"Tomorrow is the last day of school for the week!" Michael announced. "So, for your reward we are going to have a snack bar and a party!"
The class cheered.
"You can bring in whatever snacks you want, just make sure there's enough for everyone! The party will be right after lunch in the afternoon."
The next day lunchtime was fast approaching. Sadly for Pam, Jim was absent again. Though Pam could care less that Jim was gone, the really bad thing was that Pam's only company during class was Dwight. After the painstaking morning, the class had recess and then went to eat lunch. Pam gripped her lunch tray, took a deep breath, and confidently strode over to Roy's table.
"Hey! Look who decided to sit with us!" Roy said happily.
Pam smiled. "Yeah, well since Jim was gone again I decided I could sit here."
"Yep, you're totally right." Roy said. After what Pam thought would be an excruciating 20 minutes, lunch was over. And, Val was right; it wasn't as bad as Pam thought it would be. Roy may be an idiot, but he can prove to be funny and nice. Well, sometimes.
Dwight sometimes drove Angela nuts. Angela could put up with him, but not all the times.
"What did you bring for a snack?" Angela asked, deciding it would be best to change the subject from what type of bear was the best.
"I brought the Schrute Farms dehydrated beet chips! Made by my father Dwight Schrute II himself!"
"I brought chocolate chip cookies," Angela said proudly. "I made them all by myself."
Dwight smiled and nodded. "Great, I can't wait to try them."
Stanley however decided that these snack days was the best.
"They're just snacks," Phyllis pointed out.
"And it's not everyday we get snacks in school," Stanley argued back. "Besides, I won't turn down a good pretzel."
"I'm guessing that's what you brought for the snack?" Bob said.
"Yep,"
They all gathered back in the classroom to where Michael had set up a long table for food to be laid out. Already there on the table were cheese-balls, Alfredo's pizza, goldfish, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Also there in the classroom was another surprise. Jim ws sitting at his desk. As the class took their seats, sat excitedly sat down at the table with Jim.
"Where were you?" Pam asked.
"Well, we went on a mini vacation to see my grandma, and my mom let me sleep in this morning! I could never miss a party! Especially if there were snacks involved!"
Pam smiled. "What did you bring?"
"My famous grilled cheese sandwiches," Jim answered with a smirk. Pam pulled a container with brownies and walked them up to the front of the classroom. Angela however, didn't like the idea of cookies and brownies.
"They're in the same category!" Angela said rather distressed. Pam shook her head and took her seat again next to Jim.
"So… what do you want to do?" Jim asked as the party began.
"I'm not sure, you choose." Pam shrugged. "Also, what do you know about Roy?"
"He's kind of scary. I'd stay away from him if I were you." Jim chuckled. "Why are you asking?"
"Oh, I don't know. I just saw him hanging around at recess."
"Alright, well I say we play some Sorry."
"You'll be sorry you challenged me." Pam said and they both laughed at the bad joke.
