Working in the Shadow
"Draco, love what are you doing," Harry yawned as his boyfriend removed himself from his arms.
"Just getting a glass of water, babe."
"Hmm, 'kay." Was the mumbling reply from the brunet.
Stumbling through the bedroom and into the kitchen, Draco Malfoy sleepily rubbed his eyes.
I wish I could do it in the day,he thought as he poured himself a glass of water. Though he knew he couldn't, they wouldn't be able to surprise Harry that way.
But not tonight. He didn't have the energy for it, and Harry expected him back at any minute.
Putting the glass into the sink, making his way back to Harry again, casting a glance at the nearly repaired Vanishing Cabinet in the living room before entering the their bedroom.
Carefully climbing into the bed, Draco sneaked his arm around his lover and lightly stroked his stomach as he arranged himself into a comfortable position.
Harry sighed contently and snuggled closer. "Missed you…" He murmured as he latched his fingers with the pale hand caressing him.
Draco only pressed a light kiss to his shoulder blade as answer, before they both drifted off into sleep.
I'll fix it tomorrow… Father will be so proud…
