Chapter 8-This will be a time jump to August to celebrate Noah's 1st birthday. A lot has happened including Amanda being shot. I will look back at that as a memory. I went back and forth, but William Lewis will not exist. They will have their hands full with some Atlanta drama.
"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Noah! Happy birthday to you!" Olivia looked around at the people she called family. Melinda was juggling twins, while Lucy held Jesse. She would turn 1 next month. She saw Cragen with Eileen and noticed how happy he was. He was happier than she had seen. Fin was taking pictures and Nick was laughing while putting icing on his son's and daughter's noses.
Amanda clapped and tried to get Noah to blow out his candle. When only spit bubbles came out, she helped. She smiled watching them together. It was a fun day. Everyone even pitched in to clean up. Lucy came into the family room, "Try getting them to sleep hyped up on cake." Amanda smiled, "But you did it. Listen, silence." Lucy laughed, "Where's Liv?" Amanda wondered, "Shower I think. " Lucy waved, "Night."
Amanda went to look for her, Olivia had been quiet all day. She heard the shower and stepped in with her holding her waist. Olivia turned around, "Liv what's wrong? Sad because our baby is 1? Hey, pull it together, our other baby is right behind him." Olivia smiled and gave a small laugh. Then she ran her finger across the scar from the bullet that went through her shoulder 3 months ago.
Amanda looked, "Go ahead, do it." Olivia kissed it, "You almost weren't here." Amanda shook her head, "Liv it went straight through. If I was going to get shot it was the best way." Olivia frowned, "Stop blowing it off. You know what I mean." Amanda was sorry, "I know, but we're cops. It can happen and we both know it. I am here and I'm ok. I also know if anything ever happened to me, our kids have you." Olivia smiled, "Same."
Amanda dangled a vibrator in her face that was in her hand the whole time, "Now fuck me and on Jesse birthday, I'll return the favor." Olivia kissed her hard and did what was asked. After Amanda climbed into bed, "Shit Liv, I'm sore. You really had a lot on your mind." Olivia kissed her lips, "Want me to kiss it and make it better?" Amanda raised her eyebrows and Olivia disappeared between her legs, "Oh God Liv!"
Olivia kissed each inner thigh before kissing her slit. Amanda laughed, "Liv, that tickles!" Olivia looked up, "You wanted a kiss. Do you want a massage too?" Amanda was breathing heavily, "Yeah!" Olivia dipped her tongue all the in and out, then licking her entire inside, "Fuck!" Amanda's body shook, "Liv, I'm done." Olivia smiled and fell on her back. When Amanda finally recovered, she straddled her, "I want more toys." Amanda started grinding her, "Like what?" Amanda smiled, like a strap on that we both can feel and come together. So when I grind you you can feel it. Olivia smiled, "Amanda, I can feel now and she grabbed her hand and pushed it down her panties. A month later they were celebrating Jesse's birthday and as promised Amanda returned the favor with her brand new toy and they both came together screaming. They were on cloud nine going into work, but that wouldn't last, "Liv! Amanda! I need to see you." Cragen's tone was serious and worried both of them. "Amanda, how have you been? Are you still seeing your counselor?" Amanda was surprised, "Cap, I haven't done anything wrong. I'm with Liv, we have kids. I don't see her as often, but I can anytime. I'm happy."
Cragen hung his head, "I know and that's why I worried about what I'm about to say." He looked at Olivia and Amanda, "When you left Atlanta, you were replaced. My friend, the commander, has been watching them closely. Detective Reese Taymor was your replacement. She accused them of rape and then recanted. She was found dead in her apartment." Amanda sat on the couch. It was a punch in the gut. Olivia sat beside her, "Amanda, are you ok?" Amanda shook her head, "I know her, we were in the academy together." Cragen sat across from them, "Amanda, they want your kit and your help."
Olivia looked up, "Absolutely not!" Amanda was a wreck and Cragen calmed Olivia, "Liv, forget she's your wife and think. Amanda can take them down. We will protect her." Amanda listened, "What do they want me to do?" Cragen knew Amanda was brave, "We need to get on a plane to Atlanta tonight." They agreed, "Do I tell Fin and Nick?" Olivia rubbed her back, "That part is up to you." Amanda told them the truth while Olivia went to pack. They surrounded her with love as expected. Olivia smiled, "Lucy has the kids. Fin, Melinda said you two will help while we're gone." Fin nodded, "Sure thing."
They all caught a flight and got in late. It didn't matter, no one could sleep. The commander didn't take any chances. He reported to Cragen's suite and they had lunch there. "Detective Rollins, nice to meet you." Amanda still used Rollins at work so it wasn't confusing. "Thank you for releasing the kit. It came back positive for all of their DNA." Amanda shrugged, "So why am I here? What more do you need?" The commander sighed, "They're more than rapists. I believe they're murders. We want to put a wire on you and we want you to bait them. Threaten the kit, but we have that. We want them for Reese."
The room was silent. Amanda had been through so much, but she thought about Reese. "Ok, let's do it." She felt Olivia tense up beside her. When they went to the room, it all blew up. "Amanda Benson! What the fuck are you thinking!" Olivia never lost her cool, but Amanda was her everything. "They have the kit, why this!" Amanda kissed her and placed her arms around her, "Because we're cops and this is what we do. We go after the bad guys. They can't win Liv. And I'm doing this for us, for our family. Liv, if they were so desperate to go after Reese, do you think they aren't thinking about me? I have to end this for us."
Olivia knew she was right, "I'm sorry Amanda. I shouldn't have spoken…" Amanda kissed her lips, "You're forgiven, but when this is over, I'm spanking your ass." Amanda winked. Amanda put everything into play for the week. She walked around town making sure she would see cops she knew. The big production was showing up at Reese's funeral. She saw Patton and Reynolds standing in the back while she hugged her parents and she made sure they saw her.
Amanda wore glasses that would record everything video and audio. Her job was to lead them outside and bait them. She saw the surveillance van near her rental car. She was almost at the door when she heard it, "Amanda Rollins, well New York has you looking different. What are you doing here?" Amanda smirked, "I came to pay my respects. Reese and I were in the academy together, but you knew that, because she replaced me. I heard the accusations. You two have some balls to show up here. So I know you raped her, because you raped me, but did you kill her too?"
Reynolds jumped forward and Patton grabbed him, "Hold it there, too many people." The commander, Cragen, and Olivia watched carefully from the inside of the van. They were getting everything. Patton grabbed Amanda's arm, "Yeah we raped her, she got it worse than you. She was a virgin. We ripped her cherry apart." Olivia cringed at his words. The commander shook his head. Cragen knew, "Go for it Amanda."
Amanda smiled, she had them, "You two are idiots. I had a rape kit done. You may have gotten Reese, but I've got you." Reynolds lost it, "We don't give a fuck what you have. We will come to New York, we will kill you just like we killed her." Patton laughed, that scary laugh, "No, not just like her, worse. We'll rape you again first." The commander said, "Move in and take them now." Amanda smiled and looked at the people from the funeral looking. They were held to the ground in full uniform and carried away.
The next day, the commander informed them, "They pleaded guilty. They didn't really have a choice thanks to you Detective." Back at the hotel Olivia hugged her wife, "I'm so proud of you." Amanda smacked Olivia's ass hard, "Owww!" Amanda giggled, "That felt good." Olivia had to ask, "We're here in Atlanta, do you want to see your family?" Amanda frowned, "You know I can't say anything." Olivia shrugged, "Seeing them, isn't saying anything."
Before dinner they drove through the expensive neighborhood and parked close to the address Amanda looked up a long time ago. Amanda pointed, "Liv, look!" They saw Kyle and two kids riding bikes. Kyle was easy to pick out. Kyle saw the car and told the kids, "Wait here." He walked closer, "Liv, let's go." He leaned down, "Hi Amanda!" Amanda's face changed, "You know about me?" Kyle smiled, "I do and this wasn't part of our deal." Amanda frowned, "Sorry my wife doesn't listen."
He smiled and extended his hand, "I'm Kyle." Olivia shook it, "I'm Olivia." Amanda was scared, "Don't tell her please." Kyle frowned, "I wouldn't because then I would be telling on myself. I found out about you, well my lawyer did when he was checking on a few things. When she got pregnant with Kolton I saw she had a baby before Kim. I asked about you and I told her she could bring you here. She only said you were her past. She's always been a good mom to them. I sent the lawyer and the money."
Amanda laughed, but Olivia knew that hurt. "Thanks for clearing that up. We have to go." Kyle looked at the kids, "Kim! Kolton! Come here!" He leaned down, "Guys this is my friend Amanda and her wife." Amanda smiled, "I'm Olivia." Amanda waved, "Hi guys." They waved back. Kolton was smart, "You look like us." Kyle smiled, "Amanda, anytime you decide to come, you're welcome. I don't care what she says."
Amanda asked how old are you guys. Kolton answered first, "I'm 9, she's 11 but her birthday is soon. She was born on Halloween. Kim didn't say much, she just looked at her. Amanda smiled, "It was nice meeting you all. We should go." They started walking back to their bikes, when Kim turned back, "Amanda, I know who you are." Amanda looked shocked, "What do you mean?" Kim looked back, "I found a picture of you and I told mom it was me. She grabbed the picture and said it wasn't. I saw your name on the back. You're our sister right?"
Amanda smiled, "You do look a lot like me when I was little." Kyle called, "Come on Kim, let them go." Kim had an idea, "Tell me something, anything, so I can talk to you again." Olivia reached in her purse and handed her a card and winked. "Cell numbers on the back." Kim put it in her pocket and ran to her bike. Olivia smiled, "Gosh is that you or what." Amanda laughed, "She must give Beth a run for her money." The next day, they flew home to be with their family.
Once they were back, it was like a weight was lifted off of Amanda. For Halloween, Melinda and Fin had dibs on ketchup and mustard, so Noah was milk and Jesse was a cookie. Lucy shook her head, "They are going to put you all in a nursing home." Amanda thought about Kim's birthday, but she hadn't heard from her.
As normal they had Thanksgiving dinner with the squad at Cragen's place. And as usual they celebrated her birthday. "Leave the birthday hat on Amanda." Eileen enjoyed Jesse and Noah's company along with Finley and Melody. "If you ever need a sitter, "I'm available." Olivia heard her phone and saw it was FaceTime from an unknown number, "Hello!" Olivia smiled, "Hey! Amanda, look who it is!" Amanda smiled, "Hey Kim! We thought you forgot us. How was your birthday?" Kim smiled, "It was good. After you left I dropped my phone in the sink. So the iPad which I'm on now, I just got instead of for my birthday. Blah blah blah, I needed to learn responsibility. Amanda, it's your birthday?"
Amanda smiled, "Tomorrow, but we always celebrate on Thanksgiving." Kim smiled, "Well happy birthday. Amanda when I get my say, I want you in my life." That made Amanda smile, "Call anytime you can. I won't call you so you don't get in trouble, but I love you ok?" Kim was smart, I put Olivia's number in my phone under an emoji, text me your number and I will put it under another. You can text anytime. It's blocked. Bye love you both." Olivia laughed, "Oh she's all you.
With Christmas came their anniversary. Amanda fell on the bed, "Why did we buy all that stuff, they don't know what's going on?" Olivia laughed, because it's Christmas and that's what people do. Here! Happy anniversary! Amanda opened her box, "You're such a kid." She saw a new Apple Watch and IPhone. Then a necklace with a key. The front had Liv and the back said "You are not a stain." Amanda smiled and bit her lip, "I love it! Here, your turn."
Olivia opened her gift, "I wanted this coat! Oh Amanda!" Olivia cried at the pendent that had a tag and birthstone for Noah and Jesse. "It's beautiful." Amanda giggled, "Keep looking." Olivia looked under the paper and fell out laughing. "It's dual and waterproof." Olivia pulled her into the shower, "Well, let's test this baby out."
