When Ninya first stepped through the portal she felt a weird sense of vertigo. She stumbled a bit, but was caught by a pair of strong arms. She looks up to see an older butler, his features sharp and unmoving. She stood up and backed away a bit, intimidated by the straightforward aura radiating from him. "A-ah, I'm sorry about that sir."

The butler gives a crisp bow, "there's no need to apologize, Lady Enri has informed me you may join the guild, and we are to treat you as we would a supreme being." His face softened just the tiniest bit, noticing how the girl seemed to be frightened. "I and the maids are at your beck and call."

"S-supreme being? Are Enri and Momon not human?" Ninya asked, thoughts flying through her head about what she had done. " Was I wrong, were they just devils waiting for me to be at my weakest before trapping me?"

"Momon isn't, his real name is Ainz Ooal Gown, he's a magic caster," Sebas spoke, taking a softer tone since the girl had recently dealt with trauma. "Enri is still human for now, from what I heard she wants to become an angel."

Ninya perked up, "An Angel, could she bring back my friends?" She had a small smile on her face at this newfound hope.

Sebas unfortunately gave a light shake of his head. "Fifth tier magic would have been needed to stop the spell used, seventh tier to fully purify the undead, and then a ninth tier resurrection spell to turn their undead forms human." He frowned in sympathy as he watched her eyes tear up, her smile long gone. Though he continued, "However that is only if the undead body is left alone, which they were not. The three were killed, and their bodies were purified. All I can offer is that they will now rest easy."

All Sebas could do at that point is offer Ninya tissues and pats on the back as she cried.

Ninya eventually was able to calm down, the butler had been very kind despite his straightforwardness. She began to remember what Momon, or Ainz, had said. " If he can really make me strong, no one would get hurt again."

She had been walking around what she was told was the ninth floor, deep underground and as massive as the other floors. The Ninth floor held all the rooms of the Supreme beings, along with the maid's quarters, and all the necessities one could desire. " It's like a city in here, and I'm told there's nine other floors like this?" She stops for a second, looking down at her hands. " Did I actually die back in that shop, and the grim reaper disguised as Momon and Enri cause they knew I'd be compliant?"

Before her thoughts could get darker, she felt a flick against her forehead. She let out an 'ouch' before looking up to see who did it, and finding the blonde haired girl there. She screamed and fell onto her butt.

Clementine tilted her head a bit, "I didn't do anything wrong did I?" She asked

Ninya got back up, "Wh-what are you doing here?"

"Well…" Clementine blushes a bit, "Enri had found a use for me. So I'm here till she returns."

The caster gives a hesitant nod, looking elsewhere before turning back to Clementine. "So why did you join them, why help cause so much death?" She hesitantly asked, the blonde simply tilted her head, and spoke as if what she said was normal.

"Because I like killing people, it's fun."

Ninya froze after that, such a straightforward answer, but one with horrifying implications outside the obvious. A mindset that saw others as mere playthings for a moment of entertainment.

She couldn't help but think of the Nobles, they didn't care for anyone besides themselves, and peasants were nothing but dirt to walk upon. She glared up at Clementine, who surprisingly flinched back from the pure malice emitting from the younger girl. Which left her completely unprepared when Ninya used her staff to pin Clementine to the wall, the only reason she didn't easily break free was because she couldn't comprehend just what happened.

"I do not care if you wallow in misery for all eternity, you will stop thinking like that or I'll do to you what you said you'd do to me!" She practically growled at the older woman, who could only widen her eyes in fear. The girl was weaker, but she wouldn't need strength to bring her wrath upon those who caught her ire.

Clementine nodded rapidly, running off when Ninya pulled back her staff.

When Ainz, Enri, and Lupusregina had returned, they were informed by a shadow demon of the events that transpired while they were away. Ainz went to find Ninya while Enri was left to find Clementine. Lupusregina just said her goodbyes before skipping off.

It didn't take too long for the paladin to find Clementine, as her behavior was predictable. The blonde had gone to the Ninth floor dojo to vent her frustrations on some poor dummy. Though as Enri saw the woman's face, it was clear she was attempting to vent her fear, and failing.

She was able to calm Clementine down enough to learn her perspective of the situation, and despite the fear, the woman respected Ninya and hoped she proved useful as a guild member. Enri could only nod, her mind elsewhere. " Ninya seems like a sweet girl, though I suppose if one angers a sleeping dragon enough. Her life certainly didn't have many ups, and more often or not it's because of the Nobles."

They had finished their conversation eventually, and both headed off to bed for whatever would come tomorrow.

[Line Break]

Ninya had woken up the next day, immediately apologizing to Enri and Ainz for what her actions caused last night. The two had forgiven her, as it really didn't cause much issue aside from startling a maid or two. Though with that out of the way she spoke with Enri in private.

"S-so the butler told me something last night." Ninya said with a small blush, "He said you were planning for me to join your guild. What would that entail?"

"Well, basically what Ainz had said, you would gain great power. Though…" Enri started, though she was hesitant to finish. "You would have to give up your humanity."

Ninya nodded, it's what the butler told her last night. Though it sounded bad, apparently Enri was going to become an angel. " Would I want to become an angel, or something else?"

All those years ago, when her sister was taken. She had begun to hate the nobles, even if they didn't care for those whose lives they ruined. Things had gotten better, but the nobles only got worse. She knew the attacks on the villages were because of them, they had basically pranced around the cities in celebration for the warrior captain's death. Enri lost everything because of them, then came the funds the nobles took from the city guard. The lack of funds kept them from noticing the necromancers, and now she lost her friends just as she was finally feeling hopeful.

"For as long as I can remember, the Nobles had always been the real monsters," Ninya began, her voice dropping a bit with her building anger. "They have always taken from those less fortunate, whether it be money or women, or even both if they feel entitled." She spoke the last word with a tinge of venom. Even Enri began to understand why Clementine fled, the small girl knew how to be scary.

Ninya took in a slightly shaky breath. "They have been a parasite destroying the kingdom and everything within it, as I'm sure you're aware." She looked directly at Enri, who flinched a little from the gaze. "If I could only just help think of a single day of torture for even the most minor of nobles, to give them just a fraction of all they did to me. Then I would join in a heartbeat."

Just then a tall man in an orange suit appears near the two women, causing them both to jump in fright. Though he just stood there with a smile, looking at Ninya before speaking. "Well, it's your lucky day isn't it hmm?" He held out a hand, and Ninya hesitantly shook it. "My name is Demiurge, I assist in Nazarick's defences, but I also love to dabble in music from time to time, and am always looking for new talent."

The magic caster didn't know why, but the way he said music sparked something in her, and she couldn't help but smile. "I think I would like to hear what you can do." She began to follow him out of the room afterwards, Enri could only watch in horror as they walked away. Her new paladin nature cursing that they lost her to a demon, but a small part of her was happy Ninya seemed to find something she loved, even if it is 'music'.

Made the chapter better, nothing else to add.

If you're on the Overlord Fanfiction discord, I got a channel there, but if not, expect kinks from now on, though not in such quantities. Anyway, peace out people.
