Sho was not a fan of the Shoko game….but his sisters were so how he felt didn't matter.
He really hated this. The sticky stuff on his lips, the heavy stuff on his eyes, the itchy stuff all over his face. The wet stuff and then the powder and the other kind of powder and then the other kind of powder that came after that. Now they were putting the red stuff on his cheeks…well big sis was. Baby sis was just jabbing the brush into his ear. She was doing her best, though, she was only two…and she was too short really to even see what she was doing. She was standing on the bathroom counter and he was holding her in place with his powers. It would have sucked if she fell.
Even though that would have given him a good excuse to get the hell out of there.
"Sho pretty! Over there!" said Mukai. She tried to climb up better so she could get closer but Sho wouldn't let her…so she tried again…but there was too much red for her to move. She turned the brush around and poked Sho with it. There. That would show him.
"You really are pretty, Sho, Mukai is right." Said Mob as she took the brush from Mukai's hand and turned it around. She was too little to know what she was doing. That was why she had pretty much painted the whole right side of Sho's face with blush…and not the kind that went with his coloring either. He had red hair, he needed pink, but not a very bright pink but more like a natural pink. Mob knew, she had looked it up. She knew that Sho didn't like this game so she was going to make him at least look as pretty as possible.
That way at least he would feel good about himself for being pretty….well maybe he didn't care about that…but she did.
"…just finish so I can get this stuff off of my face." Said Sho as baby sis poked him in the eye. He was so glad that he wasn't a girl. If he had been a girl then he would have had to do this every single day. He didn't know how girls could stand it…and he didn't know what was wrong with their own faces and stuff that they needed to do stuff like this. Big sis did it, mom had done it, and even Emmy was starting to wear makeup. Baby sis was going to end up doing stuff like this too…
He would ever understand girls…even if he lived to be a million years old he would never be able to understand girls.
"Alright…..I'm almost done. I don't know about Mukai, though." said Mob
"Not done! Sho pretty! Now!" said Mukai
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm pretty." Said Sho. He was pretty….pretty annoyed. He didn't know why they didn't just do this to each other. Big sis was always asking him to play this with her…and he kind of owed her for what happened. All the lying and stuff. So he just let her put stuff on his face. She seemed like she was almost done. She had used up most of the stuff that she had put on the counter. Sho didn't know what half of this stuff was even supposed to do and he didn't care. He just wanted this to be done.
The things he did for love.
He loved his sisters so that was why he went through this. It wasn't like he was even doing anything. He just had to stand there and let them do their thing. They were the ones doing all the work…and maybe this would be so much work that they got tired and left him alone for the rest of the day. Not that he didn't want to hang out with them, he did, he just….wanted to hang out with them as a boy. He knew what was going to come next. Big sis was going to pick out a dress for him to wear over his clothes and then his transformation into Shoko would be complete and then big sis and little sis could pretend that he was middle sis. He didn't really want to be middle sis though.
He wanted to be Sho.
He sometimes did want to be a girl. Not so that he could wear dresses and makeup and pinchy shoes. No, he wanted to be a girl so that…well so that he could like who he liked. Those feelings hardly ever came though, the ones where he wanted to be a girl. He didn't really need to be a girl for the guys he liked to like him back. He just…needed to be someone else. That someone didn't have to be Shoko though, he could still be Sho.
Just not Suzuki Sho.
The Suzuki part was the problem. Dad…well dad was gone…but he could always come back. He was hanging out with Hatori and Hatori was always asking big sis about what was going on. That was dad being nosy. Even from the other side of the world he was being nosy so that he could be bossy. Sho knew that nothing was stopping him from running away and being with Ritsu…or telling Shimazaki that he loved him and that he would wait until he was old enough for them to be together….but there also….was something stopping him. Dad was always around even if he wasn't and he knew what big sis had said, he knew that she would protect him from dad…but she couldn't watch dad twenty four hours a day. Sho…he knew that he being stupid…being afraid of someone who was on the other side of the world…
Maybe he was just stupid.
"Shinies. Shinies for Sho." said Mukai as she pointed over to the shiny things that were just out of reach. She held out her hand and tried to grab it with her colors like Sho did…and she couldn't…and it just wasn't fair!
"Don't get upset, Mukai, here. We can put glitter on Sho. We can put all the glitter in the world on him." said Mob. She saw what Sho's aura did there….and she didn't mean to make him upset. She just knew how Mukai could get when she got frustrated. She had been trying to get the body glitter from the other side of the counter by using her powers…powers that she was still too little to use. Mob knew that look, the one on Mukai's face, she used to see it on Sho's face all the time.
She didn't want to see it on Mukai's face.
Mukai must have had powers. She had come from dad and dad was the most powerful esper in the world so, of course, all of his kids would be powerful. She had been born with her powers. Dad had told her that he had known, since the day he'd met her, that she was an esper. Sho had taken longer to get his powers and even when he had managed to get them they still hadn't been enough to make dad happy…so he had to go into an Awakening machine. Mob…she couldn't remember exactly what had happened. She knew that she had found Sho….and then….and then there had been a lot of screaming…and then the next thing she knew she had woken up in a strange bed in a strange room in a strange country. She didn't know exactly what had happened to Sho but she did know the aftermath…
And she could not let that happen to Mukai.
She didn't want Mukai to end up feeling like Sho had felt. He had told her, before, that he felt like she had been born right and he had been born wrong. She had been born with her powers and he hadn't…but that didn't mean anything. She bet that if he had waited until they were both adults or something that he would have caught up with her…but he hadn't wanted to wait. He had asked to be put into an Awakening machined and dad….well dad had done as Sho asked….and now Sho was scared of water and covered in scars and sometimes he even wet the bed. Mukai…well she liked the water and she only had that one scar on her face….and sometimes she wet the bed too but she was two and that was normal and…and she was enough like Sho as it was.
Mob…she loved Sho…but she didn't want Mukai to end up like him….she didn't want dad to put her little sister into an Awakening machine like he had her little brother.
"All the glitter! All the glitter!" shouted Mukai. She took the brush and threw it at Sho. Now he got all the shiny glitter!
"Yay….all the glitter…." Said Sho. Baby sis was so happy…he couldn't just go and spit all over her parade. She was happy and that was what mattered the most. Fukuda had said so. He had said that it didn't matter how Sho felt, it just mattered that he made the girls in his life happy…and he was trying his best…not that he cared what Fukuda said. Fukuda had made him lie to big sis. Baby sis…she had been one of his biggest secrets…and now she was here. She was here and she was ok. Fukuda had told him that the Seventh Division had been the best place for baby sis.
He had been wrong.
This was the best place for baby sis. She was here with her family. She had a brother and a sister that loved her very much and…and she had more toys here and…and she had windows and a yard and other kids to play with…well he and big sis anyway. They were still kids….even if he didn't feel like it. They may have been ten years older than her but they were her brother and sister and they were kids and they were going to play with her…he was going to play with her even though he didn't like this game very much. He couldn't wait for Shimazaki to get up. He had been up all night at a party, he had said, and he needed to sleep it off….even though it was the afternoon. When he got up then he and Sho could do something fun like going to the dog park or sawing off stop signs or taking fish from people's aquariums and setting them free in the ocean.
The sort of thing that his sisters didn't like.
He kind of wished, maybe, that he'd gotten a little brother instead of a little sister. A little brother would have been more like him. A little brother would have liked to do the kind of stuff that he and Shimazaki did. Baby sis…well she could be fun…but also she was little and cried a lot. Big sis…well she didn't like fun stuff like he and Shimazaki liked. If he had a little brother instead of a little sister then…well then things could have been….easier…
Not that he didn't love both of his sisters, he did, but he just…it would have been alright if he had a little brother…
"Big brother pretty! Sho pretty!" said Mukai
"You really are….I mean I know that you don't want me to say it but you really are pretty….I mean you would have been if you had been a girl." Said Mob as she tried her best to blend the glitter into Sho's eye shadow. Mukai…well she was just kind of spreading it on the front of Sho's shirt…and Mob knew that she should have told Mukai how to do it right but she was only two and she didn't know how to do things right. Mob didn't want to make her feel bad. She wasn't going to try and make Mukai think that she had to do things that she wasn't capable of doing.
She wasn't going to be like dad.
Dad had expected Sho to be like her back when he had been too young to even use his powers. That was what had caused…a lot of problems…when she looked back at how things had been when she and Sho had been little. Back when Sho and her had fought all the time…back when Sho hit her and yelled at her…a lot of it had been because Sho had been jealous of her. Dad knew...and he hadn't stopped. He knew that he was making Sho feel bad but he didn't stop….well he was gone now. She was the one in charge and there would be no jealousy in this house.
But there would, however, be glitter. A lot of glitter.
"Yeah, pretty annoyed. Come on, finish already so we can play something else." Said Sho
"What do you want to play after this? It's not that hot out so we can play hit the birdie again…or we could go to the trampoline place…or we could-" said Mob
"Games?" asked Mukai. She put down the brush and held out her hands. He held out her hands at the both of them…but they didn't give her their phones?! Why?!
"But Mukai, we're in the middle of this." said Mob. She was inly halt done. If Sho'd had to sit through all of this then he at least should have finished. Then he could have looked pretty…though he might not have cared about that…at least not as much as she did.
She couldn't wait until Mukai was older.
She was too little, now, to sit still. She liked to run around and get into things and break them…all kinds of stuff like that. She didn't like to sit still and get makeup put on her…and she didn't like to try on clothes anyway….even though she was so cute! She and Minori had gotten so much cute stuff for her to wear but she had just wanted to play in the shopping bags….well Mukai was little. Things would be easier when she got older and she could talk better and she could sit still and understand things.
But right now she was the way she was and Mob was not going to try and make her into someone she wasn't. Mob was Suzuki Shigeko, not Suzuki Touichirou.
"Games now please!" said Mukai. She held out her hands and shook them. Sho always gave her games. Sho was her favorite of the new people.
"But-" said Mob
"Here you go, baby sis, go nuts." Said Sho as he handed baby sis his phone. She took it and held it to her chest like she thought that he was going to take it back at any second. He wouldn't have done something like that. He was her brother and he loved her…and now that she had his phone he had to go and watch her while she had it. She liked to click around and open every app. She had even managed to find his secret pictures folder where he had all of those pictures of Shimazaki sleeping….he was so glad she was too little to know what she had been looking at.
But nobody in the house was as little as she was…and if someone else found his secret pictures folder then they would have known what they had been looking at…so really he had to get this stuff off of his face and watch baby sis.
"Sho….we were in the middle of this." said Mob as she reached over and tried to stick Sho's hair down. He reached up and pushed her hand away. Well then that meant game over…and she had wanted to do his hair….but he didn't want to play and she wasn't going to be bossy. He had told her over and over again that she was bossy…and she was…but only about the kind of stuff that mattered….and the Shoko game didn't matter.
Well it did…but not as much as the important things in life…so she would let this go.
"Well can we be done, then? Can you gut this stuff off of my face?" asked Sho as he pulled his sleeve down over his hand and tried to wipe all the makeup off. Big sis reached up and pulled his sleeve down.
"Um…ok….I guess. If you want to." Said Mob as she got Sho's hand away from his face. He was just going to dig all of that into his skin and that wasn't good for him. He already had some spots up on top of his eyebrows. She didn't want him to end up looking like she did. She called over her makeup remover wipes, the ones for extra sensitive skin, and started to get to work. She may have gone a little heavy on the…everything…but she didn't get to do this that often.
And she had never done this with Mukai before either.
Teaching someone how to put makeup on was a very important thing, one of the most important things, that a person could learn…well that a girl could learn. Mob wasn't going to let Mukai end up like she had. When she had met Minori she had been like a little kid. She had never even tried putting on makeup before and she got all of her clothes from the Disney Store. Well she still got a lot of her clothes from there but she went to other stores, ones that sold things other than Disney stuff, and she looked…almost normal. Minori had said that she was looking more like a second grader and less like a first grader…so that was progress. Maybe by the time she was done growing up she would end up looking like a sixth grader…like she was supposed to look right now….
She was not going to let Mukai end up like her.
She wiped off more of Sho's makeup. She could see more of his freckles…she didn't have any but he did. Mukai had freckles too. Mom hadn't had any…so Mob took after her. She glanced at herself in the mirror. She didn't think she looked like mom…genetics were weird like that. She got all the Japanese and Sho got all the half. Mukai looked more mixed though. She looked like dad would have looked like if he had been a half Korean girl instead of a half Japanese boy. Mob…she wondered what her kids would look like…what her daughter would look like. She hoped that she had a daughter….but boys were ok too…but it would have been nice if she ended up having a lot of girls. She would teach them all the things that mom had forgotten to teach her…like how to put on makeup and pick out clothes and about what to do when your skin was bad and when you got your period and when you got weird feelings about boys. Mob knew that she would do a better job with her daughters than mom had done with her.
And she knew that she would do a good job with Mukai too.
"I do…but come on. Don't be like that." Said Sho as big sis tried to rub all the skin off of his face. She looked sad, her aura was doing that thing again, and her eyes were all far away looking. He knew that he should have just been happy that he had managed to make his sister happy, both of them, and he knew that what he wanted didn't matter….but he wanted it to mater. He wished that what he felt and thought and wanted mattered…but that was not at all how this worked. He just…he knew that wishes didn't come true even if you folded two thousand paper cranes…and that was ok.
He had made big sis happy and he had made Mukai happy…and instead of thinking about himself he should have just focused on soaking up all of the happiness around him.
"Like what?" asked Mob as she used her powers to toss the used makeup wipe into the garbage can next to Mukai. Mukai looked up at her and then back down at Sho's phone. Based on the sounds Mob could tell that Mukai was using up Sho's five free candy crush plays…but that was ok. New plays didn't cost that much and…well she knew that Hatori had said that wasting money on mobile games was stupid….but also she had more money than she could even count so it was ok. Everything was ok so long as she made her brother and sister happy.
That was what a good big sister did….and she knew that she was a good big sister.
Even if she could be a little bit selfish sometimes….like she had been now. She knew that Sho didn't like this…but she liked it…and Mukai had liked it….but she shouldn't have been so selfish. She loved Sho and she loved Mukai…and she loved herself….but she had to think about other people. She had to put other people first all the time. If she didn't then…well then they would want to leave. Mom had left…maybe because Mob hadn't done enough. She hadn't done enough to take care of her family. She had left so much to mom and…and she knew that mom hadn't left because of Mukai…she knew how to do some math…and she knew that mom hadn't left because of Sho since he had always been her favorite….and she knew that it hadn't been dad since he had never been home in the first place and he hadn't had Mukai yet either…so it must have been her…
But she could learn from her mistakes…and she knew that she had to work harder at being less selfish…she had been such a selfish kid….but she wasn't that person anymore.
"All sad and stuff. I played this stupid game with you guys so quit being so sad." Said Sho. If his sister was sad then what was the point of even going through all of that. She was doing that thing, now, where she tried to act like everything was ok. He could tell when things weren't. He knew her. He had known her his whole life…and maybe he should have just let her finish and put him in a dress…even though he knew that she could have just given Mukai her phone so she would sit still and then Mukai could have been Shoko and he could have had his phone back.
Good thing Mukai was just playing games and not going into his secret pictures folder.
"I'm not being sad…I just…like playing this with you I guess. I like making you look pretty." Said Mob as she went up to Sho's eyes. She had maybe gone too heavy on the eyeliner…because now he looked like a raccoon. She wasn't going to laugh at him, no, she just smiled. She locked eyes with him in the mirror. He was frowning now.
"Well then make Mukai look pretty. She's actually a girl." Said Sho as he made eye contact with big sis in the mirror. He felt something poking at his aura…baby sis was looking up at him.
"Playing games. Over there." said Mukai. She held up the phone…she liked the colors and music game….Seri had better games though. She got up. She was going to go and find Seri now.
"She can't sit still for that long." Said Mob as Mukai got up and walked away. Mob wasn't worried, Mukai's mom was in the house, and she didn't know how to open the front door yet. She'd be fine. The worst that was going to happen was she drew on the walls again but that didn't matter. She could always just have the walls repainted. Mom had always gotten upset when she and Sho drew on the walls….and Mob didn't get it…but there were a lot of things about mom that she knew that she would never get.
"Just give her your phone and she'll sit still for hours." Said Sho as baby sis walked away. She was probably going back to the candy stash he'd left under her bed for her. Mukai's mom was so weird about candy and soda and stuff. Well he wasn't going to let his sister suffer. The last thing he wanted was for either of his sisters to suffer or be unhappy in any way.
"I don't know if looking at screens all day is good for her. You ever noticed how…energetic…she gets if she watches too much TV?" asked Mob. She could hear Mukai running around….and she hoped that Mukai didn't have the screen crazies…or the sugar crazies. There was no way for her to hurt herself…too badly…..Mob felt out with her aura…she seemed fine….happy even. She was in the bedroom…and she had noticed Mob…and now she was coming back.
"Yeah, and it's a good thing. It means that she wants to exercise and run around and stuff." Said Sho. Baby sis was running around getting her energy out. That was good. If she ran around that meant that she would sleep better later and if she slept better later then she wouldn't wake him up at five in the morning trying to get to the top bunk…he felt around with his aura…she was in their room…and he really hoped that she wasn't planning on trying to get into his bed again.
"She gets into things, though, and she hurts herself…and it's not good for me to watch her twenty four hours a day. Nobody likes being followed around…we didn't when we were her age…well a little older…but still." Said Mob. Mukai was running around and laughing, running fast….she was coming back it felt like…and that was ok. That was better. Mob…she knew that she needed Mukai to have freedom….but she also kind of wished that Mukai was too little, again, to know how to crawl let alone walk and run.
"So do I but you still love me." Said Sho
"I never said that I didn't love you, I love both of you, I just don't love when she goes crazy and she always goes crazy when she has too much screen time and sugar…like her mom said." Said Mob. Her? Not love Sho…it sounded like he had just said that he thought she didn't love him…but she did. She loved him and she loved Mukai and…and she knew how to take care of them. She knew that she knew how to take care of her own siblings…but she had to admit that Tsuchiya had a point about stuff…having been the person who took the most care of Mukai….not that Mob had even been given the chance….
"Hey!" said Sho. She was digging her nail into the side of his eye. He reached up and took the makeup wipe thing from her hand and threw it on the floor. Mukai walked back in and put it in the can.
"In there! Over there!" said Mukai. She hadn't been able to find Seri but she found books…and also the thing on the floor. Trash went in the trashcan. Mama said so. Her mama, not Sho's mama.
"Thank you Mukai…and sorry, Sho. I didn't mean to…and I just….I'll be more gentle from now on." Said Mob. She got out another makeup wipe and went to work on Sho's other eye.
"Sorry! Sho mama sorry! Over there!" said Mukai. She held the book close and pointed to Sho's mom. She was sorry. Over there. She was sorry for taking Sho's colors away. Colors. Colors on Sho and colors in Sho's book. Colors everywhere….that was a good book.
"I'm sorry too…that we were fighting. I hate it when we fight." Said Sho
"I hate it too…but we weren't fighting. I was just saying that it doesn't matter if baby sis goes crazy and you were disagreeing with me for some reason. I don't know why. Look. She went crazy and she's fine now….she has one of my sketchbooks…but she's fine now." Said Sho. He pointing over to Mukai. She had one of his sketchbooks…but she didn't have any crayons…so she was ok.
"But she always cries so much, too, and yells and stuff….and I don't like it when she gets upset." Said Mob
"Well then play this with Emmy when she comes to live with us." Said Sho before he could think about what he had said. Big sis stopped wiping his face, her hand was stopped over his eye. Mukai was out of view. He could only see her now…and what did she have to look so shocked about? She…she knew the truth….but also she knew how dad was and…and she knew…she knew that Sho didn't have it in him to break anyone's heart.
"…she's coming to live with us?" asked Mob as she stopped wiping down Sho's face. That was…he could not just add people to the house without asking her, first of all, and second of all….he just…he had said, before, that he didn't even love her…and now she was coming to live with them? No way….Sho…he just…Mob knew that if she had been someone's girlfriend and that someone didn't even like girls at all then she would have wanted to have been informed and not lied to…Sho had been lying a lot lately…..
"No…I mean yes…I mean…when we're grown up….get back to work. I don't know. Don't ask me about the future." Said Sho. Big sis was looking at him…and she still wasn't getting back to work…and he had no idea why the hell she wasn't getting back to work. He had said that he didn't want this stuff on his face anymore and she had said that she would get it off so just….she needed to get it off already!
"Sho…I don't know what's going on in your head or your heart….and I know that you don't want me to get involved-" said Mob
"Then don't." said Sho
"But I think that if you don't love her-" said Mob
"I think that you should get back to work." Said Sho. He poked her in the side. She still wasn't moving….and he still couldn't see out of one eye. He reached up and took her hand off of his eye. She was making that face like she was thinking really hard…and she looked sad…and he had no idea what she had to look sad about. She wasn't the one who had to get married to someone who loved him more than anything and anyone else in the world.
"Work now." Said Mukai. She reached into her overalls and pulled out a phone. She hit the wake up button and put it on the book. There was a picture of Sho's mama there and a picture of Sho's mama in the book. Pictures belonged with pictures that matched like in the matching game.
"Sho….I am. I just….I wish that…this is none of my business. I know that this is none of my business and…and I love you and…" said Mob
"Yeah, I love you too….and it is none of your business. Why do you have to care so much about this? It's not your problem. Don't you have enough to do as it is? Like getting all of this shit off of my-" said Sho. He knew that he should have been more careful about curing in front of baby sis…and he knew that he should have been nicer to big sis…but she was getting into his business again and he had no idea why she wanted to! She had a lot to do as it was and…and this was his business and…and he had never been so happy to hear his phone ringing in his entire life.
Even though he knew who was calling.
It was the same person who always called. He knew that it was Emmy. She was eight hours behind him…so it was the middle of the night for her…which meant that she couldn't sleep. Sometimes she called him when she couldn't sleep because the sound of his voice made her feel all warm and safe and stuff….sort of like how it was easy to fall asleep next to Ryou. When Ryou smoked with him and everything got kind of slow and warm….and Ryou told him stories about when he had been a kid….and it was just…the best way to fall asleep….
Love sucked sometimes.
"Your phone's ringing." Said Mob. Mukai had Sho's phone in her hand…and then she reached into her overalls…and pulled out another phone….and the cellphone full of candy that Mob had gotten her when they went shopping….and now she pulled out Sho's DS….and another phone….Mob maybe needed to watch Mukai better.
"I know….it's not important." Said Sho. He did not want to talk to Emmy right now. If he talked to her then he would feel guilty and if he felt guilty then he was going to get mad and…and yeah. He didn't want to get mad at his sisters. He didn't want to get mad today. He was here with his sisters and…and they were happy….and he had to be happy too….
And if he wanted to be happy then he was going to have to ignore his girlfriend.
"But…." Said Mob. She didn't think that Sho was being very nice right now….and she didn't want him to…to be that sort of person. She hadn't raised him to be that sort of person…and…and she knew that she wasn't actually mom but…but she knew that if she ever had a son, she probably would, she would not have wanted her son to treat his girlfriend like this. Emmy…well all Emmy had ever done was love Sho and to love someone was one of the most…wonderful….things that one person could do for another….and she knew that this was none of her business…
But also she knew that she was not ok with this.
"Here. Say hello. Say hello now!" said Mukai. She picked up the loud phone and put it in Sho's hand…but he wasn't saying hello! When people called you were supposed to say hello! Mama had said so!
"I…will….I mean I won't…I mean…um….oh, look, it went to voicemail. Too late now….anyway…big sis, get back to work." Said Sho. He put his phone into his coat pocket. He would text Emmy back later that he had been busy with sis sisters and stuff. Yeah, he could milk that excuse for a while and then once she stopped believing that then he could just tell her that he got hit by a car and went into a coma…or he got lost in the woods…or that he hit his head and got amnesia…she would believe that…right?
"Sho…um….I should figure out who's phones these are. How about you…you just…use these to get the stuff off of your face. We don't have to play the Shoko game anymore…um….come on, Mukai." Said Mob. She loved her brother. She would always love her brother. She couldn't think of a little brother who she would have loved more than Sho…well if Mukai had been born a boy instead of a girl….she didn't want to think about that. She just wanted to think about how much she loved her brother and how much…how much she would always love her brother…even when he went and did things like this. Even when he ignored a girl who loved him. Mob…she would have done anything to get Teru back…to get to be his girlfriend….to have a boy who loved her….and it hurt to just…sit there and watch Sho throw away…to watch him throw away the greatest gift that one person could give another…
She was starting to think mean thoughts and…and she had to get out of here and…and she had to get these phones back to their owners…so that was what she was going to do. Right now.
"Fine…leave me alone then…" said Sho as big sis took Mukai by the hand, picked up the phone from the ground, and walked away. She had left is sketchbook…he picked it up with his powers before it got ruined. This was one of his normal ones, just pictures of big sis and their friends, not the one with pictures of Shimazaki. He had lost that one a while ago. This was normal and…and that was good. He didn't know how he would have explained his all Shimazaki notebooks to baby sis…and big sis…
He didn't know how he would explain any of this.
Big sis had said that she had no idea what went on in his heart and his head…and sometimes he didn't know either. His phone vibrated…he'd gotten a text. He needed to…to reply to that…but he would figure it out. He would figure out all of this…once he got the makeup off and put his sketchbook back…he would…figure this out…but later…after this was done. After he was done playing the Shoko game…
He wasn't a fan of this game, or cleaning up afterwards, but…well what he wanted didn't matter….the only thing that mattered was how happy he made other people…how they felt…and if other people were happy then he was happy too.
Even when he kind of…wasn't.
