Michael Scott sat in the chair across Jan Levinson-Gould's desk.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to eat big lunches! It's either you throw-up or fall asleep! Pull it together Michael!"
"What was I supposed to eat then?" Michael argued. "Just my goldfish?"
"Maybe! Just don't throw-up again!" Jan said as Michael got up to leave. "Or fall asleep!"
Michael nodded and hurried down the hall back to his classroom where the janitor, Gordon, was just finishing up.
"Sorry about that kids. Mr. Scott just had a big lunch." Michael explained. Everyone just stared at him. "Ok, so now we are going to do a game. But first, we need to cover some ground rules. Number one- be nice. So no name-calling or bullying."
"Is idiot a mean name?" Kevin asked. "My mom said it was a bad word."
"Yes," Michael pointed at Kevin. "That is a very mean name."
Jim raised his hand. "What about dork?"
"Nope, don't use that either," Michael said.
"HEY!" Dwight said. "Jim called me a dork before school!"
"Well, that was before school, so I couldn't do anything."
"And you were a dork," Jim pointed out.
"I was not!"
Todd raised his hand. "What about b****?"
Michael's eyes widened. "No! No! Don't ever use that!"
"Why not?"
"Because that's a very bad word!"
Todd nodded, though he looked like he still didn't understand.
"Ok, ok," Michael said dismissively. "Enough of that. Let's play some games before school ends."
The class had fun for the rest of the afternoon. At 3:30, the speaker switched on, signifying the end of the day.
"Bye, everyone! See you tomorrow!" Michael waved.
"Bye Mr. Scott!" A few recited back. They all walked out into the hallway.
"Hey, Jim!" Pam said running over to Jim.
"Yeah?" Jim asked, turning to face her.
"Do you think you could show me where the buses are?" Pam asked.
"Yeah, of course!" They both walked outside to the bus area and waited for the buses. Kelly waved goodbye to Ryan. Dwight ran onto the bus and got a good seat upfront. He liked Mr. Scott. This was going to be a good year for all of them.
