"Anything yet?" Ben asked as Kevin drove his car through Bellwood with everyone in it but Ally, who was driving outside on her bike.
"Not yet. But the scanner indicates some Level 20 technology somewhere near here,' Kevin (who was wearing his ID mask) said.
"Level 20?" Becky asked, shocked.
"But that's impossible," Gwen said. "The only Level 20 tech in the whole galaxy is..."
"The Omnitrixes," Jen said as she and her brother showed their left wrists. "And they're kind of stuck to our wrists."
"Did you find Albedo and Alexia's Omnitrixes near here?" Ally asked from the speaker.
"Actually, whatever we're tracking is Level 20 Plus. The scale on this computer doesn't go any higher."
"Is there a point to this anymore?" Ben yawned. "We've been driving all night and we haven't found anything."
"Hang on," Gwen said. "Before we give up, Jen and I should try something."
The two vehicles pulled over as Jen got out of Kevin's car and stretched.
"Okay, why didn't Ben and me take our cars again?"
"Because one car and a bike attracts less attention than three cars and a bike," Becky said. "Don't want Bellwood getting suspicious."
"What's the plan," Jen asked.
"Okay, you know how our powers have trouble with inorganic matter?"
"Yeah?"
"Well... what if it works the other way around?"
"Oh," Ally said. "So maybe if your mana hit something that's super high-tech..."
Jen nodded as her eyes glowed pink and she clasped her hands together before slowly drawing them apart, creating a medium-sized orb of mana between her hands as she shouted out and slammed the ground with her mana, sending a massive wave of mana surging across Bellwood.
A few seconds later, the team saw a massive flash of green light in the distance.
"Got it," Ben said.
The team eventually made their way into the alleyway where the flash of light originated from.
Ben and Jen put their arms in front of their teammates to stop them as they approached the green glow and stepped forwards to see... a black box with a green light seeping from the cracks.
"So... what is it?' Gwen asked.
"No clue," Jen said. "Kevin?"
"I don't know."
"Really?!" Ben asked. "Whenever we're dealing with alien technology, you always know."
"It's not like any alien tech I've ever seen, Ben.'
Ben stepped forwards to investigate the box as Becky raised an eyebrow.
"Be careful, Ben."
"Two words that contradict each other," Kevin said.
"I think you mean it's an oxymoron," Becky whispered.
"Some kind of moron."
Jen facepalmed and shook her head. "Remind me again why we're friends?"
Ben then gave the slightest tap to the box and it instantly morphed into an exact copy of him, clothes and all, but with glowing green eyes.
"Wow. That is freaky. Even for alien tech," Ally said as everyone stepped back.
"I think we should get back in the car."
"And run away?" Ben asked.
"And run it over!"
"Run away," the Ben replica said in a robotic voice.
"Woah," Ben said.
"Woah," the replica repeated, tone and all.
"What are you? Where did you come from?"
"What are you? Where did you come from?"
"Cut it out!"
"Cut it out!"
"I don't sound like that!"
"I don't sound like that!"
"Um, you kind of do," Gwen said.
"I think that if you touch this thing, it becomes you and copies everything you say," Becky said, putting a finger on her chin.
"Huh. I bet a lot of aliens would pay top dollar for a robotic version of themselves."
Suddenly, as he got close, the robot changed its form into Kevin.
"Cool," Kevin said, not realizing the robot mimicking his movements. "What do you say we load this handsome devil into the car, take him home and see what makes him tick."
"What do you say we load this handsome devil into the car, take him home and see what makes him tick?"
"Okay, that's getting a little annoying."
"Okay, that's getting a little annoying."
"Knock it off."
Kevin placed a hand on the robot, only to get shoved back even harder by the robot to the ground and his form shimmered.
"Great, you broke my ID Mask," Kevin said, taking off the mask to reveal his mutated form.
"Great, you broke my ID Mask," the robot said, taking on Kevin's mutated form.
"No problem," Ben said. "Let's just..."
However, the robot morphed back into Ben's form and he glared.
"You were saying?" Jen gulped.
"It's Hero Time!"
Ben slammed his Omnitrix core down, transforming into...
"Humungousaur!"
However, the robot copied his movements with his won Omnitrix and transformed as well.
"Humungousaur!"
Soon enough, they began fighting with Humungousaur slamming and bashing the robot into the brick wall, only for the duplicate Vaxasaurian to grab his fist and throw him down to the concrete. It picked up a nearby dumpster and brought it down, only for Humungousaur to avoid it and punch him in the maw twice. Unofrunately, the robot caught his fist and tossed him right into Kevin's car... again.
"Sorry," Humungousaur said as he transformed back.
"Okay, that's it!"
Kevin morphed his arm into a sword and avoided the robot's fist before slicing his arm off, sending shrapnel falling to the ground.
Ally then snuck up behind him and slammed him with her mace arms and shouted out in fury.
"Nice shot, guys," Gwen said, impressed.
"Thanks. Guess they don't make alien robots like they used to.
No one took notice of the glowing green cube in the center of the rubble as it levitated all the parts towards itself and they reformed the robot into Ally's form, morphing its arms into maces.
"Oops," she said before she and Kevin were instantly swatted back into Gwen and Jen's telekinetic grip.
"Now it's my turn!" Jen said as she transformed into...
"Kung Fang!" the Chirropterran shrieked, drawing her katanas.
The robot, unfazed, shifted its parts and shifted to Kung Fang's form itself.
"Kung Fang!"
"Yeah, I probably should've seen that coming," she deadpanned.
"Yeah, I probably should've seen that coming."
The two charged at each other, clanking swords against swords as the robot spun around and delivered a roundhouse kick to Kung Fang's chest before she righted herself with her wings and threw out tons of shuriken that sliced into the robot's form before the robot did the same, sending her crashing down as she morphed back in a flash of pink light.
Gwen levitated in the air, eyes glowing magenta as she blasted the robot with two mana balls.
The robot, unfazed, shifted into Gwen's form, spun its top part around rapidly and started blasting out tons and tons of... physical pink disks that Gwen blocked with her force field.
"I got it!"
The robot stopped spinning and stuck its hands out like Gwen.
"I got it!"
Gwen dropped her forcefield and they looked back at Kevin's car with sheepish looks.
"What? Again?!"
They saw the pink disks stuck in Kevin's car as he seethed with anger at the robot before Jen blocked his path with a mana wall with crossed arms.
"Think before you act, dude."
"Why think? This thing's determined to wreck my ride!"
"It's sort of already wrecked," Ben said.
"Not much more to do..." Becky said.
"Don't encourage it!"
"Her."
"Are we really doing this again?" Jen asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Actually," Ally said, raising her eyebrow. "We aren't doing anything. And neither is that thing."
"I don't get it," Kevin said, raising an eyebrow.
"I do," Becky said. "It's copying whatever we do."
"We wanted to fight it so it fought," Gwen said. "Maybe let's do something else."
Gwen stepped up and started levitating in the air in a Zen position.
"We don't know who or what you are, so come on. Meditate with me."
Gwen closed her eyes and then looked down as the robot started meditating... on the ground.
"Meditate with me."
"I get it," Ben said. "As long as we stay calm..."
"It stays calm," Jen finished.
"So, you're going to just sit there?" Becky asked.
The robot then shifted its form to Becky's and she instinctively held her spear out as the robot did the same.
"Going to just sit there."
"Okay, good," Ally said, dusting her hands off. "As long as nothing sets this thing off, we should be fine."
The minute the words left the goth girl's lips, they heard a whirring and then a familiar ship zoomed into the atmosphere as Ben and Jen groaned.
"You mean like a spaceship landing?" Kevin asked.
"I've seen that ship before," Ben said.
"We all have," Gwen said as they ran off with the robot following them.
Out in the street the team saw the ship land and out stepped the two intergalactic hillbillies they hoped never to see again.
"Oh man!" Jen said as everyone got into a combat stands. "Not these guys again!"
"The Vreedle Brothers," Ben confirmed.
"It appears you've got something that belongs to us. Again," Octagon said.
"It's good to see you too," Ally chuckled.
"I do believe we have ascertained the location of the previously discussed valuable object."
"We did?" Rhomboid asked.
"Didn't you notice that there are two Rebecca Tennysons here?" Octagon asked his brother. "One of which is of obviously inferior workmanship and quality?"
"I think that means you," Gwen whispered to the real Becky.
"Thanks, sis. I knew I could count on you," Becky deadpanned as Rhomboid stepped up to the team. "You know what this thing is?"
"Sure. This thing's a regular Naljian Destructor. A weapon of ludicrous power," Octagon said. "We've been searching for this thing for longer than you can imagine."
"Yeah, since last Thursday when we heard about the rewarp."
"Don't tell me," Ben said. "Someone hired you to repossess it for them."
The Vreedle Brothers only laughed at Ben, hard.
"Heck no! We're takn' it for ourselves," Rhomboid answered.
"What would you do with it?" Ally asked.
"Why, auction it off to the highest bidder of course."
"Not that our business is any of your... business. Now step aside. We've got some repossessin' to do."
Ben and Jen said nothing as the Vreedles walked away with the Destructor and transformed into...
"Heatblast!"
"Firefox!"
Two fireballs hit the ship and the Vreedles looked behind to see a clearly pissed off Omni-Team standing there.
"Not letting you take it, mates," Firefox said. "It's too dangerous to be in your hands."
"If you want to know what's dangerous, take a look-see at that gander yonder," Rhomboid said, blasting his weapon at Swampfire, who morphed his plant-like body around it.
The twins blasted fireballs at the Vreedles as they dodged and the Destructor took notice of the twins lobbing fireballs at the Vreedles.
Suddenly, they were both knocked silly by glowing red balls of some sort. They got up from the ground to see the Destructor had shifted its form to Heatblast as well.
"Hey, knock it off!" Heatblast shouted. "We're trying to protect you."
"Hey, knock it off! We're trying to protect you!"
The twins ducked the red balls coming from the Destructor's hands.
"Lady Luck has most decidedly smiled upon our endeavor," Octagon announced. "The robot is on our side."
Suddenly, the Destructor shifted its form to Octagon's and started blasting at the others as Gwen put up a shield to block the balls.
"Hey, no fair!" Firefox snarled. "Vreedles can't shoot fireballs!"
"This time, when I pound you, you're staying pounded!" Kevin shouted, morphing his hand into a hammer and the robot did the same... just before Kevin was blasted aside by Octagon.
"Ha! Gotcha!"
"Whoo, good shootin'," Rhomboid said, before both hit the dirt from the arrows that Becky was firing with a glare.
"Much to my chagrin, that's pretty good shootin' too!" Octagon shouted.
The Vreedles ducked behind their ship as the robot approached them as the others blasted after them.
"That's it. Just a little closer. Come to your good ol' uncle Octagon.
"Good ol' Uncle Octagon," the robot said.
The robot marched over to the ship and the others looked on in dismay.
"They're getting away!" Heatblast shouted.
"No duh," Kevin said
"We'll give you some cover," Gwen said as she, Becky and Ally prepared themselves as Becky tossed Ally the energy cannon that she brought with her.
But it was too late. As Heatblast, Firefox and Kevin ran over to the ship, it took off from the ground and blasted off into the outer atmosphere, away from our heroes as Gwen shielded them all and they recovered from their sudden failure.
"So, anyone up for a smoothie?" Firefox deadpanned.
As Ben brought the smoothies to the team, he snatched the cupholder away from Kevin before he could grab his.
"Not so fast. Where's my money?"
"You're buying," Kevin said as he simply took a smoothie himself.
"Because?"
"Because we got beat by the Vreedle Brothers of all foes," Becky sighed.
"They've got a point, Ben," Gwen said. "The Vreedles aren't very smart.
"So what does that make us then?" Jen asked, sipping at her smoothie.
"I'm just saying. That robot didn't seem much like an alien super weapon."
"Then what do you think it is?" Ally asked, getting up from leaning on her bike.
"I don't know."
Everyone sipped at their smoothies as Kevin sighed.
"I'm sort of glad they took the thing. The way it imitated all of us was really starting to creep me out."
"I'm sort of glad they took the thing. The way it imitated all of us was really starting to creep me out," Ben joked.
"I do not sound like that."
"You kinda do," Becky nudged.
Suddenly, everyone looked up as they heard the familiar whir of a spaceship overhead and saw the Vreedle Brothers' ship flying overhead.
"Oh, what now?" Jen groaned.
"The Vreedles twice in one night? It's like the opposite of Christmas!" Kevin said.
"No kidding. I had enough of these rednecks the first time," Ally said, cracking her knuckles.
"Fine," Ben said as everyone pressed their watches one by one and were instantly suited in their hero outfits. "When we win, I want the money for the smoothies."
"Here's the thing," Octagon said as he and Rhomboid exited the ship and confronted our heroes. "My brother and I would like to sincerely apologize for our outrageous behavior earlier."
"It was so wrong," Rhomboid said as everyone trained their weapons and powers on them as Ben and Jen aimed the blasters from their gauntlets with their green and pink energy swords generated from their left gauntlets.
"Okay. I'm almost afraid to ask you guys," Jen said, raising her eyebrow. "What happened?"
"Well, we was on our way to sell the thing and some robot cop tried to make us pull over," Rhomboid explained.
"Or in other words, for you guys, Tuesday," Huntress said, aiming her bow carefully.
"They took exception to us blasting the toll booth," Octagon said.
"I didn't have no change."
"I'm not following?" Ben said.
"The robot may have taken the wrong lessons from our completely reasonable actions."
"What do you mean 'took the wrong lessons?'" Lucky Girl asked.
That was when the back of the ship flew off and into the parking lot as Octagon deadpanned.
"It learned it really likes destroying things."
The robot stepped out of the ship as Humungousaur and morphed its arms into the Vreedles' blasters with a growl. It started firing lasers at every corner, sending the civilians scattering off screaming.
Soon enough, the entire corner and the entire Mr. Smoothie restaurant setting was completely demolished as the Vreedles stepped back into their ship.
"Oh man!" Ben said.
"So," Matter Girl said, crossing her arms. "I'd say after all the times we caused this place to be destroyed, we're going to all be banned for life soon."
"Safe bet, girl," Lucky Girl sighed.
Everyone looked back to the Vreedles and Octagon smirked wickedly.
"We don't want it anymore. So it's your problem now."
Rhomboid fired up the engines and the ship started flying through the sky... just as it was blasted into smithereens by the robot as it loomed behind them.
"It's your problem now."
"Well, we can say goodbye to the Vreedle Brothers," Huntress said.
"No big loss there," Jen said as they saw the robot shift its form to a twisted amalgamation of Kung Fang, Humungousaur and Heatblast with its weapons still trained on the six heroes.
"This isn't good."
"I really do say that a lot, don't I?" Ben realized.
"Yeah, it's getting old," Kevin said.
"What do we do? Anything we throw at this thing, it can instantly replicate," Matter Girl said.
"Wait..." Ben said as he chuckled. "I've got an idea."
He adjusted his Omnitrix and slammed the core down, transforming into...
"Lodestar!"
"Do your thing, girl," Lucky Girl whispered as Jen closed her eyes and crossed her arms before shouting out as she morphed into her Anodite form and started flying in the air.
"Of course! Lodestar has magnetic powers," Huntress realized. "You can just rip this thing apart at the seams."
"What good is that going to do? It regenerates," Kevin said.
"Not without a power supply," Jen said.
"If only we knew what it was..." Lodestar inquired.
Everyone then looked up at the monstrosity before them and saw the eerie green glow of the Omnitrix symbol and all came to the same conclusion.
"The glowing part in the middle," Matter Girls realized. "That's it."
"You sure?" Lucky Girl asked.
"No. But it's the best guess we have."
"We just need to be sure. When we attack..."
"Attack!" the robot shouted before blasting them as Jen quickly put up a mana wall to block the blasts as they all ducked behind some cars.
"Gwen!" Jen chided.
"Sorry. That was completely my bad."
They took notice of the robot firing its lasers at the cars and Lodestar raised an eyebrow.
"I think I can slow it down."
He raised his pincers and started levitating the cars in the air before tossing them at the roobt, sending it stumbling back as it was met with several mana blasts from Jen as she flew over to it and shouted out as she fired mana lasers from her eyes that sent the robot back as Huntress took aim and fired several explosive arrows from her crossbow at its legs, sending it stumbling back as Kevin morphed his hands into a mace and a hammer and bashed its legs, sending it crashing down as Ally fired her energy cannon and blasted a hole right in its chest cavity.
The robot raised its cannon and blasted at Kevin, knocking him into a stray car. It blasted again just as Kevin rolled out of the way.
"We can't keep this up forever," Becky said, somersaulting away from the a laser blast just before Gwen was blasted out of the sky and fell into her sister's strong arms.
Lodestar nodded as he used his magnetism to lift every single car in the parking lot, barring the team's own cars and pelted the robot with the cars, sending it crashing down to the ground as Ally nodded and morphed her hands into blades.
"Nice one. Now it's my turn!"
She leaped up and started stabbing at the Omnitrix symbol, but before she could cause significant damage, the robot grabbed her and morphed its hand into a mace.
"Uh oh."
She was instantly smacked with the mace and sent flying through the air, screaming her head off as Gwen raised her hand.
"Tur-bo!"
A magenta vortex came from her hand and caught Ally in the air and lowered her to the ground as everyone looked to her.
"I still study my magic with Grandma, you know."
"You okay?" Lodestar asked.
"Ugh. I've been worse."
"Well, you put a crack in it. I can pull it open."
"And I can grab the power source," Jen said.
Lodestar used his magnetism to pry open the crack in the robot's chest, causing it to cry out in pain.
"It's... working!"
The crack started sealing itself again as everyone gasped in shock.
"Well, it was working. It's fixing itself faster than I can pull it apart!"
"Give it one more good pull!" Becky ordered.
Lodestar nodded and used every bit of magnetic strength in him to pull the chest apart and Jen reached her hand out, sending a mana hand out that grabbed the Destructor's cube.
"I got it!"
The robot then instantly exploded, sending metal shrapnel everywhere as Jen placed the cube on the ground.
"We got him too," Ben said as he transformed back.
"It's hard to believe that something so small can cause so much trouble," Gwen sighed.
"Can we just destroy this thing already?" Kevin asked.
Ben aimed his gauntlet's blasters at the cube... when suddenly a being made entirely of blue fire appeared and floated over to our heroes.
"Who are you?" Ben asked.
"Whoever she is, she needs to get out of our way. This thing is a dangerous weapon. It needs to be destroyed!" Ally said.
"It's been nothing but trouble for us all night," Jen said.
"Trouble?" the being asked. "That's impossible. But then again, you are remarkably unintelligent."
"We've been hearing that all day," Ben said.
"I did not mean to offend. It's just that you humans are a very young species. You only perceive three dimensions, am I right?"
"Okay? How many dimensions are there?" Becky asked.
"Only 26 that matter. You will work it out soon. My point is that this 'dangerous weapon' you fear is actually nothing more than my daughter's favorite toy."
"Say what now?" Ally asked.
"We were on an afternoon excursion to the lower dimensions and she must have dropped it out of her carriage. I've been looking everywhere for it."
"It's a toy?" Ben asked, everyone's jaws on the floor.
The being sent the cube to the metal shrapnel all around the area and it was instantly absorbed into the toy.
"Maybe now she'll stop crying. Oh, and you guys should really be more careful. This toy is clearly labeled 'Not for children under three million years old.'"
The being disappeared in a flash of fire and they saw the wreckage of the Mr. Smoothie as everyone deadpanned.
"All of this madness was over a toy?" Jen asked.
"I would never let any kid of mine touch a toy like that."
"Run away."
Everyone gasped at the metallic voice and turned to see Ben speaking into an aluminum can.
"Gotcha."
Everyone groaned and folded their arms at the lame joke Ben pulled and Ben sighed and facepalmed at his own lack of humor.
Next time on Ben and Jen 10:
Con of Rath and Fury
