated Madame Pomphrey as she handed Astoria the greenish red vial

"This looks different then the last one" Pointed out Daphne

"Professor Snape said he was experimenting with a new formula" Recalled Astoria as she downed the vial and grimaced as it went down

"The taste certainly hasn't improved" Stated Astoria

"Why don't you sleep for a bit, dear. I shall let you know Ms. Greengrass if there are any changes" Stated Madame Pomphrey

"Alright, I will be back later Tori" Stated Daphne softly

"I will be fine, Daphne" Reassured Astoria

"I just worry, that is all" Stated Daphne

(Hogwarts: Halls)

Harry was just leaving with lunch to get a little practice with the spells in an unused classroom before returning to his dorms to take a nap before Astronomy. Of course, nothing could go his way and he heard a voice behind him.

"Potter" Sneered Draco as Harry sighed and turned to see Draco along with his bodyguards Crabbe and Goyle

"Malfoy, I am not in the mood for you. Go away" Retorted Harry

"Write your will yet, you will need after the first task." Retorted Draco

"I think I will manage" Retorted Harry angrily, as even stopped to look but did nothing to stop it, these people probably wanted to see Harry put in his place.

"Face it, Potter. Without your Mudblood you are doomed" Boasted Draco as Harry curled his left fist at his side, but his right had his wand at his sleeve just in case, as he stared around and not wanting to rise to Draco's bait, decided for once to walk away

"Where are you think you are going?" demanded Draco as he aimed his wand at Harry

"Away" Retorted Harry as Draco went red and sent a spell Harry's way which Harry barely managed to avoid before aiming his wand at them just as a professor walked up

"What is going on here?" demanded Professor McGonagall

"Harry was threatening me" Lied Draco

"He lies, he was trying to get a rise out of me. I decided to walk away, and he tried to curse me" Retorted Harry angrily

"Potter is Lying" Stated someone from the crowd

"Detention tomorrow night, Mr. Potter" Stated Professor McGonagall and as Harry was about to retort, Snape came walking over

"Move along" Ordered Snape as the students departed

"Not you, Potter" Sneered Snape as Harry stopped and turned to the professors

"I shall take his detention, Minerva. I know that you are preparing for a test on Friday" Stated Snape smoothly

"That will be fine" Stated McGonagall as she shot Harry a disappointed glance before walking away

"The Usually time, Potter. Don't be late" Stated Snape as he walked off

(Hogwarts: Snape's office – next night)

Harry had once again entered Snape's office for another attention and took a seat in the familiar chair.

"May I ask what your altercation with Mr. Malfoy was about?" asked Snape

"He was trying to get me angry, and I wasn't going for it. I was walking away, and he cursed me in the back, I barely avoided it and I turned back with my wand in my hand as McGonagall was coming up. The crowd backed up Draco. I bet they wanted me to suffer" Explained Harry

"What exactly did he say?" asked Snape

"He said I better have a will written, since I will probably die" Responded Harry

"I see. I would suggest traveling with a friend but since you are alone right now, I recommend being extra cautious" Recommended Snape

"I will, I just wish Ron and Hermione would believe me" admitted Harry

"And why don't they?" asked Snape curiously

"Ron thinks I did because I was famous, thinks that I put my name and am lying about it. Hermione says that I broke the rules by entering myself" Scowled Harry

"What about Black?" Sneered Snape, even though he was helping Harry he still didn't have to like Black, not one bit

"I had sent him a letter the night of the selection. I have gotten nothing back so far" admitted Harry sadly

"I see, have you been practicing the freezing spell?" asked Snape

"I have, I have gotten better at it" admitted Harry

"Let us go the classroom and check your progress" Stated Snape as he stood
