John Phoenix placed the baby he had named X Wright in the hospital bed. John Phoenix smiled at X Wright. He was a cute baby and cute babies are good.
Just then the door opened and Karin Jenson walked in.
"Hello I'm afraid we are going to have to take X Wright away."
"What why?" said John Phoenix.
"Because we don't know who the father and the two-parent act enacted in 2050 states that both the father and mother of a child must be known and if the father is not known the mother cannot claim ownership of the child (it was established to prevent sex before marriage) therefore we must take the child and euthanise it."
"WHAT!" shouted John Phoenix.
John Phoenix used his psychic powers to throw the nurse against the wall and she died. He took the baby in his arms.
"I'll hold them back John Phoenix," said Uncle Phoenix. "I might die but I'll do it to protect you."
"Thanks Uncle Phoenix."
John Phoenix ran out and an alarm started blaring.
"ATTENTION! JOHN PHOENIX IS HELPING X WRIGHT ESCAPE!"
But then nobody came to stop him because they knew they had no chance of defeating him in a fight so John Phoenix ran out of the hospital with no resistance.
He went to the Phoenix and Co. Law Offices but stopped outside when he noticed Gumshoe and Ema were staking it out.
"Dang," said John Phoenix so as to not teach X Wright bad words, "the cops are after me."
John Phoenix took out his phone and dialed a friend's number.
"Hello, Storm? I need a place to stay."
"I'm always happy to help my good friend," said Storm as he let John Phoenix into his apartment, he had moved to the States after Charlie Lawrence blew up all of London in what has since been referred to as the LonCon incident.
John Phoenix placed X Wright into bed and he fell asleep instantly because he had a long and rough first day of life. John Phoenix patted the back of X Wright's head.
"Good night, X Wright."
