"I'm sorry Pup," Sirius said as he laid the morning edition of the Daily Prophet down.
"Why?" Harry asked confused and looked at his wife for guidance.
"He's sorry our grief is front page news," she whispered to him.
"Don't be," Harry told his godfather. "The front page shows something I'm very proud of." He saw the confusion on his godfather's face and clarified. "Those pictures shows that I have a supportive family. It shows the love and trust I have for all of you. I won't be sorry for that!"
"That's a great way to view it," Minerva offered as she continued to eat brunch. Her family, Sirius, Remus, the Tonks Family and the Bellamy Family were making plans for the rest of the summer break.
Harry shrugged his shoulders before continuing eating his bunch. "Have the Board of Governors offered financial assistance for repairs yet?"
"No," Minerva answered honestly. "I have decided to fund the repairs myself. I shan't have to listen to their input that way."
"Like you listen to them anyways," Severus said dryly.
"House Black will gladly add to the repair fund," Sirius offered. "I will also like to offer to fund a new muggle section in the library."
Minerva raised an eyebrow at that. "A new muggle section in the library? Why?"
"Don't look so suprised Minerva," Sirius retorted. "Harry will not want a memorial of his defeat of Voldemort but we all know the Ministry will demand something. The bastards are always wanting positive press. I figured a muggle section dedicated to his Muggleborn mother might keep them at bay."
"That's genius Padfoot," Remus said. "The Ministry wouldn't dare say a word about the Boy Who Lived's mother."
"Not without major fallout," Andromeda Tonks offered. "I would suggest a personal touch involving Harry."
"I may have the perfect thing," Minerva said as she stood and left the room. Minutes ticked by before she finally came back with a picture in her hand. She walked to Harry before offering him the picture. "I have debated on giving you that many times over the years but I guess I was waiting for the perfect occasion."
Harry looked at the picture and immediately teared up. It was a wizarding image of Lily Potter sitting in an overstuffed chair reading a Muggle children's books to baby Harry. He watched mesmerized as she lovingly combed his hair with her friends and kissed his forehead tenderly before drawing him near. "Thank you," he whispered emotionally as Hermione interlocked their fingers in support.
"That would be perfect Màthair," Hermione commented with a brilliant smile. "I may have some books I am willing to donate."
"You're volunteering to part with a book?" Robbie said teasingly.
Minerva snorted in amusement at the glare Hermione sent her twin. The rest if the table joined in much to Hermione's dismay.
Minerva stood teary-eyed as she watched her beloved Arwen interact with their twins. Death had made good on her request to pass her visit onto the twins. Hermione had the Elder Wand and Robbie held onto the Resurrection Stone as they hugged their mother. She was ghostlike but somehow she managed to caress and hug them.
Minerva stood back slightly so that mother and children could rejoice in being together and could share some conversation. Arwen sat in the middle of the couch with both children as close to her as possible. "My time is up my loves," Arwen whispered as she kissed the twins tenderly. She grabbed two of the three Deathly Hallows and stood up. She smiled sweetly at Minerva as she walked to her. She gently laid a hand on Minerva's protruding belly and caressed it gently. "Live well my muse," Arwen whispered as she faded from view.
Hermione and Robbie clung to her desperately as they grieved for the mother they knew about all of their lives but hadn't ever had a conversation with until today. It was certainly an emotional day for them. She managed to pull them into her bedroom, push them on her bed and retrieve a photo album. She climbed on the bed and settled between them and changed all of their clothes into pajamas. She spent the remainder of the day looking at pictures of her life with Arwen and recounting back stories of each picture to her children. She would make sure they knew who their mother was and why she was so amazing in her opinion!
Minerva McGonagall Snape cried out in frustration as her attempt to fix the charmed ceiling in the Great Hall failed once again. "I fear it is lost forever," she whispered sadly. The charmed ceiling was one of the most beautiful parts of Hogwarts and she felt like such a failure at not being able to restore it.
"You are saying the correct spell but you are missing the most important component," the musical voice of Helena Ravenclaw offered.
"What would that be," inquired Minerva.
"Unicorn blood freely given and Phoenix tears must be applied to the area before the spell is cast," the ghost informed her. "I shall request that not be made public knowledge."
"That secret shall not pass my lips," she promised. "I fear it will be a long time before the ceiling is corrected though. I don't have access to those items."
The ghost laughed at the Headmistress before revealing, "I informed your daughter of the secret and she is already collecting the items. Her mother's acceptance into the council has opened many doors that remain closed to you. Whereas you are exceptional in your protection, your daughter is the perfect balance between you and your wife."
"Hermione will be asked to join the Council?" Minerva questioned.
"As soon as she is established in her choice of job," Helena confirmed. "Hermione Potter will be an unyielding force for change. She has the dedication her mother had but the fierceness you have. I anticipate great things for her future."
"Màthair," Hermione shouted excitedly as she ran into the Great Hall. She held up a duffle bag in victory as she smile. "I have what we need. Twila and Fawkes send their regards."
Minerva smiled at her daughter's obvious happiness before accepting the offered bag and following the instructions from Helena Ravenclaw. She muttered the complex spell and smiled as the charmed ceiling filled the room in stunning sunlight. "It's beautiful," she whispered emotionally as Hermione hugged her as close as her protruding belly would allow.
