Author's note: This is my very first crossover between RWBY and Evangelion. As well as my first attempt at an Evangelion story in many years now. For those who're wondering what the hell I've been doing, well, let me tell you. It has been nothing but hell for me last year, I have to deal with my job which can be a pain since I have to wake up so fucking early in the morning, the issues with the so-called pandemic that's been going on is ruining everyone's lives. Plus my dad and I have gotten into an argument, that's lasted since last year on December. I'll spare you the details but I really hope, and pray that this nightmare ends sooner before it destroys my family.

Now, as for my stories, because of what's been happening since last year, I've had to chop away at this writer's block ,piece by piece, I'm sheer lucky enough my other friend, yugiohfan163, is helping me update the new chapter for Twisted Love Chronicles. Now I know everyone's waiting on one of my stories, so you'll have to be patient, cause the moment if and when I update at least like one or two of my other stories, I plan to read one of my books that I've been wanting to read since I got them. And I have another RWBY story to work on, it's called RWBY: Scars of Remnant, it's a viewing only story that's taken place after the events of volume 7, now I don't care what people say about the current volume(s), I still think they're great in their own right.

In any case this story was inspired by the One Piece/RWBY story; The New Era of Remnant, where team RWBY ended up in the world of One Piece, and came back to Remnant with Devil Fruit powers. The concept's the same with this story, only with Evangelion instead. This will be a mix of the anime and the Rebuild movies so no flames or any complaints. Just sit back, read, and enjoy.

Prologue.

It's been at least a week since the Breach and the capturing of the wanted criminal mastermind, Roman Torchwick, Ruby Rose and her team had just returned to their dorm room after helping clearing up any stray Grimm.

"Ah, finally, a nice soft bed." Ruby sighs blissfully as she collapsed on her bed.

"No kidding. I don't know about you guys but I'm so looking forward to a nice hot shower." Yang said with an excited grin to wash all the dirt and grim off.

"For once Yang you'll get no argument from me." Weiss breathed out while sitting on her bed.

"Same." Blake said from on top of her bed. That was then she noticed something by the pillow. Blake picks it up and held it in front of her. It was a small coin sized mask, a white mask with a birdlike beak. "Hey guys look at this."

Ruby, Yang and Weiss saw what Blake was looking at and stared at it in curiosity. "What the heck's that? Where'd you find it?" Ruby asked her friend.

"I found it near my pillow. Don't know what it is though." Blake shrugs while holding the small mask in the light.

"Hey there's one on my bed too." Yang called out, holding a similar bird mask in her fingers.

"I found one too!"

"Same with me."

Both Ruby and Weiss showed their teammates the same bird mask in their hands as well. "Who do you think left these here?" Ruby questioned. "Cause, I don't remember even having this thing before."

"If this is some elaborate prank or someone trying to steal from us while we were out, then they're sadly mistaken." Weiss grumbles at the thought of some pervert combing through their belongings.

"Well whoever left these in here, we can take it up with the professors, cause I for one really wanna shower now." Yang said before tossing the mask back on her bed and heading for the bathroom.

"She's right. It's been a rough day for us all. We'll deal with this in the morning." Blake stated which Ruby and Weiss nods.

A couple of hours later all four girls had taken a shower, and changed into their PJs. They all climbed into their beds and began to fall asleep, however, unknown to the girls on their beds the masks suddenly glowed and the whole room was bathed in light, and when it died down, all four beds were completely empty.

(1 day later)

In the empty dorm room of team RWBY all was quiet until...

A flash of light appears in the room again and the sounds of bodies hitting the floor, and the familiar voices of team RWBY crying out as they fell on the floor. The one major difference with them is that they were wearing different clothing. Ruby wore what appears to be a skin tight body suit that's a mix of red, black and a few blue and purple spots.

Weiss wore a pure white skin suit with an icy blue color into the mix.

Blake wore a black and yellowish skin suit.

And finally Yang wore a bright golden yellow and purple skin suit.

However the girls themselves had various injuries, scruff marks and a few tears into their suits. In a sense...they all look like they've been through Hell.

Ruby was the first to get up from the floor, gasping loudly, with her eyes wider than humanly possible when she saw that they were in their room. "...B-B-Beacon..." She gasped before getting up and rushing to the window and saw that they were indeed back at Beacon academy.

"You guys! WE'RE BACK!" She exclaimed which got their attention.

"Y-You mean...we're home?" Blake asked with eyes wide with disbelief.

Yang rushes over to the window and saw they are indeed home. "No joke...You guys...we're finally home!" She turns to face them with a smile, only for it to instantly vanished when she saw her sister collapsing on her knees, her face buried in her hands and sobbing loudly.

"...S-S-Shinji!" Ruby wept into her hands. "My poor Shinji!"

She wasn't the only one who was weeping. Weiss's eyes were flowing with tears as she hugged herself and leans against the wall sliding down. "S-Shinji...my sweet...sweet, Shinji!" She sobbed with tears continuously flowing freely.

Blake buried her face on her pillow, her sobbing could be heard as she hugged the pillow like a lifeline. "N-NO! Not my Shinji...please...not Shinji!" Blake wailed into the pillow in utter despair.

Yang's eyes were wide with tears flowing and they immediately turned blood red as she held her head with her hair shadowing her eyes. She clenches her hands so tightly blood was oozing from her fingers. "...Gendo...Misato..." She snarled so angrily before falling on her knees and raised her fist high in the air. "GODS DAMN YOU ALLLL!" She shouted in pure anger as she strikes the floor with so much force, it actually not only shook their room but possibly the whole academy like an earthquake.

The sounds of rushing footsteps were heard and the door bursts open to reveal professor Goodwitch, who looked angry with what just happened. "MISS XIAO LONG! What is the meaning of thi-" Glynda stops herself from scolding the blonde brawler when she saw team RWBY not only wearing different outfits, but they looked utterly miserable, so broken. They didn't even acknowledged their professor as they continued to weep and cry in total despair and grief, so much so the very air around them was so thick and heavy, Glynda felt like she was suffocating.

Glynda's faces softened upon seeing the broken forms of her students, and heard someone coming behind her, she turns and saw Ozpin standing behind her. "Professor Ozpin...I..."

Ozpin only raised his hand up which she stops.

"I would like to know what's wrong with team RWBY myself, Glynda, but first...let's give them time to recover from...whatever it is that's left them in this state." Ozpin said before looking back at the distraught team. "Once they've collected themselves. Have them brought to my office so we can find out what's happened."

Glynda blinks a few times before sighing softly and nods. "Understood sir." She said.

Both professors gazed at team RWBY with saddened expressions before leaving them to mourn and grieve in their room. Many questions raced through their minds. What has happened to them? What has made their students become so stricken with grief and filled with despair and agony? But most importantly...

'Who. Is. Shinji?'

Insert opening- Kiss of Death by Mika Nakashima

It begins with a vast sea of blood as far as the eye can see, before a darken image of Eva Unit-01 appeared.

[Soba ni kite kuzureyuku yokusei]

The mech vanished to show Ruby completely bare and leaning back to the audience, before shifting to show Yang laying on her side, leaning up to gaze at the viewers.

[Boku wo kowagaranaide Ah]

Next was Blake seen holding a shadowed figure in her embrace, while Weiss was sitting on the ground before turning to the viewers. And finally Ruby was seen briefly smiling before leaning back as the screen rippled like water and various cross-shaped stars flickered across the screen.

[Tobenai tori ga yume mita sora]

The camera showed Shinji Ikari in his plug suit with a downcast expression, walking aimlessly across a red barren wasteland, before the screen flickers to show a younger version of him walking through the streets of Tokyo-3.

[Majiwatteku iro sore wa chigau red]

Team RWBY was then seen as well wearing plug suits of their own, walking beside the young pilot, as they along with the sea of red were swallowed in a spiral, Shinji's hands were briefly seen being held as were his shoulders, before he looks back at the camera, and was seen with team RWBY now closer to him, before crossing through him in an X formation.

[Doa wo tataku oto ni boku wa mimi wo fusaida]

The screen showed places from both Remnant and Tokyo-3, then Jaune was seen slicing through two Beowolves before flashing a smile at the viewers. Then Nora was seen smashing an Ursa with her hammer, before twirling it and placing it on her shoulder, flashing a victory sign at the viewers

[Tataiteru no wa kimi? Sore to mo hoka no?]

Pyrrha was seen shooting a few rounds from her rifle, while giving a surprised look at the viewers, and Ren was darting and dashing through a wave of Grimm. Then portraits of team JNPR, along with Sun, Neptune, Rei, Asuka, Glynda and Ozpin were seen flashing across the screen.

[Will your lips taste the kiss of death?]

Ruby's lips were seen licking away blood, then a shot of blood was seen being poured, before switching to Ruby holding Shinji's face and kisses him.

[Daarin unmei ga kekkan wo hashiru yo]

Shinji was then shot backwards, then catapulted into the air. During this, the background transitions from red to the sky, Eva Unit-01 then catches and placed him in the Plug before running closer to the point of view, letting out a mighty roar.

[Ugoki hajimeta sekai ...ai?]

Unit-01 lands beside Eva units 00, 02 and four other Eva units in the color scheme of team RWBY. While Misato, and Gendo were seen, before switching to places between the kingdoms of Remnant and NERV HQ, Ritsuko was seen briefly before Cinder and her team appeared and lastly Salem appears smiling before the viewers, while Ruby's eye was seen glowing brightly.

[Dare yori mo tokeaitai yo daarin]

The four Eva Units of team RWBY were seen coming together to hold something between them, before they broke apart to reveal the cockpits to Shinji. They broke apart to reveal team RWBY smiling and reaching out to Shinji.

[Boku wo kowagaranaide Kiss me now]

The girls move in and bring the young pilot in their arms, shielding him with their love as he smiles and a tear fell, then the title appears before them as everything went white and the weapons of team RWBY along with the spear of Longinus, were seen together below the title before everything faded into darkness.

Well, there you have it, the first chapter of a new story. Sorry if it's short but it's either this or work on it even longer. Like I said before a lot has happen to me, so I'm hoping that I'll finish updating my other two stories, before working on Scars of Remnant the moment the 8th volume's finished. And as for the pairing, right now it's Shinji and Team RWBY until I can finalize the rest later.
