This continues off from the story: A Conduit's Daze.
The world of Hekseville . It's not a regular world that's for sure. But this world is from a distant land, floating rocks, buildings, you name it.
A girl with light tan skin complexion wearing different clothing floated down the ground as she walked about. Her cat, shown with a space like skin, staring at his loyal friend as she smiled about. She walked towards a man, with a scar close to the side of his right eye and cheek, the man wore a Navy blue and white baseball shirt, navy blue pants, with white lines in different diagonal angles, Japanese Rikio tabi sports shoes, and what also is notable is his Amp, from his best friend that made the weapon.
The girl with the cheery smile and personality is Kat, the Gravity Queen and protector of Eto. The man with her with a small smile, is named Cole Macgrath. The Savior of New Maris. Or so it seems. How was he transported here? Was he reincarnated? Possibly, who knows.
Kat went from corner to corner, getting delicious snacks. No doubt that she's gourmand. First was a apple she finished up. Then drinking a beverage. Loving sweets and snacks as she goes. Cole stared at her, can't help but shake his head with a smile. The two were eating ice cream as Kat ate up the wafer cone. Kat turned to Cole, smiling at the Conduit as the two walked about, people of Hekseville greeting the two. They adapted well with Cole, from his performance during his time In Hekseville, he stopped a giant Nevi with a Ionic Ice, healing civilians that were injured with a healing pulse, helping those in need. Just like Kat, she does the same. Well except the healing part, wishing she could do that. Getting civilians to safety, taking down Nevi, making the best of what she can.
"Mmm. Something smells delicious. C'mon Cole!" Kat called to him as she already went to the direction of the food. Meat Skewers, Kat excitedly stared at the delectables as Cole was next to her.
"Is that…?" Kat stared at the delicious meat skewers as she excitedly stared at them. "Oh delicious, delicious food… How I've dreamed of you." She said as she smiled.
"Seems there's no stopping you, huh?" Cole replied, Kat couldn't help but smile. "Oh! Haven't seen you two before. Are you two interested in some meat skewers?" The man asked as he urges the two to buy some.
"We sell the best skewers in all of Jirga Para Lhao! Here, have one!" The man replied, Cole looked at the city of Jirga Para Lhao, the place was no doubt big but unfamiliar to him. Dusty and Cole stared at her for a moment. "Wish we could, but I'm a little broke. Sorry. I guess will have to go on somewhere else. Come on Cole." Kat muttered as Cole cocked his eyebrow in confusion of her slumping in disappointment.
"Sorry about that. Guess she really wants those meat skewers." Cole said as the man stared at her and Cole for a second. "Are you two on a date?" "Well, I guess you can say that." "Tell you what. How about a half off price? For you and your date? For the first skewers." Cole blushed as Kat's heart jumped.
"Half off!?" Kat stopped and turned around. She sped right next to Cole as she gave a shout. "Sold!" Cole couldn't believe what just happened. That's what he loved about her, her cheery nature never changed.
Ever since that night with Kat, he had the best experience of his life. A night that Kat will never forget. Cole looked at her. The tanned skinned shifter was about to enjoy her meal like a schoolgirl.
"Oh! I can't wait till I eat this!" Kat said to herself, Dusty sniffed at the meat as Kat shoved him away. "Finally, You and my stomach can be together." Kat spoke once more as she was about to eat her meat. Cole ate some of his as he listened to her speak. 'Kat is too much. She's… pretty adorable. Ah da*n it. Guess it can't be helped.' Cole thinks to himself as he sensed a disturbing presence.
All of the sudden, Nevi arrived as it wrecked havoc amongst the town. As the people took cover in the buildings and such, the shifter was this close to eating her meat. Kat and Cole dodged the attack as Kat tried to keep her meat skewers from dropping. As Kat went after her meat skewer up in the air, Cole shot a stream of lightning bolts at a few Nevi, one Nevi went after Kat as she was using her stasis field to save the meat.
Kat turned to the attackers as she jumped above Cole, kicking its weak spot. She punched and kicked with such style, Cole did the same, it's been a while since he used some of his moves back at Empire City as well. A somersault here and a flying kick there.
Taking down one by one, the duo pounded them like stuffed pillows, Kat twirling around in a handstand with such torque, Cole sliding right onto the Nevi as it was launched in the air, using his old school electric uppercut he used against the Reapers back home.
"Give… Me… Back… My-! Skewer?" Kat stopped for a moment as she and Cole spotted Syd on his hovercycle vehicle. "Kat! What are you doing?" Syd asked as Kat ran and kicked the Nevi out of the way.
"What does it look like? Fighting! I've got a meal to save!" She shouted as Cole battered up at three Nevi. "Exactly, honestly Syd, your timing couldn't be greater." Cole shouted as Kat stopped and spotted the meat skewer.
The Nevi made a huge mistake. The meat skewers fell on the ground. Kat gasped, she was saddened as Cole came to her. The Nevi stepped on the food as they came close to the two. Syd stared as he knew what was coming. Kat came towards the meat as she fell in defeat. She wasn't one to cry, but her love for food is bigger. Literally. The Nevi stared at her as if they were mocking her.
"My meat skewer… Cole… I… Our meat skewers are ruined. Those Nevi…" Kat yelled with all her might as she readied for combat. "This isn't fair! Give us back our skewers!" Kat charged with full force as she bashed at the Nevi with her martial arts moves.
"Whoa. Her other side must have kicked in." Cole said as his electric powers kicked in. The two bashed at the Nevi. Kat punched and kicked the Nevi once more with such force, Cole used his acrobatic advantage as he smashed the Nevi into pieces.
"You suckers made a grave mistake." Cole said as he Somersault at the Nevi, Kat and Cole kicked the same Nevi with powerful force, combining their powers. Cole and Kat split up as they took on the Nevi's that appear.
Cole thunder drops around five Nevi's as he swung his Amp with electrical force.
"Looks like your doing better than I expected, Electric Man." Another girl named Raven appears next to Cole. Her beautiful black and red hair, light blue eyes and sporting such a semi-revealing outfit. Her Space like guardian, a space like raven named Xii flew onto her shoulder.
"Good to see you, Raven." "Likewise, Macgrath." The two kicked the Nevi in a synchronized fashion as Cole froze them on their tracks.
"You know where Kat is?" Raven asked as Cole pointed the direction to where she's at. "She's over that section." He said as Raven nodded. The two turned to the Nevi, almost thawing out. Cole threw cluster grenades as Raven used her own Gravity Typhoon, combining the powers once more. The Nevi we're gone in a flash.
"Huh. You're right about combining our powers together. We should do this more often." Raven said with a smirk. "Be careful, alright?" Cole added as Raven patted his shoulder. "I know." Raven replied as she flew to Kat's direction. Cole turned to take on the rest of the Nevi, as they reduced in numbers, Cole felt a new surge of energy as he started to breathe. He used his cryo jump, but to his surprise, a new ability has awoken. Cole looked at the ground level as the Nevi stared at the Conduit, he was higher than ever. Now, he was flying! The same way he fought the beast. His thrusters had been adapted as it depends on how Cole can power his thrusters.
He could see Syd, riding his hover motor pad, Kat and Raven we're about to use their finishing move as Cole was about to do the same. Dark clouds were summoned as Cole mustered the energy. As soon as he does, Thunder comes down and strike the Nevi. One by one, huge thunderstorms wiped every single one. A loud boom was from Kat and Raven, Finishing off the Nevi. As everything settled, Cole made sure that the town wasn't damaged, he was glad that no one was hurt as he flew to Kat and Raven's position.
"Right now, your neither." Kat scolds Syd for helpless advice as Cole dropped from the sky from his new flying ability, Surprising the three. Kat ran towards Cole, hugging the conduit. Raven kept her composure as Syd looked up towards Cole.
"How did you get here?" Raven asked, "I flew actually. It just happened." Cole explained as Kat gasped in surprise. "Wha? And I missed it? Show us now!" Kat replied as Cole walked towards Syd and helped him up from Kat and Raven. The Conduit sensed something off. As he turned to its position, a giant floating Nevi appeared
"Another one?" Raven said as she and Kat readied themselves. "I got this one." Cole spoke as he gritted his teeth. Kat, Raven and Syd stared at the conduit as he gathered his powers and used his Cryokinetic energy to freeze it in place. For the finish, a huge thunder struck down the Nevi as it vanished into cryo particles.
'He's gotten even more powerful, Macgrath is amazing… Glad he's on our side.' Raven thinked to herself.
"That was Awesome!" Kat shouted as Raven chuckled, Syd smiled as the four stared at where the Nevi stood. "Right, now that's done, how about some more meat skewers? It's on me." Cole said as Kat cheered in excitement. "You coming?" Cole asked as Raven blushed. "Yeah. I'm in." Raven said as Syd stared at the three. Cole stopped for a moment as he walked towards Syd.
"You wanna join?" Cole asked as Syd was surprised of Cole's invitation. "Really? You sure?" "Yeah, hell I wouldn't mind having a chat with you." "In that case, do you drink also?" "Of course." The two went towards the shifters as they enjoyed their day.
"Wait… Cole, we can't get any more meat skewers." Kat said as Cole stopped for a moment. The trio stared at the conduit as the sound of the wind passed by
"Huh? Ah… Da*n… your right."
Night time has come as Cole and Syd walked about at Hekseville. They made it back from Jirga Para Lhao as Cole was about to head out, but decided to chat with the detective.
"No way, did he really?" "Yeah Syd, he decided that we nuke the b*stard, now just thinking about it, I was worried what would happen." "The town?" "Of course. Zeke isn't that dumb, he knew what to do." Syd and Cole chatted as they drank some wine.
"So before you go, I wanted to ask you." Syd spoke as Cole turned to him. "Go on ahead and ask away." Cole replied with a smile. "What's Kat to you? I don't wanna ask much but… I'm just curious." Syd asked as Cole stared at him dead on. He turned to the night sky, thinking of the question that Syd asked.
"She's… one of a kind. She's nice, heroic, really strong, she's more than that. Like I felt closer to her than I ever had." Cole answered as Syd stared at the sky, "So your in love with her." Syd said in a saddened tone. "Hey… is there something you want to add?" Cole asked as he turned to Syd as he changed his expression.
"No no no! Not at all, haha, it's not like-" "You care for her too. Syd, I'm not that dense. You know her more than I have, I met her since the competition in a different world." "That makes sense. To be honest, I feel jealous. But you know as long as your here, it makes Kat even more happy." "Thanks, I guess."
Cole drank the last bit as he sighed. "Syd, when I came here, you said you wished you had powers right?" Cole asked as Syd turned to the conduit, "Sure. I mean it would be awesome to fly around just like you guys. But it's like you said, it's a responsibility. I mean, I don't like being cowardly all the time but I have my own methods. How did you think I became a detective?" Syd said as Cole blinked for a moment. "As I said, but you know, I can use a sidekick." Cole added, teasing the silver haired man. "Ha Ha. Real funny." "Kidding. You would make a good hero. With the proper training and exercise, you can do much, just muster up your bravery and your good." Cole and Syd enjoyed their chatter as Aujean and Eugie walked towards the group.
"Well if it isn't the electric man. Where's that shifter girlfriend of yours, Eh?" Aujean asked as Cole shook his head in embarrassment. "She's at home, enjoying some company with Raven." Cole answered as Aujean chuckled a bit.
"Ever since you came here, everyone seems to adapt to ya, I'm amazed how you take on the Nevi and everything, but surely your not a shifter as well, are ya?" "I'm pretty sure, Aujean. Don't I need an animal to be one?" Cole asked as Eugie understood what Cole meant. "He's right, dad. No animal. But it would be cool, what animal would you have Mr. Cole?" Eugie spoke as Cole shrugged. "How about a wolf?" Syd asked as Cole thought about a wolf, "or maybe a lion or a bear?" Aujean asked as well, "Maybe a Raccoon?" Eugie asked as well as Cole shook his head from the three's choices of a guardian. A raccoon as his guardian, feels like it felt as if something felt familiar in his chest.
"It's fine anyways. I'm gonna head off, you three take it easy, alright?" Cole said as he ruffled Eugie's head and started to hover to get to Kat's home. "Alright Electric man, see you later." Aujean added as the three watched him head off. Cole flew towards the sewers as he wondered of his own guardian.
Cole had made it to the bottom as he made it to the sewer. He heard Kat's laughter as he started to come in.
Hearing Kat and Raven in the background, he stared at the sewer home as he blinked for a moment. Knowing that it was Kat's home, he never forget the rooftops he used to live, especially the sewers he had to travel to turn on the power for the city.
Kat's home was his home as well. As long as he was in good behavior. He slightly smiled as he was about to enter.
"I'm back." Cole called as Kat, Raven, Dusty and Xii turned to him. The first to greet him was Dusty as he floated to the Conduit's shoulder and nuzzled his cheek. Purring in a greeting matter. Kat went towards Cole, giving him a big hug. Xii flew near Cole as Raven stared at the Conduit. Smiling at the group, She decided to walk towards Cole and the others.
"How did it go with you boys?" Raven asked as Cole turned to her. "Swell. Just need to rest. Drank a lot of that wine." Cole said as Kat let go of the conduit. "You should bring some next time." "And let you get all tipsy and everything? I don't think so." Cole said sternly to Kat as she pouted. "Your saying I can't drink like you guys?" Kat asked with her pouting expression, Raven rolled her eyes at her childish behavior.
"No, wine can do alot to you. It's like… well not close to Beer, Liquor, or any alcoholic beverages. It's just when you get drunk, you do things that you never expect but you won't remember any of it." Cole explained as Kat and Raven stared with a dull expression.
"You sure?" Kat asked as Cole nodded. "I'm serious, you do anything to drink stuff like that in one gulp, I won't forgive myself to see you drunk." Cole said as Kat's expression softened. "Ok then." Kat said as Raven watched the two. "How cute. Anyways you missed out on some snacks. But now Kat just ate the rest." Raven said as Cole chuckled.
"Well, you oughta be careful Kitten or you'll gain some wei- I mean…" Cole stopped for a moment as Kat's eyes shot out, blushing in embarrassment as she turned to Cole in a different expression. "COLE! I'll have you know that I haven't gained weight! You dummy!" Kat shouted as Cole winced from the shouting, starting to puff her cheeks. Raven shrugged as she smacked Cole's shoulder playfully. "Nice one, Electric man." Raven added as Cole groaned at this.
"Sorry, the wine must have had an effect on me. What I said doesn't mean it could be bad." "How so?" "Well… it can have effects on certain body types. I just can't say right now." Cole explained to Kat as she thought about what he meant. It came to her in a quick ding as she blushed in embarrassment once more, feeling her hips slightly. Especially in front of Raven, knowing her she teased Kat even more. When Cole and Kat tied the knot together from the day Cole entered Hekseville, Raven herself teased the Gravity Queen even more than ever, not in a bad way, just for Raven's enjoyment. With Cole here, Hekseville has gotten even more lively.
The three enjoyed themselves as the two guardians watched over them. A disturbance occurred as Cole and the guardians sensed it. "Something's wrong." Raven spoke as Kat felt it too. "We better check it out Raven." Kat said as the two shifters readied themselves. They stopped for a moment as Cole sat on the side of the bed.
"You two should go. I'll be here waiting. I need to get sober from all this wine I drank." Cole said as Kat and Raven walked to him.
"Ok, will come back after this." Kat said as she kissed the conduit. "Alright. Be careful you two." Cole added, "We will. Let's go Kat." Raven said as she flew off, Kat followed as Cole sighed as he rested. "I'll come back soon, Cole. I love you." Kat said as She and Cole smiled. "I love you too, Kitten." Cole replied back as Kat flew off, blushing of hearing her nickname.
Raven stopped for a moment, she turned back to Kat's home and had a second thought. She floated back as she thought of her decision. "Raven?" Kat muttered as Raven returned to see Cole, the conduit was surprised to see her back as the black and red hair girl stared at him. Raven was about to tell Cole one last thing as she gripped her hands tightly.
"What's wrong?" Cole asked as Raven walked towards him. To his surprise, the black and red haired shifter held his face romantically as Cole's heart jumped in surprise. Without hesitation, Raven kissed the Conduit as she cupped his cheeks in a loving passion. "Cole. I promise I'll look out for her." Raven said as she stared at the conduit.
"Raven… I-" "You don't have to say anything else. I'll get going." Raven and Cole we're separated as the black and red haired girl went off. She flew next to Kat as she and the blonde haired girl went to the location of the disturbance.
Cole couldn't help but think that he had caught the affection of not just one shifter, but two. He blushed about the fact that Raven actually has feelings for the Conduit.
'Raven… she really had feelings for me after all. But with me and Kat… I don't want to hurt them both. And I don't intend to. Until then, if Raven is ready to talk with me and Kat about how she feels, then I'll be prepared.' Cole thinks to himself. He sighed as he laid back.
"Women." Cole said as he shook his head, smiled softly and rested. Looking at the photo of him and his newfound friends.
As the girls flew to the direction, Raven had a thought about Cole and Kat, how will this work for the three of them?
'Kat, I want to tell you, but I don't want to hurt both of you. I've fallen in love. With Cole. This man shows so much care of the world we live in, including you, Syd, Yunica, everyone he has met and helped. One day, I'll tell him how I feel, with you by my side. I want you to know as well. I want you to know… I love him equally as you do.' Kat blinked as she stared at Raven, smiling smugly, she decided to tease Raven for a bit.
Looking at the furniture, the conduit turned to the two photos. One was him, Kat, Raven, Syd, Aujean, Eugie, and a couple of people Kat has met. And a photo of Him, Trish and Zeke that he kept since Kesslers defeat. Looking at Trish's face, he can't help but think of Kat and Raven, just thinking of them is like seeing the two as Trish.
Kat has a caring affection, helping people in need, just like Trish. Raven has a mature and stern attitude, like Trish. The two shifters are strong and have a good heart, Cole promised to himself, he'll protect the two. By any means necessary.
A couple of minutes passed as he got up and went out of Kats home, he flew to the shifters location.
He was at Neu Hiraleon, where the shifters we're located as he stopped for a moment. Something was off as a storm appeared. Cole stared at the gravity storm as it was getting bigger.
"Kat… Raven…" Cole muttered as he was engulfed by the storm.
Thinking back, he had told the two girls his story of the accident that he was in. Then he started to think of the series of flashbacks during his time in Hekseville.
Flashback #1
"You WHAT?! You could have died!" "Kat, it's not a big deal. It's just a car accident." "It is! Not only did you get hit, but the Ray Sphere gave you a coma. A COMA COLE! What if… you weren't here now? Then what?" "You could have lived your life by moving on. Kat, I didn't want to make a big deal out of it." "But… Just thinking about it scares me." Kat started to cry, burying herself onto Cole's chest. As she cried, Raven walked towards the two as she kept her expression.
"Honestly… how do you do it? You survived two times and I can't shake that feeling." Raven replied as she sat on her knees, comforting Kat. "I don't know either." It's all Cole could say as he comforted Kat as well.
"When you got your coma, didn't Trish have the same thought as we did?" Kat asked softly as Cole stared into space, wondering if Trish was worried about his coma. Kat hugged him tightly as the Conduit kept comforting her more.
Flashback #2
"Hey Kat!" Cole and Kat turned to a schoolboy known as Newt as he went to the two.
"Oh, hey Newt. How are you and Echo doing?" Kat asked, "it's going good. Um… Are you and the Electric Man on a date?" Newt asked as Cole turned away as he blushed. Kat laughed softly after hearing this. "You can say that. He's a really nice person when you get to know him." Kat said as Cole turned to her, keeping his usual expression. "I heard a lot about you, Electric man, sir." Newt spoke as Cole crossed his arms. "Cole, is what I would rather be called. I have a name you know." Cole replied as Newt chuckled, "Right. Cole it is then. So how did you know the Gravity Queen of Hekseville?" Newt asked as Cole scratched his head. "It's complicated." Cole added, Kat giggled at the conduit as he gave her a small smile.
"We're on our way to get some ice cream? Besides, Cole was going to do some tricks for some kids that he whipped up." Kat said as Newt turned to the Conduit. "What kind?" "Just some juggling. Electric slide, Cryo jumping, some parkour and acrobatic stuff." Cole said as Newt was surprised to hear all of the Conduits talents
"You can do all of that?" Newt spoke in shock as Cole smiled. "It takes a lot of practice." Cole added as he and Kat head off. Newt followed as the three spotted Echo, waving at the group.
Flashback #3
"Tell me, Cole Macgrath, is there a purpose to come here from your world to this universe?" Cyanea, the mysterious blue haired girl visited to see the Conduit as Cole, Gade, Kat and Raven we're gathered to understand Cole's purpose.
"I don't even know about that myself. First thing I remember was defeating the beast for good. The beast… John. Was absorbed by the Ray Sphere, being torn apart into atoms and turned into a being of immense power, he had to be stopped, not only that, I caused a plague that infected not only Empire City, but the whole world. It was my responsibility to handle this, thanks to a couple of good people that aided me. Dr Wolfe made a RFI that neutralized the Beast permanently, not only it stopped him but I had to sacrifice myself to do it." "And you did it with no hesitation?" "No. I decided what's right. It's either making thousands of conduits, or saving millions of lives." Cole and Cyanea spoke as Gade pondered the conduit's story. "I can still remember the people that we're close to me. Trish Dailey, Zeke Dunbar, Lucy Kuo, Nix, Laroche…" "They mean a lot to you." "Definitely." Kat listened as Raven petted Xii. Gade decided to ask Cole about the RFI.
"When you used this RFI, you said that it destroys the Beast correct?" "Yes." "It also should wipe the ones that have the conduit gene. Including you. However, it seems that the RFI has done something it shouldn't." "I thought about that too. You think when I used it, it took me here to Hekseville for a purpose?" "That might be the case. You seem to adapt here well with Kat and Raven, especially the civilians. So there's no doubt you're given another chance to live your life the fullest." "Yeah. No doubt. One in a million." "Hmm, seems Dr. Wolfe must have done something in case anything happens." Cole and Gade had finished their discussion of the RFI situation and Cole's purpose here. Kat sat next to Cole as she and Dusty looked at the Conduit.
"Do you enjoy being here, Cole?" Gade asked as the Conduit turned to the old man. "I… do actually. Getting to know every single person I meet here it's as if your all family to me. And I'm really grateful for all of you." Cole said, making Kat smile. Raven still kept her composure, she understood what he meant.
"As long as your here with Me, Dusty, Raven and Xii, you have nothing to worry about." Kat added as the two smiled. Raven gave a small gentle smile, she too had bonded with Cole, not just a stranger to her, but as both an ally and a really good friend. Cyanea walked towards Cole as she examined his eyes. "It seems a small fragment is inside of you. Resting." "I noticed, it's not the first time I felt the presence but I figured this might be Kessler." Kat and Raven turned to him in a surprised expression.
"We may not know if we have time, Gade and I might leave at any moment." "Which is why I have to talk with Kessler myself. I have done this before, and besides… This will be the second time we talk since then. You don't have to worry, Cyanea." Cyanea nodded with a smile as Raven walked next to her. "Seems that settled. Wish we could talk with Kessler." Raven replied as Cyanea had an idea.
"I could try to get you three to talk with the spirit of Kessler in Cole." Cyanea added. "Wait, Really?! Can we?" Kat asked as Cole stared in shock. "You two are willing to meet Kessler?" He asked as Gade chuckled. "It's not a bad idea, we got time in the world." The old man said as Cole had second thoughts.
"I don't know about this." Cole replied, Kat held his hand as she knelt to the conduit. "Me and Raven will be by your side, you don't have to worry." Kat said, Raven walked next to Cole. "You don't have a choice anyway. Like it or not, we're going to talk with him." Raven spoke with confidence. Cole had no choice. He decided to let the girls meet Kessler as he gave a nod. "Ok, then let us start. Cole, Kat, Raven… shall we?" Cyanea asked as the three readied themselves.

Cole scouted the city, to see if any Nevi we're coming out of place. Somehow a figure was watching the city, Cole approached the figure as he flew to the building. As he caught up to it, the figure was a girl. Cole grabbed her hand as she turned to Cole.
"Kat?" Cole spoke as the figure blatantly stared at the conduit. She had Kat's face, Raven's hair color, the outfit is like Kat's but different. Cole let go as the two stared, the woman blinked as she approached cautiously. Cole did the same as the two blinked. The woman floated and left the scene. Cole stared at her as he wondered who she was.
"Weird… don't talk much." Cole said as he stared off.
Flashback #5
"Are you done?" Cole asked, "Hang on. At least let a lady finish getting dressed." Kat spoke in a teasing tone as she added some final touches.
Cole didn't know what this was about, but can't be helped as he stared at her furniture.
She came out in a different clothing, wearing a maids outfit, as she twirls and makes a bowing gesture.
"Ok… what's all this?" Cole asked as he scratched his head. "Well it was part of my job of being a maid, just to get some money. I want your input on how I look?" Kat said as Cole kept his composure. Dusty and Cole looked at each other as the cat meowed, implying Cole to woo her.
"Well, to be honest, you look great." Cole said as Kat smiled. "Well thank you so kindly, Mr. Macgrath." Kat said as she bowed once more with such grace. She changed once more as Cole and Dusty waited. "There's more? What kind of costumes do you have this time, Kat?" "Eh, not much, but this was to go undercover to find out what was going on at a school." Kat finished changing as she wore a school outfit. "What the hell? A school outfit?" "Well yeah. I mean it's like I said, it was undercover. Can't let anyone know who I was." "True, heh, looks good on you." Cole stopped for a moment as he looked at her leggings. Then upwards as he looked at her hairstyle, her crimson red eyes and her beautiful glossy lips made him blushed a bit as she caught him staring. "Cole." Kat couldn't help but giggle. She played with her hair as Dusty meowed.
"There's another outfit you have next?" "Well it's just something I used for undercover as well. Ohh. Feels a little tight." "Tight?" "Uhh. Anyway I'm almost done." Kat came back as she wore such a revealing outfit, showing a bit of her cleavage. The spy gear she wore got Cole stared in a stunned state.
"So… how does it look?" Kat asked as she struck a sexy pose. "Wow. I mean… Wow." Cole said as he looked at her headwear resembling cat ears and goggles, and a tail. Looking at her upper area, showing plenty of skin, it made Cole try to keep his composure. Down to her lower area where Cole stared, he looked at how luscious Kat looked. Kat approached him slowly. "Well. Is there anything else you like? Maybe when I come close to you? Or when I get you all riled up and just finding your ticklish spot? You know, you have to make sure that as a champion of Hekseville you always… keep your composure." Kat said as she smooched Cole. Cole kissed back on her cheek, surprising Kat. The two kissed as Kat stopped for a moment. "Caught me off guard. I was hoping you give me a kiss for a change." Kat replied, making Cole chuckle.
"Knowing you, I was expecting a shove or a slap." "Cole. We're a couple now, you know I wouldn't do that unless I feel violated, I would kick your butt into the atmosphere. Or whatever." He grabbed the side of her hips, closing in on her bum, Kat grabbed his hands as she looked at him sternly.
"Cole, you perv. Your not going this far." Kat said as Cole shrugged, "Can't blame a guy for trying." He replied with a smile. Kat couldn't help but smile at his humor. "Well fine. If you insist." She sent his hands gently next to the side of her hips, causing both of them to blush. Kat wrapped her arms around his neck as the two closed in slowly.
The two kissed once again as the kissing felt like an hour. Cole rubbed her butt softly, making Kat jumped in surprise. "Cole! Stop that. Or else." "Or else what Kitten?" This made Kat challenge herself to find Cole's weakness. She sent one hand under his shirt as she caressed his firmed belly. A trick she did as she eyed on Cole. Forming her hand in a claw motion, using her fingertips to tickle the conduit. The build on him from all the parkours he did showed how fit he was. (Just go with it.) that or the fact of being a superhuman had paid off.
'Whoa, it worked?!' Kat thinked to herself as Cole blushed.
"Whoa now. Your not thinking of-" Kat hushed him with her finger as she did a trick with her finger on his abs, Cole felt a tickling sensation as he blushed like a tomato. 'Oh Wow, it's working! Now I got him.' Kat smiled in a mischievous way as Cole knew what was coming next.
Raven came in as she stared in a dull manner. Seeing the two flirting, and teasing, Raven crossed her arms as she tapped her feet.
"Ahem." Raven, clearing her throat, got the two separated quickly as Kat turned to her. "How's it going Raven?" Cole replied as he sees Raven's usual gesture, she stared at the two as Kat rubbed her arm in embarrassment. Then she remembered something.
"Hey Raven! Since your here, I got you something from Syd… for what I don't know." Kat said as Raven stared at Cole.
"Honestly, you two are too much." Raven spoke as Cole shrugged once more. "Ok, here it is!" Kat called Raven's attention as she pulled out another Spy outfit but a different color. Somehow Cole and Raven looked at the outfit as the black and red haired girl blushed in embarrassment.
"What is this?" Raven asked bluntly as Kat smiled. "Your own spy outfit. It's uh… actually a gift." Kat said as Raven stared dully as she crossed her arms.
"No way I'll ever wear that. Plus with Cole here…" "It's not that bad, Raven. Unless… you can't pull it off." "Kat… ugh fine, I'll give it a try. And you. Don't get any ideas." Raven grabbed the outfit as she went to change. Kat and Cole waited, when she finished, Raven showed much from the upper body, considering she was developed. Kat was happy to see her friend dress up something different than just her regular outfit.
"Raven, you look amazing, then again… there's those." Kat's tone changed as she got a look at Raven's chest. Cole only looked at Raven's face as she turned to him.
"Your not staring… are you?" Raven asked sternly as Cole stared at her. "What?" He said bluntly, "Really..." "I'm not even looking. Plus with that outfit you look gorgeous." "Macgrath…" Cole turned to her as Raven crossed her arms, covering her chest. Her cheeks glow in a pink tint. "Hey at least you two don't have a cape. That's something." Cole replied as Kat smiled once more. "See? I knew he liked the outfit." She said as she stuck her tongue out and winked at him from the side, nudging him.
"Honestly, look let's change back, we need to scout the town in case of Nevi showing up. If not, we should go on about our day as always." Raven said as she went to put on her outfit.
"Alright, I'll let you ladies change. I'll get going." Cole spoke, "Hey! Make sure you wait for us, Cole." Kat added, Cole decided to check his bag as he went to change his clothes that he picked up around Pleajeune.
Raven finished changing as she had a thought about her new outfit. 'He really liked it. Why did my heart just jump when he said that? Surely he meant Kat. Right. What do I care? Maybe it's just a coincidence. How would Kat feel if she noticed? That Macgrath. Have I..?' Raven blushed madly as Kat turned to Raven as Dusty meowed to get Kat's attention. "I don't know Dusty, she seems to be acting strange. Well we should get going." Kat said as Dusty followed her.
Flashback #6
"All of the days we've been through since I came here. I want to say I'm glad to have come here. Seeing you, Raven, Dusty, Xii, Syd… You all meant a lot to me now. meeting other people like Aujean and Eugie… heh, my first impression of them wasn't bad or good. But we got to know a lot of each other. Newt and Echo, nice kids. Kish seemed alright, can't believe he was the snakerabbit leader turned nice. Gade… I can tell he's wise, but there's a lot I don't know much about. Cyanea is the same. However, the other Cyanea, She's a lot to take in, but she understood what I was going through. The other Cyanea… the innocent girl I befriended, feels like I had a daughter of my own. Yunica. Trust is a lot you need to do as a hero. We never talk much but she's a real good person, unlike the person I cooperated with before, but Yunica isn't like her. When she thought that I was going to hurt the civilians with my ice, I explained that my ionic freeze never hurt civilians and the buildings. When she got in front of me as I tried to take out the Nevi, oh boy she was surprised. It's not a laughing matter but she has a heroic eye. I can tell she cares for the people and the town. She's not some cyborg. She's more than that. And I want her to see I'm not some monster looking for power. That's not my style. But I think of that everyday to make sure I stay who I am and what purpose I have. I never asked for the powers that I was given but I'm sure as hell I'll do what it takes to protect everyone." Cole spoke to himself as he looked at the photo of his new friends/family.
"Macgrath?" Yunica approached the Conduit as he turned to her. "Oh. Hey, Yunica." Cole muttered as he scratched his head. "I… I just came to see how you're doing. I guess your working on something to speak with the Gravity Queen." Yunica added as Cole blinked for a sec.
"You heard all of that,huh?" Cole asked as Yunica nodded, a pink blush could be seen on her cheeks. "Yes. I didn't mean to eavesdrop on you. I wanted to-" "Whoa, it's fine. It's not like I don't trust you, everything has been settled. What's on your mind, exactly?" Cole asked as Yunica sat next to him.
"I wanted to see how you're doing." Yunica said, "there's more you want to say, I can tell in your eyes. Hey… go on ahead and ask away. I'll answer whatever you can dish out." Cole replied as Yunica turned to him.
"I wanted to know if you… well… It's just you and Kat. What is she to you?" Yunica asked as Cole turned away as he hid his blush.
"You too huh…" "Eh? I'm not the only one asking about this?" "Nah, I'll tell you one thing, everyone cares for her. I know she did a lot around Hekseville and throughout. And I want her to protect this town. This mysterious place. I'm not here to take the glory. Neither is Kat. We both want to protect the people, the town. That's what matters. That's what I like about her." Cole explained as Yunica smiled a little.
"Your in love, aren't you?" "Da*n…" Yunica gave a small chuckle as Cole exhaled his breath in disbelief.
Yunica grabbed Cole's hand, examined the bandages on them, she looked at them, the soldier blinked as she looked at Cole. "So gentle. Honestly, when you said about me being caught in your wave of ice, I thought we were goners. But you proved to control your powers to make sure everyone is safe. And that, you never cease to amaze me." Yunica added as Cole nodded in approval. "Your still watching me and Kat, correct?" Cole asked as Yunica stood up and looked up at the sky. "Indeed. I'll be seeing you around, Electric man." Yunica said as she left.
"Yunica…" Cole muttered as he looked at the sky once more. Creating an ice grenade as it shatters, making snowflakes.
Yunica looked up as she remembered Cole's Ionic Freeze, she saw how it protected the civilians as it destroyed the Nevi. The Nevi we're nothing but snowflakes as Yunica's heart softened. The crowd saw the snowflakes fall as Kat came to Cole, she was surprised as everyone was. The civilians happily saw how the snowflakes fell as they evaporated. However this made Kat feel a warmth feeling being placed in her heart. This made Yunica got to thinking she had fallen in love with the Conduit. And it showed.
Yunica, finishing her flashback, smiled as she looked at Cole's direction. "Cole Macgrath, you and the Gravity Queen never ceased to amaze me."
Flashback #7
Raven and Cole we're scouting the city of Auldnoir. Cole almost finished his meal as Raven's guardian Xii wanted his fries. Cole looked at him as Xii cawed softly. Cole offered him some of the fries as Xii pecked to get the fries into his mouth. Raven had finished her meal, the way she ate her meal, it got Cole to thinking that Kat isn't the only gourmand girl around.
"What?" Raven spoke as Cole blinked for a second.
"Are you also…" "Don't compare me to her." "Hey, I never said that." "You we're going to, Macgrath." "You know what? Fine. Won't say another word." Cole and Raven resumed watching the civilians, one by one Auldnoir have been peaceful, like Hekseville and Pleajeune and the other towns they have patrolled. Nevi's come and go, as Cole got to thinking, Heroes do deserve a break from time to time. Why can't Kat and Raven deserve a break once in a while?
He looked at Raven, the snarky but beautiful shifter is nothing like Kat, but to Cole he can see there's something in her that she won't show.
'I don't know what Raven's deal though. If she's scouting, why did she bother hanging with me? I mean I get it that she's snarky in her own way, but why bother hanging with me instead?'' Cole thought to himself, Xii flew around the two, landing on Cole's shoulder, the conduit ruffled its head gently with his finger. Raven caught a glimpse of his hands, bandage wraps on each finger. "Macgrath, we should head on back. See how Kat's doing." Raven spoke as Cole nodded.
"Alright, lets-" a girl was crying, it made Cole stop where he stood, he looked at her as he scanned and saw a balloon flying off. Cole's quick thinking, using his cryo jump to catch the balloon. Thanks to all the practice, his powers seemed to be adapting. Cole caught the string as he hovered down gently. The girl looked in amazement as the Conduit landed.
"Here, no need to cry now." Cole said, making the girl smile with joy. "Thank you, Mr. Electric Man." She said as Cole smiled with a nod. The girl looked at the Conduit, his calm expression made her smile with joyful laughter.
"You have such a way with children, don't you?" The mother asked as Cole scratched his head. 'He sure does.' Raven smiled softly
"In some way, I guess." "Any woman would be lucky to be with a guy like you." Raven walked towards Cole as she saw what he did for the girl, the mother looked at Raven for a moment.
"Is she your girlfriend Electric man?" The girl asked as Raven gave a shocking expression, Cole turned to Raven as she turned to Cole. She kept a cool composure, but she was blushing from cheeks to her ears.
"Uhh… well…" Cole was at a loss of words as the girl walked to Raven as the girl giggled. "She may look mean, but she's pretty cute. Right?" She replied as Cole chuckled, "Yeah. She is. And that's a compliment she should take." Cole said, making Raven clench her fist, blushing even redder. 'That jerk! I swear I'll pound him for this… he thinks I'm cute… Ugh, I can't believe this…' Raven thought to herself as the mother laughed at this.
"Now sweetheart, that's enough of that. Any more of the comments you'll make the girl explode with embarrassment. Anyways thanks again. You have a name Electric man?" "Yes ma'am. It's Cole. Cole Macgrath." "Ah, it's nice to have another hero around, those shifters seem to be attached to you, too. It's nice meeting you." Cole and the mother and daughter waved as Raven stared at Cole. The girl turned to Cole with her balloon as She smiled and waved. "Bye Mr. Cole." She called as Cole smiled softly as he turned to Raven. She stared sternly.
"I should slug you for that." Raven replied, Cole stared in a dull manner as he crossed his arms. "It's a compliment Raven. The girl isn't wrong by the way." Cole replied, making Raven softened herself as she rub her arm. "You don't want me to say anything positive about you?" Cole asked, making the shifter look at him.
"Macgrath, I just… saying those compliments about me…" "Raven, no matter what they say about you, don't worry. Your an amazing person. I know you are. Soon you'll get fans of your own. I did." "Heh. Thank you. And just for that your treating me for another meal." "You got a deal." "R-Really?!" "Well yeah." Cole and Raven stared at one another. Raven gave a small smile, making Cole smile as well. "You… you got a nice smile." "You… you think so?" Cole nodded, encouraging Raven. "Let's go. The meal is on me again." Cole said as Raven nodded. Looking at her nails, sharp like a bird's talon. "I wonder if I should trim these?" Raven asked herself, as she walked next to Cole.
'Kat isn't the only one. Who would of thought he also made me even happy. Zaza. I wish you we're here to meet him. You'd like him for sure.' Raven said in her thoughts.
"One thing for sure, he's not like Syd." Raven muttered to herself, softening her laughter.
Flashback #8
At the rooftops of Vendecentre, Cole, Kat, Raven, Yunica and Cyanea discussed what they dream about when they are asleep, as much as Cole doesn't want to discuss he had no choice thanks to Kat.
"So why are we here again?" Raven asked in a dull expression. "We're here to talk about the dreams we have while asleep. For instance, Kat. Having a couple of dreams makes her mutter about. Raven, sleeping in the theatre,mumbling about something to do with Kat, Yunica from reading a novel that relates to the dream, and Cole… it's hard to put out but…" Cyanea explains as Cole stared at the girls.
"Kat dragged me here for no reason. To be honest I can't remember what I have been dreaming." Cole replied, Kat turned to him as she shook his arm. "Which is why we want to know. I'm curious to know what kind of dream you have." Kat replied, Raven rolled her eyes, knowing this would come eventually.
"I'm actually intrigued about it." Yunica added as Raven started to worry. "I don't think it's a good idea. What if some dreams are personal?" Raven said, Cole agreed to this. "She's right. There are some not worth telling." Cole added, Kat pouted as she had enough of the two's disagreement.
"You two are no fun! Fine, I'll start. For me, I dreamed that I played professional golf. I had lots of fun. Raven was there, cheering me on." Kat said as the four stared at her. Cole stared at Yunica and Raven, knowing these two of not telling their dreams. It has something to do with Kat.
'Oh boy. Might give it a shot.' Cole thought to himself as Cyanea stared at the two. "If I may, do your dreams have to do with Kat?" She asked as the two had shocking expressions, they really didn't want to say a word until…
"Cyanea. I got a few dreams I can tell you." "Alright Cole Macgrath, I'm listening." Cole remembers the dreams that he had. He remembered the ones that he dreamed no doubt.
"One dream, it was weird. But I was fighting side by side with some karate man with a red headband, against a man with spiky hair with a scar on his chest, as we both beat countless of fighters from different places, there was some purplish box at Antarctica, about dinosaurs, robots, everything was caused by that box. Until we fought an ancient being with green skin, he spoke in an alien language. Beat him and the rest ended in a flash." Cole explained the first dream. The girls we're intrigued of the dream as Cole continued.
(This is from a capcom crossover game. If you can identify the game, then good on ya. For the boss I described, there are two bosses, for this one you might know the one I described.)
"The next one was different, guns shooting from left to right, some adventurers we're taking on a group of thugs. I took a gun, shoot them down and felt like it was an adventure of a lifetime. The thrill of finding treasure, and taking on bad guys felt amazing." Cole spoke as Cyanea nodded. Kat listened as Raven and Yunica looked at each other as the two gave a unsuring look.
"The third one was bizarre. I was some doll, walking around some weird place that had stickers, orbs and-" "other dolls that look like… Cole, did you..? You were in my Dream?!" Kat interrupted as Raven and Yunica stared at the two. "I was in that dream too!" Yunica added as Raven blinked and pointed to the three. "I was there too. I thought I was the only one dreaming." Raven said as Cyanea looked at the four.
"It seems that the misadventures you all have in your dreams must have a meaning. Although you all have experienced them as if it was real. Cole is a fighter, through and through. Kat loves to try new things, such as golf. But you two haven't told me any of your dreams so who knows what you have to deal with." Cyanea spoke, making Raven and Yunica stared at the girl.
"You know what, I think it's time we head off. Besides, why not grab something to eat. My treat." "Ah! Your the best Cole!" "Yeah, great idea Macgrath." "I'll come as well. Hope you don't mind, Electric man." Cole, Kat, Raven and Yunica left as they started to hightail out of here.
"Hmm… another time I guess." Cyanea had turned back to her normal self as she followed the four. Seeing her back to normal, Cole invited her as he ruffled her hair as she walked next to Cole and Raven.
Flashback #9
Cole, Kat, Syd, and Raven we're getting ice cream as Aujean and Syd chatted. Cole nearly finished his when suddenly about four kittens surrounded him, meowing about two of each had their own color palette style. The two had black spots, gray stripes and white on the bottom. The other two had blondish fur with light brown stripes. The others see what was going on as Kat cooed at the adorable kittens.
"Wow, they're so cute! Dusty, look!" Kat replied as Dusty appeared to see the kittens as the four meowed in curiosity, wondering who the space-like cat was. As they stared atDusty, the four kittens weren't afraid of Dusty, more like enjoying his company. They went to the conduit as he finished his ice cream.
"Oi, Cole. Are they yours?" Aujean asked as Cole shook his head. "No. They just came and I don't even know what's going on." Cole spoke as one of the two blonde and brown kittens crawled onto his leg.
"Macgrath, why is one of them climbing onto your leg?" Raven asked as she watched the kitten climb, as it made it to Cole's upper body on the side, Cole carries the kitten as he held it with both hands. The kitten looked at the conduit as his siblings watched.
"I think this little guy likes you, Cole." Syd said as the kitten meowed, rubbing himself onto Cole's palm. "Huh. That's something." Cole said, Kat walked next to him as the kitten felt his hair becoming real fuzzy. With all the static gathered, the kitten enjoyed playing on Cole's hand.
"Ok little guy, I'm gonna set you down, alright?" "Mrrrrrooooooow!" The kitten didn't want to be set down as he stayed onto his arms, the way he meowed was a way of saying no. Raven stared as she hid her small smile with her hand.
"Cole, he actually likes you. That's so cute!" Kat replied as Cole stared at the kitten. He was stubborn of not being put down, the other three meowed, begging to get his attention. Looking at the four, he realized something about their faces, ears, and whiskers.
The one he was carrying had a scar on its right cheek, just like Cole's.
The next cat of the same color from Cole was carrying had short whiskers, what's noticeable is that the cat is a female
The black, gray and white kittens are the same but their natures are different. The female one was cheery as her brother seemed to be relaxed, their ear had a little chip off from the different sides, the female's ear on the left, and the male's ear on the right.
The kitten that is attached to Cole was turned into a puffy fuzzball. Kat and Syd laughed as Cole fixed the kitten's fur, and set the kitten down. The mother cat showed up as she approached Cole and the others.
"That must be their mother." Raven spoke, Cole turned to the mother cat as she stared at the conduit carefully. She looked at his cool blue eyes as the cat blinked for a second.
"Her eye… it's missing." Raven said, pointing at the mother cat's eye. The others saw it's scarred eye as the cat came to Cole.
"Is she gonna attack him?" Syd whispered to Kat as she watched as well. "Depends." Kat said bluntly. The mother cat rubbed her head onto Cole's leg, the kittens gathered around with their mother as the mother stared at the conduit.
"That quick?!" Both Kat, Raven and Syd shouted as the mother purred. 'She's a feral. No cat like this should be liking humans. Unless…' Raven thinked to herself as she watched the mother cat.
Cole decided to patrol the town. As he was walking off, the cats followed in a military marching fashion. Kat and the others we're surprised as Cole stopped and turned to the cats. They stopped as he stared. As he did for a moment he walked as he stared at them about a few inches. They followed as the conduit blinked for a second. Kat smiled as she and Dusty went next to the cats. The conduit and the shifter walked as Dusty, the mother cat and the kittens marched. Xii appears as he glides next to Cole, joining the march.
"Xii, come back! Xii!" Raven called to her crow, she sighed as she followed Cole and Kat.
"Hey, Papa, what is the Electric man and that shifter girl doing with the cats?" Eugie asked as Aujean was enjoying the show. "Oh, Eugie. Seems Cole made more friends and they're fond of him." The man said as Eugie stared at the group marching.
"I think I'll join with Mr. Electric man." Eugie said as he followed Cole, Kat and Raven. Newt and Echo watched as they followed.
"Hey Cole, what's going on?" Newt asked as Echo looked at the mother cat and kittens. "Are they yours, Cole?" She asked as Cole shook his head. "No, they just started following me for some reason." The conduit looked at the mother cat and her children once more, the kittens meowing to the conduit, as he showed affection as the male blonde and brown kitten he carried caressed his cheeks onto his hands.
Echo and Newt watched how the conduit and the kitten bond as Echo smiled at this. "That's so cute. Look Newt, they're following Cole wherever he goes." Echo said as Raven and Kat softly laughed. Kat knew how cute it was as Raven was going to enjoy teasing the conduit.
"Honestly they just follow as I go. I don't know if I should be ditching them. It ain't right just to leave them like that." "Of course you shouldn't!" The girls, including Raven herself, told the conduit as he, Newt and Eugie stared at them in a comical fashion as Cole blinked for a moment.
'Oh boy. At least they're not like Kuo or Nix. Then again…' Cole stopped for a moment as he picked up the kitten that caressed his hand. The kitten meowed as the other three and their mother looked up towards the two.
"Macgrath, what's all this here?" Yunica approaches the group as she sees the mother cat and the kittens.
"Well…" "No need, it seems you got your hands full." Cole looked at the kitten once more as Syd and his partner named Chad approached the group as the cats turned to them.
"Ah, Cole, just the guy I needed to see." Chad spoke as Cole turned to him. "So what does the police force need this time?" Cole asked as Chad showed the papers of a mysterious group up to no good.
"You think you can infiltrate the group? Something's going down and we need you to check it out." "Alright, I'm in." "And you might need to wear this." Cole looked at the outfit that Syd and Chad picked out, with a custom handbag with the raccoon symbol added. Cole looked at the goggles as Kat turned to the two.
"Am I included as well?" "It's up to you, Kat. It was decided that we go with Cole since… well…" "oh yeah. The incident." Kat remembered as Cole finished changing. "That was fast, electric man." Eugie said as Cole chuckled. "As long as I don't need a cape, I'm good." He said as he wore a sweater vest with a hoodie, a regular yellow and black shirt, with a gauntlet attached, torned jeans and still kept the Rikio tabi sport shoes that he has on right now.
"I'm all set." Cole said as the group stared at the conduit. Popping out of the vest up top was the kitten.
"Wait, where'd he come from?" Chad asked in surprise. "They've been here the whole time following Cole." Raven spoke as Syd chuckled. "No worries Chad. Anyways just head in that direction, Cole. You'll find them over there." Syd said as Cole nodded. He used his Cryo Jump as the cats watched. "Hold on! He's coming with you?!" "Can't say no to the little guy, Chad! He was eager!" As Cole's shouts faded, Eugie, Newt, and Echo watched in awe as the Cryo spike stood where he jumped off.
"I'll go with him. I'm starting to worry about the kitten." Kat said as she flew. Raven watched as she shrugged. "Ah… fine, I better go too."
"You two go on. Will watch the cats. They'll likely wait for Cole to return." Echo said as Newt nodded.
"You guys are the best. Will be back soon!" Kat shouted as she and Raven followed Cole's trail. Cole and his new partner enjoy the free fall as the kitten meowed in excitement.
Flashback #10
"I swear, I can't stand him!" Kat yelled as Cole stared at the shifter. "If it's about me, what did I do?"Cole asked, making Kat gasped. "Oh. Sorry Cole, it's just that… that Syd! He makes me so mad!" Kat yelled once more, making Cole sighed in frustration of his friend making Kat angry. Dusty stared at the girl as he swung his tail.
"What for?" Cole asked as Kat stared at him sternly. "Cole, you were there. From our fight with the Nevi." "Partially. However I did see you and Raven knocked him to the ground." Cole and Kat stared at one another as Kat gave him the look. The same look Trish would give him. Dusty meowed, staring at the two.
"Cole, Syd barely helps out for us. He always tries to get out of situations by saying silly things. It wouldn't hurt to help out for a change. Instead of being such a… ugh I swear." Kat crossed her arms, angry at the man's behavior.
"I get it. I talked with him about his lazy behavior. I told him how you feel about the whole situation and that he needs to be helping out more. I know he's a smart man, and proved it, but he has to do better. And you need to remember that he's still human. He's not like You, Raven, or me. But that doesn't mean he should still be lazy. Then again, he's not like Zeke." Cole spoke, Kat's stern face softened as she got curious. "Was Zeke helpful?" Kat asked as Cole looked at the photo of the wedding day, looking at the picture of Zeke.
"Zeke would do anything to help me out. Helped me fight off enemies, he made this Amp for me, he goes through to help with any situations even if they're dangerous." Cole said, "At least Zeke isn't like Syd. He shows what it takes to help out." Kat spoke as Cole chuckled. "You should be lucky to have Syd around. Plus with me here, I'll give him an earful to get us to help out more. I talk to him about Zeke all the time. They're both smart in their own way, but Zeke isn't a lazy a*s slacker." Cole said as Kat smiled a bit.
"Your right. But still, he has to help out more." Kat replied with a huff. Pouting as Cole smirked. "Still making that cute face, huh?" Cole added as Kat turned to him, still pouting.
"Hmph." Kat scoffed, but blushing that Cole commented on her pouting. Dusty meowed softly as he enjoyed the two's flirting. Cole shrugged as he sat on the wooden bench. But still, Kat can't help but smile as he thinks how cute she is.
"Just for the record, I'm not defending Syds actions. I want him to do better too." "Of course. Not like I should judge you." Kat stand next to the conduit as she dimmed her eyes lovingly.
"Cole. Thanks." "Anytime, Kitten." The two heroes laid about as Kat came close to him. She loved when he called her that as she sat next to him. The Conduit blinked for a moment as Kat leaned towards him and kissed his forehead.
'Cole, he cares for Syd a lot. I know that these two got to know each other and I'm glad Cole's giving him an earful. But I can't get an odd feeling that something might happen. What ever happens I'll face it.'
Kat started to come near Cole, the conduit stared at the shifter as the two closed in. "Are we doing this again?" "If your willing to, Cole." "People are watching us, y'know." "Hmm. Let them look." Kat smiled softly as she felt better from talking with Cole. The two kissed passionately as Dusty rested about.
Flashback #11
"Mmm… Babe, you awake? Babe? Babe… Babe!" Kat called as Cole woke up, the conduit stretched as he turned to Kat, as she smiled.
"Hehe, Hi." Kat laughed softly, then started yawning. "Usually the guy would call the woman babe." Cole said, Kat giggled as she kissed his forehead. Dusty meowed as Cole held him around his arms.
"I was hoping you didn't forget, Another date we're gonna have together. Since I finished my babysitting from that day and my circus performance on the other, we can go out and hang. I also ask Raven to join." Kat spoke as Cole chuckled.
"That's good. I'll be real, you have a way with people. When you made the child happy when you both float in the sky, and the performance at the circus is phenomenal. Kat, your an amazing person. You deserved a lot." Cole smiled as Kat hugged him. Her face started to glow of the appreciation that Cole was giving her as she nuzzled his cheek. She stopped for a moment as she looked at Cole.
"Hey. I want to know. Are you happy here? I mean with you staying here in my world. Do you miss your best friend? Your family?" Kat asked as Cole looked at the pipe ceiling.
"I think about that every day. I know New Maris is safe, but I can't help but wonder if Zeke is doing ok… Trish, Nix, Kuo and Laroche are already gone, Hell I did all I could. Can't remember the last time I saw my parents, we are rich but I walked out on my own. My brother, I wish I knew how he was doing. Like I said before, I'm not alone anymore. I have you and Dusty." Cole said as Kat caressed his cheek.
"Then you know you have nothing to worry about. Zeke will be alright. I know for a fact that he'll be doing great things for his future. And I'm sure he misses you. Plus you got Syd, Raven, Yunica, and everyone else here. Your family and your brother must know the good deeds you have done back at your world, if that's the case… they're already proud of the man you have become. I'm sure of it." Kat spoke, Cole smiled softly of her encouragement.
"Thank you. I just hope the world isn't in deep… well you know." Cole replied as he tried to watch his language around Kat. She gave a comical stern look as she laughed it off. Kat and Cole got in a spooning position as Kat looked up at the conduit. She smiled sheepishly as she and Cole held tight around the waist.
"So if Zeke was here what would you do?" Kat replied, Cole thinked for a moment as he turned to Kat.
"Watching old western movies and drinking beer." Cole answered, Kat made a funny dull face with a smirk as she stared at the conduit. "Guess it can't be helped. Boys these days." Kat said as she laughed. "Cole. Don't be drinking too much either. It's not good. Plus it ruins the ta- I mean the mood." Kat added, with quick thinking, changed the sentence as Cole stared at her in suspicion. Smirking at the Gravity Queen.
"Uh huh… look get dressed. Will be going to get something to eat so I don't wanna hear Raven complaining." Cole said as Kat nodded.
"By the way… you got fuzz on you. Like Syds but yours is…" Kat asked as Cole felt his semi facial hair as Kat giggled. Cole scoffed as the conduit yawned. "Well let's not worry about it. Let's get going." Cole spoke.
"Alright, I'll be ready." Kat replied as she got out of the sheets. Cole turned to her as he only got a glimpse of her tanned skin of her legs from the sheets. It wasn't much to see, since the sheets covered her upper and lower body. Getting a good look of her butt that he admired as she turned to him. Realizing that he was looking at her.
"Ah! COLE!" Kat covered herself quickly as Cole turned away, he went out of the pipe as he waited. "Sh*t! Sorry! That's my bad." Cole said as Kat pouted as her cheeks puffed. Dusty meowed as Kat looked at her guardian. "I didn't do it on purpose, Dusty." Kat said as Dusty meowed once again as he waited for her to get dressed.
Flashback #12
Cole juggled his tiny cryo balls, as long as they're not grenades it's no problem. The kids around the town we're impressed by his talents. Just as he finished entertaining a couple of people, Kat waited for him up top of the building as he uses his lightning tether.
"Hey Kat. You ok?" Cole asked as Kat turned to him. "Cole, I was wondering. I… wanted to know if you'll stay the same person. I mean like you won't change into a different person." Kat did her best to explain, Cole had a thought for a moment, looking at his powers.
"Cole, I don't want you to be like any of those who seek power. I don't want to lose you. Being just like those types of people… it's just whenever you gain a new power, It makes me really worried." "I was told… how power can change you. I told you my stories of during my time at Empire City, how much I have struggled and how I stay true to myself. I made a promise to you, Kat. I'm not going to be that guy who seeks for power." Cole and Kat watched the citizens walk by as Kat turned to him.
"Aren't you scared?" Kat asked, "Of course I am. But that's not going to stop me. I'll protect those in need. For now, let's enjoy our moments together, while we can." Cole said as Kat nodded, Dusty jumped onto Cole's lap as the three continued to watch over the town.
"You seemed pretty quick to admit it." Kat said as she smiled. "Hey… don't tease me." Cole replied back as Kat laughed softly, making Cole smile back at her.
Flashback #13
Cole watched as everyone chatted. They did something special for Kat, well it was Syds idea of course, Cole decided to slip out as he did unnoticed. He stares at the pipes once more as he chills on the side of Kat's home.
"There you are, why'd you leave, Cole?" Syd asked as Cole turned to him. "Hey, it's Kat's party. She deserves a lot of the attention. All the good deeds she's done, she needed it." Cole said as he drank his beverage. "Ah, you really care. I thought you-" "No way detective. I'm not like that. If I wanted a party I would have asked. Besides, Kat is important right now." Cole replied as Syd smiled.
"Your really kind, Cole. No one can tell but I know. Haha, your not hiding that tough guy act from me." "Very funny Syd." The two drank once more as Dusty came out and spotted Cole and Syd.
"Huh, looks like Dusty wondered where you went off too. That shows how much the two of them care for you." Syd spoke as Dusty meowed once more as Cole stroked his chin, making Dusty purr.
"You deserve some appreciation too, little guy." Cole spoke, making Dusty meowed cheerfully. Finishing scratching Dusty's chin, the cat himself floated onto his shoulder, Syd laughed as Cole shook his head.
"Dusty, where- Ah! Hey! So this is where you two are?" Kat asked as Syd expressed with a cheesy smile. "I was looking for Cole, he wandered off and I uh… yeah." Syd said as Raven came out. "What's going on?" She asked as Cole shook his head. "Oh, there they are. Looks like Cole didn't leave after all." Echo said as Cole looked at Kat. "Oi, come on back in already, Seems Cole had a little surprise on the table." Aujean spoke as Cole's eyes shot out as Kat went back in to see what's what.
"When did you do this?" Newt asked as Cole looked at the small box. "Well being a Courier has its advantages. If you know the places well you have no problem." Cole explained as Kat turned to him. "You never told me you had a job." She said as Cole shrugged. "Go ahead and open it." Eugie spoke as Kat opened her present. Her present was a cat shaped shard, decorated as a necklace. Glowing in a bluish hue, Kat and everyone stared at it in amazement as the Gravity Queen turned to him. "H-how did you afford this?" She asked, "Well that… I got someone to help me with a spare blast shard I kept in my sling bag. I didn't have any use of it back at New Maris, so I asked someone from the jewelry shop to help me out. I turned the shard into a cat shaped form, the jewelry shop owner added two of these on there for the final touch for helping him get rid of a couple of Nevi. With the Courier job I had going on with saving up some money, it wasn't a hassle." Cole explained, everyone was amazed by its glow.
"I love it. Cole, this is the sweetest thing you have ever given to me!" Kat floated to him as she embraced in a hug. Cole blushed like a tomato, grinding his teeth, realizing everyone was watching. "This is emba- nnh." Cole couldn't finish his sentence as Raven and Yunica stared at the two, smiling.
A few hours later as the party was done, Cole and Raven started to chat as the black and red haired girl stared at Kat.
"You actually made that. Now I'm starting to get jealous." Raven said, making Cole chuckled a bit. "That's not like you." Cole replied as Raven crossed her arms, Cole got his sling bag, grab something out of the bag. "I got something for you too." Cole spoke, Raven turned to him as she wondered what was in the box.
"Here." Cole said as she pulled out a Raven shaped jewelry from the box. The bird shaped shard glowed just like Kat's, Raven couldn't believe what she was looking at. "Cole… I don't know what to say." "You and Kat are both special. If you don't want it, I-" "No! I… I love it. Thank you, Macgrath. I'm glad you gave this to me." Cole nodded as Raven headed off.
She looked at the jewelry once more, gripping it as she breathe in and out. "I'll cherish it, Cole." Raven whispered to herself.
Kat looked at her jewelry as she grips hers and placed it onto her chest. "I'll treasure this, Cole" Kat whispered to herself"
Cole looked at his lightning as he closed his eyes and grips his hands into a fist softly. "I'll spend my time here, no matter how long it takes." Cole said to himself
(To whoever is reading this, from the flashbacks I did, you can choose what story I can make out of them. Somewhat of some adventures/misadventures of Cole Macgrath, Kat, Raven and the others. It's up to you guys or whatnot. I'll make some time to do some like the Shifters meeting Kessler in Cole's subconscious.)
End of flashback
The area was filled with the vortex. Kat and Raven are caught in it. Syd, who was sent to investigate, also was in the vortex. And Cole Macgrath was also dragged into the storm, Cole wasn't sure what will happen but he knew he'll have to be ready for what's coming. Cole started to have visions. The visions that he had during the time at Empire City. They have come to show him a lot. Kat's future, The orphans, new people that he will encounter. Raven being brainwashed, Syd's death, Cole couldn't keep up with the visions put in him as he sees Kat's final battle, another vision of Raven saying why, the last image he sees was Alden, invading Eto, with his own army that he created, as the new Beast, siding with a woman of yellowish light, or so it seems. Cole felt the new surge with a scream as his powers shot out like an explosion. The electricity shot out like an outlet as Cole couldn't control the overload of visions. He fainted as his powers protected him like a shield. The last few visions showed him of Kat losing Dusty, another vision showing Kat wearing a red dress, singing, and another vision of Kat, learning about her past, and so on.
Cole started to see Kat calling his name, in different scenarios. From the past days of staying around Hekseville, he sees her in flashbacks.
"Hi Cole!"
"Hey Cole, it's great to see you."
"Cole, are you ok?"
"Cole?"
"Ah, Cole! Don't look!
"Hehe, Dusty, Cole is trying to focus.
"Cole! You dummy!"
"Ugh, Cole."
"Sometimes I don't get you, Cole."
"Cole. Your so silly."
"Cole, Raven's here. Let's go!
"I have not, Cole!"
"Hahaha, Co~le!"
"You can somersault too? That's amazing, Cole!"
"Do your best Cole!"
"Parkour huh? Can I try it sometimes Cole?
"Sir Macgrath, is there anything else you need?"
"You think us heroes deserve a break, Cole?
"We make an excellent team Cole. You, me and Raven. No matter what the odds, we can protect everyone."
"Cole. Your so sweet."
"I love you Cole. Thank you for being there for us."
He doesn't want to lose the times he had with Kat, Raven, Syd, Yunica, Chad, Newt, Echo, Cyanea, Gade, Aujean, Eugie, everyone that's important to him. The mother cat and her kittens, the little girl and her mother that he met as he rescued her balloon, and so on. But still.
He knows that it is up to Kat to face her problems and challenges coming in the near future, not his. But why show him these visions of Kat and everyone's future?
It is unknown what will happen. He doesn't want to say goodbye to his new friends and family. Not Kat… Not Raven… Not Syd… the two shifters that Cole loved very much, and a really good friend that Cole could chat with, Syd too is like Zeke to him, in a way. All three of them are special in their own way. And he was glad to be there for them. The entire district was dragged into the vortex as Cole started to faint.
In due time, he will see the answers that will come to him. Until the day the Gravity Queen's final battle has come.
Ever since the four heroes we're absorbed by the gravity storm, all four of them we're separated from a different scenario.'
Kat and Syd are at another place, Banga Village. however they're miners, working for an individual that runs the town.
'Raven… Dusty… Cole… I missed them. I wish I could do something right now.' The gravity queen, now with no guardian, has to do what it takes to adapt with the locals from a different town, and get her powers back.
Somewhere in the floating city of Jirga Para Lhao…
Raven, donning a mask and having purple streaks on her hair, stared at the city. The shifter was brainwashed, believing to be Night Gale. No doubt the city's rich are oppressing its poor through military force, the situation is dire… or so it seems.
Afar from another town…
an old hooded man watched from the top of the building. His cold stare gazed upon the world as he controlled the metal pieces. He was powerful, he was… unimaginable. He remembers everything he has been through, especially being dissected as an experiment by Moya's group.
"…I don't know what you have done to bring me here… but soon, when I find that punk bast*rd, Macgrath, no one will dare look down, nor disrespect me… You hear me?! Never… Never! NEVE~~~R!" With a blood curdling shout that echoed around Jirga Para Lhao, he gathered so much metal, he made his own utopia in a matter of seconds. The citizens saw how the fort was made, with so much metal to be put in place, The new Alden's tower was made, including an army of his own, made of metal and steel in a matter of minutes. Alden has returned for revenge. And was ready to crush this world into oblivion with adaptive force.
Cole, floating above the sky, started to wake up, he scanned the area as he spotted two individuals he had never seen before. As they went on their way he checked on his powers. All was good. His flight ability was intact, all seemed normal for now. Somehow, he was worried if they were gone, but instead he felt a surge of his cool blue electricity giving him new strength than he had ever imagined.
Soldiers approached him as the Cole and the military stared.
"Something I can help you with?" Cole asked as they military aimed at the conduit. Cole stared coldly as he readied himself.
Kat: So we're stopping here?
Looks like it.
Kat: Aww.
What did you think?
Kat: Will have to wait and see what the readers have to say. I'm curious of the some stuff you put in for Cole, is it somewhat related to the comics as well?"
Yes. The Post Blast comic and the six issue comic that was left out for the game. All of the stuff that was in the story was from the comic as well.
Mina: that's interesting. I wish they didn't have to put the gap for those issues.
If there's a remastered version, I doubt they put that in the game as DLC.
Isaac: So what's next?
It's getting too crowded- I mean who knows what's next.
Genius: I got a feeling there might be more. What about the other fanfic?
Needs more time. Why is it that I can't do that instead of doing these other ones i'm making?
