Momonga had teleported to the entrance of the sixth floor, he slumped against the wall with a million questions flowing through his mind. " Where did BukubukuChagama and Peroronchino go, and why was I brought here?" He looked back through the events that just transpired. The odd forced calm allowed him to analyze everything better, though said forced calm will have to be dealt with at a later date.
When the servers shut down and he found himself still in the throne room, he'd hate to admit just how much he panicked. Thankfully none of it left his mind, or things could have gone much worse. To figure out what was going on, he sent out Sebas with a couple of the Pleiades. After which he discussed things with Albedo, even contacting Rubedo to confirm things. This wasn't Yggdrasil anymore, now to just figure out what exactly here is.
After another sigh he headed out to the arena, he wanted to figure out who was and wasn't loyal. With Aura and Mare being the most suspicious currently, since they were most recently changed by BukubukuChagama. " She said it was for the next life, would that mean they're no longer loyal? It's okay for them to do whatever they want, but with things being so uncertain, it would suck to lose anyone." His thought process cut short as he entered the arena.
As he gazed up at the artificial sky of the sixth floor, someone had leapt from the V.I.P. box, landing on the sand with a pair of finger signs for victory. She's 6'3 with shoulder length golden blonde hair and a slightly curvaceous figure constricted by her outfit. Her face is still the same, but with some of the youthful chubbiness gone, leaving her face more mature. Her eyes seem to be the same, but her right eye seems to be hidden in shadows, similar to Sebas. Her outfit remained the same as well, with the sleeves and pant legs rolled up to show off her more athletic build. Lastly her shoes were exchanged for plated boots, and she wears a sun pendant in her hair.
The girl ran across the arena and over to Momonga, gaining his attention. The overlord startled a small bit before turning to talk to the kneeling girl, surprised at how little he had to look down to do so. "Ah Aura, I'm glad to see you safe." He said.
Aura bowed her head, confusion tickling her face. "I'm happy to hear that Lord Momonga, though I'm curious as to why I wouldn't be" She replied, standing straight up to look at Momonga.
"Well not long ago I felt Nazarick go through a shift, I had feared that since you and your brother had recently been changed, that something may have happened." Momonga spoke, though he looked around for a moment after. "Speaking of which, where is Mare?"
After hearing the question, Aura had spun around with great exaggeration. She cupped her hands around her mouth before shouting for her brother Mare to come over. If not for the curiosity of what changes the dark elf boy had received, Momonga was sure he'd find great amusement in the twin's bickering, which almost seemed like it was practiced.
Eventually Mare made his way over, though what was most surprising was that he flew over. An 8' tall Seraphim of Wisdom had landed near Aura before taking a more familiar appearance. Mare hadn't gotten much smaller, now being 7'2 with silver hair reaching the middle of his back. He had a similar athletic figure to Aura, but there was more emphasis on his hips, even beating out Albedo. His face somehow became even more feminine, but still has a slight boyish charm. Mare's outfit had more changes, the skirt became a knee-length dress with slits up to the waist. Thankfully with shorts to cover up. His shoes are the same, but his gloves became clawed gauntlets. The cape he wore became a full body black cloak with gold accents, the hood being used to cover his head as an angel. Similar to Aura, Mare has a moon pendant in his hair.
"I apologize for making you wait lord Momonga." Mare says with a bow and a smile. Momonga was too busy trying to figure out why BukubukuChagama decided to make the formerly small dark elf twins so tall.
" I suppose it's probably payback for always calling her short, but this is actually kind of intimidating." Momonga thought, slightly clearing his non-existent throat before speaking. "There is no need for apologies, but the other floor guardians will be arriving here in an hour, so I plan to test some things out in the meantime."
The twins nod and call forth a couple dragonkin to set up some dummies. He quickly realized through his tests that despite the lack of a UI, he instead gained the knowledge of each spell's cost, area of effect, and range. " I guess my physical appearance wasn't the only thing that changed. Hopefully I don't gain the negative effects of being undead as well."
Eventually the tests turned into a sparring match with Aura and Mare against a fire elemental. The changes to their fighting styles became apparent very quickly. Aura no longer had her whip, instead wielding a pair of war hammers. Her tactics consist of getting into the enemy's face and breaking them as much as possible before backing away, even if it doesn't exactly work with an elemental.
Mare wields a large scythe in his angel form, mainly launching pressurized air at the elemental through his slashes. When not attacking directly he summons lesser angels to divide the elemental's attention, allowing Aura to slip in and deal more damage. Despite all Mare is doing, it's easy to tell he's holding back. " I suppose it makes sense, BukubukuChagama has always loved the innocent character snapping trope." Momonga thought, watching as Aura seems to connect her hammers together at the staff, before spinning it rapidly. The nearly dead elemental stands no chance and is snuffed out by the powerful winds.
The two run over to Momonga slightly panting, but with big smiles on their faces. "Man, that was fun, it's great to test out the new forms Lady BukubukuChagama gave to us." Aura exclaimed, Mare nodding in agreement.
For their assistance in his tests, Momonga pulled out a couple cups and a pitcher of never ending water from his inventory. He was surprised how easy it was to get through the figurative mountain of items, thinking of what else carried over from the game as the twins drank the water.
Eventually a dark portal opened up in the arena, with Shalltear stepping through. Momonga was once again shocked as the once small vampire was now as tall as Aura. Her chest was a bit smaller, but actually seemed real, unlike what Peroronchino had put in her backstory. She also had a large pair of batwings, another setting that had originally been turned off. " Why do you torture me so BukubukuChagama, I didn't tease you about your height that much did I?" The overlord wailed in his head. Though he noticed the bickering between Shalltear and Aura, making them look more like siblings than the twins did.
The rest of the floor guardians he asked to be summoned thankfully weren't changed. Cocytus was definitely surprised about how much taller the normally shorter guardians were, especially when he found out Mare was only a couple inches shorter in his angel form. If Demiurge was surprised he didn't show it, simply looking at the three and smiling as if he had over a dozen schemes to utilize them for. Albedo was already aware as overseer, so she continued to be as pleasant as she was in the throne room. " I'm glad I didn't make her in love with me, who knows how bad that would've gone." Momonga thought.
Soon the casual atmosphere vanished as the guardians lined up, Albedo looked up at Momonga, her eyes still pleasant, but with a more professional edge to them. "Lord Momonga, as the last of the Supreme Beings, allow us to pledge our fidelity to you." She spoke, her voice clear and sharp, leaving no room to argue. Shalltear is the first to speak.
"I Shalltear Bloodfallen, guardian of the first, second, and third floors, pledge my fidelity." After which she kneels with her head bowed, the rest follow suit.
"I Cocytus, guardian of the fifth floor, pledge my fidelity."
"I Aura Bella Fiora, guardian of the sixth floor, pledge my fidelity."
"I Mare Bello Fiore, also guardian of the sixth floor, pledge my fidelity."
"I Demiurge, guardian of the seventh floor, pledge my fidelity."
Momonga at this point was overwhelmed by how serious everything became, accidentally activating his Despair Aura I.
"I Albedo, guardian overseer of The Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, pledge my fidelity." She is the last to kneel, but keeps speaking. "Except for the guardian of the eighth floor, Victim, and guardian of the fourth floor, Gargantua, the floor guardians kneel before you to offer our very beings in service to you and Nazarick. While we may not be as great as our creators and your fellow Supreme Beings, we will grind our bodies to dust before failing any task you give us. This we vow!"
"This we vow!" Exclaimed the other guardians, it being clear Albedo spoke what they believed. Momonga was able to notice how despite their different heights, they made a straight line as they kneeled. This was very amusing.
"Raise your heads, you have done well my guardians!." He boasted with his arms spread out. "I have no doubts you'll all be able to serve me well." As he spoke, the guardians lifted their heads with glee, with Aura and Mare looking to each other with smiles.
"Now as you may all be aware, about an hour ago everything seemed to have shifted, I was not entirely sure how, so I had Sebas patrol around the outside of Nazarick with a couple of the Pleiades. He should be back around now." Momonga spoke, everyone noticing Sebas approaching as if he was called.
"My apologies for my lateness my lord, but I'm afraid I don't have much good news." Said Sebas, after which he explained what he saw outside. The swamps of Helheim were gone and replaced with normal grass plains, no guild bases, dungeons, or even monsters roaming about.
"I see, I had a suspected this was the case, but I thank you for confirming it for me." Momonga said after letting the information sink in, he then turned to the rest of the guardians. "Due to unknown circumstances, it seems the Great Tomb of Nazarick and all its denizens have been transported to another world. As much as we wish it, I do not think anyone else from the guild has joined us here. Therefore until we can figure out the power of this world, or even if there are others here, Nazarick will be kept on high alert."
"Lord!" The guardians nod in agreement.
"Next I'd like some suggestions on what we can do to protect our guild from outside, I feel camouflaging would be a waste of our potential, but leaving the tomb as is will only leave us vulnerable." Momonga says, looking to the guardians. Surprisingly it's Mare who speaks first.
"W-well, we could build a town around the tomb. Have whoever lives in this world populate it so we can still be hidden without being obvious about it." He said, a small smile on his face. He and his sister were told a lot by their creator about her and the other supreme beings. He figured that since the world would more than likely have humans, that Momonga would be happy to have some nice humans around.
Not everyone seemed to agree with the idea though. "You suggest that we allow lesser beings to sully the grounds of the great tomb?" Albedo asked with a slight growl.
"Albedo, do not speak if you have nothing productive to add." Momonga scolded, though more than just Albedo flinched back from it. Aura could only have slight pity, not having the same knowledge she and her brother had.
Momonga looks back towards Mare. "So you think that would work Mare? There would be a lot of preparation required, and we would have to rely on the trust of whatever lives in this world."
Mare looked down for a bit, thinking about how to reply. "I feel like if we choose the right people to live in the town it could work. Being fair with laws and stuff can definitely help loyalty as well." He says, being quiet for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, it could work."
Momonga nods as well. "Very well, we will work on that once we figure out the full situation. For now we'll need you, Albedo and Demiurge, to work together on strengthening Nazarick's defences. The rest of the guardians shall defend their respective floors, and the Pleiades guard the ninth." He commands, raising the staff up a bit. "You have my orders, serve me faithfully!" He bellows before teleporting with the ring of Ainz Ooal Gown.
As he reappears in a hallway on the ninth floor, he immediately slams his head into a wall. " What the hell did I just do in the end!? I'm supposed to be some sort of ruler, not a drama club kid!" He mopes in his mind, feeling a forced calm wash away his embarrassment. "Though something seemed a bit off about Mare's suggestion, I may need to talk with him about it at some point." He mumbled, walking towards his suite.
Two Homunculus maids entered the hallway shortly after Momonga left. "D-do we have anything to fix that?" One of the maids asked, looking at the hole in the wall lord Momonga left with his head. She felt a pair of arms wrap around her as the other maid gave a hug. The maid was different from the rest of them, having a flat chest and massive thighs. Combined with her height, she was a bit intimidating to the other maids.
She was a bit different too, but less so. Her only difference was her pure white hair and that she was shorter than the rest. "I think it'll be fine Snowflake, I'm sure Eclair Ecleir Eicler will fix it." Rebecca said, lifting the smaller girl up. "How about we pretend we didn't see it and blame it on the bird if it's not fixed ?"
She walked back the way they came, the smaller girl kicking her legs in a futile attempt at struggling. "N-No, put me down Rebecca! We have to fix it!" She whined, but was ignored as they disappeared around the corner.
/Author Notes/
Don't expect any consistency with chapter length, though I hope to at least go over 1000 for now on.
I am aware how tall Ainz is in the anime, I'm just gonna go with him, Demiurge, and Sebas all being 6' while Cocytus is 8'4" and Albedo is 5'5 or 5'7.
Lastly yes Aura and Mare are extremely different. Aura is a dragonoid (or whatever Sebas is) fighter who can use any weapon, and Mare is a Seraphim of Wisdom who focuses on Summons, and is very good at cutting you up. Shalltear is just taller and doesn't look like a kid, that's BukubukuChagama's revenge on her brother. Anyway, peace out people.
/New Notes/
Edited so it makes sense with the first chapter, and now got a couple maids for shenanigans.
