Author's Note: To celebrate the 4th anniversary of New Link and having Yumi x Fubuki as the stars. Oh, it's been so long since I last wrote about them. Now I will be able to enjoy them. Hehe.

The cold never bothers Fubuki. Not does Yumi for that matter. However, they are still human, so they need to keep warm. In a cottage that the two are staying at during a snowstorm, they decided to get some rest there. They ran into each other when Yumi was planning on training alone that time. The snow storm began to hit and the two needed to take shelter. So they found an abandoned cottage and decided they have no choice. Fortunately, there was food and drinks, so Yumi cooked a decent warm meal for them to eat tonight. And then, they decided to stay up for a while, sit in front of the fireplace to keep warm while under a large blanket.
Yumi is resting on Fubuki's lap while the half-breed is stroking her hair and playing with her white bow for a little bit. The pale-skinned woman looks down at her little step sister, giving a small smile. She then looks up to stare at the window, seeing the blizzard.
Yumi takes notice of her melancholic expression. "FuFu? What's the matter?"
Fubuki snaps out of it and closes her eyes while shaking her head. "Mmm…it's nothing, Yumi-chan. It's just that this snow storm…reminds me of when I was young."
"When it was the last time you saw your parents?" Yumi asks.
Fubuki nods. "I miss them so much. They gave me love…hope. But…you know how it was with humans and monsters. Even my parents knew it as well as anyone."
"I know…" Yumi snuggles against her big step sister's lap. "I know good and evil could not go together. But Asuka-san proved me wrong. "
"And you have as well," Fubuki says. "You were the one who reached to my heart."
Yumi looks up at her. "Of course I did. Because I love you very much."
Fubuki nods with a smile. But she suddenly begins to feel a lump in her throat and tears sting her eyes. Ever since her parents were gone, all Fubuki wanted was to be loved. Kurokage gave her love before he passed away. But Yumi was still there. She was there to give back the love she always wanted. She was truly happy.
"FuFu?" Yumi sits up, surprised to see her beloved big step sister crying. "Are you alright?"
The tears cannot stop, even when the half-breed tries to wipe them away. "I….miss them so much. It hurts, Yumi. It hurts so much…!" She hugs the Ice Ninja tightly, burying her face on her chest. "Hold me…please…"
"It's okay…it's okay…" Yumi returns the embrace and cradles her gently. She hears the half-breed break out into loud wails.
For the first time in her life, Fubuki is finally letting out what she has been holding back. It isn't her character, but she has been around Yumi enough to show her emotions, even it is just a little bit. Fubuki is crying in front of her little half-sister..and that is just fine.
About 10 minutes later, the crying ceases and it turns to some soft sniffling. Fubuki still rests her head on Yumi's chest.
"Are you feeling better?" The soft spoken Ice Ninja asks.
"A little bit…" The soft spoken Blizzard Ninja replies. "But…I'm grateful to have you beside me…to comfort me…"
"I'm alright with it, really," Yumi says. She then has an idea. "FuFu, I know something that might cheer you up."
"What is it?" Fubuki asks.
Yumi helps Fubuki stand on her feet and then head toward the bathroom for Yumi to grab a brush and start straightening her long dark tresses.
"What are you doing, Yumi?" She asks.
"You'll see~" Yumi replies as she calmly brushes her big half-sister's hair.
Fubuki closes her eyes and lets Yumi do her work. It takes about 10 minutes before Yumi sets the brush down. And then, she takes off her bow to put it on the back of Fubuki's head.
"Okay, you can look now~" Yumi says stepping back.
Fubuki opens her eyes and notices that her hair is straight and is wearing Yumi's white ribbon. She gasps softly and reaches back to touch it a little.
"Y-Yumi-chan…this is…" Fubuki says.
"Hehe!" Yumi covers her mouth elegantly. "You know what I always say: Cuteness is Justice~"
"Yumi…" Fubuki is surprised, yet happy that her little half-sister is doing this. It makes her feel very warm inside. "Yes…Cuteness is Justice."
Yumi clasps her hands together with hearts in her eyes. "Yes! You look very cute like that, my sweet FuFu! Ohhh, I love you so much~!" She gives her half-sister a tight hug.
"Yes…and I love you very much, too," Fubuki says, stroking her hair.
