Benny had always been made fun of because of his nose, and his ears. It really pissed him off; that's why he acted so mean all the time.

That's why, when he saw Chloe crying down on the beach, he decided to see if he could help.

Her helmet was off, revealing pretty blue eyes and soft dark brown hair that fell to her shoulders. Had it not been for the helmet she was holding, Benny wouldn't have recognized her at all. But those pretty blue eyes were also crying. So he marched down there to her and suddenly found himself tongue-tied.

"Hi," he said awkwardly.

"Greetings, Earthling," Chloe replied, gloomier than usual.

"What's up?" Benny sat down. "Anything I can do to make you smile? It's a nice day. You should enjoy it. They don't have skies like this where you're from-"

He was cut off by Chloe wailing. "THAT'S THE PROBLEM!" she sobbed. "I miss my homeworld. No one here likes me, I can't seem to get any research done, and space craft designs are all failures!"

"Hey, cool it," Benny said dumbfoundedly. "Maybe you should eat chocolate. That always perks me up."

Chloe gave him the world's blankest look. "Chocolate? Is that an Earth food?"

Benny usually didn't share. After all, sharing was a nice-guy thing to do. But it was for Chloe. So he pulled out a chocolate bar (that luckily hadn't been melted by the heat of the day) and handed it to her. After all, chocolate was soul food. And he could already see her cute face lighting up and her little mouth curve into a smile. It made him feel all mushy inside. If Bobby ever found out, he'd never live it down. Eh, it was probably worth it anyway, so who cared?

"Earthling," Chloe said suddenly. "When my species takes over this world, I'll make sure you don't get hurt."

"Thanks!" Benny replied happily. The two shared a smile that was worthy of a Hallmark movie… though as far as I know Hallmark doesn't make alien movies. Oh well, it was still a nice moment anyway.

And a nice ending.
