Chapter 10

Olivia opened the door and they were hit with confetti, "Welcome Home!" They smiled at Lucy, Eileen, Melinda, and the entire squad. Olivia and Amanda thanked everyone for pulling lunch together. They had sandwiches, chips, cake, and ice cream. Amanda saw Lucy's suitcase near the door. She grabbed Olivia, "Liv, she needs a spanking." Olivia snatched Lucy in their bedroom. "How many times do we have to go through this? Why is your suitcase packed?"

Lucy stood there twisting her hands, "You have a four bedroom and Kim or Kolton need my room. I talked to one of my friends, I'm not going to a hotel." Amanda shook her head, "You're not leaving. Kolton can sleep in the empty room and we asked Fin to pick up an air bed. Kim will sleep in your room with you, but we already have appointments to look at homes, so it's temporary. You're staying. Are we clear?"

Lucy nodded, "Ok." Lucy was uneasy, "Guys, I'm going to need help. 4 kids is a lot." They both laughed, "We actually already thought about it. Their nanny in Atlanta has a friend that they have met. We're going to hire her to help you, because you are starting school in the fall." Amanda hugged her, "Your family Lucy. We weren't going to forget about you."

Olivia walked into their bedroom and saw Amanda laying on the bed with her arm over her eyes. She closed and locked the door. Then she went to the closet. She took off everything and pulled on their dual pleasure strap on. She walked to the bed and talked, "Well Noah and Jesse are out cold. Kolton talked Lucy and Kim into a slumber party in his room. They even moved the air bed in there. The flight must have worn them out, because they are out like a light."

Amanda moaned, "Great." She never moved. Olivia pulled her legs to the middle of the bed and put them on her shoulders. "Liv!" She teased Amanda's entrance and smiled, "You don't feel like it?" Amanda finally smiled, "Can we trade? I want you on top riding me." Olivia was happy to oblige, "Ok."

The rest of June was spent getting the kids acclimated to everyone and everything. Dani Beck joined Lucy to be the primary nanny. It gave Lucy a chance to breathe and be a kid. Lucy became more of a backup and extra help. They also put down an offer on a house. It had enough bedrooms for everyone. Dani moved in and Lucy still lived with them. Kim and Kolton had their own rooms. Noah and Jesse still shared a room, but they had an empty room, when they were ready to split them up.

In August Noah turned two. Kolton followed him turning 10 at the beginning of September. Then Jesse at the end of September. "Liv, two September birthdays they are killing me." Olivia smiled, "Well don't forget your teenager on Halloween." Amanda covered her face, "Oh gosh." In between the birthdays they had everyone enrolled in school. Kolton was in 5th, Kim was in 7th, and they even had Noah and Jesse in a preschool two days a week.

Olivia and Amanda were working hard to balance work and the kids but they did it. They were celebrating Fin's appointment to Sergeant and Amanda for passing the Sergeant's exam and Olivia for passing the Lieutenant's exam. Cragen stopped the party with a toast. "Fin for guy who probably shouldn't have been a SVU detective, you've been the best. Amanda, I knew you were special the moment I met you and I was never sorry for bringing you up from Atlanta. Liv, you've been my rockstar from the beginning and that's why I'm leaving you in charge of this bunch."

Everyone turned, "Wait Cap!" Cragen smiled, "This is my call. I'm leaving. Eileen has 2 tickets for a cruise and I have enough leave time to make it happen. If I stay, I make less than if I leave. I'm proud of my time here and I'm honored and grateful to work with all of you. Oh and Thanksgiving is still at my place, every year. Keep them straight Liv!"

Amanda entered Olivia's new office, "Everyone's gone. I'm proud of you." Olivia smiled, "Thanks. I wouldn't be here without you." Amanda shrugged, "We're ok still right?" Olivia looked confused, "Liv, you're going to be Lieutenant and in charge. Should I transfer? I mean I can make things easy and go to foren…" Olivia kissed her to stop her babbling. "You don't need to go anywhere. We're good."

Olivia's first case as boss was a tough one. A bike messenger went on a killing spree and left video messages before and after every kill. Olivia grabbed her coat, "Guys, let's roll. Holden's in the high school holding kids hostage. Nick and Amanda searched the school and walked right into the room he's in. "Drop it or I will kill them right here." Amanda and Nick held up their hands. "Cuff him to that desk, now." After cuffing Nick to the desk, Amanda was talking to him and keeping him calm. Olivia called, "Do not shoot. Rollins has full control."

Amanda moved closer and he was about to give up the weapon, when a sniper took him out. Blood splattered all over Amanda's face. "I had him. Why?" Olivia hung her head when Nick helped a shocked Amanda out of the building. Olivia looked at her blood covered face and immediately gave Nick orders, "Get her to the hospital and cleaned up." Olivia wrapped up the case and went to the hospital, "She's good and clear to go." Amanda smiled a small smile, "Hey." Olivia kissed her, "Are you ok?" Amanda nodded and changed her shirt that Olivia gave her, "No, but I will be when I see my babies. Let's go home."

Halloween was quite different with a birthday girl in the house. Noah was bacon and Jesse was eggs. Kolton played along and was toast. Kim wasn't having any part of that, she was Harley Quinn. Dani and Lucy took the younger kids trick or treating and Kim had a birthday party with her friends. Olivia watched the kids dance, eat candy, and treats. "Liv, are we ready for a teenager?" Olivia laughed, "We better be."

With one holiday down and two left everything was going well. As normal, Thanksgiving was spent at Cragen's house. They sang Happy birthday to Amanda and showered her with gifts. Amanda and Olivia spent Christmas Eve and their anniversary the way they always did. Christmas was different for Kim and Kolton. The family stayed in New York for the first part and then everyone flew to Atlanta. They visited old friends and enjoyed the rest of their winter break. They decided to come back in time to see the ball drop. Kim and Kolton loved it.

Olivia and Amanda were slammed with work the entire two months after the holidays. In March they got away to celebrate Olivia's birthday adult style. They were having dinner in comfy white robes after they had the most amazing shower sex. "Liv, remember the AJ Martin case?" Olivia sipped her wine, "Yeah, why are we discussing that?" Amanda shrugged, "She called me last week. She wanted to thank you, but she was too embarrassed to face you." Olivia smiled. "She needed time, but said you were right. She was living a lie. Her son is happier and so is she." Olivia nodded, "I'm glad to hear it." Amanda agreed, "We see a lot of bad stuff, but it's times like this that make me think it's worth it." Amanda smirked, "Are you ready for round 2."

When they got home, they heard screaming. They walked in to Noah and Jesse crying. Kim was holding Jesse and Lucy was holding Noah. Dani was trying to calm Kolton. "What's going on?" Everyone calmed down at Olivia's voice. Dani handed Kolton the towel, "Push down hard." Amanda cleared the room, "Ok the 911 is over. You two take them out."

Dani pulled them to the side, "They were playing and running even after I said stop. Kolton hit his leg on the edge of the table. He cut it, but when I asked to see it, he flipped." This was the second time they had seen this with his leg or someone touching it. "I'm really sorry." Amanda smiled, "We've got him. Thanks Dani." Amanda looked at Olivia, "We need to know what happened. This is not normal Liv."

Olivia scooped him up to make him laugh and they took him to the bedroom. Kolton was easy going. She cradled him, "You're really big." Olivia asked him, "Does it hurt?" Kolton nodded, "Yeah, it's bleeding." Amanda knelt down, "Kolton, we won't hurt you. You know that right?" Kolton nodded, "Yeah, but can I leave my boxers on?" Olivia looked at Amanda and they both knew. "Yes Kolton. We wouldn't ask you to do that. Let me and Liv look and then we need to talk."

Kolton pulled off his jeans and it was a cut, "This might sting." Kolton shut his eyes, "Ahhhh!" Olivia held it and when it stopped bleeding she bandaged it up. Kolton put on a new pair of pants and they sat on the couch, "Ok Kolton we want the truth." Amanda asked, "Has anyone ever touched you and you didn't want them to?" Kolton bit his lip, "Yeah." Olivia asked next, "Who?" Kolton sighed, "Courtney." Amanda shook her head, "Hunter's girlfriend?" Kolton nodded.

Olivia continued, "Kolton, listen to me. No one has the right to touch you ever and if someone does you tell them not to. Then you always tell us." Amanda thought this was bad, "If you're hurt like today, we might have to, but we won't hurt you." Kolton started crying, "I know, I'm sorry. Did I hurt Dani's feelings?" Olivia wiped his tears, "I think she's ok. But it's ok you have to do what makes you feel comfortable." Amanda wanted him to tell, "Do you want to tell us what she did?"

Kolton nodded, "She used to watch us all the time, because our nanny broke her leg. She followed me in the bathroom and said to take my bath, but she just stood there. I told her to get out, I was big enough. She left, but came back. I…I did something bad." Amanda held him, "What did you do?" Kolton rubbed his face, "I told her get the hell out. She grabbed my hair and yanked me up and spanked me. She grabbed soap and put it in my mouth and then…" Kolton looked up.

Olivia asked, "Do you want to finish telling us?" Kolton took a deep breath and finished, "She rubbed soap on my legs and my you know. Then she pulled on it. I don't know why, but I didn't like it." Amanda closed her eyes, "Did she do that more than once?" Kolton shook his head, "No, because I told Kim." They held him and loved him and explained what Courtney did was wrong. They also tried to assure him that the people around him weren't going to hurt him, but to always tell.

Kim was next. "Kolton are you ok?" Kolton smiled, "Just a cut. I'm sorry Dani, I won't do that again." She hugged him, "I'm just glad you're ok." He kissed Noah and Jesse. "Kim, come talk to us." Kim walked slowly and dragged her feet. It was like she knew the secret was out. "Yes Liv and Amanda?"

Olivia didn't beat around the bush, "Kolton told us what happened to him and that he told you and it never happened again." Kim nodded, "Yes ma'am." Olivia was very concerned, "What did you do Kim, because it wasn't tell your parents. They didn't know." Kim looked down, "I was going to tell my mom, but when I went to find her…" Kim stopped. Olivia pulled her in her lap, "It's ok. You aren't in trouble, but we need to know what happened. You need to talk to someone." Kim shook her head, "Please, I don't want to. If I tell you or want to talk, can I just talk to you?" Amanda nodded, "Yes, but talk."

Kim continued, "I went to tell my mom and Hunter was yelling at her. He had her hands around her neck. He said she was a slut that lied and left her first kid." She looked at Amanda. "That's when I realized the picture I thought was me was you." Amanda nodded, "That's why you knew who I was." Kim nodded, "He hurt her. I could see in the mirror he pushed her on the bed and had sex." Amanda stopped her, "Baby, she didn't want that." Kim nodded, "I know, so I told Courtney off myself. I thought everything was ok."

Olivia tilted her chin up, "What happened?" Kim shook her head, "I don't know what she told him, but he was waiting for me when I got off the bus. He pulled me in the pool house and said I better not fuck up his good thing and turn his best friend against him. He turned me around and pulled down my pants and spanked me with his belt. I was too scared to cry, but it hurt so bad." Olivia comforted her, "You know that was wrong right?" Kim nodded, "He turned me around and I didn't know what he meant back then, but I do now."

Amanda asked, "What did he say?" Kim looked at both of them, "I know what you do. If he wasn't dead, you would arrest him." Amanda sighed, "Or ki…" Olivia hit her, "Amanda!" Kim giggled, "He said I was lucky I didn't have grass on the playing field." Olivia and Amanda talked to Kim and she didn't want to, but she listened to them. They wanted them to talk to a counselor.

Olivia had enough connections, so they went to see Lisa Abernathy before school. They came out happier than they went in, so that was a good sign. Lisa smiled, "I'm going to talk to your moms ok?" Kolton and Kim looked at each other. They always called them Amanda and Liv. They sat with Lisa, "Despite everything, they are well adjusted kids. They are sad they lost their parents, but you two stepped in quickly and picked up the pieces. Kim has known about you Amanda for a while and I think she was upset with your mom for not allowing you to know her. The sexual abuse wasn't as damaging as it could have been. I think Kolton needed reassurance and he got that from you two." Olivia wanted to be sure, "They don't need weekly or monthly sessions?" Lisa didn't think so, "No, but if you or the school see anything different, let me know."

They climbed in the truck and Olivia tilted the mirror, "How about we let you skip school, grab lunch, and you two can hang out at the squad." Kolton was excited, "Can we be detectives?" Kim laughed. Amanda turned, "Yep!" Kim asked, "Dr. Abernathy said you were our moms." Olivia smiled, "Yeah, well we did adopt you, she probably doesn't know." Kim shook her head, "Can you be our moms. I mean Noah and Jesse call you mom and mama. Can we call you that?" Amanda smiled at Olivia, "Yeah, we would love that." Kolton smiled, "I like it. I miss mommy and daddy, but I love y'all." Kim smiled, "Same." Amanda turned to them, "I'm glad you do, because you are not a stain." Kolton scrunched up his nose, "A stain? Olivia laughed before Amanda started explaining, "Yeah, you know how sometimes you can spill ketchup on your shirt…"

Epilogue

Olivia and Amanda sat in the skybox of Yankee Stadium. They held hands and watched quietly. They were the only quiet ones though. Lucy yelled, "Come on kid! Bring them home!" Her husband, Trever Langan held their little boy on his knees and bounced him. They're older daughter had her face pressed against the glass. Olivia was against their relationship at first, she was protective of Lucy and she thought the age gap was too much, but he was a great guy with excellent intentions.

Kim held onto her husband's arm, "Dominick, I can't watch. What if he strikes out?" Dominick Carisi was a smooth talker and a charmer, but he was definitely good enough for her. "It's ok baby, he's got this. Calm down so the baby is calm." Dominick rubbed her stomach. Kim was due in July with baby number 2. She was a good mom, "Olivia Grace, no more soda." Her daughter smiled, "Yes mommy." Kim laughed with Lucy, they ended up being best friends. "Luce, I'm nervous."

Jesse sat crossing her fingers with Melody and Finley. They were not only best friends, but Jesse and Finley along with Noah and Melody had been dating since high school. Fin calmed Melody down, "Mel, he's got this!" Olivia laughed thinking about how those two made Fin flip when Noah and Melody eloped at 18. Noah was scared to come home, "Fin, she's not pregnant, I love her. Hey yell at Finley and Jesse they eloped with us."

Olivia giggled to herself. Amanda nudged her, "What are you laughing at?" Olivia pointed at them, "That crew!" Fin and Melinda sat with them laughing, like they didn't turn everyone's world upside down. Amanda laughed with her, "Ohhhh our wild youngsters." Amanda pointed to the field, "Look Liv, big brother teaching little brother." Olivia smiled at both of her boys in Yankee uniforms.

Kolton was on the injured list. He passed the bat to Noah after a nagging shoulder injury. Kolton picked up baseball in 5th grade. He said it made him feel close to his dad. He not only wore Williams across his back, but his dad's number. Noah was just a baby brother, chasing his big brother.

Fin yelled, "Liv! Amanda! They need a shot of that view." Amanda and Olivia looked down and saw Noah holding the bat and standing shoulder to shoulder with his big brother. It was a clear view of the backs of their jerseys Williams and Benson.

Kolton gave Noah a pat on the back and Noah stepped up to the plate. They were down 2 with 2 outs. If it was going to happen, Noah had to do it. "Come on Noah!" Everyone was on the edge of their seats. "Strike 1!" Noah stepped back and dropped his head. Kolton yelled, "Don't hang your head! Get in the box and hit the ball!" Noah gripped the bat and stepped up to the plate and all they heard was a loud crack.

Noah hit a home run and brought in the winning runs to give the Yankees the title of World Series holder. Everyone yelled, "Yes!" When Noah crossed the plate his team lifted him up. He stayed there until they put him back down. Kolton and Noah hugged and then kissed towards the sky box.

Fin ran over, "Ohhhh we're partying tonight! Captain Benson, are you giving your Lieutenant and Sergeant the day off tomorrow?" Olivia laughed, "Not a chance." Amanda rolled her eyes, Fin, "You knew the answer to that." Amanda kissed Olivia, "We did ok huh?" Olivia nodded, "We did great."
