Chapter 2
Izuku groggily opened his eyes to see what had happened. Nothing in the room he was in looked familiar to him in any way. A large chandelier hung over the bed with what seemed to be lit candles on the ring. The walls were painted a bright green with gold accents to the pattern. It felt like he was in a large nice bed that would only be made for rich folk or royalty. Clearly he seemed to be in perhaps the nicest bedroom ever, but he noticed more.
He felt the faint scent of roses waft into his nose as he was breathing. As he tried to get up, he felt his arms around something. Slowly he looked towards the bed and discovered the source of the smell along with what his arms were on. There was a gorgeous adult woman with bright brown hair wrapped in his arms while the cover was over both of them. Thankfully she was still asleep, and clothed so that made Izuku feel more comfortable, but not for very long.
Because now she was starting to wake up. And Izuku spotted a wedding ring on her hand.
Izuku would've panicked at this if he hadn't noticed differences with himself. Rather than wearing his usual sleep attire, which he preferred to keep secret from his classmates for obvious reasons, the only thing he was wearing in the bed was pants so he was able to see that his arms were unscathed now. Instead of his curly hair being shorter like it usually was, it reached down almost to the center of his back while maintaining the color. He also noticed a very dim green light shining on the woman's skin wherever he was looking, so he could tell that his eyes were glowing right now. And finally noticed that his eyes had met a pair of copper eyes, almost orange looking eyes, belonging to his current bedmate that were staring back at him in shock.
The two instantly leapt out of the bed before the woman had asked, "Who the hell are you? And where are we right now?"
Izuku simply looked at the woman with confusion, "I don't know either. I thought that this was your room."
Now Izuku was surprised for another reason. His voice had changed along with his appearance so now he sounded older. Of course, seconds later, he noticed that the woman was speaking with an English accent, which made him think for a second that he was in an English city. But it didn't make sense for him to be in a city like that, and it didn't explain why his body was different. And she probably would've been more familiar with the room if that was the case.
Just what was going on?
"Okay," Izuku spoke up again, "Let's try retracing our steps here to see how we got here. What do you remember last?"
The woman settled slightly as she answered, "Well I was hanging out with some friends."
Just like me, Izuku thought.
"We found some stuff that my friend tried to keep hidden from the rest of us."
Just like me.
"Turns Out he played this game called Dungeons and Dragons."
Just like me.
"He actually gave us a presentation on how the game worked."
Just like…wait. THIS IS ME!
"So next thing I know, we're all creating characters for this game of his. After we all finished, there was a bright flash and next thing I know, I woke up next to you."
Izuku paused for a few seconds before saying, "Ochako?"
The woman's eyes widened, further confirming that it was indeed Ochako Uraraka. The hair was in a longer style than how she usually had it, though it still covered her ears. She was also taller than before, much like Izuku was now that he noticed. Clearly she was starting to notice the changes with herself and with Izuku as she eyed him up and down. Then she began blushing for two reasons.
The first being that she had shared a bed with a super hot guy without knowing how it happened. The second was that she found out who the handsome stranger was. During the character creation session, Uraraka had allowed only one guy to call her by her first name. And it was the same guy that she had a crush on since after their first class. All she could do was blush wildly as she replied, "Deku?"
To satisfy his curiosity, and to prove a theory, he looked down at his own left hand. After doing so, he held it up so Uraraka could see the emerald wedding ring, and said, "I think we're in an actual D&D campaign."
Uraraka looked at her own hand and saw that she was wearing a matching wedding ring right now. It didn't stop her from becoming a stuttering mess because she remembered that she agreed to play the wife of Izuku's character so that Eri's character would have a mom. She moved her hands up to her ears and felt that they had a point to them much like her high elf character did. Once she felt the points on her ears, she began to look like she was on the verge of having a panic attack, "Deku, how did this happen?"
"I don't know," Izuku answered, "Last I remembered, we were all setting up our character sheets and then there was a flash. Next thing I know I wake up and we're…well…I Uh…I think you get the idea."
Izuku began blushing along with Uraraka who replied, "Y-Y-Yeah. I think so. I need some air."
The pair moved towards what looked like a balcony door and walked out towards the edge. There, they noticed that they were located in a very beautiful city which seemed to be thriving wonderfully. And the building that they were in looked palatial not only in size but in aesthetics as well. Overall, it was a fantastic place to be in. But Ochako still had questions, "What would we be doing in a building like this? It looks like a lord's manor."
"Because it is a lord's manor," Izuku answered as he realized what he wrote, "I had my character's background as a noble."
Izuku began explaining, "When as a noble, your character has more prestige in certain parts of the world. There are certain limits in place when playing a noble. Playing royalty is allowed but the family name isn't generally too well-known. In our case, I stuck with playing a lord of a city half the size of Tokyo."
Ochako raised a curious eyebrow at her 'husband', "Tokyo is fairly large. Why would you want to be a lord of that?"
"Several reasons," Izuku answered, "But let's get into that another time. For now we should look for Eri."
Ochako nodded as the two got dressed in their characters's attire. Her outfit looked to be fine leathers with a pink hue to them which formed a brown hooded shoulder shawl over a rose petal colored outer-corset which was worn over a white long-sleeved dress shirt. Her leg wear consisted of a pair of long boots reaching her knees laying over a set of dark brown leggings worn under a black skirt that reached down almost to her knees. She also had on a pair of rose petal colored gloves over her hands and arms with left arm bearing a bracer for the shield that lay beside her gear along with a staff.
The shield had a crest over it that appeared to be in reverence to a deity, based on what Izuku mentioned with the Cleric class that she selected. The staff looked to be a redwood staff with a metal crescent on the top almost like an axe. On the haft of the staff was a word which was carved in an odd script. But the stranger part was that she was able to read it. She turned around to tell Izuku only to almost drop her staff and shield as she gazed upon him.
Izuku's gear was a set of green studded leather armor from neck to toe. On the chest of his armor was the banner of the Midoriya house which for some reason was a green kitsune, also identified as a nine-tailed fox. Around his neck was a white stole with gold trim that went down to his waistline which was covered in the back by a green hood. Clearly his armor was crafted with the finest materials one could find anywhere. Not something too surprising since he had apparently gone with the Paladin class, however she was also surprised by the weapon that he was holding.
In his left hand was a scythe that reached around his height. The haft was a dark green almost like a painted ash wood. The head of the scythe was an intricate design with a curved onyx blade which extended to almost a meter long. Like her staff, Izuku's scythe also had words carved into it, though his were etched into the blade. Though his words were in a script that she could read and recognize with ease.
Finally breaking the silence, Ochako asked, "Deku, why do you have a scythe that says 'One For All' on the Blade?"
Izuku glanced at the etching and said, "Probably because this weapon is suppose to be my quirk in this world. Quirks don't exist in the realm of Dungeons and Dragons unless homebrewed, part of the reason I enjoyed it, so whichever force that brought us here probably gave us these weapons to accommodate. Which is why your staff says 'Zero Gravity' in Elvish."
This earned him a nod of understanding from his 'wife'. He made sure to go over the languages of D&D in his game presentation. Since Ochako chose the high elf race, one of her preselected languages was elvish. Also since Izuku's background was a noble, he also chose elvish as one of the languages that his character knew. Ochako's thoughts were interrupted when she asked, "What do you mean by the quirkless thing being part of the reason that you enjoyed D&D?"
"I'll explain another time," Izuku quickly replied as he placed the Now-sheathed scythe in the holder on his back, "Eri first, and then the others."
Ochako wanted to press for an answer but she knew that they had bigger concerns at the moment. So for now, she just went with him to find the child. For some reason they both seemed to know their way around the building quite well. She figured that it was because their characters both lived here so they would be familiar with the layout. Thankfully they managed to arrive at the room which Eri would've been staying at.
After giving a light knock and receiving no response, the two opened the door and entered the room. The room had a painted ceiling to look like the night sky while the walls had a similar look to their bedroom. The bed was rather large with bright lavender bed curtains tied to the ends. Over the bed was a large dark plum blanket spread out. The bed was slightly deformed on top but that was because it had a person laying under the covers.
Based on the small amount of platinum colored hair that was poking out of the covers, it was safe to assume that the person in the bed was Eri. So Izuku softly approached the bed and leaned towards where Eri's head would be as he said, "Eri, it's time to get up."
"Five more minutes father," Eri groaned in a voice that was very obviously not her original voice.
While startled initially at the voice that came from the once five year old girl, Ochako snapped out of her surprised state and looked to Izuku for a solution. Thankfully said verdant remembered that Ochako had chosen the high elf class which means that she had a cantrip that she was free to select. She had used this to take the cantrip known as Mage Hand which lifted an object under 10 pounds. Such as the blankets currently covering the slumbering girl now. Ochako used the cantrip to lift the blanket, and both were surprised with what lay underneath.
What they saw was an high elf woman who seemed to be the human equivalent of a teenager. Her hair was platinum colored, and her ears weren't actually as pointed as other elves. Her nightgown that she currently had on was a simple white nightgown which looked designed for a princess. The girl looked about as big as Izuku was back in their own world. She opened her eyes groggily, revealing that she had heterochromia since one eye was the same green as Izuku's while the other was a reddish color, and looked to the two that woke her up as she started to say, "Alright. I'm up. What…"
The three were silent. Izuku, and Ochako quickly realized that the girl was Eri but a version of Eri that looked like she was biologically their daughter. And she looked like she went from being six to being sixteen. Even with the age change, both current adults found her absolutely adorable, regardless of the fact that she looked like their daughter. However, at the same time, Izuku was doing his best to make sure that the protective dad urge doesn't kick in.
Eri's silence was for a different reason. Here she was in a large bedroom that she didn't recognize with two large armored folk eyeing her. One of them had a shield which allowed her to see her own reflection as well so she could see that she did look quite a bit like a mix of both of them. Not that it helped the young girl's concerns in any way whatsoever, and actually made her feel a little more scared. She nervously spoke again, breaking the silence as she said, "Who are you and where am I?"
"It's okay Eri. We can explain what we can," Izuku said as he sat down beside his 'daughter' and began explaining what he thought had happened. She wasn't happy with the fact that he didn't know how they got in this strange place, or how to get back. She did however seem interested in the fact that they were considered a noble family. There was also a mix of relief and disappointment when he mentioned that they were only lord/lady status and not actual royalty. Once he finished explaining, he quickly moved on to another thought, "Damn it."
"Is everything okay Father?" Eri asked.
Izuku was about to answer before he realized that Eri had just called him 'father'. Both of the ladies realized this as well and paused. Eri seemed to adjust better than them since she sort of did think about Izuku as a true father figure. Ochako smiled at the thought of Izuku being a father outside of this world, and Izuku felt his heart warm briefly at the thought of Eri being his child. But his mind returned to his previous thought which he shared with the ladies, "I forgot to tell the others how the campaigns commonly start."
"What's the problem there?" Ochako asked since neither she nor Eri caught on to the issue.
"We have no way to find our current party," Izuku answered, "They could be anywhere in the city."
Both ladies looked frightened at the statement with Eri asking, "What do we do?"
Izuku sighed and gave a reluctant answer with a bit of unhappiness in his voice, "We'll have to search through the whole city. And it's not a small town unfortunately."
All three of them groaned at the response. It was going to be a long day.
