DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM

"Kyoya-Senpai, what are we going to do about Haruhi and her weird delusion?" the twins asked urgently.

"Let's see what else we can learn about this new personality of hers," Kyoya suggested, "Haruhi, could you try indulging us and telling us about your life as you see it?"

"Fine, I suppose," Haruhi reluctantly agreed, "though it feels tedious going over it. But first some of that instant coffee you all are always going on about." She snapped her fingers, "Tamaki-Senpai, you make it for me. You brew it best anyway."

"Since has she ever bossed the boss around like that?" Kaoru asked.

"Silence!" Tamaki snapped, "if doing this gets Haruhi back to normal, than I'll do it! Now, how do you do it?"

Haruhi looked up at him out of the corner of her eye. "You seriously forget how to in the last half hour?" she asked, "you pride yourself on making the best instant coffee ever."

"I do?" Tamaki said confused, "well I suppose if I were to that would be true. Well let's get started!"

"I better help him," Kyoya muttered, "in the meantime, the rest of you, just be patient with Haruhi and try not to antagonize her until we can figure more out."

"Right," Hikaru, Kaoru and Hunny all promised. Mori nodded his head too. The four all looked back at Haruhi waiting on the sofa in a proper lady stance waiting for her coffee.

"I hope when we get her to talk we can figure out how to help change her back," Hunny said, "I want the real Haru-Chan back."

"Yeah," Mori agreed.

Haruhi had to take a few deep breaths as she did her best to calm down.

"This is too weird! This is just too weird!" she said to herself scared.

Suddenly she felt a hand on her arm and looked up to see the alternate Kyoya smiling at her with a reassurance face.

"Haruhi," he said gently, "why don't you come back and sit down. We'll brew you some instant coffee and help you relax. Then we'll discuss what's troubling you."

"Okay," Haruhi agreed. There didn't seem to be much more she could do at this point. She let Kyoya lead her back to the purple sofa and sat down. Immediately a beautiful tea cup was placed in front of her and the aroma coming from it smelled delicious.

"Mmm, this is really good," Haruhi said as she took a sip.

"Of course it does. Surely you remember how well I can brew instant coffee," Tamaki bragged.

"Wait, you made this Senpai?" Haruhi asked. Tamaki looked distraught that Haruhi was acting surprised by him making coffee.

"Guess she still has no memory of who she is," the twins said.

"I guess not," Haruhi admitted, "since I've never known Senpai to make the instant coffee. I always have to do it."

"You, make coffee?" Hikaru and Kaoru said in disbelief.

"I'll have you know that I am an expert in preparing instant coffee!" Tamaki insisted, "I brew it everyday for both club and for the guests at my family's inn!"

Haruhi nearly spit out her coffee.

"Your family's inn? As in just one?" she asked.

"Uh, yes, we've always had just the one," Tamaki said sheepishly.

Haruhi looked bewildered by his statement.

"Haruhi, why don't you tell what you perceive as reality. Then maybe we can help sort it out," Kyoya suggested.

"Well, alright," Haruhi agreed as she took another sip of her coffee.

"Here you go Haruhi," Kyoya said as he placed a tea cup in front of her.

"Thank you, Kyoya-Senpai," Haruhi said as she took a sip. She immediately spit it out.

"Ugh, what is this filth?!" she asked in disgust.

"Filth?" Tamaki moaned, "I made it just like it says."

"Senpai, normally you're a master at making instant coffee. You're always telling me how you make it each morning for your guests at your family's inn," Haruhi said as she studied the cup of coffee in front of her with a questionable look.

"I do?" Tamaki said.

"Yes, it's one of the biggest promotion at your inn," Haruhi said, "your grandmother and mother both swear by it."

"They do?" Tamaki said in surprised, "wait are you talking about my paternal grandmother and mother?"

"Well yes, they're the ones mostly running it," said Haruhi, "you're always saying how much your grandmother adors and loves your mother."

"I, uh, what?" Tamaki said.

"Alright, one thing at a time," Kyoay spoke up, "Let's start with your back story. Please indulge us, Haruhi."

"Oh very well," Haruhi said. She put down her cup and made an effort to push it away from her. "Well were should I start? I'm Haruhi Fujioka, and I'm the daughter of Ryoji Fujioka, one of the greatest and beautiful actors in the world. My mother was Kotoko Fujioka and she was a prestigious lawyer before her sad death."

"Oh, so your mother's still dead?" Hunny asked sadly.

"Yes," Haruhi said softly, "and shortly after she died, father retired from his acting career and founded the elite, sophisticated and advanced academy, naming it Kototo Academy, after my dear mother. And even though it's mostly common for children of the rich community to attend, father wanted to try and make accessible for children from more commoner families to attend. That's why you are all here. You're all some of my father's scholarship students."

"We're suppose to be the scholarship students?" Hikaru and Kaoru said. Both had to do their best to keep from laughing out loud.

"Why is that so hard to believe?" Haruhi asked sternly.

"Well this might surprise you," Kyoya started to say, "But...,"

Haruhi had to a few more sips of her coffee as the boys told her, her alleged life story, about her father being an overly talented actor and now the chairman of the apparent fancy academy. Although she suppose if her dad were to found a school like that, he would name it after her mother.

"It's hard to imagine Chairman Ranka being a simple tranny working at a tranny bar," Hikaru and Kaoru said.

"Or Haru-Chan being a regular commoner," said Hunny.

"Yeah well, that's the kind of life I remember having. I don't have any memories of what you just told me about my alleged life," Haruhi said, "and that includes me remembering you guys all being from rich families yourselves."

"Us? From rich families?" Kaoru said.

"Almost sound like you're mocking us saying that," said Hikaru.

"Well, that's what I remember!" Haruhi said, "what kind of families do you guys come from then?"

"We're actually all from more blue collar-commoner families," Kyoya explained.

"You are?" Haruhi asked sounding bewildered.

"Yes, I myself come from a family that owns a simple medical clinic," Kyoya said.

"Just one medical clinic?" Haruhi said.

"Yes, it's simple but it means a lot to many people within our neighborhood," Kyoya said.

"Well then how did you get to attend Ouran, err, I mean Kotoko, I guess," Haruhi asked.

"Oh that's simple, I scored highest on nearly all my final exams in middle school that the school took noticed and offered me a scholarship," Kyoya said with pride.

'I could see Kyoya-Senpai pulling that off,' Haruhi thought.

"We got recruited here, ourselves too, by our martial art skills," Hunny said happily.

"You did?" Haruhi asked.

"Yep! Takashi and I both live and help run the two dojos our families own," Hunny explained.

"Just one dojo each?" Haruhi asked.

"Yep! My family's specializes in karate while Takashi's does kendo. We were both so good that they recruited us to be on the school's karate and judo teams!" Hunny said.

'I could see that happening with them as well,' Haruhi thought. She turned and looked at the twins.

"So what were you recruited for?" she asked.

"Nothing at first," Kaoru explained.

"We were given scholarship as a favor to our mom," Hikaru finished.

"Your mom?" Haruhi said.

"She owns a simple boutique that your dad discovered and liked a lot of her clothes," Hikaru continued.

"So he offered us a scholarship as a way of saying thank you for the outfits he's gotten from her," Kaoru concluded.

"I see," Haruhi said.

'That does sound like something dad might do,' she thought.

Then at last she looked to Tamaki.

"And you?" she asked.

"I was given a scholarship for my natural talent," Tamaki boasted. "Since my mother and grandmother do most of the work at the inn, it gave my father some free time. So he turned the empty warehouse next to our inn into a small amateur theater. There he can perform several different plays of his own. And, naturally, he casts me, his beloved son in several of them, often as the lead. Your father saw a video of one of my performances and immediately offered me a scholarship in the field of drama! To help home my skills so to speak."

"He's practically your father's protege," the twins muttered.

"Really?" Haruhi said in shock, knowing full well how much her dad disliked Tamaki normally.

"Yes, he comes to nearly all my acting classes personally and has even invited me to your lavish mansion for private practice," Tamaki bragged.

"Seriously?" Haruhi said. She took another sip of her coffee.

"So then, how I do sort of factor in with all of you?"

"Well, that's an interesting story too," Tamaki said, "You see, after I started attending Kotoko Academy, I decided to seek out some of my fellow scholarship students. And in doing so, I discovered Kyoya, Hunny and Mori-Senpai, and Hikaru and Kaoru. I felt an instant connection to all of them, sort of like we were kindred spirits. So much in fact, that I felt we should do something together. And so, we all formed the Kotoko High School Host Club."

"Wow, that's, interesting," Haruhi said.

"He's exaggerating the whole kindred spirits bit though," Hikaru and Kaoru said.

Tamaki groaned mad at their comment, but still continued.

"Anyway! Soon after you heard about our club and came to see it for yourself."

"At first we thought you were coming to try and mock us about it," Hikaru said.

"Yeah, you're kind of known for poking fun at the scholarship students," Kaoru added.

"I am?" Haruhi asked in surprised.

"We know you don't mean any harm by it Haru-Chan," Hunny quickly insisted, "It's a little playful banter. You take from other students just as easily."

"I do?" Haruhi said in surprised.

"Yeah, you always have this cute smile when somebody teases you. As though you're being seeing as a regular person instead of the daughter of one of the most powerful men in the world," Tamaki said.

"Oh," Haruhi said softly, "well I can see why you'd assume that I came to tease you."

"Well, even if that was your intent, you quickly changed your mind when you came to the club," Kyoya said, "you were intrigued by and thought it was a good thing for the school. So you made us an offer. If we agreed to let you design the room to your liking and was allowed to choose the cos. play day periodically, you'd help fund everything for our club, no matter the cost."

"I did all that?" Haruhi asked in shock.

"Yes, and you've been a big a help and not too demanding with your partnership. The most you did was with the room design when you insisted in the purple furniture and floor since it was your mother's favorite color," Tamaki told her.

"Oh," Haruhi said as she looked back at the sofa she was sitting on. "And I've been helping with like the food budget and cos play budget?"

"I try and managed the bills, you merely help cover the cost," Kyoya said.

"Right," Haruhi said as she took another sip. It was still a bit hard to really believe it was all true.

"So did we have a cos play day, today?"

"Yes, one of your suggestions actually," Kyoya said, "Royalty day."

Haruhi nearly choked on her tea.

"You did Royalty Day too?" she asked surprised.

"Yes, that's how you came to be knocked out," Kyoya explained, "you had found a scepter at your manner house and it inspired you to suggest royalty day. Then later on, you happen to noticed some weird symbols and asked me about them. Both Tamaki and the twins wanted to get a closer look, which caused them to fight over it. You attempted to intervene and was stuck on the head during the scuffle."

"I was?" Haruhi said. That sounded like the closest thing to what she remembered.

"Where is the scepter?"

"Over next to my laptop where I was trying to examine it before your were hurt," Kyoya said.

Haruhi hurried over to it was surprised that it too was different. Instead of being a red diamond with a gold handle, it was blue with a white handle. However, it still had its symbols and inscription on the handle.

"This is what hit me?" she asked.

"Does that mean something Haruhi?" Tamaki asked eagerly.

"Well, from what I remember as well reality, I was hit by a scepter too, but it was a different color," Haruhi explained.

"Hmm," Kyoya said as he took the scepter and examined it. "I wasn't able to do too much research on it before you were injured. However, if you allow me, I can take it home and examine it some more."

"Yeah, sure, that's fine," Haruhi allowed, "if it'll help maybe with getting things back to normal!"

"Sure, I'll see what I can do," Kyoya promised.

"Thank you," Haruhi said. She supposed that was the best they could do for now.

"Oh Haruhi, are you ready to go home dear?" she suddenly heard what sounded like her father ring out.

She followed the voice to the doors of the room where she saw her dad standing. Ranka was dressed in an elegant pantsuit, with a purple scarf wrapped around his neck and a pair of fancy looking pink sunglass on top of his head. He also had a black fan he was using to fan himself with.

"Good afternoon Chairman Ranka," the six boys all said together as they bowed their heads.

"Good afternoon boys," Ranak said kindly as he walked further in, "Haruhi, are we giving your little commoner friends a ride home again?"

"Uh, sure?" Haruhi said.

"Oh very good!" Ranka said, "well let's be going boys. Oh and Suoh, we can discuss more about what I was telling you about your performance in Othello."

"Yes Chairman Ranka, I look forward to it," Tamaki said as he and the others started to gather up their different items.

"What about our mess?" Hunny asked.

"I'm sure we can tend to it tomorrow," Kyoya said, casting a glance at Haruhi.

"Of course," Haruhi quickly agreed.

"Haruhi, are you alright? You sound a little off," Ranka asked.

"Royalty day was just a little too excited for her is all," Kyoya quickly said.

"Oh, that again," Ranka said, "you do that too often Haruhi."

"Yeah, sure dad," Haruhi said as she followed her father and friends out of the room.

"Kyoya-Senpai, am I going to be ok being with my dad in my state? What if he gets worried or suspicious?" Haruhi whispered.

"Just simply say you got over excited by cos play and are tired. He'll believe it, trust me," Kyoya whispered back.

"Okay, thanks," Haruhi said. "I just hope that we can get this all straightened out in time."

"Don't worry, we will," Kyoya promised.

"You honesty expect me to believe that I'm a commoner and that you all come from rich families?" Haruhi asked in annoyance.

"Well that is the basic jiff," Kyoya said.

"I don't believe it!" Haruhi declared, "this is all some strange crule delusion I'm having after being hit on the head by that scepter by you three!" She glared at Tamaki and the twins. The three quickly backed away in fear.

"You say you were hit on the head by a scepter as well?" Kyoya asked.

"Yes, that one I brought for Royalty day," Haruhi said.

Kyoya quickly hurried over to where the scepter was laying next to his laptop and brought it over.

"Was this the one?" he asked.

"Yes, kind of," Haruhi said, "Only mine had a blue diamond and white handle. But the symbols on it and the inscription look the same."

"Hmm, interesting," Kyoya said, "I wasn't able to help to do much research on it. However, I'll probably be able to do it tonight."

"Do it then! If only to help get things straighten out and Haruhi back!" Tamaki ordered.

"Or get you guys back," Haruhi said.

"I'll do what I can, whatever the circumstances may be," Kyoya promised.

"Thank you Kyoya-Senpai," Haruhi said, "now then, do I at least have a car to help take me home?"

"Uh, no, you usually take the bus," Hikaru said.

"Ewe, that sounds unsanitary," Haruhi declared.

"We'll help take you home Haruhi, don't worry," Tamaki assured her.

"She probably wouldn't even know where her home is in her state," Kaoru said.

"I hope it's not too terrible," Haruhi said as she stood, straightening herself out. "Well let's be going then. All this, this, whatever this is is has wore me out!"

"Yes, it is getting late," Kyoya agreed

"I hope I can pull off acting normal without arousing suspicion and concern from my father. I don't want him to worry and or have me locked up."

"Well, usually he works late so, you're often by yourself at night," Kyoya told her.

"I am? Oh, but what about Misuzu?" Haruhi asked, "what I remember, he lives at the mannor with dad and me and and he and dad are friends with privileges, if you catch my drift."

"Oh wow," the twins said.

"Well I'm afraid Misuzu lives on his own and he and your father are just regular friends," Kyoya explained.

"Oh, well, at least he and dad are still friends at least," said Haruhi.

"What are we going to do about this mess?" Hunny asked looking at some of the props still scattered about.

"I'm sure we can tend to it tomorrow, given the circumstances," Tamaki suggested casually as they led Haruhi out.

Soon all the hosts were out and driving Haruhi home.

Haruhi tried looking out at the common neighborhoods they past as they near her home.

"I will say this, at least all these neighborhoods look nice and quaint, much like the ones you all come from," she said softly.

"Do you visit our commoner homes often?" Tamaki asked.

"I wouldn't say visit, but Father and I are usually kind enough to at least drive you all home after club. Especially you Senpai," Haruhi said.

"Really?" Tamaki asked.

"Of course, dad will take any chance he can to tutor you. You're his prized pupil after all," Haruhi said.

"Really?" Tamaki said with excitement.

"That's so hard to believe," Hikaru said.

"Yeah considering Ranka wants to Kill The Boss almost every time he sees him," said Kaoru.

Haruhi looked at Tamaki with concern.

"Does he really?" she asked.

"It's uh complicated," Tamaki sputtered.

"Oh, we're here Haruhi," Kyoya mentioned as the car came to a stop. Haruhi slowly climbed out of the car and looked up at her apartment complex.

"Well, doesn't look too bad, at least it has a few rooms," she said.

"Actually, your home is only one of the rooms here," Kyoya told her.

"Huh?" Haruhi said in shock.

"Haruhi, is that you?"

Haruhi and the hosts all looked to where the voice was coming from and saw Ranak fast approaching.

"That's my father?" Haruhi said in surprised, "he looks so, so, common."

"Oh hello my beautiful daughter!" Ranka said happily as he embraced her.

"You smell like beer," Haruhi mentioned.

"Oh right, well, a gentleman had rented the bar his friend's bachelor party and I may have joined in a little on some of the festivities," Ranka confessed.

"Oh dad,' Haruhi moaned.

"Well they invited all of us to join in," Ranka tried to defend himself.

"Sure dad," Haruhi moaned.

"Are you alright Haruhi? You sound a little off," Ranka asked looking Haruhi over with concern."

"I'm just a little worn out from today's cos play father. It was Royalty day and all," Haruhi said calmly before any of the host could react.

"Oh really?" Ranka asked, "they didn't wear you out too much did they? Suoh?!"

Tamaki looked panicked. "Oh, nothing too serious! I assure you Ranka."

Ranka glared at him. "I don't care if she's indebted to you! You overwork my daughter and I'll wear you out with my fist!"

"Father!" Haruhi quickly said as she gently grabbed her Ranka's arm. "Please Father, you're clearly under the influence of alcohol and it's cold out here. Let us not see you waste your time and energy avenging me and just go inside, shall we?"

"Haruhi?" Ranka said stunned, "well, I suppose...,"

"Very good, now then," Haruhi said as she led her father away. She looked back and winked at the hosts.

"Wow that was some pretty smooth acting on Haruhi's part," said Hikaru.

"Yeah, normally she'd just walk off annoyed and both her dad and the boss would chase after her," said Kaoru.

"Yes, she has a unique personality to her," said Kyoya.

"But I still want our Haru-Chan back!" Hunny declared.

"Yes, yes, don't worry, I'll study the scepter and see if it holds any unique information that might be of use," Kyoya said?

"Right," Tamaki said as he looked up towards Haruhi and Ranka going into their apartment. "Good night Haruhi, whoever and wherever you are."
