A bright good morning sun shines on the gang and their Pokémon friends, who spent a peaceful night camp besides a sparkly lake. Getting ready for some breakfast and another new day.

Ember noticed that Brock was really quiet and not moving, she walked over to the him, "Is something the matter Brock?" She asked.

"..." Brock suddenly fell over onto the grass.

"Brock!" Ember and Misty shouted as knelt beside him.

"Raichu!" Tesla said.

Ember placed a hand on Brock's forehead, "He's burning up with a fever." She told them, "We better get him to the cabin bed."

Machamp helped Brock to bed, leaving all the Pokémon worried. Brock was tucked up in bed and Misty got a basin of cold water and cloth and placed the damp cloth onto Brock's forehead.

"Raichu Rai? (What's wrong with Brock?)" Tesla asked.

"Brock's fine, mostly he just collapsed from exhaustion. People who over work themselves to the point their body shut downs. Professor Oak collapsed from exhaustion before." Ember explained, "All Brock needs is a good rest for the whole day, not doing any work."

"I agree." Misty agreed.

Brock began to stir in bed, he weakly got up. "Can't rest... Got too much work to do." He told them. "Breakfast... Lunch... And... Laun-" He collapsed back onto the bed, "Dry..."

"Oh no you don't," Ember pushed Brock to lie down again, "You're too sick and weak to work. So you will lie down and sleep. Misty and I will do the work today."

"Ember's right, we can take care of the chores today." Misty said.

"You're right... I could use some rest." Brock gave in, "The notebooks are in backpack and it will tell you what chores need to be done today." He fell asleep.

Tesla went to get the notebook from Brock's backpack, "Rairai. (I got it.)" She said.

Ember and Misty left Brock to rest in the cabin.

All of Brock's Pokémon looked worried; Steelix, Graveler, Crobat, Pineco, Midday Lycanroc, Stantler, Marowak, Victreebel, Machamp, Magcargo, and Chansey got worried about their trainer.

"Brock is sick because he overworked himself. He just needs a long rest and he'll be good as new." Ember told the Pokémon.

"Chansey? (Can I go and look after Brock?)" Chansey asked.

"Sure thing Chansey, having you look after Brock is much reassuring so he doesn't move around." Ember told the egg Pokémon.

Chansey smiled, "Chansey."

Ember took Chansey to Brock with Crobat and Pineco following behind, "Chansey, if Brock ever wakes up use Sing to put him back to sleep, knowing Brock he'll be worried and try to do work." She said.

Chansey nodded, "Chansey. (Leave it to me.)" She said.

"I'll be back to give him some porridge." Ember told them, before she left the cabin once again, leaving Brock with his three Pokémon to look after the sick Breeder.

Ember and Misty started to get to work with the chores at once, after they had their breakfast. Misty looked through the notebook.

"I can't believe that Brock does these so many things in one day." Misty commented.

"It's probably because he's the eldest sibling of ten children in his family," Ember stated, "and that he started learning to cook and clean at a young age."

"Yes that's true," Misty spoke up, "And he did tell us once that he had to take on a lot of responsibilities for his sick mum and while his dad went on his journey."

"We better get started now." Ember suggested.

The first chore that needed to be done was polishing Steelix and Graveler. Ember figured that Brock liked to polish them to make them look smart.

"I'll polish Steelix," Ember said, "Brock taught me how to do that with my Steelix."

"And I'll polish Graveler." Misty offered.

Ember asked Brock's Stantler to use a very gentle Sand Attack on Steelix and Graveler. Using a little bit of sand was used to give Rock, Ground and Steel type Pokémon a good polishing. Ember showed Misty how to polish them. Then Ember and Misty started to polish Steelix and Graveler.

Some time later, Ember and Misty had finished the polishing. Then Misty decided to do the dishes. So she filled up a big bucket with water from the lake, found some washing up liquid in the cabin, and started to wash the dishes in the bucket. Machamp cut up some firewood with Tesla while Ember began cooking. She easily cook up some porridge from her mother's recipe and when it was finished she gave it to Nariko, who flew to the cabin window that was opened and gave it to Chansey, who gave it to Brock to eat when he was awake to some breakfast.

"Guys, I'm going to go fetch some apples for Brock." Ember said.

"Okay, but be careful." Misty warned.

"I will." Ember assured her.

Ember and some of her Pokémon; Talos, Raiden, Nessy, Marshadow, and Cross went into the forest.

Ember and her Pokémon went into the forest, looking left and right at the trees.

"This is weird." Ember frowned, "the apple trees have no what-so-ever apples on them."

"(That is very odd.)" Marshadow agreed as he emerged from Ember's shadow.

"Hera Heracross? (Where could have they gone?)" Cross asked.

"That's what I like to know." Ember stated.

Then Marshadow sensed something nearby and Ember noticed this.

"Marshadow? What is it?" Ember questioned.

"(I detect humans and a Pokémon nearby.)" Marshadow answered.

"I have a funny feeling they might be responsible for what happened to the apple trees." Ember said.

"Goo Sliggoo. (Then we better find out.)" Nessy suggested.

The group decided to head towards the source.

When they got to the source, they found out that it was Team Rocket who had a cart full of containers of apples.

"Team Rocket!" Ember called out.

Team Rocket turned to the voice and gasped, "Gyah! It's the twerp!"

"So you're the ones who are stealing the apples." Ember glared at the trio.

James showed the machine he was carrying, "That's right. Our Power Picker is the best!" He said, smugly.

Ember and her Pokémon had flat expressions on their faces. Ember then sighed.

"You're not going to spare any apples are you?" Ember questioned.

"No," Meowth smirked, "We need them for our future business."

Then all of Ember's Pokémon stood in front of her.

"A fight huh?" Jessie said, holding out a Pokéball, "This is going to be easy! Go, Arbok!" She sent out the cobra Pokémon.

"Carrbokk!" Arbok hissed.

"Meowth, I'll join!" The scratch cat Pokémon said.

"Go, Victreebel!" James sent out the flycatcher Pokémon.

"Victreee!" Victreebel appeared.

Then Victreebel bit James on the head.

"Attack the twerp, not me!" James yelled, muffled, as he tried to get Victreebel off his head.

Jessie and Meowth sweat-dropped at the scene.

"This never gets old." Meowth commented.

Jessie sighed, "Yeah."

Then James finally got Victreebel off his head.

"Arbok use Poison Sting!" Jessie commanded.

"Victreebel use Razor Leaf!" James commanded.

"Nessy, Cross Protect!" Nessy and Cross projected a green barrier in front of themselves. The attacks bounced off the barrier.

"Nessy, Mud Shot! Cross, Pin Missile!"

Nessy's attack hit Arbok while Cross's hit Victreebel who both cried out in pain by the attacks.

"My turn!" Meowth said, as he dashed towards them with his claws glowing metallic color, "Take this!"

"Talos, Tackle!" Talos ran towards Meowth and tackled in the stomach which sent him flying back into Team Rocket.

"Meouch..." Meowth winced as he struggled to moved.

"Meowth move!" Jessie shouted out, as she struggled to move.

"Nessy, Rain Dance!" Nessy summoned a cloud of rain and soon rain poured down onto Team Rocket and they were getting soaked.

"I hate getting wet!" Jessie complained.

"Quick use Electroweb!" Raiden's tail glowed, a yellow orb appeared on the end of the tail and he spun, throwing the orb, which changed into a web and it enlarged, trapping Team Rocket.

"Ahhhhh!" Team Rocket shouted out, as they are shocked and trapped.

"Now, time to send you off. Raiden, Thunder Shock!" Ember ordered.

Raiden let out his electrical attack and the Team Rocket was sent flying into the air.

"Well... Our apples are free for the taking..." James commented, casually.

Jessie was fumed, "That twerp still foils our business plans!"

"Yeah and we still underestimated her." Meowth pointed out.

Team Rocket sighed, in defeat, "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They shouted before they disappeared into the cloudy sky.

Ember and her Pokémon cheered, "We did it, everyone!" She smiled.

Suddenly Nessy glowed white. Ember and her Pokémon gasped at this. They watched as Nessy's form became bigger and taller. When the glow died down, they saw Nessy's new form. Then the rain stopped coming down.

Ember took out her phone and scanned the Pokémon.

[Goodra, the Dragon Pokémon and the evolved form of Sliggoo. Goodra is very friendly, and one of its hugs can cover its Trainer with a sticky slime.]

Ember smiled and looked up at Nessy, "Congratulations, Nessy."

Nessy smiled as well, "Goodra!" Then she hugged Ember who hugged her back.

"Raw! (You evolved!)" Raiden cheered.

Nessy smiled and rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

"Heracross Hera? (So what do we do with all the apples?)" Cross asked.

"Well I guess we can take them." Ember said.

"Grunt. (Might as well.)" Talos agreed.

"Goodra." Nessy lifted up the wooden wheelbarrow and she began to push it, back to the cabin area.

When Ember and her Pokémon returned, Machamp was finished with the wood and Misty had finished hanging the clothes.

"We're back!" Ember announced.

Misty looked up and saw Nessy pushing a wheelbarrow, "Erm, what's up with the wheelbarrow?" She asked. Then she noticed Nessy, "And who's that?"

"Oh, this is Nessy the Goodra. Sliggoo's final form." Ember replied.

"Wow, that's quite a cute form." Misty commented.

Nessy rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

"That's a lot of apples. How did you get so many in a short amount of time?" Misty asked.

"Well..." Ember started.

Ember told Misty about Team Rocket being here and taking all the apples with a machine of theirs, they battled Team Rocket and won.

"I see. Well, I'm glad that you're not hurt." Misty smiled, "Well congrats on beating Team Rocket." She congratulated her.

"Thanks." Ember grinned, happily.

Misty took some of the apples and washed them, she peeled two apples and cut them for Brock.

While the rest of the washed apples went to the Pokémon, who all enjoyed the red juicy apples.

In the meantime, Brock had drifted off into another dream. This time Brock was dreaming that he was standing on clouds in the sky with Butterfree's.

"Beautiful..." Brock smiled, "What can be nicer than a beautiful sky?" He began to walk, when suddenly he, fell through the clouds, "AHHHHH! I'm falling!" He screamed out as he continues to fall into a dark hole.

"Gyah!" Brock woke up from dream and he realized that he just fell out of bed.

"Chansey..." The egg Pokémon looked at her trainer with a worried, expression.

Ember and Misty had just entered the cabin, when they heard Brock scream.

"Hey Brock, are you okay?" Ember asked.

"Yeah, just a bad dream." Brock answered, as he was place back into the bed.

Misty handed him a plate of sliced up apples, and Ember handed the apples to Chansey, Pineco, and Crobat who thanked her.

Brock took a bite out a slice, he was getting hungry, "This is delicious..." He munched on the apples.

Ember place a hand on Brock's forehead, "Hmmm, it seems like your getting better Brock, your temperature is down." She said, "But just to be safe, you still need to rest."

Brock nodded, as he finished all the slice of apples, "Thanks everyone." He was glad to have great friends like them.

"No problem Brock." Misty said.

"I'll give you medicine and make another batch of porridge for dinner." Ember said.

"Okay..." Brock dozed off to sleep.

Ember and Misty left the cabin, leaving Chansey, Crobat and Pineco with Brock.

The sun was setting and it was time for dinner.

Ember got all the ingredients out and started to prep them for dinner. Misty sorted out the Pokémon food.

Soon the food was ready to eat, Ember had just finished placing the last plate.

"Okay. Dinner is ready!" Ember smiled, proudly at her work.

Misty sat down at the table, while Ember handed a tray of food that contained Brock's food and medicine, it was delivered by Nariko, again.

"Rai." Nariko returned from her delivery and she went to join the other Pokémon's.

Ember sat down across Misty, "Hope you enjoy it." She said.

"Thanks for the food!" Misty said, excitedly.

"Yum!" She took another bit of the meatball.

Ember smiled softly as her cheeks turned pink.

All the Pokémon were talking happily among each other, as they eat their food.

That night, after today's chores were all done, it was time for bed. Ember and Misty decided to sleep in their sleeping bags outside the cabin. They thought that Brock would have a better sleep without them in there. All the Pokémon were asleep outside too, except Chansey, Pineco and Crobat; they wanted to stay with Brock. Ember and Misty were exhausted after doing today's chores.

"Phew I'm tired." Misty sighed.

"So am I," Ember agreed, "It's no wonder Brock had become so exhausted today."

"I don't know how he does it. I know he has done this for a very long time, but still." Misty said.

"Well we all got through it and Brock has gotten plenty of sleep now." Ember assured her, "So let's go to sleep now."

Misty agreed and soon they were all asleep too.

Next morning Ember Misty and their Pokémon; Tesla and Togepi, woke up to see Brock making oatmeal for breakfast.

"Chansey Chan." The egg Pokémon smiled.

"What? Erm, Brock..." Ember said, as she yawned slightly.

"How are you feeling?" Misty asked.

Brock gave them a smile, "I feel much better, especially with all the sleep yesterday." He responded, "Thank you."

"That's good." Ember said.

"I'm really need to head back to the chores." Brock said.

"Rai." Tesla blinked, as she stopped eating.

Ember choked on her food, "Wha?" She said, coughing.

Misty helped her calm down and handed her some water, which Ember gulped down.

"No way!" Misty protested, shaking her head, negatively.

Ember nodded, "Yeah Brock, take it easy would ya." She said.

"You should take a bit more rest today, just in case you collapse from exhaustion again." Misty told the Breeder.

"Rairai." Tesla agreed.

Ember nodded as well, "We'll take care of your chores again Brock." She said.

"..." Brock nodded, "After breakfast, I'll take a nap." He told them.

Ember and Misty sighed in relief.

Next day, after Brock fully recovered from his fever, the gang set off for Olivine City once more.
