Roy's Wife
Roy's wife is a plain woman. She is not as beautiful as the women Roy has dated in the past. Her skin is neither fair nor her hair long and silky. The thin glasses perched on her nose and the hunched shoulders do not flatter her overall appearance at all. Fashionable is the last word one would apply to her. Men don't look twice at her when she walks pass by.
Roy's wife is a peculiar woman. She likes romance as any other civilian women but is too preoccupied and oblivious to have one. She is like one of the wallflowers in a ball who didn't even care. There are many things in the world that interest her more than men.
Roy's wife is a clumsy woman. She trips on things and misspeaks on most occasions. She is dramatic, tends to overreact and assumes things illogically. She was not the type to be a politician's wife, as she makes too many blunders and is too honest for her own good. It is a good thing that Roy has decided to stop pursuing the Fuhrer's seat, or she would have been a dangerous mistake.
However, Roy's wife is a stubborn woman. Despite her shyness and lack of power in a physical sense, she possesses the will and determination of a lioness that hunts for a deer. She will do whatever she thinks is right, even when she is scared and alone with nobody to support her.
Roy's wife is also a simple woman. She ignores all the attempts of the women who attempt to steal her husband's affection. She laughs all the claims of adultery that always surround Roy and believes that Roy is innocent. She also never complains of Hawkeye's weekly visit. Her eyes always welcome her warmly, respectfully, and trusting, sometimes making the lieutenant wonder if she ever has the jealousy that is pretty common when your husband's best friend happens to be another woman.
Roy neither loves nor worships his wife. He doesn't believe in love. However, he respects and cares about her, and in return, she respects and cares about him too. They even don't know each other's pasts, but they are content enough to know each other's selves, enough not to make excessive demands. And that was all it takes for the two live side-by-side peacefully.
Roy's wife is not the best woman in the world. However, Roy believes that she is the best woman for him.
