Prompt: One shot where Elijah and Klaus get a public spanking with the kids seeing them get punished and them having to spank them as well.
Too much ale and a man's heart is laid open for all to see. ~The Saga of Olaf Haraldsson, c.151
Klaus couldn't stop laughing. "I thought you gave this Porsche to Kol? It's bloody fast." The brothers were driving home from an impromptu night at the Mystic Grill with Alaric and Damon. The guys wanted to give them a small post-wedding bachelor's party. More alcohol was consumed than expected and even Elijah was pretty buzzed.
"I did give it to Kol. I did ask him if I could borrow it, you know. I am not a total asshole," Elijah defended.
"Some might wish to disagree with that statement, Brother," Klaus exclaimed as he opened the window and stuck his head out.
"Niklaus, what the hell are you doing? You are going to fall out. And who thinks I'm an asshole?" Elijah pressed, turning down the music that Klaus had just blasted.
"Um, some of my kids for instance. I mean, the ten o'clock bedtime is a little too strict. Tyler is going to be a father in a few months. Are you going to smack him if he gets up in the night to tend to the babies?" Klaus laughed.
"They are your kids. If you want them up all night fooling around and drinking soda, that's your call. I shall not say another word," Elijah said taking his hands off the steering wheel to put his hand up.
"Don't be like that. But it's just take Penny, for instance, you are always yelling at her for getting toothpaste all over the bathroom. At least she brushes her teeth! I mean you are lucky she's not a hybrid anymore because she was about to bite you last night," Klaus warned.
Elijah shook his head, "You let that girl ride roughshod over you, Brother. You are going to regret it."
"Go ahead and say it...I know you want to," Klaus called out loudly.
"Fine. Just like Marcellus! I told you not to buy him that damn pony. He was a spoiled rotten brat at times," Elijah said stiffly.
"Well, you got him on the pony, didn't you, Elijah?" Klaus scoffed.
"Yes, I did. Things were different then. It was 1831! But he had to learn that a man keeps his word. Do you think I like always being the bad guy? Maybe I will go on strike on just stop,-" Elijah was cut off by slamming on the breaks suddenly. A lone deer was standing in the middle of the road.
The car careened off of the road and hit a broken down fence, "Shit!" Elijah said getting out of the car. The deer ran off unharmed.
"Well, at least you didn't kill Bambi. Jesus, Elijah, Kol's not going to be too happy." Klaus said languidly.
"It's my damn car!" Elijah shouted.
"No, it's Kol's now. You gave it to him. Jesus, how drunk are you? I think I will give him a head's up," Klaus said taking out his cell phone. Elijah vamped over and knocked the phone out of Klaus' hand.
"I don't think so, Niklaus," Elijah said in a menacing voice.
"Do you really want to do this here? We're a mile from home!" Klaus said growling back.
"Do what? Teach you a lesson in manners? I do," Elijah said picking up the broken fence post and hitting Klaus on the back.
"For the noble Elijah, that was a low blow! Let's see how you like this!" Klaus yanked another fence post out of the ground and smashed the windshield of the Porsche.
"You just said it was Kol's car! What the hell is wrong with you?" Elijah said tackling his brother hard.
"I'll buy him a new car. A nicer one!" Klaus roared as he rolled over and pinned Elijah's arms to the road. Elijah kicked up his knees and flipped over.
"Enough, enough. This is folly. We are both drunk. Just admit that I am not an asshole and we will call it a night," Elijah staggered.
"Is that what you are pissed about? Do you want me to lie or...?" Klaus sneered as he jumped on the Porsche and then pounced on Elijah.
"Dammit, Niklaus, that hurt," Elijah complained. "The car is totaled. Let's go. Truce."
"Never!" Klaus roared kicking out Elijah's feet and knocking him to the ground. Elijah bounced up and punched Klaus in the gut hard, knocking the breath out of him. Klaus went to punch them back when they heard Klaus' cell phone ring somewhere in the weeds.
"Your phone! Get it," Elijah grumbled.
"If I could find it...Here it is. Hello, oh Freya. Ah, we were in a little accident...No, it was minor, we are fine. Yes, we will be home soon," Klaus said cheerily. He clicked off the call and frowned.
"Let me see if we can still drive this. All we need now is for a police report to be filed," Elijah commented dryly. The car started and Klaus got in and wiped the glass off the seat. Elijah drove the next mile without a windshield and parked the car within the gates of the Mikaelson Mansion.
Freya came out to the garage to meet them.
"Where the hell have you two been? Jenna said Alaric was home 45 minutes ago!" Freya fumed.
"We almost hit a deer," Elijah said in a low voice.
"Where are Camille and Vanessa?" Klaus said noticing that Cami's car was gone.
"Their girlfriends took them out, too. Keelin, Kol, and I have been babysitting. Kol is sleeping. Elijah Mikaelson, is that bourbon I smell on your breath. Niklaus, my God, you two are plastered!" Freya scolded.
Keelin came into the garage, "Where's the Porsche?" She saw their faces and went out to look.
"Babe, that Porsche is totaled. Guys, are you trashed right now?" Keelin asked pointedly.
"We may have had a little too much to drink," Elijah admitted.
"Is that blood? Did you get in a fight? Why are your clothes all torn up?" Freya said grabbing Klaus and pulling him into the kitchen for a better look.
"We just fought with each other. He tried to impale me with a fence. I actually could use a blood bag," Klaus said reaching into the frig.
"I don't think so," Freya said slapping his hand away.
"What?" Elijah said innocently.
"Don't what me, mister? What did you two do when the boys were driving drunk? Hmm? Or when Tyler and Matt got in that accident? You want to refresh our memory," Freya said sternly.
"I think Matt got grounded and we had the children write a paper about drunk driving...Remember that, Niklaus," Elijah said proudly.
Klaus flushed, "Yes, we also had a serious talk with them."
"Is that all? I seem to remember something a little different..." Freya pressed.
"I might have paddled Tyler and Matt for the accident," Klaus revealed, "But that was for lying!"
"And the drunk driving?" Keelin asked.
Elijah threw up his arms, "Fine, we may have spanked them. What are you two going to do? Paddle us right here in the kitchen! I would like to check on the boys and go to bed if you don't mind."
Keelin looked at Freya, and said, "I don't want to ruin the surprise but didn't Connor make the perfect gift for this occasion?"
Freya smirked, "Why, yes, he did?" Klaus, Elijah, and Keelin heard footsteps.
"Did y'all say my name? I was coming down to get a blood bag," Connor said in confusion.
"Honey, I know you were saving it, but how about you go get that gift you made for your dad? And the one for your Uncle Elijah. Thank you, sweetie," Freya said to Connor.
Connor forgot about the blood bag, his dad and uncle looked disheveled and drunk. He ran upstairs and went into his closet to rummage for the gifts he had made..
"What are you doing? It's the middle of the night," Erik groaned.
"You ain't gonna believe this! I think Aunt Freya is gonna wallop Dad and Uncle Elijah in the kitchen. She wanted me to get the gifts I made and bring 'em down there. I ain't kidding," Connor gushed in shock.
Tyler stirred and rolled over, "Are you shitting me? I have to see this!" He leaned over and woke up Matt.
Connor grinned sheepishly, "Should I wake up Jer?"
"Hell, yeah," Tyler said. Connor kicked Jeremy with his foot and explained the situation. Kai got up and asked what was happening.
Kai wiped the sleep from his eyes, "We have to wake up Uncle Kol!" He went over to his room and knocked but Kol was in the shower. Kai yelled for him to come to the kitchen when he was done.
Connor grabbed the brown paper bag and said, "Let's go."
Connor came down with the other boys milling about casually behind him.
Klaus looked at Elijah waiting for him to send them back to bed. Elijah shrugged.
"It's way past your bedtime, lads," Klaus called out.
Freya took the brown paper bag from Connor, "Oh, I think they should see what happens when men get drunk, wreck a car, and fight like idiots in the road!"
"Sister, please, not in front of them," Klaus begged.
Freya was angrier than anyone had ever seen her, "But you haven't opened your present yet!"
Klaus took the bag and looked at Connor. Connor said, "I made it at vo-tech. Sorry, Dad."
Klaus unwrapped the bag and found a large, heavy fraternity style paddle that said, "Father Knows Best" burned into it. There were also strategic holes drilled into it and the Mikaelson crest on the back.
Klaus laughed despite the situation and hugged him, "Thank you, Son. It's a touch ironic right now, but it is beautiful."
"It started out a cutting board, but I figured you'd get more use out of that," Connor said. "Dad, you do smell like a liquor cabinet, if you don't mind me saying and there is a huge hole in your shirt..."
Elijah opened his gift and found his paddle said, "Uncle Enforcer" on it. He chuckled and also hugged Connor. His paddle was smaller and lighter.
"That could double as a cutting board since you do a lot of cutting around here. It has names and dates on the back," Connor informed them. Both brothers teared up to see their wedding dates and the names of all the children burned on the back.
"So let's try this out. I am going to do a quick anti-healing spell," Freya said as she took both paddles and spoke some words over them.
"Sister, you truly cannot mean to do this and in front of the children!" Elijah said looking around at the assembled crowd. The teen boys were leaning near the desk by the refrigerator with their arms folded.
"Don't make me do a spell. You know what happens to drunk drivers in this house! You could have killed someone! Now bend over the island," Freya ordered.
Klaus looked at Elijah and leaned over on his elbows.
Elijah was incredulous, "Really? We're just going to do this. Are you serious?"
Freya looked at Keelin and handed her Klaus' paddle. "Can you paddle Niklaus? I am going to take care of Elijah right over here."
"Yes, sure," Keelin said firmly. "Klaus, take off your jacket, please." He did quickly and then got back down on the counter. She then told Klaus to spread his legs more and lined up the blade of the paddle with his backside.
Thwap!
Freya said something and Elijah felt his body grow weak, "I warned you. Now it's going to be worse."
Elijah felt Freya put him over her lap as she sat down on a kitchen chair.
"Sister, this is crazy! So I wrecked the Porsche, it was a mistake!" Elijah vented.
Freya had Erik hand her the smaller paddle that Connor made for Elijah. She gripped it hard and slammed it down across his backside.
"Stop!" Elijah yelped.
The boys assembled were trying not to laugh as they watched their father and uncle get paddled.
Whap! Whap! Whap! Whap!
After three or four whacks, both men were yelling out and breathing hard. The boys were impressed that the Originals were able to take it better than they could, even with their healing turned off. However, they might have still been drunk.
Tyler said in a low voice, "Damn, we are lucky they didn't catch us drinking after last night." The other boys laughed.
Jeremy smirked, "You were drunk. The rest of us were just a little high. No biggie."
Kai shushed them, "It was my first time. Quiet!"
Keelin put down the paddle hard on the counter, "Do you boys realize that I have werewolf hearing? So all of you were drunk or high coming home from that party last night?"
Klaus thought his spanking was over and started to rise, but Keelin pushed him back down roughly.
"Not so fast, you aren't done yet. Three more good ones," Keelin warned. Pop! Pop! Pop!
She swung with two hands and Klaus' was on the verge of breaking. His backside was flaming and his face was equally red after being spanked in front of his nephew and children. He heard gasping and looked over and saw Elijah getting spanked hard and fast over Freya's knee. She was not hitting as hard, but was making up for it in the number of cracks she was giving Elijah. After 15, she stopped and put the paddle on the kitchen table.
"Elijah and Niklaus, you two can stand in the corner with your hands on your head. We will deal with the rest of these boys. Kai, I asked you if there was going to be alcohol at this party, did you lie to us?" Freya said turning to her son.
Before Kai could answer, they heard another person coming down the stairs.
Kol came downstairs, drying his hair from the shower, "I don't believe it. What the hell is going on?"
Keelin answered, "Your brothers wrecked your car, drunk drove and apparently your nephews did, too."
"Unreal! Let me help, Sisters," Kol said doing a double take to see Klaus and Elijah in the corner. He took the school paddle off of the frig.
"Kai, answer me," Freya demanded as she motioned her son to stand near her.
"I'm sorry, Mom," Kai said softly.
"Over my lap, baby," Freya said grabbing his arm and pulling him over. She immediately began to swat him. "You know better. What if something would have happened?"
Keelin bent over Matt and traded paddles with Kol, so Matt got the school paddle while Kol used the magically enhanced board on Tyler. Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
They gave them each five hard swats and sent them to the corner. Keelin swatted Jeremy and Kol paddled Connor. Freya took Erik and put him over her knee, as she had with Elijah and Kai. Erik's hands braced the floor and he felt the paddle tap him once before coming down hard across both cheeks. He felt his whole bottom alit in flames of pain. The stinging was intense and sudden. Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham! Wham! Erik's eyes watered and he felt the wind knocked out of him. Freya was not holding back, but she could not swing fully from the position she was in. She let Erik up and brushed back his hair.
After all the boys got their five whacks, they sent them to face the wall to calm down for a few minutes. There was some sniffling, but no one was full on crying. They had all had worse.
"Okay, boys, turn around please," Freya said.
Keelin started, "You all know how serious this is and to say we are disappointed is an understatement."
Kol chimed in, "I do not even care about the car, that can be replaced, but your lives cannot be."
Klaus and Elijah looked at each other, Elijah said, "I think I can speak for the both of us when I say we are sorry and this will not happen again. We let the celebrations go to our heads and that is never smart. Though I can attest that Connor's 'cutting board' is pretty effective, it is nothing compared to the pain of losing someone or doing something you cannot take back."
Freya went up and hugged both of them tightly, "Guys, it is over. You were punished. Let's do better tomorrow."
Matt quipped, "Well, you don't have to worry about us sitting in the cars to drive, that's for sure."
Connor colored, "I didn't think that paddle would ever get used on me. So much for the funny joke, huh?"
Kol put his arm around him, "What did you get me, mate? Should I even ask?"
"I made you coasters cause Uncle Elijah said you are ruining the coffee table in your room," Connor explained.
"Ah, coasters? Nice. Freya, Keelin, are you done with this lot? It is late and they should go nurse their sore backsides upstairs while they promise to never foul up again," Kol smiled putting his arm around Connor and Jeremy.
Jeremy groaned, "I sweat it, Uncle Kol. No more parties. It's just not worth it."
"Aye, it is not around here, lad. Now, off to bed with you," Kol said lightly. He wondered how his brothers were doing. They knew better than to drunk drive. He wondered if Elijah had car insurance for something like this...
