Brain dragged his feet as Ashley and Pinky skipped ahead, staring in awe and wonder at the roller coasters and Ferris wheels. As much as Brain hated to admit it, Ashley was right that he and Pinky needed to spend more time together. Mainly since he was always trying to take over the world, and he would be busy playing games with Ashley or just be watching hilarious videos or soap operas.
*Well, she's right. But why make an entire day on this!?* Brain thought as Pinky pointed out a roller coaster. "Yeah! Let's go on that one first!" Ashley exclaimed. Brain visibly looked terrified. The roller coaster was probably 40 feet high, but why were Ashley and Pinky overly excited?
Something caught his attention. It was an amethyst. Not only that, but the last ingredient for his most recent world domination plan!
He knew if he conquered the world on the one day Pinky would love besides their birthdays, Pinky would be horribly hurt by it.
"Braaiiin! Come on, slowpoke!" It was Ashley calling for him. Brain quickly snatched the amethyst and followed them, quickly sneaking it into a bag he had brought.
Later...
Brain knew he was being impatient, but the sun was starting to go down and he wanted to show Pinky the "present" he got for him. That was the only logical plan he could think of.
his plan was to have the amethyst be a "present" for Pinky, giving him the chance to get it back to the lab so he could power his machine for world domination!
If he could keep Pinky from seeing it. Ashley could see it for sure, but not Pinky.
Would it work? He hoped it would, or it wouldn't be just the day in jeopardy.
Ashley wondered if Brain would join them on something. He was probably getting something for Pinky if anything.
The roller coaster landed finally, and like Ashley thought, Brain was standing mere inches away.
"Bout time we ran into you." Ashley muttered, watching as Pinky stumbled around in a daze.
"Is he okay?" Brain asked, more with concern than with annoyance. "Yeah he's fine." Ashley said.
Brain sighed in relief. He had gone more soft on Pinky than he's ever had. Ashley liked it, but him freaking out for random reasons was slowly annoying her.
Yet she still cared about them a lot.
Later, the group was at the lab again, where Ashley had proclaimed they exchange gifts. Surprisingly, Pinky had given him a new chalkboard for world domination plans. Brain knew the amethyst was his gift, but it was also the only thing he needed for world domination.
That's when he remembered something...he had already put the amethyst in the machine! The machine turned on out of nowhere, startling all three of them.
"Isn't that the thing that'll move the constellations?!" Ashley asked, panicked and attempting to turn it on. "U-uhm y-yeah! H-how'd that turn on?" Brain stammered nervously, already knowing his plan was blown.
Ashley finally managed to turn it off, but was cut off by Pinky, who didn't sound very happy. "You tried to take over the world on the best day ever?!" He said angrily, cutting Brain from explaining. "I-it's not like that! I was going to give it to you, but realized it could power the Constellation Mover! I didn't wanna power it today! I was gonna explain what it's power was to you tomorrow and make my dream come true! Isn't that what you want for me?" Brain explained, desperate to at least make an effort to comfort Pinky.
It didn't work, to put it one way.
"You promised that you wouldn't try and take over the world! You used my own present just for your own needs! I can't believe you!" Pinky said, tears slowly forming. Pinky turned to walk out of the cage, but Brain tried to stop him, grabbing his hand to try and stop him.
"Please Pinky! Besides Ashley, your my only family! I need you!" Brian said desperately. "I don't care! If the world wants you dead one day, don't come crying to me. Cause I'm not gonna be here to save you." Pinky said coldly and angrily, running out of the cage, the tears he was holding back finally falling.
The only thing he left behind was an incredibly shocked Ashley and a broken-hearted, devastated Brain.
So I read Iloveunicorn2003's Fake A Smile and got the tiniest bit inspired from chapter 4.
So thank you Iloveunicorn2003 for inspiring me. I cried for both Pinky and Brain in that.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed that chapter! Next one will come soon!
