After the Silver Conference was finished with, Prof. Oak, Delia, and the gang left the Johto region and returned to the Kanto region. Right now, they were at the Viridian City Pokémon Center. Brock had flirted with the Nurse Joy who now works at the Pokémon Center and somehow, she turned him down without knowing it which made him cry heavy tears.

"Excuse me, you're Misty right?" Nurse Joy asked.

"Yes, I am." Misty confirmed.

"I have a message for you from Cerulean City. Your sisters want you to call them right away." Nurse Joy informed her.

"Call my sisters? I wonder why?" Misty pondered.

Misty quickly went over to the phone and answered it.

"[Hey Misty, where have you been? We've been trying to reach you. I was afraid we would be too late.]" Daisy said.

"Everything okay?" Misty asked, worried.

Daisy showed a ticket on the screen, "[Ta da! Tickets for a trip around the world! I came in third in a beauty competition! And I'm able to bring two others!]" She cheered.

Violet and Lily threw confetti in the background behind Daisy.

'This is what she had to call Misty about? Unbelievable.' Ember sweat dropped.

"[We kinda figured that you wouldn't be all that interested in coming along anyway. So you can take care of the gym while we're seeing the world!]" Daisy cheered.

"Hey! Hold on a minute!" Misty protested.

"[We'll be back before you know it! So long!]" The three sisters waved before the screen went black.

"What just happened?" Misty asked, shocked and confused.

"I believe your sisters just dumped all of their responsibilities onto you." Ember replied, bluntly.

Misty slumped her head forward, "Yeah." She muttered.

"So what are you going to do?" Ember asked.

Misty sighed. "Well, honestly, I can't leave the gym alone while my sisters are on their holiday and if I do then it may end up shut down, since the rules say that the gym leader must never leave the gym alone for long."

"That's true actually," Brock agreed, "So then does that mean you'll be going back to Cerulean City?"

"Yeah." Misty answered, sadly.

"That's a shame," Ember said, "I mean we all had fun traveling together through the Kanto Region, Orange Islands, and Johto region."

"It's true we did," Misty smiled, "but as a sensational sister, it's my responsibility now to take over as leader of the gym."

"You'll do great as a gym leader," Ember said, "I mean you have gotten stronger as a Water Pokémon trainer during the journey."

"Yeah, there's no doubt that you will be a great gym leader Misty." Brock added.

Misty smiled softly at that.

"Oh, by the way, I got an email from my parents asking me to come home too," he said, "they wanted to discuss something very important to me."

"Is something wrong?" Ember asked, worried.

"They didn't say," Brock said, "so if would be best if I went back home to Pewter City to see if everything is okay."

"I'm sure everything is okay." Misty assured him.

That evening the gang were getting ready to leave Viridian City. Misty had her bike with her; she had left it at the Viridian City Pokémon center ever since she started travelling with Ember and Brock. Prof. Oak was going to drive Delia and Ember back to Pallet Town.

"I thank you two for looking after Ember and Tesla for me." Delia thanked the two Kanto Gym Leaders.

"We were glad to." Brock said.

"We had a good time traveling with her too." Misty added.

Delia smiled, "I'm glad. Now you two take good care of yourselves now."

"We will." Brock and Misty said.

Delia nodded and got into the car.

"Thanks for being a good friend to me, Ember." Misty thanked the Kanto trainer.

"Thanks for being a good friend to me too, Misty, Brock." Ember said.

"Rai." Tesla added.

"I think you three were destined to become friends." Prof. Oak stated.

Ember, Misty, and Brock turned to Prof. Oak.

"There are times when we meet people we never expected to meet and befriend. Before you know it, you're able to become best friends." Prof. Oak advised, "Friends always have a way to find each other again. No matter how much time has passed."

The three smiled softly at that.

"I guess this is the time for us to be separated with each other." Ember stated.

"Yeah, but we do have millions of memories of each other." Brock said.

"Yeah, especially about what had happened on our journeys through Kanto, the Orange Islands and Johto." Misty said.

"And even if we're apart, we'll always been friends." Ember said.

"Totally." Brock nodded.

Ember and Tesla leaped into a group hug with Misty and Brock.

"I'll miss you guys." Ember said, tears in the corner of her eyes.

"Raichu." Tesla agreed.

Misty and Brock smiled and returned the hug. Tesla and Togepi hugged as well.

"Don't worry, we'll see each other again." Misty assured Ember.

"Toge Toge." Togepi chirped.

Ember nodded. Then they separated.

"Good luck on being the Cerulean Gym Leader, Misty." Ember smiled.

"Thanks, Ember." Misty smiled back.

"Could you say hi to your family for me, Brock?" Ember requested.

"Sure." Brock replied.

Then Ember got into the car and they drove off. Ember turned in her seat and waved goodbye to her two friends who waved back.

"Goodbye Misty! Goodbye Brock!" Ember shouted.

"Raichu!" Tesla called out.

Ember and Tesla waved them until they could no longer see them. They started to cry, missing Brock, Misty, and Togepi already.

Tracey and Delia's Pokémon welcomed Ember, Delia, and Prof. Oak home at once they got back to Pallet Town.

Ember placed her Johto badges and trophy from the Silver Conference onto the shelf where her other badges and trophies were. Delia said that she was going to buy a cabinet for her badges and trophies since Ember would be earning more in the future. Ember then placed her treasures in her room; the two parts of the GS ball and the glass medal she won from the Alto Mare race.

Delia had prepared a welcome home meal for her daughter and everyone was enjoying to it. Ember talked about her adventures as they ate. Prof. Oak and Tracey fascinated about when Ember and the others met Latias and Latios. Then came the topic of the Silver Conference.

"You did very well in that Silver Conference, Ember." Prof Oak complimented Ember.

"I especially liked watching the battles that Poseidon, Azure, Searius, and Moriko were in," Tracey said, "It was so cool watching legendary Pokémon battle."

"So Ember, are you going to travel to another region?" Delia asked.

Ember explained about her plan of going to the Hoenn region next. But she wanted to go to Saffron City and learn about controlling her psychic abilities with Sabrina.

"I've heard of the Hoenn region. I'm sure that you remember that Prof. Birch from there is a friend of mine." Prof. Oak said.

"Yeah I remember Prof. Birch. He was always talking about the Pokémon in his region. It'll be great to see him again." Ember said.

Prof. Oak chuckled, "Something tells me that he'll be ecstatic to meet Latias and Latios."

"Speaking of Pokémon," Delia spoke up, "I have two new Pokémon I would like you to meet, Ember."

Delia's two new Pokémon was a Ledyba and a Marill.

"Wow, when did you get these two Pokémon, mum?" Ember asked.

Delia explained that, a few days ago, she found Ledyba enjoying the nectar from her flowers and Marill was playing with her garden hat.

"I found them so adorable that I had to catch them for myself." Delia smiled.

Ember understood that her mom will always love adorable Pokémon. She figured it must be a mom thing.

The next day, Ember decided to go and visit all of her Pokémon in Prof Oak's ranch.

"I must say Ember there are two Pokémon who are very anxious to see you again." Prof. Oak informed her.

"Latias and Latios right?" Ember asked.

"Yes, they're fine. They really like all of the Pokémon." Prof Oak assured her.

All of Ember's Pokémon were happy to see Ember. She released her other Pokémon from their Pokéballs and they were all happy to play and interact with each other.

Just then Ember was hugged by what looked like Bianca from Alto mare, but of course it was really Latias in her disguised form. Then Latios came up and hugged Ember.

"I still find it amazing that Latias has the ability to change her form." Tracey said, fascinated.

"Hey Latias, Latios, have you two been doing okay?" Ember asked.

Latias and Latios nodded yes.

"I'm glad." Ember smiled.

For the whole day, Ember spent time with her Pokémon. It felt good to be home in Pallet Town.

Three days later, Ember and Tesla were headed off to Saffron City. Sabrina's Alakazam showed up at her doorstep and said that he'll teleport her to Saffron City. Ember didn't mind though. So she packed what she needed and told her mom, Prof. Oak, Tracey, and her Pokémon that she was going to Saffron City. Her Psychic Pokémon told her to train hard which made her smile at their encouragement. When she was ready, Alakazam teleported her and Tesla to Sabrina's gym.

For five months, Ember had fully finished her Psychic training with Sabrina. It was hard and exhausting, but Ember was glad that she was able to do it. She had brought her Psychic Pokémon to train alongside her which was beneficial to her. The skill she liked the most was that she was now able to communicate with her Psychic Pokémon through telepathy which included Latias and Latios.

At the moment, Ember and Tesla were outside the Saffron Gym, ready to head back to Pallet Town. Ember's Alakazam, Houdini, was ready as well.

"You've done very well with your training, Ember. I'm very proud that you were my student." Sabrina complimented.

Sabrina's Alakazam nodded, "Alakazam."

"I'm also glad that I had you as my teacher, Sabrina." Ember complimented.

"Kazam." Houdini smiled.

"Rai!" Tesla smiled.

"Before I forget, I wish to give you something." Sabrina held out an egg incubator with a white and green egg inside to Ember.

"Wow, you're really giving me a Pokémon egg?" Ember asked with wonder.

Sabrina nodded, "Yes, this is a Psychic Pokémon and it help you along your journey." She handed the egg to Ember who gently took it.

"You have indeed become strong as a Psychic user, Ember," Sabrina said, "and I can tell that you'll become even stronger in the future."

"Thanks for everything, Sabrina," Ember smiled, "By the way, I wanted to give you something too." She handed the egg to Houdini and went into her backpack. She pulled out an egg in an incubator and handed it to Sabrina, "It's an Eevee egg. I figured you might want an Espeon and you would be the perfect one to have it."

Two months ago, Prof. Oak had called her and told her that most of her Pokémon had become mates and laid their eggs. Prof. Oak and Tracey were shocked at the revelation. But Ember knew that they wouldn't be able to keep all of the children. So she decided to give them to the Kanto and Johto Gym leaders along with the few friends she had made along her journeys. She had also given some to Prof. Oak and Tracey. They wouldn't stop thanking Ember for giving her Pokémon's children to them.

"Thank you, Ember. I'll take good care of this Eevee." Sabrina assured Ember while holding Eevee's egg close to her.

Houdini handed the egg back to Ember who gently held it.

"And I'll take good care of this egg." Ember smiled.

"I know you will, Ember. I wish you luck on your Hoenn journey." Sabrina smiled back.

"Thanks, Sabrina. Goodbye." Ember thanked the Saffron City Gym Leader and turned to Houdini, "Well Houdini, time to head home."

Houdini nodded, "Kazam. (I agree.)"

Houdini's eyes glowed blue and then he, Ember, and Tesla were teleported back to Pallet Town.

Ember decided to stay at Pallet Town for two days to sort everything out before she went to Hoenn.

Ember kept her gold locket with the Rainbow Wing with her just in case she would need to contact Ho-Oh while she was in Hoenn. She also kept the silver locket with her; she feared it might end up stolen while she was gone.

During the stay, Ember explained to Prof Oak about her plan off just going to Hoenn with Tesla, Talos, Latias, Latios, and the egg.

After two days it was time for Ember to leave Kanto for the Hoenn region. Ember had contacted Mewtwo and told him where she was going. Mewtwo was traveling to the Hoenn region now at the moment, so he understood. Delia had given her daughter a new green backpack with a red Pokéball design on it and a pair of new clothes to wear. Ember wearing a blue hoodie, with a black and purple t-shirt underneath, light blue jean shorts, black and green fingerless gloves, black socks, and black and blue sneakers. (The same outfit that Ash wears in the Hoenn Region, only that Ember is wearing shorts, not pants).

"You be careful and have fun on your journey, Ember. Tesla, look out for Ember for me, okay?" Delia smiled.

Tesla smiled, "Raichu! (I will!)"

"And catch a lot of Hoenn Pokémon." Prof Oak added.

"Don't worry, I will." Ember promised.

"Good luck, Ember." Tracey said.

Ember said goodbye to Delia, Prof Oak and Tracey, and together with Tesla, they set off for a new adventure in Hoenn.
