While Nashi was in New York, everyone was in Miami and tried to enjoy their time, but there was no way they could have any fun. With them not knowing where Nashi is, there's no way they can enjoy Miami. The they all tried to get some dinner, but none of them were really that hungry. It was at that moment that Lucy's phone went off.
"Hello?" Lucy answered. "Oh my gosh! Really?!"
"What's going on?" Natsu asked.
"They found Nashi!" Lucy said. All of them listened in to see what they say. "Where is she? New York?!"
"New York?!" All of them were surprised as none of them expected to be her. Lucy continued to listen in on what she was being told.
"I'm sure she got scared. She's not a troublemaker." Lucy said.
"What is it?!" Natsu said.
"Please wait a minute." Lucy said to talk to Natsu. "She used your card to check in the Plaza Hotel, but they believed she stole the card."
"Is she still there?" Natsu questioned.
"Is she still there?!" Lucy asked in her phone. "No?!"
"Darn it!" Natsu complained.
"Thank you! We're on our way!" Lucy said as she ended the call. "We're going to New York, Natsu!"
"Hold it! We're all going." Gray said. "We're all worried about Nashi and we all want to help find her."
"Fine! We're all going to New York!" Lucy said as she was in no mood or had no time to argue about this. All of them seemed excited as they all got moving.
"What happened with Nashi?" Natsu asked.
"She ran off when they confronted her about the card. She must be so scared." Lucy said as she gathered all her stuff.
"Wait! My brother lives in New York! Maybe she can find her way there!" Natsu said.
"Isn't he and Mavis with your parents until New Years?" Lucy asked.
"Maybe they have a housesitter." Natsu said.
"I thought you said they were renovating?" Lucy questioned.

Nashi
Now that she's been forced out of the hotel and being chased by criminals, Nashi doesn't have much to do. Luckily, she has an address book. She thought her aunt and uncle could help her out. It was dark, cold, and getting late. For a kid alone in New York, that's not really a good thing. She was able to find the house and walked up the stairs. She knocked on the door, but it doesn't look like anyone was home.
"Hello!" Nashi called. She looked through the opening in the door for letters to try and get a look inside. "Hello! Uncle Zeref! Aunt Mavis! It's Nashi, your favorite niece!" She called inside, but no one was home. The house was torn up on the inside since they were renovating. "Now what?" Nashi didn't know what she was going to do now. She walked down the streets of New York, but the streets of New York at dark can be scary. She walked down a street and saw some people that did not look friendly.
"Watch it, kid!" One guy shouted and laughed like a maniac at her. Nashi kept trying to walk, but this street clearly wasn't a friendly one. She looked to see some women dressed strangely with them smoking. They looked at Nashi and laughed at her being unfortunate.
"Careful, kid." Nashi spotted another creepy guy with a dog that looked savaged and kept barking at her. Nashi couldn't take it anymore as she got scared and ran off as fast as she could. Nashi found herself back in Central Park again. She has no idea where she's going or what she's going to do. Nashi just kept roaming around, but got spooked when it sounded like something landed near her. She looked to see it was just another pigeon.
"Crazy bird." Nashi said. She just kept walking, but she soon saw that more of them were flying and landing around her. She didn't really know what to think of this as it was weird for all these pigeons to be around. She had a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen. Nashi was starting to get scared again, especially when she saw the pigeon lady she saw earlier. Now she was really scared as she backed away. The lady moved closer to her. Nashi wanted to run for it, but something kept her in place. She looked down and saw her foot was caught. Nashi braced herself as the pigeon lady reached out for her, but she actually pulled Nashi's leg free.
"Are you okay?" The lady asked.
"Yeah..." Nashi said as she wasn't expecting the lady to help Nashi. "You're not really scary, are you?"
"I suppose not, but others seem to think so." The lady said. Nashi could see this lady was much more nice than scary, and she could use some help.
"I'm Nashi. Do you know some place I can get warm? It's freezing out here." Nashi said.
"Yes, I know a place." The lady said as she showed the way. With the kindness of a stranger, Nashi might be able to survive New York when its dark.

A Loft
The pigeon lady brought Nashi to a loft. It was a loft over a Christmas concert that was going on. Nashi actually thought it was incredible that this lady had a place like this.
"This place is amazing! You have a great view!" Nashi said.
"I'm glad you like it. Not many people would." The lady said.
"Why wouldn't they? You have a great view of those performances." Nashi said as she walked over to her. "It must be great to live in a place like this."
"Well, they don't really come up here." The lady said. "I wasn't always like this. I had an apartment, a job, and didn't really care that much for these pigeons back then."
"So what happened?" Nashi asked.
"I opened my heart to a man. I loved him dearly, but he didn't feel the same." The lady said. "It broke my heart. After that, I sort of lost purpose. My life began to fall after that happened. I soon found myself preferring pigeons to people."
"How come?" Nashi said.
"You're pretty young to understand." The lady said. "Having your heart broken is a terrible feeling. I'm afraid if I open my heart to someone again, I'm going to get it broken again. I've had a hard time finding someone to trust or to call a friend. That's how I soon found myself taking care of these little guys." She said as she held out her hand and one pigeon landed in it. Getting a closer look, Nashi could see their cute little birds.
"I'm sorry you got hurt, but I don't think you closed off your heart." Nashi said. "If you had, you wouldn't be this nice. You did help me, and it's pretty scary out there. I had a similar experience. I remember when I had this little tricycle. I loved having it, but I never really used it. By the time I thought I did, I ended up being too big for it. Now, I regret I never rode it sooner."
"That's not really the same thing." The lady said.
"It sort is. If you don't use your heart, you're going to regret that you did that." Nashi said. "It might not get broken again, but you'll be all alone."
"I'm just afraid I'm going to get hurt again." The lady said.
"I understand, but it's better that you have it opened and risk it being shattered than having it closed off." Nashi said. The lady thought that was pretty insightful for a little girl. "It might also help if you stop having pigeons all over you." She actually had a good laugh as she took a look at herself.
"I guess I have done a pretty good job of keeping people away." The lady said as she was finding delight. "I haven't laughed like that in a long time."
"It is Christmas. You should at least having something jolly." Nashi said.
"Speaking of which, what is a little girl like you doing out there?" The lady asked. "Are you in trouble or something?"
"Sort of..." Nashi said. When she stops to think back, she has been acting out a lot lately. "I guess I have done a lot of bad stuff lately."
"Well, do you know that by doing a good deed, you erase a bad deed?" The lady asked.
"I've done a lot of bad stuff. I don't know if I'll be able to erase all of it." Nashi said.
"Don't say that. It's Christmas. This is the time for miracles." The lady said. That's certainly something for Nashi to think about. "Anyway, it is getting late. You should probably get going home."
"Yeah... Thank you for helping me." Nashi said as she was on her way out through the window. "If you want, you can call me a friend. I promise I won't forget you."
"Don't make promises you shouldn't keep." The lady said. It's going to take time for her to trust someone. Nashi was on way out thanks to the lady showing her how to leave. She was on her way down until she looked across the city and could see a bright light shining like a star. The Christmas star was shining and it had Nashi think about something.
...
Nashi
Nashi was on her way through the streets of New York. She walked until she found herself at a hospital. It had her think of the children's hospital that Mr. Copper is going to donate so much money too. If something isn't done, Mard Geer and Jackal are going to rob that store and steal all that money. All those poor children need that money or this could ruin their Christmas. Maybe much more for them.
"Not if I can help it." Nashi said. She won't allow Mard Geer and Jackal to do this. It's time she started doing a good deed. She made her way back to her uncle's place and was able to get in through a ventilation shaft. She's setting up a series of traps like she did the last time she faced them. Nashi's not going to allow them to ruin this Christmas. If she was able to beat them last year, she can beat them this year. They'll learn the hard way why they shouldn't mess with kids, especially on Christmas.
