As Sam put his hand around your waist, signaling for you to move, your surroundings seemed to disappear. It was like there was no one else but the two of you at that moment, slowly dancing. Your eyes were lost into his, his beautiful brown eyes made you dizzy, inebriated. You could feel your bodies moving together along to the music playing in the background.
"I want this moment to last forever." Sam whispered to you as he leaned in for a kiss. A spell is cast on you by his words.
You parted your lips, letting him in, he tasted like the champagne you had earlier. The kiss lasted for as long as you two could hold your breath. When you broke it, it was like you had been snapped back to reality. Your surroundings came into the picture for the first time since your first dance as husband and wife started.
''I am the luckiest girl on the planet to have you.'' You said smiling at him.
His grip on your waist got harder as he smiled back at you, you gently placed your head on his shoulder.
''I love you, did you know that?'' Sam uttered. You kept dancing like that for some more time.
When the song suddenly changed signaling your dancing was over, you heard a familiar voice coming from behind the people on the small dance floor.
''Okay, guys. Leave the lovey-dovey stuff to later, the first dance is over, now we're gonna take some pictures so you can always go back to tonight.'' Jared yelled from across the room, bringing the photographer with him.
You took pictures with everyone at the party, the only guests were your family and friends anyway. Sam and you had agreed that it didn't make sense to invite people you barely knew for something as important as your wedding. The venue was small, yet pretty, covered in flowers and small lights, giving it a romantic glow. He had participated in the wedding planning, giving his opinion on everything, and you loved it, a wedding is supposed to be about two people, so knowing he also agreed about the flowers, the cake, etc, made the wedding even more special.
You wouldn't have an official honeymoon, for now, you decided that it was better to wait and save some money to travel to some paradisic beach and enjoy sunny days for a change in the future. For now, you would both take some days from work and stay with each other.
As the party came to an end, you changed your dress. It was pretty and simple but not too comfy, after a few hours wearing it you felt grateful to wear a normal dress again.
''I want to go home.'' You whined at Sam when he came out of the changing room. ''I am so freaking tired right now.''
''Me too, honey.'' He started putting his shoes on.
When you arrived at home, it really hit you.
''We are married.'' You muttered to him while getting out of the car. ''I am your wife!''
''Yes, you are. Congratulations Mrs. Uley.'' He said while walking up to the door.
''Thank you, Mr. Uley.''
You started searching for the keys in your bag, but he held your hand.
''We have to follow the tradition, I'll carry you inside bridal style.'' He said signaling for you to get in his arms. A blush formed on your face.
''Okay, then.'' You said opening the door and then he picked you up in his arms.
''Is it the right or the left foot first?'' Sam looked at you, a confused expression on his features.
''I don't remember, maybe the right.'' You answered, as confused as him.
''Let's go with the right.'' He smiled at you. Who cares about the right foot anyway? The only thing that mattered for you now was his warm body holding yours and the happy thoughts that came with the realization that you now shared a life together.
He carried you inside the house, gently laying you in your bed, placing a soft kiss on your lips.
''You look stunning.'' He said, looking at your body.
''You also look amazing.'' You stared at him, even after changing clothes he still looked so pretty, you loved every bit part of him. ''I am happy to call you mine.'' You said, placing your lips in his again.
''I don't want the night to end just yet, y/n.'' He said smoothly.
''I love the way you say my name.'' You whispered to him. Not even one single hint of tiredness was left on your body. You moved your left hand up and down his arm, the ring in your finger reminding you of the bond you had made earlier.
''I am happy''
