The Lion Guard: A Date at Wanandoa Oasis

One morning, Kion was getting himself ready. But, for what?

"Today is the day!" Kion said. "It's finally time for me and Jasiri to go on a date."

Meanwhile, at the Outlands…

"Ok, I must get myself prettier than ever."

"What's going on, sis? Madoa asked.

"It will be my first date with Kion. Thus, he must see me as beautiful as I can be."

"But, sis, you are already beautiful! By the way, where are you two going to?"

"We're going to Wanandoa Oasis." Kion said to his friends, back at the Pridelands. "And I'll make sure Jasiri has the time of her life."

"You got it, Kion!" Bunga said.

"Good luck!" Fuli said.

"You'll do great, Kion." Beshte said.

"You better have already bathed." Ono said.

"Excuse me, Kion, but, what are we gonna do in your absence?" Anga asked.

"Don't worry, you've had other leaders besides me. My dad, Jasiri…"

"What about me?" Rani asked, appearing out of nowhere.

They all screamed.

"What are you doing here, Rani?" Kion asked.

"I wanted to come visit you again."

"But how did you get here so fast?" Fuli asked.

"Tree of Life nuts, remember?"

"Ohhh, yeah, I remember!" Bunga said.

"How did you know we were looking for a replacement for Kion?" Anga asked.

"Telepathy."

"Poa! It must be awesome to be a mystic ninja like you and the Night Pride!" Beshte said.

"Sure it is!"

"Maybe we should visit again the Tree of Life sometime."

"Oh, by the way, how's Binga?" Bunga asked.

"Ah, she's doing great. Presuming her qualities, as always."

"And Queen Janna?" Ono asked.

"Happy and kind with everyone, as always!"

"Good." Kion said. "Well, as you heard, or felt, I'm going on a date with Jasiri at Wanandoa Oasis, and I need someone to lead the Lion Guard while I'm gone."

"Wanandoa Oasis? Wow! But, isn't it a little far? Need some of my Tree of Life nuts?"

"No, thanks. I and Jasiri like to walk together. Whenever I'm by her side, I enjoy every walk, no matter how long it is."

"Awww, that is so cute!" Beshte said.

"Besides, Wanandoa Oasis is not too far from here."

"Well, as you wish. Don't worry, Kion. If I can lead the Night Pride without any problems, then I can lead the Lion Guard, too."

"Great, I wish you luck."

"Luck? I don't need it. And I don't need your Roar either. I've got the energy of the Tree of Life, and I know the Night Pride Ninjutsu."

"That's why you are perfect for the job." Kion said, smiling. "Okay, see you tomorrow, guys!"

"Tomorrow? You're gonna spend a whole day there?" Fuli asked.

"Yes. But you don't have to worry. With Rani as your leader, you're gonna be just fine."

"Well, if you say so, Kion." Ono said.

"I wouldn't worry... "Bunga said. "Remember the times we've seen Rani in action? Her ninja skills, her energy balls, her levitation powers… she's totally unbungalievable!"

"Why, thanks." Rani said.

"Well, if Little B thinks everything we'll be all right with Rani leading us, then I agree." Beshte said.

"Me too." Fuli said.

Ono and Anga also agreed. Thus, Kion headed to rendezvous with Jasiri for them to go to Wanandoa Oasis. Turning to her friends, Rani said:

"Ok, everyone. I'll be your leader while Kion is absent. I promise I'll do my best. With strength and respect…"

"Um… We're the Lion Guard, remember?" Anga said.

"Oh, right. Till' the Pridelands end…"

"LION GUARD DEFEND!"

Meanwhile, Kion and Jasiri had gathered, and they were ready to travel to Wanandoa Oasis. They had to leave the Pridelands and walk through a heated desert in order to find the oasis. Suddenly, Jasiri saw something in the distance:

"Kion, I see something. Is it?"

"Hevi kavisa! There it is! Wanandoa Oasis!

Kion and Jasiri arrived to the oasis. There were lots of palm trees, a mini golf camp, a cave, and a pool in the middle. They were greeted by a very friendly and well-mannered butler turtle named Mhudumu.

"Greetings, Messrs." Mhudumu said. "Welcome to Wanandoa Oasis. I hope you enjoy your stay in here. Now, how may I be of service?"

"It sure was a long and hot walk to get here." Kion said. "We could use a beverage right now..."

"How about some taro bubble teas?" Jasiri recommended.

"Great idea, Jasiri!" Kion said. "Two taro bubble teas, please!"

"With whipped cream on top, please!" Jasiri said.

"Fine. Is there something you would like to eat?" Mhudumu asked.

"Oh, how about some nachos with guacamole?" Kion asked. "A big order, just for the two of us."

"Right away, Messrs."

The butler turtle headed to the kitchen in the cave to get the taro bubble teas and nachos for Kion and Jasiri. Meanwhile, both sat under a palm tree and talked.

"So, how has Madoa been?" Kion asked Jasiri.

"Fine, and taking care of our clan."

"And Wema and Tunu?"

"Playful, as always. Sigh, they're growing so fast."

"So are we, Jasiri. It was about time we went on a date."

"Sure it was, Kion."

"I really enjoy every second I spend with you, especially right now."

"I know, my love."

Then, Mhudumu arrived with their meal.

"Two taro bubble teas and a big bowl of nachos with guacamole." Mhudumu said.

"Wow. That sure was quick." Kion said.

"Thank you, Mr. Mhudumu!" Jasiri said.

"At your service, Messrs." Mhudmu said.

Kion and Jasiri began enjoying their meal. After they finished, both were satisfied. Mhudumu then accompanied them to the bedroom they would sleep that night. Kion and Jasiri followed him into the cave and to the bedroom. There was a bed, a table, two couches, a couple of leaf fans and a rock with shiny diamonds which served as a lamp. It wasn't as they expected, but they thought they would get used to it.

"Well, Messrs., I hope you like it here. If you excuse me, I'll get back to work. Have fun together!"

Slowly, the butler turtle left the bedroom.

"He's such a nice fella, isn't he?" Kion said.

"Yeah, so helpful." Jasiri said.

"Well, now let's take his advice and have fun together, shall we? Kion asked.

"Oh, I'd love to!" Jasiri said.

Both began to prance around the room. Repeatedly, they jumped from the bed, to the couches, to the table, then back to the bed.

"I'm the master of parkour!" Kion said.

"No! I am!" Jasiri said.

Exhausted, they laid on the bed and sighed.

"You know, Kion? This place isn't so bad after all." Jasiri said.

"Yeah… we must recommend it to our friends." Kion said.

Both rested for a while. Later, they got off the bed, wondering what to do next. Mhudumu greeted them at the entrance of their room.

"Good afternoon, Messrs." Mhudumu said. "May I suggest you trying our minigolf camp?"

"Oh, sure, Mhudumu!" Jasiri said.

Kion and Jasiri began to play minigolf. The latter turned out to be a very good player!

"Why didn't you tell me before you were so good at this?" Kion asked her.

"We didn't have the chance to play it before." Jasiri answered.

After a while, Mhudumu announced them that the yoga session was about to begin. Kion and Jasiri were eager to try it! Tupp, the jerboa, was the instructor. He stroked different poses, and Kion and Jasiri imitated him. Tupp even taught them the Sun Salutation! When the yoga session ended, Mhudumu said:

"Hope you enjoyed doing yoga, Messrs. I suggest you rest. You're gonna need it for the upcoming activities."

Kion and Jasiri looked at each other, curious of what would Mhudumu mean. So they sat at a table.

"Now, is there anything you would like to eat, Messrs?"

"Sure." Kion said. "How about some chicken wings?"

"Oh, yes, I'd love to!" Jasiri said. "With buffalo sauce!"

Upon hearing this, Kion gasped.

"Jasiri, that sauce is too spicy! Are you sure you wanna eat it?"

Jasiri giggled and said:

"Kion, remember who you're talking with? The bravest hyena in the Outlands! No sauce is gonna stop me!"

"Indeed." Kion said. "Two dishes of buffalo wings, please!"

"Two orders of buffalo wings coming up." Mhudumu said.

And he slowly left the place, heading to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Kion and Jasiri kept talking.

"So, are you having fun?" Kion asked.

"Yes I am, Kion!" Jasiri said. "This is the best date I've ever had!"

"Glad to hear it. But this is just the beginning. Mhudumu said there are still plenty of activities waiting for us."

"Exactly, Messrs." Mhudumu said, showing up. "First of all, your lunch. Two dishes of buffalo wings."

"Wow, thank you, Mr. Mhudumu." Jasiri said.

"Wow, for a turtle, you sure are fast!" Kion said.

"Hehe, enough with the compliments, sir. Bon Appetit."

"Mmmm…" Kion and Jasiri said at the same time.

They began to eat the buffalo wings. They were delicious! However, they happened to be really spicy for both of them. They panted and hissed repeatedly, searching for something to calm the spice. Then, Mhudhumu appeared with a couple glasses of water, which Kion and Jasiri quickly drank.

"Thanks, Mhudumu." Jasiri said.

"How did you know we needed water?" Kion asked.

"A spicy food always requires water to calm the spice. And don't worry, Messrs. It's free, since I like you."

"Awww… thank you!" Jasiri said.

When Kion and Jasiri finished their lunch, Mhudumu guided them to their next activity… the pool!

"Hevi kavisa!" Kion said. "Ready for a dive, Jasiri?"

"I'm ready when you are!"

The two lovers dived into the pool and started swimming playfully.

"Hey, Jasiri, how about a race round the pool?"

"You're on!"

"Ready… set…"

"GO!" both shouted at the same time.

They swam swiftly around the pool, trying to overtake each other. In the end, Jasiri won the race!

"Wow, Jasiri! You're almost as fast as Fuli!"

"Aw, thank you!"

Next, they got out of the water and Mhudumu handed them a couple towels for them to dry off.

"So much fun, wasn't it, Messrs.?"

"You bet, Mhudumu!" Kion said.

"You got one activity left for the day, Messrs."

"Really? What is it?"

Mhudumu guided them to their last activity: a dance floor! Kion and Jasiri had the time of their lives doing their favorite dance moves, plus some new moves! In the end, they hugged each other while nuzzling. Mhudumu clapped.

"You sure got the moves, Messrs." Mhudumu said. "Now, I suggest you to go to sleep. There's no doubt you had such a tiresome day!"

Kion and Jasiri headed to their bedroom with a big smile on their faces. Once they were in bed, they talked about the great experience they had:

"Oh, Kion!" Jasiri said. "I've never had so much fun in my life!"

"I know, Jasiri." Kion said. "And I can give you more!"

"More? What are you talking about?"

"I can give you a life full of joy, pleasure and fun."

"Really?"

"All you have to do is say yes."

"You mean…?"

Kion reached under the pillow and pulled out a nutshell… with a ring inside!

"Jasiri, will you marry me?"

Jasiri squealed like crazy and jumped on the bed repeatedly.

"Oh, yes, Kion! Yes, I do, I do, I DO!"

"Fantastic! But for now, let's sleep."

Kion and Jasiri fell asleep. Next morning, they prepared to leave Wanandoa Oasis. On their way out, Jasiri noticed a doorway that led to the kitchen. There, she noticed hundreds of sandfish working!

"So that's why Mhudumu prepared everything so fast!" Jasiri said.

"Looks like you discovered our little secret, Miss." Mhudumu said. "But don't tell anybody, ok?"

"You got it, Mhudhumu!" Kion said.

Once they were at the exit of Wanandoa Oasis, Kion and Jasiri said goodbye to Mhudumu.

"Bye, Mr. Mhudumu!" Jasiri said. "Thank you for everything!"

"Have a nice trip, Messrs." Mhudumu said. "And don't forget to rate Wanandoa Oasis 5 star fruits!"

"Don't worry, Mhudumu." Kion said. "We'll be sure to recommend it to our friends."

And so, Kion and Jasiri travelled back to the Pridelands. When they arrived, they were greeted by Bunga, Fuli, Ono, Beshte, Anga and Rani.

"Hi, Kion! Hi, Jasiri!" Rani said.

"Hello, friends!" Kion said.

"So, how was Wanandoa Oasis?" Ono asked.

"It was lovely!" Jasiri said. "The service is excellent. A nice, friendly butler turtle named Mhudumu attended us."

"And how was the food?" Bunga asked.

"Scrumptious! They have all kinds of food, such as nachos with guacamole, taro bubble teas and buffalo wings!"

"Mmm. I'd love to try it!" Fuli said.

"And what activities did you do?" Anga asked.

"Plenty! We played golf, did yoga, swam in a pool and danced on a dance floor!"

"Poa!" Beshte said. "It sure sounds like a great place to go!"

"It is!" Kion said. "We highly recommend you to go."

"I think I know who I can go with…" Beshte said, looking at Fuli.

"Wait, what?" Fuli said.

"Nothing!"

"And what did you do while we were absent?" Kion asked.

"It's a long story." Bunga said. "I think we'll leave it for another day."

"Ok, if you say so, Bunga." Kion said.

Everyone laughed.

"Oh, but you haven't heard the best part yet!" Jasiri said. "I and Kion… are getting married!"

"WHAT?!" all of their friends said.

"Just like you heard it." Kion said. "In a few days, I and Jasiri will marry each other."

Kion's friends stood speechless for a second, but then, they cheered.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it!" Anga said.

"Congratulations!" Fuli said.

"Good for you, Kion!" Ono said.

"That's my Kion!" Bunga said.

"Long live the couple!" Rani said.

"We'll be a very happy couple, ain't that right, Kion?"

"Yes, Jasiri." Kion said. "I love you."

Both kissed. A great future awaited them.
