(Hogwarts: Classroom)
Harry was being led to a classroom by Professor McGonagall, for a wand weighing ceremony. He was practicing spells in an unused classroom when he was found and literally dragged by Professor McGonagall to this ceremony.
"Now that Mr. Potter is here, we can begin" Stated Ludo Bagman as McGonagall went over and talked to Dumbledore while looking in his direction
"We shall do the weighing of the wands then pictures and Interviews" Stated Ludo Bagman as Ollivander stepped forwards and start inspecting the other champions wands before reaching Harry, as he held his hand out.
"Ah I remember this one. A fine wand, and cleaned recently" Mused Ollivander
"Thank you, Sir" Stated Harry
"A 11-inch-long holly wand with a phoenix core" Revealed Ollivander
"Great, pictures." Stated Ludo as the Champions were put into position and the pictures were all taken and as Harry thought it was over, he moved to leave before a hand on his shoulder stopped him and he turned to see a woman in green
"I would love an interview from the boy-who-lived" Stated the Witch
"Sorry, I am not giving interviews" Replied Harry as he knew something about this witch screamed like it was a bad idea
"All Champions have to give interview" Stated the Witch as Harry turned to Bagman
"Is this true?" asked Harry
"No, they don't have to give interviews, although it is encouraged" Replied Bagman
"Great, I am not giving me one." Replied Harry
"The readers would love to hear from you" Stated the Witch as Harry pretended to think
"Alright, you want my statement" Stated Harry
"Thank you" Stated the Witch as smiled as she pulled out a piece of parchment and a green quill
"No Comment" Stated Harry as he walked away with a slight smirk on his face
(Hogwarts: Snape's office)
"We have a lot to talk about, tonight Potter" Stated Snape as they sat at their usually places in Snape's office
"Is it about the wand weighting ceremony?" asked Harry
"Did anything interesting happen?" asked Snape with a raised eyebrow
"They look at our wands, took pictures. And some reporter tried to get me to do an interview" admitted Harry
"A witch dressed in green with blonde hair and a green quill?" Quired Snape
"That is her" admitted Harry
"Please say you didn't give an interview" Stated Snape sighing
"No, I thought she looked shady. The only thing I told her was no comment" Replied Harry
"That is good, she is Rita a reporter for the Daily Prophet. She twists stories to fit a narrative, which is usually to slander. No doubt that she will twist what you said anyway but you didn't give her a lot of ammunition hopefully" Stated Snape
"Now, you remember how I took a sample of your blood" Asked Snape
"Yes" answered Harry
"Well, I took it to Madame Pomphrey but didn't tell whose sample it was. I also took a potion for another student, somehow she mixed the potions and your blood up" Sneered Snape
"What … That is disgusting … A student drank my blood" Stated Harry disgusted
"So much more for them than you, I am sure." Replied Snape
"So, you need another then?" asked Harry
"Yes, but that is not all. The student's parent wish to talk to you" Stated Snape as he walked over and took another sample
"I am not in trouble, am I? And why would they want to meet me?" asked Harry confused
"No, you are not in trouble … for this. As for why, their child suffers from a … blood curse. When the student drank your blood, their condition improved. The Parents has taken this to mean that your blood is the cure" Responded Snape
"Couldn't it be the Basilisk Venom or the Phoenix tears?" asked Harry with a frown
"We will not know until Madame Pomphrey examines it" Responded Snape
"Are they Death Eaters?" asked Harry
"No, they are not." Responded Snape
"What is your opinion?" asked Harry as Snape paused
"I would meet with them; it is the polite thing to do. They will most likely try to enter a deal with you in your blood is indeed a cure." Responded Snape
"Can I have an adult present?" asked Harry
"I would recommend myself, unless you have another adult you would rather have" Suggested Snape
"You are fine, sir. I would want it after the 1st task though" Stated Harry
"A good idea, I shall take this sample to Madame Pomphrey later tonight. Now let us see how you handle this new spell" Stated Snape
(Hogwarts: Dining Hall – next morning)
Harry saw the Owls fly in as he sat at the end of the Gryffindor table as it was his tradition since his name came out of the Goblet. An Owl landed in front of him for a change, and he took the newspaper and sighed. He knew giving the comment would come back to bite him. After he had read the article, it was clear that the Article was bashing him for entering himself into the tournament and taking liberty of what he did say, which was nothing. He put the newspaper down, not wanting to look at these lies anymore and instead returning to a book that would help him prepare for the tournament.
(Hogsmeade – a couple of days later)
Harry was under his invisibility cloak and carefully looking around as he went towards the cave that Sirius will be in. He finally got out of range of everyone else and decided to take off the cloak and saw a familiar dog sitting in the cave, and as Harry approached the dog shifted into his Godfather who promptly gave him a hug.
"It is good to see you, Pup" Greeted Sirius
"You too, Sirius" Stated Harry with a smile
"How are your preparation going for the tournament?" asked Sirius
"Alright, I already found out what the task is and am preparing for it. Why they thought we can fight Dragons is behind me" admitted Harry
"Dragons" Stated Sirius surprised
"Yeah" admitted Harry with a shrug
"How did you find this out?" asked Sirius with a raised eyebrow
"I overheard Ron and Hermione talking about Ron's brother who is a dragon keeper and how he is here, it wasn't difficult to reach that conclusion" Shared Harry
"Why wouldn't they tell you?" asked Sirius confused as Harry looked down
"Harry, you can talk to me" Stated Sirius as Harry looked up and sighed
"I didn't enter myself, someone entered me. Most of the school, including Hermione and Ron believe that I did enter myself and am taking glory from the Hogwarts Champion" Scowled Harry
"Tell me that someone is helping you at least?" asked Sirius
"I have been fine by myself" Lied Harry, for once respecting Snape and not spilling the secrets as he couldn't afford to do this himself, if it was discovered
"Harry, I know you plenty capable, but you are younger and in a competition with a death toll. You need someone to help you" Stated Sirius carefully
"Who? No one wants anything to do with me. I can't ask the professor for help because it is against the rules" Snapped Harry
"Screw the rules, your life is more important" Responded Sirius
"I know, I have a strategy in mind. I am sure it will work" Stated Harry
"If you need anything, don't hesitate to owl me" Offered Sirius
"Thank you … actually can you send me something about becoming an Animagus" Replied Harry as Sirius blinked
"I will have to look through the library, it will take time to do through the process and you will need someone in case something goes wrong" Warned Sirius
"I don't expect it to happen before the 2nd task, but it might be useful for the 3rd … whatever that task might be" admitted Harry
"Anything else you want to talk about?" asked Sirius
"What … What do you know about Blood curses?" Inquired Harry as he remembered the incident with his blood being a cure for a student's blood curse
"You don't have one, do you?" asked Sirius panicking
"No, I just um heard the term and wanted to know what you knew about it" Reassured Harry
"Don't scare me like that …. A blood curse is a curse put on a blood line. Usually, it makes the person weaker and frailer and a shorter lifespan" Explained Sirius
"Is there a cure?" asked Harry
"No, there isn't. Many think that the family that cast the curse can end it, but it doesn't work like that" Explained Sirius
"Oh" Stated Harry
"It is a friend, isn't it?" asked Sirius carefully
"I … I don't know" Stated Harry sadly, thinking what the student most go through
"Well, as much as I want to stay longer. The Longer I am here the more chance we get caught. I shall send you the letters" Stated Sirius
"Bye Sirius, stay safe" Stated Harry
"You too, Pup" Stated Sirius as he transformed back into the Grim as he departed
(Hogwarts: Hallway)
"Potter" called a voice as Harry sighed and turned around on his way to Snape's office, seeing that was Cedric's girlfriend Cho had called him out
"What do you want?" Stated Harry coldly
"I want to talk in private" Demanded Cho as Harry studied her
"Go away" Responded Harry
"Please Potter, I know that you know what the first task entails" Stated Cho as a light bulb went off and Harry knew what she wanted
"Cedric doesn't know does he, and you want me to tell you so you can tell him" Guessed Harry
"Fine, yes you caught me. I am worried about his odds of surviving and since you know what it is … it could help him" Argued Cho
"Why should I" Retorted Harry
"Because it is the right thing to do" Retorted Cho as Harry laughed
"You want to talk about what is right? The whole school turning against me, my best friends turning against me, me having to prepare for an of age tournament I didn't enter by myself." Argued Harry
"You did enter yourself" Hissed Cho
"I am tired of arguing with people about it, if that is what you want to believe then go ahead. I am not telling you what the task is" Stated Harry firmly
"If Cedric dies in the task, it is your fault" Stated Cho
"No, it wouldn't, he is the one who entered himself in the dangerous tournament not me. Now if you excuse me, I am going to be late for my detention" Stated Harry as he walked off
(Hogwarts: Snape's office)
"You are late" Stated Snape as he looked up from some papers he was grading
"I was stopped by Cho, she wanted to know what the first task was" Shared Harry as he sat down
"And did you tell her?" asked Snape curiously
"No, I didn't" Stated Harry
"Doesn't that go against being a Gryffindor?" Drawled Snape
"Probably, but why should I help him. He doesn't curb his house and allows Hufflepuff to get away with harassment. I know any student doesn't believe but it doesn't mean they should go out of their to harass me" Admitted Harry
"So, if he had his house stop harassing you, you would have told him?" Inquired Snape with a raised eyebrow
"Yeah, I think I would have" admitted Harry
"Hmm" Replied Snape
"I did have an idea for future things we could learn, it could be useful for the third task" Stated Harry
"Do you know what the third task is?" asked Snape
"Well, no" admitted Harry
"Then how do you know it would be … useful" Replied Snape
"It is a useful skill" Argued Harry
"And what would that be?" asked Snape with a sigh
"Animagus" Replied Harry
"Of course, You do know that it difficult to complete a transformation?" Inquired Snape
"That is what they said about the Patronus Charm, and I learned that last year sir" Argued Harry
"If you could learn it, I do not have any such books about it, and that is more Professor McGonagall's area of expertise" Replied Snape
"She wouldn't let me learn it now, I can handle it. And I asked Sirius for a book on it, he said he would send one" Argued Harry
"Of course, Sirius would suggest such a thing … What is your Transfiguration grade?" asked Snape
"An EE" Replied Harry
"If you can get an O by Christmas, I will strongly consider it" Conceded Snape
"Thank you" Stated Harry
"I haven't made any promises yet" Reminded Snape
