Chapter 1

Rain across the world had a habit of creating mixed emotions. Some loved it and found it to be completely relaxing. Others hated it because it just got in the way. Currently it was more of the latter for several young students. Especially those trapped in the 1-A dorms.

This particular night, 1-A was having a study session with some of the 1-B class in their dorm building. However, not everyone could make it so it was just Kendo, Pony, Ibara, Tetsutetsu, And unfortunately Monoma. What started off as a study session developed into them all separating to hang out. Tetsutetsu and Kirishima were having an arm wrestling match for the 5th time, Ibara was spending time with Koda caring for his rabbits along with Pony, Monoma was unconscious again after being himself, though wasn't knocked out by Kendo this time, and the big sister of 1-B was venting her issues to Yaoyorozu who was with Todoroki at the time.

Shinsou also joined the group since he was still working on entering the hero studies. There were rumors that he'd be joining class 1-B at some point. No one knew who would be swapped out though almost all of Class 1-A was hoping that it would be Monoma. Even some of 1-B was hoping the same thing. Because of this, the boy wasted no time getting to know some of his potentially future classmates.

Meanwhile, the big three were also visiting with Eri. Amajiki was overseeing the arm wrestling match with the two boys. Hado was hanging out with Tsuyu and Uraraka who were talking about certain folks at their school. Mirio took Eri to spend time with Izuku again, much to the delight of all three. The child even showed up dressed like Izuku in his hero costume. Everyone thought that it was adorable except for Monoma who thought it would be funny to insult her and ended up feeling Izuku's foot slam against his head, thus why he was unconscious now.

The other extra visitor was Mei who came to see the others. Turns out, she was banned from the workshop for a week. One of her 'babies' accidentally malfunctioned and injured All Might. She was working on a device to allow him to operate as a hero again. Since the ban, she began hanging out with Iida more frequently.

The last person to show up was young Kota. The Wild Wild Pussycats had a situation and Mandalay needed a babysitter to watch the boy. Thankfully Izuku was more than happy to volunteer since he and Kota bonded during the training with the mountain rescue team. And Kota was subtly hinting that he wanted to spend more time with the verdant that saved his life. Not that he would ever admit such a thing.

Halfway through the day, the school was hit with the heaviest rainstorm ever. It was so bad that they couldn't even take three steps outside without getting drenched. As evident when Izuku opened his window and got soaked, much to the amusement of the children. So they were stuck altogether in the dorm. Whilst this was the case, Ashido and Hagakure began thought that they would see what the youngest guests were up to.

They approached his dorm room to find, not only was no one there, but the door was left open. So being the mischievous girls that they were, they decided to investigate. Sure they got to see what his room was like when they all first moved in, especially since his was the first room. But they never got to truly delve through any possible hidden things in any of the rooms. Now as their opportunity to investigate their favorite cinnamon roll.

"What are you two doing in Deku's room?" they heard a young voice say from behind them.

Both teens turned around to find Kota standing behind them. While small, he still did his best to look fierce. That wasn't what had them both concerned though. It was the fact that one of the two children that idolized Izuku had caught them both in his room. And now he looked ready to call out for the boy.

Not that he had the chance since both of them rushed to grab the child. Hagakure managed to grab him and cover his mouth as she pulled him in the room. Once inside, Ashido quickly shut the door so that they weren't caught. Meanwhile, Kota kept struggling to get out of Hagakure's grip to the point where he bit her hand. The invisible girl was able to keep quiet despite the pain until Ashido rushed to her rescue saying, "No need to be so rash Kota. Let's make a deal."

This made Kota release Hagakure's hand, "Keep talking."

Ashido smiled mischievously, "If you help us find something interesting, you'll get a special treat."

"Such as?" Kota asked.

Ashido was about to answer, but she couldn't think of anything. Since she hadn't spent much time with Kota, she didn't know what he would want in return. So instead she replied, "What do you want?"

"That's for you to find out," Kota answered, "We can call it a favor for later. Deal?"

"Deal," Ashido said as she grabbed his hand and shook it.

Deciding to trust his word, Hagakure chose to set the child down and said, "So anything look interesting?"

Without missing a beat, Kota immediately walked over to Izuku's desk. He then moves a chair out of the way so that he could get at the bag stored underneath the leg space. Once the bag is in his hands, he brings it over to the girls. After opening the bag, they find books that don't look to be hero journals or textbooks, and they find odd looking papers. Both girls look at Kota with disbelief that he found something so quickly.

"Deku always had that under his desk whenever I was here," Kota explained, "I tried asking about what it was but he never said. He even looked embarrassed."

"You little bastard," Hagakure groaned, "You manipulated us to get something you wanted?"

Kota shrugged as he grinned almost as mischievously as Ashido.

Meanwhile, Ashido grabbed the bag and began walking out of the room with it, forgetting that Hagakure and Kota were still in Izuku's room. She began looking through the items inside and found what appeared to be character sheets. Some of them were even filled out while the rest were blank. She then started examining the book a little until she heard a voice behind her say, "Ashido."

Ashido then jumped slightly as she quickly turned around with the bag still in front of her. She spotted the source of the voice which happened to be the class cinnamon roll, Izuku a Midoriya himself. And he was currently staring at his bag which was now in her arms. Following his eyes, she immediately moved the bag behind her back, and smiled nervously. In an effort to change the subject, Ashido said, "Hey Midori. Where have you been?"

"Getting some ice for Monoma's head after I kicked him," Izuku answered coolly, "Now I'm going to watch you put that bag back where you found it in my room."

Now Ashido was sweating as she slowly backed away from him, "Bag? What bag? There's no bag. Why would you think that there was a bag?"

"Ashido," Izuku demanded more sternly as he slowly approached her, "The bag. Now."

Suddenly Ashido began running away from him and Izuku used his quirk to chase her. The two rushed all over the dorms, almost bumping into several groups on the way. There was one time where Izuku got close to getting her until she managed to maneuver away. The chase lasted for a few minutes before Ashido eventually ran into Mineta in the lobby and tripped over the tiny student. This caused the contents of Izuku's bag to spill out in front of the large crowd that had gathered in the lobby because of the chase.

Izuku tried to hurry and grab the bag along with the items that spilled out of it but they were picked up by Pony and Uraraka. Izuku blushed with embarrassment since his secret bag was revealed. Ashido felt a little guilty as she got off of Mineta who wouldn't stop muttering. Uraraka just looked confused as to what they were looking at. Pony on the other hand felt a little excited as she asked in English, "You play D&D too?"

Izuku slowly nodded as Pony had a large smile and rushed over to the green boy, "That's so cool. What's your main class? What race do you choose? Have you got any good campaigns? What about-"

"Let the boy breathe Pony," Kendo said as she pulled Pony away, "So what was all of that?"

Izuku sighed as he was the only other person who spoke English, "She found out…that I…play...Dungeons and Dragons."

Izuku waited for the laughter to come along with the insults. Instead, they all just stared at him blankly except for two. Pony looked so giddy that Izuku figured she played as well. Bakugo just shook his head slightly since he knew that Izuku was a player. Everyone else didn't really know what it all meant. Finally after almost two minutes of silence, Hagakure entered the lobby with Kota and asked, "What's Dungeons and Dragons?"

Izuku began explaining, "It's a tabletop game that involves dice, books, papers, and pencils. Sort of like the fantasy video games except there's no electronics. Just the imagination, and storytelling."

Suddenly Izuku began going into a little more detail on the game itself. Sometimes Pony would interject in Japanese but only to affirm what he was saying. The whole group simply listened to everything he was saying with great intrigue. Except for Bakugo who found it odd that so many people were interested in Izuku's tangent for once. Finally Izuku finished and many of them began commenting.

"That sounds so cool Deku." (Uraraka)

"Truly a fascinating game." (Iida)

"So manly." (Tetsutetsu, and Kirishima)

"I love using my imagination." (Mei)

"Revelry in the dark." (Tokoyami)

"Sounds kickass to me." (Kaminari)

Izuku smiled at all of the compliments that he was getting. Growing up, he only managed to play the game a few times. But his old group split apart as they got older, and he'd been dying to play again ever since. Unfortunately, teasing from people like Bakugo got in the way of him ever getting back into the game. That was until he heard Eri tug on his hand with the player's handbook in her arms and asked, "Can I play this?"

Izuku smiled as he knelt to meet her eyes, "Well I would love to play this game with you, but it requires a party of at least four players and a dungeon master to run the game."

Eri frowned slightly before hearing Yaoyorozu speak up, "All in favor of playing Midoriya's game say aye."

All but three people, including Kota, called out, "Aye."

Izuku was shocked to see so many interested in the game. Eri began smiling brightly because now she'd be able to play the game. She then jumped into Izuku's arms and hugged him excitedly. Izuku was quick to hug her back and even picked her up while they were hugging. However, the hug caused Eri to drop the player's handbook on Izuku's toes which in turn caused him to wince in pain. Uraraka picked up the book and several character sheets as she asked, "So how do we create a character Deku?"

The whole group then watched as Izuku effectively gave a presentation on how the game worked. He had Pony and Bakugo help out since they both knew about the game already, even though Bakugo was more forced into it because Eri begged him to. Funnily enough, the others were actually taking notes on everything Izuku was saying as if it was part of an assignment. Even Monoma was joining in on taking notes since he actually seemed slightly interested. Finally Izuku finished speaking and asked, "So Class, any questions?"

Mirio, the kids, and a few others chuckled before Mineta raised his hand and asked, "So we can create any type of character that we want?"

Izuku knew exactly what he was really asking, and answered, "Yes but keep in mind that there are two young children here. Romance is a thing but make sure you keep your character, and gameplay to the appropriate level Mineta."

"Oh Professor," Ashido asked as she raised her hand as well, "Any suggestions as to what We beginners should go with character-wise?"

"Basically whatever your heart desires," Izuku answered, "As long as it makes sense and follows the rules, and other players agree, you have complete creative freedom."

This time Iida raised his hand with a question, "What exactly do you mean if other players agree?"

"Well that part involves character connections," Izuku explained, "Say if Kacchan and I decide to play brothers, or if Pony and I chose to play friends, we both would have to agree to that."

The running theme with the raised hands continued with Kendo, "Could we do a game session with all of us?"

Izuku cringed slightly, "Well…having a party of eight is a struggle by itself. A party of over thirty can be a nightmare to manage."

This time, there were no other questions. Seeing that everyone got a handle on everything, Pony excitedly said in Japanese, "Let's get to making characters!"

Some were able to get a character created within seconds. Others took a while to get their sheets filled. Izuku got done rather quickly even though he created a completely new character. Once he finished, he noticed Eri nervously approach him and ask, "Is it okay if my character…is…your daughter?"

Izuku nodded and gave Eri a hug which she happily accepted. All of the women in earshot gave an endearing 'awww'. Though two were feeling like having fun with the boy. Starting with Jiro, "But Wait. Green can't be a single dad raising a girl on his own."

"Then that means that Eri needs a mommy," Ashido followed up before turning towards Uraraka, "What about you Uraraka?"

Said girl had frozen nervously and blushed heavily. She wanted to say no until she looked at Izuku and Eri. He seemed to blush just as much as she was right now and shrugged as if to say that he was fin with whichever she chose. Eri began looking at her with pleading eyes that one would have to be heartless to deny. Finally Uraraka caved and said, "Okay."

As she walked over to Izuku, she noticed Eri and Ashido giving each other high fives. Izuku seemed to have noticed the same thing. Both of them felt set up, but it didn't matter since they both agreed, and didn't want to upset Eri. However, they were surprisingly not the only ones who had created a connection with another character.

Tetsutetsu and Kirishima decided to play as twin brothers though with different classes. Ibara chose to have a friendly affiliation with Koji who seemed to be perfectly happy with it. Tsuyu and Pony decided to play Sisters because both of them had an animal quirk, and Tsuyu thought that it would be interesting. Kendo and Yaoyorozu went with the history of childhood friends which made sense because the two bonded after their first internships Even Mirio chose to be Izuku's brother as well so that Eri would have an Uncle.

Once the characters were all set, Izuku decided to separate everyone into groups of eight each. Yaoyorozu created four sets of colored cards in yellow, blue, red, and green. Each took a card to see where they were placed. The result was the following groups.

Yellow group was Todoroki, Koda, Kendo, Sato, Shinso, Monoma, Ibara, and Aoyama.

Blue group was Hagakure, Hado, Togata, Pony, Yaoyorozu, Sero, Tetsutetsu, and Mineta.

Red group was Kirishima, Bakugo, Shoji, Amajiki, Ashido, Mei, Ojiro, and Iida.

Green group was Kota, Jiro, Kaminari, Tsuyu, Tokoyami, Eri, Uraraka, and of course Midoriya.

(Author's note: I'm not making this up. I used True random, and this is what I got.)

Once everyone had their groups set up, Izuku then said, "Okay. Now we just need to get started."

However, before any of them could get started, they noticed a flash of light from outside. It looked too bright to be lightning but everyone instinctively moved away from Kaminari. This earned them all a complaint from the electric boy, "Really? Just because my quirk can shock people, that suddenly means I'm a lightning rod? Get seri-"

That was all that was said before a bright flash hit everyone in the room and within a second, all were unconscious as a strange voice whispered in their ears, "Some new heroes seeking an adventure. Let's test to see if you're worthy of calling yourselves heroes in my world."
