The gang made their way down the stairs now, wandering through the corridor of the castle.
"So, should we tell Ophelia that Asamad already left?" Daphne wondered.
"I would advise you not to, at least not before all of us talk to her. I do not know how she'll react if we tell her," Vincent told her.
"Well, she's gonna have to know the truth at some point. If she thinks he's still here, then she'll probably go looking for him," Flim Flam said.
"True, but let's just focus on having a discussion about the letter with her first," Velma suggested.
They all immediately jumped and gasped as they heard someone screaming for help in the distance.
"Like what was that?" Shaggy asked.
"Wait, that scream sounded familiar…" Vincent pointed out.
"That was Ophelia," Cheryl figured out. "She's in danger!"
"Come on, we've got to help her!" Daphne exclaimed.
She started to run, and everyone followed after her.
They soon entered the dark room with candles, and ran up to Ophelia as they saw her on the floor.
"Please help me.." she begged.
"What's wrong?" Daphne asked her.
"I have limited time until I get erased from existence permanently. There's these painful shocks in my soul that won't go away until I'm gone for good."
"Wait, how did this happen?" Jayden questioned.
"There's not enough time for me to explain," the ghost told him.
Ophelia then looked around, noticing that Asamad wasn't here with the rest of the gang.
"Where is Asamad?"
"He left. I'm so sorry. We tried to get him to stay, but-" Cheryl began, but then she was cut off by Ophelia.
"What!? No, you have to convince him to come back here!" she exclaimed. "I need him right now."
She cried out in pain as she felt a shock in her soul yet again.
"Okay okay, um, we'll think of something, don't worry," Daphne assured her, trying hard to stay calm. "We'll be right back, just stay here for now."
Ophelia nodded, and the gang quickly ran out of the room.
They ended up back in the corridor of the castle, and Asamad was all the way at the end of it, standing right in front of the doors.
"Does anyone have an idea of how we're going to convince Asamad to come back?" Shaggy questioned.
"Ri ron't know, but re rhave to rind ra way, rotherwise Rophelia will be removed from rall rof rexistence forever, rand rhey'll never see reach other ragain," Scooby answered.
The others kept talking, while Flim Flam looked up for a moment, and saw Asamad in front of the doors.
"Guys, we won't have to convince him to come back, because he's still here," he told everyone, pointing to the red ghost.
They all looked up at Asamad, and immediately went up to him, calling his name.
"Hey, we thought you left," Jayden said.
"I almost did, but then I realized that I just couldn't make the same mistake of leaving that I made all those years ago," the red ghost responded.
"We're really glad you decided to stay, but you have to listen to us right now. Ophelia's in serious danger!" Daphne warned him.
His eyes widened in concern.
"What do you mean? What's going on?"
"She didn't tell us how it happened, but she has these painful shocks in her soul which means that she doesn't have much time until she's permanently erased from all of existence," Cheryl explained.
He immediately froze, of course, he had heard about this many times before, and even now it is still one of his biggest fears. But now that it was happening to Ophelia, well, he could feel his own heart breaking too.
"Asamad…" Vincent said after a moment.
"Please tell me where she is!" he exclaimed.
"She is in a dark room with candles down the hall. The door is already wide open."
Asamad nodded and quickly flew away.
"Ophelia!" he called out.
The rest of the gang then followed after him.
They all ended up back in the dark room where Ophelia was, and Asamad quickly made his way over and sat in front of her.
"Asamad, you came back," she smiled.
"I didn't actually leave at all this time," he informed her. "Are you in a lot of pain?"
"Yes, I am."
She let out a grunt as she felt another painful shock in her soul, and Asamad and everyone else gasped as it happened.
"Listen, you're going to be alright. I will help you stop this," he assured her.
He put his hand on her to try to heal her, and yet, nothing happened at all.
"Ruh roh…" Scooby gulped.
"It's not working, why is that?" Velma asked.
"I don't know," Daphne told her.
"I just remembered now, this cannot be fixed with his magic," Ophelia announced.
"Well then, what can it be fixed with?" Cheryl wondered.
"It is currently unknown," she responded.
Tears then started to fall from her eyes, and she immediately fell into Asamad's arms.
"I'm so sorry, Asamad. I'm really sorry for everything," she cried. "I cannot even feel anything right now except these painful shocks in my soul."
"It's alright, you don't have to apologize," he calmly said. "It's okay…"
He held her close for a moment, and suddenly, there was a light that surrounded Ophelia, the shocks that she felt in her soul were officially gone, and the purple stamp that she had was completely lifted from her wrist.
"Wait, I can feel again, and the painful shocks are gone!" she exclaimed.
"He really did it, he healed her," Shaggy said.
Ophelia wiped away her tears. She looked at Asamad and smiled at him.
"You saved me, thank you."
"I don't know how I did," he admitted. "But, you're very welcome," he smiled back.
They both stood up now, and Vincent pulled out a piece of paper from his cape.
"Since you're safe now, I think it's time for you to finally talk with us about everything."
Ophelia looked at him, and noticed he had her letter in his hand.
"You found the letter that I wrote after I died. It's been such a long time since I wrote that," she stated.
"So, are you finally ready to talk about everything that happened?" Daphne asked.
The ghost looked down for a moment, not knowing what to say.
"If you don't want to discuss it, that's perfectly fine. I'm not forcing you to talk about it if you aren't ready yet," Asamad told her.
"No, it's alright. I suppose that it's about time all of you should hear everything from me," she announced.
Everyone nodded, and they all left the room, ready to talk about everything that happened all those years ago.
