Hey guys! Welcome to the last chapter of the story, but the next story will be out soon! I'm so excited to write more about this story. :D
Most of my Dino Fury stories will centre around Javi as he barely got any focus this season :(
The team arrived back at the base and found Izzy hovering anxiously over Javi, holding his hand who was still unconscious while Solon tapped the screens of equipment that surrounded Javi
"hey, Izzy" Amelia greeted her friend and gave her a hug "how is he?"
"well, the good news is that Javi was mainly injected with a sedative, so he just has to sleep it off" Izzy gave them a forced smile, her eyes brimming with tears
"I'm sensing a but..." Ollie interjected and Izzy sighed heavily
"there's...another substance that Solon can't identify. I'm worried that it might cause him harm"
"don't worry, Javi's strong!" Amelia assured her friend and pulled her in for a hug
"welcome back every-Aiyon?!" Solon said turning around freezing when she saw Aiyon with a rueful grin
"hey Solon!" he gave her a small wave as she rushed towards him and pulled him in for a hug
"I'm so relieved you're alive!" she cried and Aiyon patted her back
"wow, Javi has a lot of tattoos," Ollie said, looking at the tattoos that painted Javi's arms
"is it some of rite of passage on earth? On Rafkon, we also get tattoos when we come of age" Zayto asked and pulled up his sleeves, to show 3 tattoos, one of a T-rex, one was of a dinosaur head of a lightning bolt through it (Ryusoulger symbol) and the last one was a sword
"wow Zayto, I didn't know you got tattoos!" Amelia exclaimed and looked at the tattoos
"I got this one" he pointed to the sword "when I became a knight, and this one..." he then pointed to the dinosaur head "was when I was of age, it is the symbol of our planet and this last one..." he then pointed to the T-rex "was when I landed on earth and fought the Sporix beasts, since my partner was a T-rex, I got a T-rex tattoo"
"wow," Ollie said in amazement
"Hey guys, don't tell my dad that Javi got tattoos" Izzy interrupted "he...kinda doesn't know he has them"
"Is that why he always wears long sleeves?" Ollie asked and Izzy nodded
"hey guys?" Aiyon asked and the group turned around, not noticing that he had wandered away "why are there lizards in a tank?" he pointed to where two lizards; one brown and one a light grey.
"oh, they're mine!" Zayto said, walking over and pointing to the brown one "that one is named Kiwi, after my new favourite earth fruit" Zayto said then pointing to the grey said "and that one is called shadow since he doesn't like being seen much"
"so, how did you get them?"
"oh we got them for Zayto, to keep him and Solon company when we're not here" Amelia piped up
*flashback*
Amelia and Izzy were walking to the park to meet with the others, unfortunately, Javi wasn't able to join them as Jane needed him at Buzzblast, they were walking and making small talk when Amelia said "I was thinking, maybe we should get Zayto a pet of some kind, so he can have some company besides Solon when we're not in the base,"
"but it has to be an easy pet to take care of" Izzy pointed out
"hey guys!" Ollie said as he joined them "what are we talking about?"
"getting Zayto a pet so he can have company when we're not in the base"
"how about a fish?" Ollie suggested and Izzy immediately shook her head
"no! We cannot get a fish"
"why?" Amelia asked
"because we used to have a fish named Goldie, but she died and Javi was heartbroken. He couldn't walk past the pet shop for months without crying. And he no longer eats seafood because the fish could have been a 'relative' of Goldie's"
"Okay...so no fish," Ollie said, slightly weirded out
"Ohh, how about a lizard? They could help Zayto remember the dinosaurs!" Amelia suggested
"that's a good idea. I remember seeing some lizards on sale the other day when I went there with my friends" Izzy said
"great! Let's surprise Zayto, let Javi know" Ollie said and the girls nodded when their communicators suddenly went off, alerting them to a Sporix
*flashback end*
"interesting" Aiyon said
"yes, they do fascinate me," Zayto said
"and it's nice not being the only reptile around here!" Solon added and the rangers laughed lightly
"so, how long will it take for Javi's injuries to heal?" ollie asked
"I'm afraid that even with your ranger healing, it will still take several weeks for Javi to completely heal," Solon said sadly and the team looked downcast
"We can say that Javi got injured protecting Amelia during the attack, but we have to take him to the hospital to make it believable," Izzy said and the others agreed, so Amelia and Izzy took him to the hospital while the boys went to get Ayion some clothes to blend in.
It didn't take long for the warden to hear that his son was injured and taken to hospital, by the time he arrived he was being treated by Izzy's mom; Carmen who was a nurse.
"How is he?" Izzy asked her mother worriedly as her dad came up to them
"well, his injuries don't seem too excessive, some of them looked quite healed" Carmen said frowning in confusion
"uhh, one of the rangers used a key of some sort, he looked a lot worse before. The rangers must have healed him" Amelia stumbled with the lie and Carmen nodded
"I wouldn't be surprised. The amount of key those rangers have is unknown with amazing abilities" she shook her head and continued to read of stats, most of which was positive, meaning that Javi would be fine "except...there seems to be some sort of strange substance in Javi's blood, we've taken it to the lab to analyze"
"will Javi be ok?" Izzy asked worriedly, Carmen smiled assuringly and placed a hand on her daughter's shoulder
"don't worry honey. Javi's strong, but I'm afraid he'll be bedridden while his leg heals"
"wh-what's wrong with his leg?" Amelia asked worriedly, Solon didn't mention anything about his leg
"he appears to have torn a muscle, don't worry, I stitched it up, but he's going to have to rest it for a few days"
"phew" Izzy sighed and Amelia hugged her
"so, Javier will be fine?" her dad asked her and Carmen nodded
"yes, he should be discharged either tonight or tomorrow, depending on when he wakes up" the trio breathed a sigh of relief and carmen kicked them out of the hospital, saying that Javi would recover faster if he wasn't being helicoptered by three people, so they went on their way. The warden continued on his patrol but made sure to ask if both Izzy and Amelia were ok first, once he left the girls went back to the base to meet the boys.
"Hey guys, what do you think of Aiyon's outfit?" Ollie asked indicated to Aiyon standing next to Zayto. Aiyon was now wearing a white long-sleeve shirt underneath a brown t-shirt, black track pants.
"not bad," Amelia said giving them a nod of approval
"how's Javi?" Zayto asked them, concern written all over his face
"my mom says that he'll be ok. What has me really worried is they can't identify the substance in Javi either, but the good news is his leg will be mobile for a few weeks" Izzy told them
"it might be shorter than that thanks to the morphin' grids energy" Solon said and the rangers nodded in agreement when Ollie pointed out a problem
"We'll still be down a ranger. People are going to notice that the black ranger is missing and might link it back to Javi and figure out he's the black ranger."
"Even when he does heal physically, he'll still need time to heal mentally. We can't just assume he'll shake whatever just happened to him and be fine" Amelia added
"Ollie and Amelia are right." Solon said, "what Javi went through is beyond anything we could imagine. He will need time"
"we'll think of something" Zayto assured them "for now, let's focus on what Void Knight is planning next..."
THE END! I know this is kind of a dull ending, but the next story will be a one-shot, where the team figures out what to do now that they're one member short and get used to Aiyon's fighting style. I'm making him the lovable goofball that the team needs as they're all a bit too serious
I really want the next story to write about Aiyon's addition to the team and how the others adjust to him, so Javi won't be much of a focus for the next story, but after that, the next will mostly centre around him
As we've never seen or heard anything about Izzy's mum, it must mean she must work odd hours, like the Warden. So I'm making her a nurse and is always busy, especially since the Sporix beasts started to attack.
And the mum knows about Javi's tattoos since she was the one that took him (it was a bonding experience) ;), that's partially why she didn't allow the warden to see him.
