When Victoria chooses to stay behind, a pain forms inside Jamie's chest — compressing his hidden emotions.
He feels like a coward. He can't even tell Victoria how he really feels. Even when she's crying— knowing that she doesn't want to leave them but must. Oh, he knows her mind is made up, and he's afraid if he says anything —a confession even — nothing will change.
