Pam quietly filled out her 'get to know you' paper and every once and a while glanced over to where Jim was teasing Dwight.

"Don't mess with me, Jim! I've known you since Kindergarten and I could expose all of your secrets!"

"Yeah, like I'm scared of you," Jim said crossing his arms.

"Okay, then I'll beat you up! I could easily destroy you and everyone in this class!"

"Yeah and then you'll get in trouble with Mr. Scott!" Jim smirked.

Dwight angrily looked down at his paper to ignore Jim and Jim stuck out his tongue.

"Hey! I saw that! Mr. Scott! Mr. Scott!" Dwight pushed back his chair and ran off to tattle on Jim. Jim turned to where Pam was silently working.

"Hey, are you new here?" Jim asked.

Pam looked up and nodded bashfully. "I just moved here from across town."

Jim nodded.

"Hey, why did you stick out your tongue out at Dwight," Pam said shyly. "Won't you go to the timeout corner?"

"Timeout corner? Maybe where you came from far away you had a timeout corner, but here we have parent notes." Jim said 'parent notes' in an ominous voice.

Pam giggled. "Okay, well do you want a parent note?"

Jim shrugged. "I've had them before- and they're not that bad. You just take them home and your parent signs them. Plus, you have to do something really bad to get a parent note."

Jim leaned across the table and looked at Pam's paper. "Hey! That's really good!"

Pam looked down at her self portrait. "I guess. I want to be an artist when I grow up!"

"Woah that's cool! I want to be a sports star when I grow up! I'm not the best yet, but I will someday!" Jim smiled.

"Do you want to share my crayons?" Pam offered. "I begged my mom to let me get the 64 pack." She giggled. Jim nodded enthusiastically and pulled out a bright orange crayon.

"This color will do!" He scribbled out a basketball in the box designated for him to write his hobbies. "Not the best, but it will do!"

Pam giggled at his mess of a page. "At least I can tell what it is!"

"Oh yeah? Then what's this?" Jim said pointing to a messy drawing.

"Um," Pam said genuinely puzzled. "A pig?"

Jim laughed. "No, it's me!" They both laughed.

"Ok class, would you guys like to share?" Michael said. Most students waved their hands wildly in the air. "Alright then. Come to the carpet. I'll pick a random name from the list." All of the students gathered on the carpet with their papers. Michael scanned the list before picking a random name. "How about Kelly?" He suggested

Kelly excited got up and ran to the front of the carpet. "Ok my name is Kelly Kapoor and I like to play with my neighbors and go to the mall with my mom! When I grow up I want to be a fashion model. My favorite color is pink and my favorite animal is a puppy!" Kelly skipped to the back of the carpet and sat down again.

"Ok, good job Kelly!" Michael said. "Anyone else want to go?"

Todd raised his hand up high. "I want to go! I want to go!"

"Alright, you can go, Todd," Michael replied.

Todd stood up in his spot and began to recite his paper. "Okay, my name is Todd Packer and I like to watch TV and play video games with my friends. When I grow up I want to be famous. My favorite color is blue and my favorite animal is a spider!" Todd turned to Michael. "You're kinda ugly. Why is that?"

Michael's eyes widened, but he chuckled a little bit. "Ugly? I'm not so sure."

"Yep! Ugly. And old too."

"Ok, ok. That's enough jokes. Why don't you sit down." Michael said. He looked up at the clock. "Oh! Look at the time! It's time for recess!"

"Yay!" Some of them exclaimed. They all lined up by the door and Michael turned to the class. "Remember to be nice! This is just like third grade." Everyone nodded, just so they could get outside faster. "Ok, come on."
