All the campers were down at the Mess Hall. Some of them were still tired, while others were extremely tired. Everyone from the Screaming Gophers cheered as Gwen walked in the room. When Duncan entered, he warned everyone not to disturb him. Chris entered the area and told them that their next challenge would be taking place in about twenty minutes and to meet by the beach.
"Welcome everyone! Today we have a rousing game of dodge ball for you. We will play a total of five rounds max. Whichever team wins three rounds wins invulnerability. Now to go over the rules: pretty simple. If you are hit by the ball, you are out. If you catch the ball, the thrower is out and the catcher brings back one player from their team in. since the Gophers have more players; one member has to sit out throughout the game." Chris motioned.
"No worries guys, I will sit the first one out." Noah volunteered.
"And Go!" Chris blew a whistle.
Tyler tried to throw a ball but ended up hitting someone in the stands. Heather threw the ball at DJ. But when DJ threw the ball back, he hit Gwen in the face instead.
"Oh, sorry about that!"
"It's cool." Gwen sighed in relief.
"Get ready for my wicked moves!" Harold stated, as he failed to hit an opposing player.
"Get ready for why sick moves String Bean!" Lashawna hit Harold with the ball.
"Look out!" Trent called out, and Raviel caught the ball and threw it at a different player. Thus causing a double knockout.
"Hey Owen! You want a turn?!" Raviel asked.
"Game OOOOOOnnnnn!" Owen screamed getting ready to be serious, and knocked out the other players.
"First point goes to the Gophers!" Chris declared.
The teams were getting ready to see who was starting up first.
"Ok Noah, you're up." Heather demanded.
"No way! You guys were killing it out there. I don't want to mess with your energy." Noah stated.
"Suit yourself." Raviel stated.
"Come on guys, I can do this. Just give all the balls to me!" Tyler stated.
"I don't know man. You hit one of our own last time." DJ responded.
"I got this bro. trust me on this!" Tyler reassured.
Everyone saw how Tyler had four dodge balls in his hand and just looked as if it was a joke. Tyler spun in a circle, for an unknown reason, and managed to almost hit the ref and two people in the stands. The last ball hit the girls he was crushing on, Lindsey. He went over to see if she was ok. And when she was, Trent knocked out Tyler, so Lindsey and Tyler walked away from the game together, angering Heather.
"Oh no. there is no way I am letting that girl team up with that excuse of a guy!" Heather raged off.
"Where are you going? We still have a game to win!" Raviel said.
"Just mind your business!"
"Yeah but…" Raviel was hit in the face before he could continue.
"What do you think you are doing?" Heather questioned Lindsey's intensions.
"Nothing, really! We were just going over, uh, fashion tips. You really need to lose the sweats." Lindsey defended.
"Hey1 why don't you just lay off?" Tyler chimed in.
"And why don't you dodge this?!" Heather threw a canoe.
"Oh!"
"Where have you been? We just lost another round. One more and we lose, again!" Courtney argued.
"Nowhere!" Tyler shrugged.
"Were you hanging out with the weird Gopher girl?"
"No! Maybe! So?!" Tyler ranted.
"You could have told her all of our weaknesses! Now we are all at risk of losing forever!" Courtney scorned.
"Alright, I get it! But we didn't talk about anything about the show or you guys! We only talked about each other." Tyler defended.
"Which means she could use your weakness against you." Courtney pointed out.
The third game was looking bad. It was almost over, until Geoff caught a ball and Courtney declared a time out.
"Ok guys, I hate to say it, we need Duncan in this game." Courtney called out.
"And how do you plan on waking him? Any one of us he would kill in no sweat." DJ stated.
"I have an idea!" Geoff suggested.
"What do you got?" Courtney was all ears.
"Harold! You need to hit him in his lower area." Geoff stated.
"Why me?" Harold did not agree with this plan.
"Because we will lose. And if you don't we will vote you off if we do lose!" Courtney bribed.
"Here goes nothing." Harold said to himself before he swung his foot.
"OH! Alright you pencil neck no good useless bag of!" Duncan choking on Harold.
"Relax! We told him to. We are losing, and we need the next three in order to win. If you don't help us, we will vote you off before we vote off Harold." Courtney interrupted.
Duncan agreed to help out. He taught them a skill he learned back in juvie. They started to peg all the balls at one person. It made dodging and catching a lot harder. This trick won them two rounds in a row. It was now time for the final game. Raviel was the only Gopher left on the court. The Killer Bass went for the same tactic, but Raviel dodged the balls and knocked out all the players except Harold.
"Sorry dude. But I did come here to win." Raviel then threw the balls, except Harold dodged every single one of them.
"How did you do that?" Raviel asked.
"Figure skating." Harold responded.
"Harold, all you have to do is catch him out and we win!" Courtney yelled.
Raviel threw the last ball at the nerd. Harold hit the wall really hard from the impact. He held up the ball to show that he caught it and the Killer Bass won their first challenge. Noah complained that his team did not try hard enough, despite not playing in a single game. The elimination was simple enough, Noah was sent away.
