Ch-1
In a brightly lit room, a girl sat eagerly reading a book called 'Elemental Transfiguration' by an author named Glen Vaughn's. This girl was Ruby McStraint, an 11-year-old who, until a short time ago, had been unaware of magic.
This all had changed when a tall, stern but kind looking woman with grey hair tied in a tight bun, had dropped by with a life changing letter. In this was mentioned the fact that she was a witch- a girl with magic. She had been invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for her magical education. Of course, she had accepted.
Now she was busily reading up whatever she could learn about the wizarding world. There was a Do not Disturb sign on her door. Her table was messier than it had been in months. A dozen books were lying open.
Presently she heard her mum's voice outside her door. Her mum was a pretty, petite woman with auburn shoulder length hair and light brown eyes. She was saying that Ruby had to get ready to go back to Diagon Alley. She nearly fell out of her chair in her haste. She changed with lightning speed and was ready within the hour. She was practically jumping with joy.
It seemed like no time when she reached the road leading to the Leaky Cauldron. She had been to Diagon Alley once before, but hadn't carried enough money to buy everything. So, she had insisted that they go to the bookstore, Flourish and Botts and then to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.
Today they were returning to buy her wand, go to the Apothecary and the Owlery; she wanted an owl.
She beckoned to her parents to follow her; since she was a witch, she could see the Leaky Cauldron, but her parents, being Muggles, couldn't. Her excitement nearly burst out of her, she was ready to explode. Magic still thrilled her to no extent.
