Title: His Talking, Her Listening

A/N: My first posted Naruto fic! Well, a one-shot anyway. So, please review! ) Encouragement needed! Btw, this is a NejiTen fic. –sigh- I love them.
Disclaimer: Naruto belongs to Kishimoto. But sushi shall always and forever belong to me!
Summary: She could never manage to tune out his voice, no matter the circumstance.
Whenever someone was talking, she could always manage to tune out their voice, and retreat back to her own little world, fantasies and images and stories afloat. (Weapons too, of course.)
No, she defended herself. It wasn't that what they said was boring. Not at all.
He…was just a different story.
Whenever he was talking, she just couldn't stop listening.
Perhaps it was the fact that he seldom spoke, and when he did, they were very much needed words.
Or perhaps it was that he spoke very softly, and she had to strain to hear.
Maybe it was because he was almost always the team leader, and all team members had to listen to him.
But here, sitting beneath the tree, lying down relaxed with arms folded behind her head, she shook her head no at all these possibilities.
Because when she looked in his bottomless white, white, eyes, she knew the answer was oh so clear.
And when his lips curled into a little half-smile at the oddest, rarest times, it was there. Right in front of her.
Sitting up straight as fast as a bolt of lightning, she looked sideways at his slightly puzzled face leaning towards hers.
And it hit her.
She had finally realized it.
She loved him.
And so when he leaned forward and claimed her lips in a kiss, she didn't hesitate to gently place her flitting hands onto his arms.
Because, after all, he loved her too.
