Special Guests in France Part 7

Bea POV

This was it. The final test to see if you can go on this mission, it's kinda like an escape room, but a library, and with clues not as classic. I am 15, you can Volunteer for VFD at 14, so I just make the cut. I was put in a group with a couple of vetran volunteers who recognized me and gave me their condolences, and a boy, 14 years old, his parents had just died in a terrible fire, and he was brought here. I couldn't help but think that my family would call this the story of their life. He was having some sort of mini-panic attack.

"My parents, th-they are dead, I'm an orphan, I'm not sure where I am, and my only possession is this binocular looking thing I found in the ruins of my house."

"My father was killed the day before I was born, and my mother, she died giving birth to me. I was taken in by people who my namesake is a given, and my history is similar to theirs, their parents died in a fire to." I went on to tell him to story of the Baudelaires and the Quagmires. He seemed to feel a bit better knowing he was found by VFD before anyone else could find him. "And, that is not half a binocular, its a spyglass, which you will be taught to use. This is mine." I showed him the spyglass.

"Thanks for this." He smiled. "I haven't felt like someone understand me in a long time."

"Well, I can assure you that you will find the answer to every single one of your questions in a library." I sighed, "The world tends to be quiet around here."

"I've heard that a few times, you seem to talk in code, there are many things in this world I haven't figured out yet," He laughed, and smiled, I couldn't help but notice he was really cute, he was a bit taller than me, pitch black hair, a sweater, and nice pants. I think I might have a crush.

"I didn't catch your name." I said

"Lucas, Lucas Opalistene. And yours?"

"Beatrice Baudelire, the second. Charmed." I did a little curtsy and he laughed. "People tend to call me Bea, but in VFD, I am Beatrice Snicket-Denouement-Baudelire. Whatever last name they decide on this time. I prefer Baudelaire but VFD sometimes is stubborn, seeing my parents were some of the nobelist volunteers."

"Well, Beatrice Baudelaire the second, we should get to work." He smiled, actually I'm not sure if he stopped smiling, I think he likes me too! We finished the escape room and Lucas walked me back to my family.

"Wow, there are alot of people" he whispered, I forget how big my family was sometimes.

"Hi guys," I said. "This is Lucas Opalistene, Lucas, this is Violet, Klaus, Sunny, Duncan, Isadora, and Quigly." I gestured to each of them as I went.

"Wow, you three look alot alike." He marveled while looking at Duncan, Izzie, and Quigley.

"We get that alot." all three of them said at the same time.

"We're triplets." Said Duncan. "So Lucas, whats your story" He told them what had happened to him.

"Well Beatrice, I have to go." He glanced at his schedule. "I have one more course."

"Bye" I said, and before I could stop myself, I kissed him on the cheek. His face went red but he also smiled.

"Bye" He said, smiling

"What was that Bea" Violet smirked. I thought of something I had heard before.

"A couplet." I smiled and looked down. Klaus and Isadora tried to stifle a laugh, and Duncan and Violet both said

"I've heard that before!" they said, chuckling, and patted their respective siblings backs.

"You're to young for a crush little Bea. And he calls you Beatrice, Wow. " Klaus said like the big brother he is.

"Excuse me, If I am correct, Izzie kissed your cheek when you were 12 and you were making out with her by 13, second base by 14, and got her pregnant when you were 19 and she was 21." Izzie laughed and Klaus reddened.

"She's got a point Klaus," Violet said. Sunny was just looking down. If Klaus was worried about Bea having a crush at 15, then he must be mad about her being pregnant.

-Flashback-

Violet POV

Ughhhhhh. I was feeling awful. I had been puking all morning, Duncan had been holding my hair up, but he just went to go grab some breakfast. Oh Duncan, We were 1 month engaged, I have a fiance, I loved saying that! Izzie knocked on the bathroom door.

"How you doing Vi?" She asked

"Not well." I whined

"You don't have a fever, what's going on."

"I'm not sure, I have not other signs of sickness."

"Have you.. No"

"What?" I asked

"Well, I was just thinking, you are involved, do you think you could be…."

"No. Izzie. I am not pregnant. You don't think I really could be do you?"

"Well, why dont you check." She handed me a test that I had in my bottom drawer. I did the test and waited while Izzie tidied up. "Izzie, It beeped."

"Ok, what does it say?"

"Oh my god." I cried

"You're pregnant!" She laughed

"I should do it again just in case." I did that, I was still pregnant.

"You're pregnant" She said again.

"Oh, Izzie, what do I do!"

"I don't know." She said. "I've never been pregnant." We went over options and we decided to go to Jacqueline. We were planning to move into our mansions next week, seeing Klaus was now 18. But right now, we still lived with her.

"Jacqueline" I knocked

She opened the door of her study. "Hi Violet and Isadora, What brings you here?"

"Well, I have a problem, and I'm not sure what to do."

"Well, sit down. Duncan told me you were throwing up this morning, does it have to do with that?"

"Yes, I'm not sure how to tell you this.. I'm pregnant." She dropped her tea.

"Violet, how, well I know how, but when."

"I'm really not sure." I responded. "It really could have been anywhere from 3 months to 1 week."

"Well, I'll make an appointment to see, we will want to know how far along you are."

"I should tell the others right?"

"I think so" Both Jacqueline and Izzie responded.

"Ok then." I said, and walked out. At lunch I told everyone I needed to make an announcement.

"Hi everyone, we are moving out next week, but I'm not sure thats going to be the biggest change in our lives this year."

"Count Olaf didn't rise from the dead did he?" Klaus laughed. Izzie put a had on his shoulder to tell him it wasn't the time.

"No, No. So along with me and Duncan getting married next year, I'm also pregnant."

"You-Your pregnant" Duncan whispered. Than the poor guy fainted into Klaus's arms. He woke up a few moments later. He got up and kissed me. "Thank you, Vi."

"Not really my doing." I smirked at him.

"Their a cute couple" Izzie made fun

"Now, don't get any bright ideas Klaus." We all laughed, it was even more funny 7 months later when Izzie was pregnant. 2 months after I made this announcement, I had my first ultrasound. It was weird. But, what I found out was even weirder.

"Oh, My." The doctor said. Duncan ran over.

"Whats Oh, My!" He said, he was very nervous.

"Ya, What is Oh, My." I asked.

"Do either of you happen to have any family that has been triplets?"

"Yes." Duncan responded. "I'm a triplet, along with my mother, her cousins, and their grandfather."

"Why do you ask?" I said worriedly.

"Well, miss Baudelaire, you're having triplets."

"Oh" I said

"My" Duncan finished.

"What gender?" I asked.

"2 girls and a boy. I'll give you a minute to process this.

-End of Flashback-

"Are you ready for your mission Volunteers?" Fiona asked

"If we wait until were ready" I set up

"We'll be waiting the rest of our lives." Quigly finished, Just like at Mount Fraught.

Klaus POV:

"The Mortmain Mountains!" Sunny screamed!

"Of all the places." Me, Violet and Quigley sighed

"I kissed my husband's brother in the Mortmain Mountains. And I climbed a waterfall, twice! I am not going back there. Plus, we would have to fly back home." Violet liked to tease Duncan with the I kissed your brother bit.

"We held Esme Squalor hostage in the VFD ruins." I said

"You guys think there bad for you! I was head hostage at the top of Mount Fraught and had to serve villains." Sunny growled

"I wasn't born yet, but my mother was chased through the woods by VFD enemies and dove off a cliff in dragonfly wings and into the stricken stream."

"I found out my siblings were alive, and made friends, Mount Fraught wasn't that bad for me, despite being pushed off a sled by a tree branch and having to ski down a mountain on piece of tree bark, but I found Dunc and Izzie in the process, so it wasn't half bad."

"Ya, Ya, we have to take the mission though. Izzie and Sunny can't Mountain climb, But Violet and Quigly certainly can, and I wasn't that bad. Bea, you can come with us, and bring that new fried of yours, maybe he has a brother you'll fall in love with." I said. Bea ignored the brother comment and pulled Lucas over.

"Ok, what will Me, Sunny and Duncan do?" Isadora asked.

"I have an assignment for you, that I will also be attending, we just have to drive through the Hinterlands." Fiona said.

"Déjà Vu" Me, Violet and Sunny growned.

"I had my first kiss, almost got my head cut off, and committed arson, and almost assisted in murder in the Hinterlands. Good luck guys." Violet said sarcastically.

"I also had my fist kiss, but I was kidnapped again and shoved into a hot air mobile home" Duncan said.

"Well, thats all in the past." Bea said. "Let's go volunteer."

"Violet Quagmire formerly Violet Baudelaire, Mortmain mountains."

"Klaus Baudelaire, Mortmain Mountains."

"Quigley Quagmire, Mortmain Mountains."

"Beatrice Baudelaire the second, formerly Beatrice Denouement, Mortmain Mountains."

"Lucas Opalistene, Mortmain Mountains."

"Sunshine Baudelaire, Hinterlands."

Hi guys, what should happen next? I thought having them go back to these places,it would spark a lot of drama! What do you guys think if I did like a kidnapping thing and they all had to find their way back to Paris, to like find there kids in an elevator shaft, IDK.
