I am known for very short prologues, so enjoy. Just as a warning this stroy gets deep, angsty, dark, morbid, bloody, and anything that relates. Tell if you would like for the original scouts to appear or for it to be an AU because I have not yet decided.

Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon except my own scout(s).

Sailor Moon: Listen to the Rain

Prologue

My life, at sixteen, wasn't what you could call 'normal'. Then again: what is normal? That answer is a simple mix of opinions. However no matter my definition of normal I could tell you now nothing was great, and happy, like a teenagers supposed to be life. Angst, depression, and loss are the best way to describe it, the best way any person can describe. Sit back and relax because I have a story ahead, a long one.

Dagger tossed and turned in her sleep as the raging storm went at it outside her window. Her sleeping face was contorted into a mask of true pain and fear as the dream of that knife driving its way through her heart happened once again. Then again, and again.

Clutching her chest, gasping for air, mouth gapped; silently screaming, the pain was too real, it was too much. Just as she felt her brain shutting down, her mind slipping away, her eyes jolted open to reveal crystalline blueish hues wide from shock.

Dagger threw the covers from her legs and walked over the her window only to place her hand against it's cooled winter surface. She couldn't run, couldn't close her eyes to hide because everytime she would open them again it was there, like always, taunting, and tormenting her. Then when she thought it was over it would just come back ten times worse.

She hated storms because of this, they are what did this to her. Storms are what brought back those plaguing memories of the past. Those memories that hurt mentally and physically, messing her up bad. They caused her to become paranoid, scared of the dark, and jumpy. She couldn't sleep and so hadn't slept for days, sometimes even weeks. Sounds unbelievable but that's how deep her fear lies.

Her heart was beating against her aching ribs as she painfully took in deep breathes of air. She was terrified for once. Scared that if they one day got to her then that would be it, that would be the end.

They say that if you die in your dreams, you really die, and thats what scared her, made her paranoid, an insomniac, terrified to sleep...

Like it? Hate it? REVIEW! No flames please unless you can make it nice or some how turn it into constructive critism.
