Her parents knew she was coming back to Freeridge, they've been knowing for weeks now. Even if it all came to Elise on short notice. So she wasn't surprised at all when she pulled into the driveway of the home, and noticed her parents and her two friends, Aliyah and Carmen waiting outside in the yard.

Aliyah and Carmen squealed with excitement as she exited the vehicle.

"Elise!" Aliyah yelled happily as her two friends embraced her. Elise hugged them tightly, happy to see them after so long. Carmen went to school closer to Freeridge, so she never moved out of her parents house. While Aliyah never went to school like her parents, and the rest of them had suspected. However she refused to work at her parents motel, something about a sugar daddy supplying her needs for her. Elise never questioned it.

"Oh my god, you look so good. I can't believe it's been two years." Carmen said as she hugged her again.

"Well it wouldn't have been if you guys had visited with my parents when they did." Elise quipped.

Carmen rolled her eyes, "Oh please, cars work two ways mommiana." She gave her a knowing look.

"Speaking of mommy…" Her mother, Judy stepped forward and gave her daughter a hug. "Where is my grandbaby?" She asked.

Elise looked back at the car, "She slept the whole way here. Dad, can you…?"

The unspoken question was there, and Thomas rose from his seat to go to the car. He carried the toddler out, careful as to not wake her and carried her inside. Her mother followed him in, leaving Elise with her friends.

"Are they upset with you?" Aliyah asked quietly.

"No… not really. Not about the school thing at least… just… you know I'm back. And…"

"They're mad you haven't told him." Carmen guessed and Elise nodded her head.

"It's a good thing too, I rode pass the house." Elise said with a frown. "How long has he…?"

"Right after you left." Aliyah replied, and Elise scowled. Oscar has never really spoke too much about joining the gang. But she supposed things change and people change. "Come on… I made us a drink… let's play catch up." She suggested as she grabbed Elise's hand and tugged her inside…

The first few days back were a breeze. Aliyah and Carmen helped her look for a place to move into. Her parents worked on finding a daycare for her daughter. And while they were doing that, her dad spent time babysitting her daughter in the meantime since he was on leave from work.

She rode pass his house again the next week, this time, no one was outside but a familiar teenager. He had grown into his body. The last she seen Cesar, he was 12 and a scrawny little kid. Her mind urged her to keep going, but she something made her slow down, pulling the car up in front of the house. He looked up from whatever he was doing, looking a bit on guard at the sight of the car.

She rolled down the window and adjusted her sunglasses before taking them off. "Hi Cesar."

The teen looked a little confused, before shock overtook his features. "Elise?" He questioned, jumping out of his seat and crossing the lawn to walk over to the car. "Wow… what are you doing here?"

"Uh… back home." Elise said with a nod of her head. "Just running some errands right now, but yeah I… I moved back home. " She gave a crooked smile.

Cesar couldn't help but return the smile. "You look good, how was college?" He questioned, she noticed the way his eyes looked through the car as he leaned a little closer, she noticed his eyes zero in on the car seat in the back.

"It was… it was nice. Learned a few things." Elise shifted a bit uncomfortably in the seat, Cesar's eyes not leaving the car seat.

"That-That's great." Cesar said with a smile. "And the car seat? You have a kid." He stated. Elise nodded, her smile faltering. Please don't ask. Please don't ask… "Congratulations. I'm happy for you." The oblivious teenager.

She heard the car before she seen it. Elise looked up as Cesar took a step back from her car, down the street she noticed the red herse cruising down the street. She sucked in a breath and let it out slowly, grip on the wheel tightening as it did days earlier. Elise gulped down a lump in her throat, eyes darting to Cesar who glanced at her in return.

"He'd be happy to see you." Cesar tried. He was trying to convince her to stay.

Elise shook her head quickly as she changed gears. "I can't right now, Cesar… I… bye." Rolling up the window, she pulled off, noticing the way the herse skid to a stop. She saw him exit the vehicle. She saw the two brothers talking and Cesar pointing to her car. Even as she drove further and further away, she noticed Oscar's shoulders tense as his body turned to watch as she disappeared down the street…

She hadn't came out of her room since she got home, her parents tried talking with her, but between her locking her door and ignoring their concerned calls, they got the hint to leave her alone. Elise smoked her stress and heartache away for the next two hours as she scrolled through social media. When her parents knocked on the door and said there was pizza, she left her room for two minutes to grab a few slices and returned back to solitude.

There was rapid knock on her window door when she gave up on smoking and went to pulling at her nails to try and get her acrylics off. She didn't have to look up to know who it was. He entered the room silently, climbed in the bed next to her and turned to face her. Elise tensed when he tried to grab her and pull her closer. She turned away from him, preferring to face the wall.

"Elise…" Oscar whispered quietly. "Talk to me." There was a demand there, hidden in the quietness of his tone. Because Oscar could be soft, but he was never soft-soft.

"Why? You refused to talk to me when you decided you weren't going to college and that you were dumping me." Elise snapped.

She could practically hear his jaw tick with frustration. "I'm trying to do what's best for you. I'm trying not to be selfish." Oscar said.

Elise stood up from the bed, moving across the room to her laptop. She stared at him as he sat up on the bed and stared up at her in return. She turned music on, SZA's voice coming through the speakers around her room. A noise blocker. Because they were going to need it. "You don't get to make my decisions for me Spooky!" She exclaimed. "That's not your choice… Oscar. If I want to come down here and see you, I should be able to do that." She snapped.

"I will drag you behind." He insisted, he wasn't yelling, but the frustration and anger was there. "Why can't you see that?"

Elise stared at him, "Why can't you see that I don't care…" She breathed out. "All I care about is you." She walked towards him, "Oscar, baby, please…"

Oscar closed his eyes, shaking his head as he did. "That's exactly why I'm doing this." She stopped at his words, glaring down at him angrily as he sat on her bed. His face remained calm, but there was a hidden pain behind them. That only made Elise's anger build, because if this was hurting him too, then why? "You can't see past me." He accused her.

Elise raised a brow, before she let out a bitter scoff, "Baby you are not a god."

"Far from it, actually." Oscar replied with ease. Their arguments always went like this. When she went for tit, he went for a tat. Tit for tat. He stared up at her. "You know what I'm saying. Freeridge is nothing but chaos, that's why we wanted to get away from here in the first place. If you continue to come back here, it will do nothing for you. So yeah, I'm breaking up with you."

She sucked in a breath, not realizing how bad it would leave a taste in her mouth. A vile taste as if she had to throw up. She felt nauseous. But still, anger got the best of her. She shoved him harshly, enough for him to lean back on the bed slightly. "I hate you!"

Oscar rose back to a sitting position and he glared at her. "Shut up." He said.

"Why? Isn't this what you wanted?" Elise snapped, shoving him again. "For me to hate you? Because I do, I hate you Oscar." She said harshly. She went to shove him again and he grabbed her hands when she did.

"Let me go." Elise demanded as she struggled to get out of his grasp, even as he pulled her down on the bed. "Let me go, Oscar." She said, going to hit his chest again and shove at him. "I hate you!"

"Shut up." Oscar whispered quietly again, pulling her closer, she shook her head, but she couldn't help but melting into the kiss when their lips met.

A sob left her lips, "God I hate you." Elise mumbled against his lips.

"Elise… shut up. Don't even trip, I'll make you…" Oscar kissed her deeply then, releasing her hands as he grabbed ahold of her hips. Elise wrapped her arms around his neck and he stood up, turning them around before plopping them back down on the bed so that he was on top. Pulling back from the kiss, he went to take his wife-beater off and threw it to the side. His chain dangled below him and she licked her lips, before he leaned down and kissed her again. Elise moaned when she felt him bite at her bottom lip. He worked on her pants then, unbuckling the jeans and yanking them down. The music was up for a reason, like most of the time he came over, it was up to hide arguing or well… this. But this was different, as he stared up at her and she stared down at him. She knew exactly what this was. Goodbye sex.

She couldn't afford to care when he went down on her and she threw her head back in a loud moan that soon became muffled when she covered her mouth. Her parents adored Oscar, but they'd kill him if they caught any of this….

She inhaled the blunt as she stood outside and stared up at the night sky. That was the last time they saw each other, Elise made sure to avoid his street the few weeks until she left for school. She knew he did the same. Elise sighed quietly and shook her head as she ashed the blunt down in the grass below her.

"Baby girl, you alright out here?" She heard the sound of her dad's voice behind her.

Elise nodded her head, "Yeah dad, just thinking." She said with a sigh.

"Alright, well don't stay out here for too much longer, it's late." He replied.

Elise had to laugh, she fought back a comment about her being grown and simply nodded her head in agreement. She blew out smoke as she listen to the screen door close again. She heard the car a few minutes later. Elise turned her head to look down the street as it appeared into view. He stared out the window at her as he drove slowly, before he came to a stop in front of the house.

He didn't get out of the car, and she didn't make any move to get closer to it.

"When you get back?" Oscar called from the car.

"When did you join the Santos?" Elise replied.

Oscar smirked in response and Elise inhaled the blunt again. "Don't give me that shit, Oscar." She muttered and rolled her eyes.

"No one really calls me that anymore." Oscar replied.

She flashed him a fake smile, "Fuck you, I must be no one then." She replied with ease.

Oscar chuckled and looked ahead for a few moments, before he nodded towards the car. "Get in."

Elise made a face and shook her head, "Nah… nah I don't think I will." She turned to walk to the house.

"Heard you got a kid." Oscar said then. She stopped in her tracks. "Elise…" She closed her eyes, before cursing quietly to herself as she turned and walked back to the car, sliding inside, gulping down a lump in her throat as she looked a head but felt his intense gaze on her as he pulled off.
