Mist poured off of every surface of the cave. Amelia could barely tell where her own hands were. All around her ice was crystallizing. Crystallizing on the floor, the air, and even in places, on her body.

"Sh- shit," Amelia screamed weakly. She knew in her heart that this was the end. After all she went through, all the pain and loss she suffered, a misplaced teleport into the plane between timelines was going to do her in.

She thought it was pathetic.

After minutes of her straining to zap herself back into time again, she heard the voice.

"Perhaps I can be of some assistance to you, Traveler?"

Directly in front of her, a larger, almost heart shaped ice crystal formed. Before she could chalk up the voice to near death hallucinations, the ice filled itself with a dark purple mist.

"Here Ma'am. I should be able to keep you safe until you regain the strength to leave."

The Purple heart crystal floated towards her and embedded itself in her chest.

Ame gave a gasp of pain and reached to pull it off before relaxing suddenly. Her strength had returned and her skin began to feel warm again. The ice caking her joints loosened before melting away.

Ame rubbed her hands together and hesitatingly said, "What are you?"

The voice laughed like a bird, "I'm but a traveler, like you. I merely passed you by, and happened to notice you needed my assistance. That is all."

"Do you have a human looking form," Ame asked, "it feels odd talking to a crystal embedded into my chest."

"If you wish, I can."

Before Ame had a chance to audibly answer, the crystal began to glow. A light projected outwards and coalesced into a girl around her height.

She had a dark purple dress that joined a pair of opaque stockings in covering her body. Her dress cut off at the sleeves, shortly being replaced by a pair of gloves.

Two crystalline wings spread out from behind her, pale blue in color. With her long violet hair falling neatly behind them.

From her hair jutted two black bone like horns, perfectly framing her pale but slightly warmly colored face.

She stared at Ame with a grin, her eyes giving a soft piercing gaze. With one eye colored purple, like the rest of her outfit, and one with the brilliant blue of her wings.

But most importantly, as Ame noticed anyway, was that she rested in the perfect intersection of "Cute" and "Hot as fuck", so she made a mental note to do something about that once they were in more stable accommodations.

"So what do you think?" the ethereal girl asked.

"Beuatifu- I mean, good, You look good."

The girl grinned, "My name is Irys. What's yours, out of curiosity?"

"It's Amelia, Amelia Watson."

"Well miss Amelia, I think we'll be seeing a lot more of each other in the future."
