This is a poem I wrote for Eddie Gurerro after I heard he had died.I know this is a little late, butI miss seeing him in the ring terribly, and I'm posting it so other people can identify with it and show him some much deserved respect. Rest in peace Eddie.

Tribute to a Fallen Hero

From every match you fought,

To every title you won.

Every night you hurt,

And all the days,

You flew from place to place,

Just so you could put a smile on someone's face.

Everytime you took a bump,

Or the time you fell from a ladder sixteen feet up,

You were a hero.

From every picture you took,

To every autograph you signed.

Every hand you shook,

And all the hugs you gave,

To adoring girls,

Just so you could put a smile on someone's face.

To every little fan,

With a Guerrero t-shirt or cardboard belt,

You were a hero.

From every home arena,

To every over-sea town.

Every low-rider you drove,

And all the things you stole,

All the people you lied to and cheated,

Just so you could put a smile on someone's face.

From every character,

Heel or face,

You were a hero.

From every rookie you scouted,

To all to ones you trained.

Every luchador you talked to,

And all the inspiration you left,

To all the aspiring amateurs,

Just so you could put a smile on someone's face.

To every Indy wrestler,

And all the backyard hopefuls,

You were a hero.

From every man you worked with,

To all the ones that wish you still did.

Every friend,

And all the guys in the locker room,

That miss all the pranks you played,

Just so you could put a smile on someone's face.

All the guys that cried,

To all your locker room brothers that mourned,

You were a hero.

We love you Eddie,

Your legacy will never be forgotten by the wrestling world.
