"You're just a softie aren't you?" Arthur laughs after the slight shock has worn off, Lars having frightened him after suddenly grabbing him from behind to snuggle while he was reading, it was a rather pleasant surprise for the shorter man. Lars was an excellent lover in nearly all aspects, responsible, caring, understanding.. but he had always been shy of physical contact with those who weren't his younger siblings.
"Nee.. I'm just cold." The Dutch man replied, sure, both were tsunderes, but Arthur always dropped the behaviour when they were alone- Lars, not so much.
"Well, if you're cold I'm not the best thing to hug love," Arthur chuckles, wanting to pry the actual answer out of the other man, but in a subtle manner. "Why don't I get a blanket and some tea instead? Earl Grey as always."
"That… that sounds nice." Lars relents, reluctantly letting go of Arthur while he sits and waits for a warm blanket, curled up like a child on a winter's night. "I just wanted to hug you a little longer.." he mutters under his breath, wrongly assuming that Arthur wasn't in the room.
"Oh really? Well, we can do that for as long as you want when the tea's done brewing." Said man laughs as he spreads a blanket over Lars, who flushed a bright red when he realised he wasn't alone.
"Y-you heard nothing."
"Hmm.. the only thing I heard was that you wanted a hug." Arthur hums as he hands Lars a cup of tea and gets under the blankets with him, watching the TV together.
