Nashi was having some fun with Mard Geer and Jackal. She's lured them into the house and they keep stepping into her traps.
"Come and get me, dummies!" Nashi called as she ran up the stairs. Mard Geer and Jackal tried to go after her. They were about to go up the stairs, but Mard Geer stopped Jackal from going up.
"Wait. Remember last year?" Mard Geer said.
"What?" Jackal said.
"Watch and see." Mard Geer said. "I'll go first!" He stepped around to make it sound like he was going up the stairs. Nashi believed it as she took a paint can tied to a rope and dropped it down. The two of them stepped to the side and missed it. "Argh! She got me!" Jackal was getting it now.
"Don't worry, Mardy! I'll get her!" Jackal said as he did the same thing. Nashi thought they were really coming up and dropped a second at them, but that one missed too. "Oh! Right in the kisser!" They thought they were in the clear as she was out of ammo, but not quite. She had an iron bar tied to a rope as well. She pushed it over the railing and it fell down. Both of them saw it coming and got hit by it as they were both knocked down the stairs. "I really hate that kid."
...
Nashi
Nashi made her way up to the roof of the building. Once she made it there, she threw down a rope and began to make her way down. Once Mard Geer and Jackal recovered, they hurried up the stairs and found themselves on the roof as well.
"Where'd she go?!" Jackal said.
"She's got to be around here somewhere." Mard Geer said as they looked around for her.
"I'm down here, dummies!" Nashi called. They both went to the edge of the building and saw her down there.
"Take this, kid!" Jackal called as he grabbed a rock and tried to throw it at her as payback, but it missed her.
"Come on!" Mard Geer said as he grabbed the rope and started to climb down.
"Seriously?" Jackal said as he couldn't believe Mard Geer suggested this. He just went along with it as they both tried to climb down to get Nashi. "Hey, what's that smell?"
"I think that's kerosene. It's all over the rope." Mard Geer said.
"Why would that be all over rope?" Jackal said. They soon got the answer when Nashi took a match and lit it. They looked down and spotted Nashi with the match.
"Merry Christmas." Nashi said.
"Go up! Go up!" Mard Geer said as they tried to make it back up. Nashi lit the rope on fire. The kerosene made the fire spread faster. The two of them tried to make their way up, but the fire already got to them. They tried their best to get up there, but the fire got the better of them and they both ended up falling. When they hit the bottom, they hit a piece of board that caused cans of varnish. This certainly hasn't been their night. As for Nashi, she ran further down the street and made it to a payphone to call the police.
"Hello. The crooks you're looking for that robbed the toy store is in Central Park. Look for fireworks." Nashi said. That was all she said before hanging up.
"There she is!" Jackal said when he spotted her.
"Better hurry before I call the cops!" Nashi said before she made a run for the park. Nashi made it to the park and was going to put the final touches of her plan in action, but her luck soon ran out. She ended up slipping on a patch of ice. By the time she was able to pull herself together, the two of them already caught up to her.
"Well, it seems the tables have turned." Mard Geer said as the two of them took delight that Nashi was finally in their hands. Jackal grabbed a hold of her and lifted her up to keep her from going anywhere.
"You may have won the battle, little girl, but you lost the war." Jackal said. "You should have known better than to mess with us."
"It seems you won't be able to open your presents." Mard Geer said as he was ready to finish her off.
"Let her go." They all looked and saw the pigeon lady again. "Nashi, run!" Nashi was able to break out of of Jackal's hold and ran for it. When she did, the lady tossed a bucket of seeds and breadcrumbs at the two of them. It all stuck to them and that wasn't good for them. A ton of pigeons came at the two of them and tried to get at the seeds and crumbs. They were pecking and attacking them and it seemed like they couldn't escape from the birds.
"Thanks!" Nashi called as the lady laughed at those two. Nashi ran for a set of fireworks she had set for the police. She ignited them and caused a series of fireworks to go off so the police would find them. The police soon arrived at the park and saw what was going on. When they saw the two criminals were being attacked by pigeons, they took their guns and shot the air to scare the birds away.
"What do we have here?" The police said as he spotted photos of them robbing the store and a recording that said "Confession" on them. "You guys are late. The gift exchange in prison already happened."
"We missed the presents?" Jackal said. "Oh man. We just recently broke out of jail and tried to kill a kid."
"Shut up!" Mard Geer shouted as he kicked Jackal in the leg.
"Get them out of here!" The officer said. The two of them were taken away and sent back to jail where they belong.

The Toy Store
Police officers arrived at the store with Mr. Copper. They were looking over the damage was done. One officer found a rock with a paper tied to it and saw it was a note.
"Mr. Copper, looks like a kid broke your window." The officer said as he handed the note to Alvin.
"Dear Mr. Copper, Sorry about your window. I had to break it to catch the bad guys and make sure the money for the children was safe. Sign, Nashi. P.S., thanks again for the turtledoves." That's what the note read. When it mentioned the turtledoves, Alvin knew exactly who he has to thank for all of this.

Lucy
Meanwhile, Lucy continued her endless search for her daughter. She checked with every person she could to see if anyone knew anything about where she was. Luck finally hit her when she spotted a police car.
"Officer!" Lucy called as she ran over to the car.
"Can we help you?" An officer asked.
"I'm looking for my daughter." Lucy said as she showed a picture of Nashi.
"Did you file a report?" The officer asked.
"Yes." Lucy said.
"We'll find her. Don't worry." The officer said, but Lucy wasn't quite satisfied.
"But it's Christmas Eve and my baby is out there alone." Lucy said.
"I understand. We'll do what we can." The officer said.
"Do you have kids? What would you do if you were in my position?" Lucy said. That was a good question that had the officer.
"Probably the same thing as you." The officer said. "Can you think of any place your daughter would go? What would you do if you were her?"
"Me? I probably be in a ditch somewhere." Lucy said. "Not Nashi. She's much stronger than that, but she shouldn't be out here in the first place. She would be with me and my husband with all our friends around a Christmas tree." When she said that, she believes she might know where Nashi is. "That's it! Where's the biggest Christmas tree again? Rockefeller Center?"
"Hop in." The officer said. Lucy jumped in the car and they gave her a ride. She just hopes her daughter is really there.
...
Nashi
It was just like Lucy thought. Nashi was at Rockefeller Center near the giant tree. She's hoping this good deed did balance out her bad deeds, but now she's all alone and wishes for her parents.
"Mom... Dad... Where are you? I wish you were both here." Nashi said. Her wishes were soon answered when Lucy arrived and could see her daughter.
"Nashi!" Lucy called.
"Mom?!" Nashi said as she wasn't really expecting her. She turned around and saw her mother make her way to her. "I didn't honestly think that would work." Lucy kept running and didn't stop until she reached her daughter and had her in her arms.
"Nashi, I'm so sorry." Lucy said.
"It's okay, Mom. Merry Christmas." Nashi said.
"Merry Christmas, sweetie." Lucy said as she was thankful her daughter was with her again. "Come on. Everyone is worried about you."
"Where are they?" Nashi asked as they started walking.
"Back at the hotel. They didn't like the palm trees for Christmas trees either." Lucy said.

The Next Day
It was Christmas day and the fresh snow came down in New York. With Nashi back with her friends and family, it was going to be a Merry Christmas after all. Everyone was together at the hotel, but they weren't expecting many presents since it's a hotel and not their actual home or anything. Nashi was the first one to get up and was glad to see she was still with all her friends and family. As she got up and made her way, she stumbled upon a great surprise. There were presents everywhere when she wasn't expecting any.
"No way..." Nashi said as she couldn't believe it. "Everyone, wake up! You have to see this!" She called. She managed to wake up everyone. They all came in and they were all surprised to see all the presents. None of them knew where they came from, but the kids sure weren't complaining.
"What is all of this?" Natsu questioned.
"I'm not sure." Lucy said.
"They're all from someone named Mr. Copper. Who is that?" Laxus questioned as none of them knew. All the kids were excited about all of this, but he had something he like to say first. "Listen!" He shouted out. "Now, if Nashi hadn't screwed up, we all wouldn't be here spending Christmas in this glorious hotel. So, I think it's only fair that she opens the first present since we have her to thank. Merry Christmas, Nashi."
"Merry Christmas, Mr. Dreyar." Nashi said with everyone cheering for those kind words. Nashi started it as she ripped open the first gift with everyone following her. Everyone was having a great time, but Nashi realized something. There was one person that was probably spending Christmas alone and wanted to change that. She grabbed her coat and was getting ready to go, but Lucy spotted her.
"Nashi, what are you doing?" Lucy asked.
"There's someone I need to see." Nashi said. Without explaining herself, she just left. Not wanting to lose her again, Lucy followed after her.
...
Central Park
Nashi made her way to Central Park. She had to see the pigeon lady again because Nashi wouldn't be here if she hadn't stepped in and saved her. Nashi made her way through Central Park with Lucy following after her until Nashi spotted the lady.
"Merry Christmas." Nashi said getting the lady's attention.
"Nashi! Merry Christmas!" The lady said. Lucy seemed ready to step in because she didn't like her daughter being around a scary-looking person, but didn't do a thing since her daughter chose to come out here.
"I wanted to thank you for saving me. I also have something for you." Nashi said. She walked over and gave her one of the turtledove ornaments.
"What's this?" The lady asked.
"It's a turtledove." Nashi said as she showed the second one. "As long as we both have a turtledove, it means we'll be friends forever. I won't forget you." That touched the lady as she felt like she really had a friend as she hugged Nashi. It touched Lucy's heart as well seeing her daughter be so kind even if she doesn't know what happened.

The Hotel
Meanwhile, there was a knock on the door. Laxus opened it up and saw it was Thomas.
"Hello, sir. This is the bill for Nashi Dragneel." Thomas said as he handed the bill. "Merry Christmas, sir."
"Merry Christmas indeed..." Laxus said as he was going to get a kick out of this. "Natsu... There's something you should see!" He showed Natsu the bill of what Nashi spent exactly.
"Nashi! You spent nearly a thousand dollars on room service!" Natsu shouted so loud that Nashi could hear him all the way in Central Park. Lucy heard that too and stared at her daughter with a disapproving-look. She might have caught a couple criminals, but no one can save Nashi from her parents.
