*Yawn*

I awoke to the soft sounds of birds singing outside. A small beam of light shone down on my face, stirring me from my sleep. It was a shame too, I was having such a wonderful dream. I had just saved a beautiful girl from a terrifying monster. It was like the grand tales of heroes long gone. A huge scorpion with the power of heaven raining arrows of light down upon me. Strike after strike blow after blow the beast stood strong. A spear laid at my feet, a last-ditch throw was all I had. My aim was true as were my feelings at that moment. The beast disappeared and the girl fell into my arms. We made a promise to one another. To have a thousand years of romance. Outside the lands had begun to heal and upon a great lake, we danced under the moonlight. It was magical. It was beautiful. It was perfect. There was just one thing that was confusing.

'Why did she have to look like Miss Artemis…?'

I laid there my eyes now fully awake as I stared up at the ceiling. To say I wanted the dream to continue was an understatement, I'd never want to wake up. Even now my heart beats rapidly as it recalls the details. Her long free-flowing blue hair swaying in the wind. Her fair skin glowing in the moonlight. Eyes like big emeralds staring deep into me and mine back at hers. The resemblance to my new teacher was so similar I could have been mistaken for believing it was her.

"Bell, Are you awake? It's time to get up."

Hestia called to me from outside the room giving my door a quick knock just to be sure. I turned my head to face it before replying.

"Yes goddess I'm awake…"

Though only just. I sat up and stretched my arms a light crack came from me right as I loosened up my joints.

Hestia began humming to herself.

"Good wouldn't want you to be late. Artemis can be pretty harsh when it comes to punishments."

I couldn't tell if she was joking or being absolutely serious, even her tone of voice seemed to shift from one part to the next. But still I climbed out of bed and headed for the bathroom. Upon entering I quickly discarded my night clothes throwing them in the nearby laundry basket. After which I began to run the water for a warm shower. While I waited for it to heat up, I took the time to look at myself in the mirror. My hair was completely a mess. I was going to wash it anyway and I should have enough time to dry it before I have to leave.

"Hmm?"

I began running my hands through my hair. It was for no other reason than curiosity. I remember shortly before opening my eyes a strange sensation running through my hair. Though it quickly stopped. Shame I'd quite enjoyed it. Though if I had realised what I had been laying on I might have kept my eyes closed a little longer.

I smiled to myself.

"That's got to be the best lap pillow I've ever had."

Admittedly it was my first and only lap pillow, but damn it was like nothing I've ever felt. It was like laying on a marshmallow, smooth and soft with just the right amount of bounce. It was then I realised what it was I was doing and I kicked myself for it. Hard!

'I need to stop thinking about those things… She's pretty, no... that's an understatement, she is downright gorgeous. No wonder the girl in my dream looked like her, she's perfect.'

It was at this point I felt the heat from the shower behind me. I closed my eyes and allowed the dream to pass. Today was the start of a new adventure and I wasn't about to be distracted. I processed to wash from top to bottom. Once that was done I quickly grabbed my towel from the side and dried myself heading back to my room. My school uniform was hung up and neatly pressed already for me thanks to the goddess. It was still something I was getting used to. It was difficult to move in, having to wear a shirt and blazer but I made do. The trousers were fine. A tad big in places, but I'd rather that then them being to small. The part I hated the most though was the shoes. Shiny black and hard leather. They were as comfortable as they looked. Maybe it was because I never had to wear them before but it was like walking on the hard floor.

"Guess I have to make some sacrifices…"

Having motivated myself, I got to my feet grabbing my bag and heading to the main hall. I wasn't hungry that morning so decided to skip breakfast, it was better to get to school early rather than later. I said my goodbyes to the goddess and headed out, on my way.

As I left the church I felt the warm morning sun hit me. It was a beautiful day in Orario and the perfect day to start my first day of classes. I couldn't wait. I still had a lot of questions, but it seemed like first period was always in the homeroom. I made a mental note to ask Artemis later. As I walked down the long streets towards the school, I noticed a few people wearing the same uniform but from the looks of them, they were in a higher year than me. I choose to keep my distance.

Grandfather warned me about potential bullies.

As I reached the front gate I noticed her. Artemis had also just arrived though I was too far away to say anything. Though it was probably for the best, the last thing I wanted was to embarrass myself. So I silently watched as she entered the main building and disappeared. I sighed to myself and tried to bring myself back to my thoughts.

'Why can't I get her out my head… Yeah she's pretty but so are many of the other girls…'

I continued to debate the question in my head with no real answer. It was just one of those things I guessed there was nothing I could do. She was vibrant and sexy, my body knew that. My eyes could see that, I had got to feel it…

I tried to shake those thoughts again. I wanted to keep a clear head while I was at school but that was proving more challenging then I thought. After a minute or so I finally entered the complex however, I was so focused on my thoughts I never bothered to lift my head and that's when it happened.

I met her.

Donk!

A sound of bone hitting bone rang in my forehead, a sharp pain erupting.

"Ah!" I cried out.

"Ahhh!" I heard a soft feminine voice at the same time, a moan of pain.

I fell back on my butt, clutching at my forehead, that had really hurt. As I fell back, I heard the sound of a bag dropping to the floor and it's content scattering.

Recovering from my initial shock, I looked up and saw...

It was Renard.

This wasn't my first time seeing one however, I knew a few back in my home town and regularly talked with then, though this one was much different. She had long blond hair which followed past her shoulders and down her back. Her eyes were like Miss Artemis's an emerald-ish green that seemed to glow softly in the sunlight. Her long fox ears flicked up allowing me to see the fluffy white insides which served to complement her hair colour. The rest of her face was just as beautiful, between her cute little nose, all the way down to her lightly pink lips which resonated on her paler skin.

'Damn she's beautiful …'

I thought to myself, though the feast wasn't yet over. My eyes began to wander down. The first thing that stood out to me was her outfit. It was the school uniform, so I instantly knew she was a student here. But what shocked me was the tension it had around her chest area. It was obvious she was blessed with a larger then average rack. But with it being restricted behind the multiple layers of clothing I couldn't tell. But just like Miss Artemis's outfit, I wouldn't be surprised if the buttons holding back broke freeing them from captivity.

"S-Sorry"

I said trying to not seem like a total asshole for randomly walking into her and staring at silently the entire time. I quickly raised my head and saw her face turned a light red. As she quickly shook her head.

"N-No, the fault is mine. I shouldn't have been reading and walking!"

She quickly looked to the floor and my eyes followed. Surrounding us were many books. Everything from text books to heroic tales, some I recognised instantly. As she went to retrieve them I knelt down beside her.

"Here let me help."

I didn't wait for a reply as I started picking them up and passing them to her. With each one she thanked me, it was kind of cute her voice was like graceful tune that filled my ears. So utterly delightful. I grabbed all the ones around me and handed them back, however, just as I reached out to grab the last one she did to. Accidentally our hands met at the same time and a small pause took place. My first thought was just how soft her skin was, though it quickly dawned on me I had squeezed it a little in my initial thought.

"A-A-A"

Her face was now a crimson red and before I even had a chance to apologise, she leaped up and ran. I was left shocked and a little disappointed that she left so quickly. I wanted to ask her about some of the book's she had. I sighed however when I looked back my hand was now placed on the same book we had both reached for.

"She forgot it…"

I smiled.

"Maybe I will get to see her again."

I took a deep breath and placed the book back in my bag. With no idea where she ran off to and with no were else to go. I headed inside deciding to wait in the homeroom.

Once I arrived however I was left a little disappointed. Upon passing the other classrooms I noticed many other classes with multiple students who were laughing and sitting together. Meanwhile I found myself in a quiet empty classroom with only my thoughts. Now that was a dangerous thing. I looked at the clock and sighed.

"What am I supposed to do for the next twenty minutes…"

Luckily my prayers were answered when the door opened up. At first, I was a little shocked, jumping up from my position and swiftly turning around. Though I was happy to see who it was.

"Good morning Miss Artemis."

I said with a radiant smile. She jumped a little almost like a deer that had just been spooked. She turned and looked in my direction but quickly came calmed herself.

"Ohh... Good morning Bell… Y-Your here early…"

I rubbed the back of my head and nodded.

"Y-yeah I didn't want to be late so I decided to come early instead."

I couldn't tell what she was thinking but she just seemed to smile and nod moving over to her desk, placing down her papers. It was then however I noticed it. She wasn't wearing the same outfit as the day before. This one seemed much more causal. She wasn't wearing her glasses, her hair was tied in a loose pony tail, keeping it away from her face. She wore a loose, white short sleeved blouse which had fine embroidery down the centre covering the buttons. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't see the shape of her chest like I could have in her last outfit. It was almost sinful that outfit. Her skirt was a light green, the same colour as her eyes and flowed loosely down to her knees. It had lace trim around the edge in the same pattern as her shirts embroidery. Then I had the pleasure of seeing a girl wear knee socks for the first time ever. Plain white, with two red bands around the tops. She wore simple cream coloured flat shoes that looked comfortable, yet still smart. She was as stunning as ever.. But, I couldn't help but picture her with her hair in a bun, the glasses, the pencil skirt… I stopped thinking before I became too distracted. While I was disappointed I knew better then to make my opinions known. She was still after all very beautiful and easy to look at. However, this helped me to concentrate more.

"Well I suppose there's no harm in starting a little early. We've got the next to periods together so its not like an extra ten minutes is gonna hurt."

She quickly started with Roll call which lasted all but three seconds. I merely respond with my name. Once that was over we had a quick chat.

"Soo… Today's your first official day. You'll be glad to know that all your class applications were successful and your expected in all three at some point today."

She turned to the board and started writing down the days and what classes I had on each one.

Most were the usual three mandatory classes and at least two empty periods spread out through the day. Their was however two exceptions. The beginning of the week was guaranteed to be at least three of the classes and the last day had none as they were all mandatory. I tried to make notes however, in the end I just committed it to memory.

"Do you understand Bell?"

She asked me. I nodded as she seemed satisfied. Quickly she rubbed the chalkboard clean and began our actual lesson. Mathematics. It was funny really even though I wasn't an idiot when it came to the subject. However, that didn't mean I was gonna be thrown into the deep end. I was after all raised by an adventurer family and it wasn't like anyone bothered to teach me anything past basic addition and division. Basically so long as I knew how to pay for stuff. I wasn't annoyed by this, however. It was nice to get an actual lesson for once even if it was a little childish. Though I knew that even Miss Artemis found it pointless but she still had to do it. The lesson went as well as expected. She would write an equation and ask me to solve it. After an hour it was clear to both of us that this was a pointless exercise.

"I apologise Bell. However, as I explained I'm required to at least gauge your aptitude. I promise next time it'll actually involve you requiring to learn something."

I nodded. To be honest I was looking forward to a challenge. But one thing was clear throughout all of it and that was I was ill-prepared for the amount of writing that this required. I was embarrassed to say it but my reasoning for not being able to draw came from my inability to hold a pencil. Neither of my guardians knew how to write and they never bothered to try and teach me.

I sighed and bit back my embarrassment as I raised my hand grabbing her attention.

"Yes, Bell is something the matter?"

I went quiet. I wasn't even sure how to explain the problem. The words just didn't seem to leave my mouth, all I could do was look into her eyes hoping she would catch on somehow. Luckily it worked and she came over. I looked away as I showed her my attempt to take notes and she instantly sighed.

"Why didn't you say something sooner?"

She gave me a disappointed look I just turned my head.

"I…I didn't want to make it a big deal…"

I felt bad as I realised it was a big deal not being able to write meant I was gonna struggle in certain lessons. I had hoped it would fix itself over time but considering I still couldn't write my own name, that was telling enough.

I couldn't see her face so I couldn't gauge her reaction. However, a hand rested on my shoulder and I heard the sound of a chair being dragged along the floor. I finally turned back around to see her sitting next to me I felt strange with having her sit so close to me but it was obvious she was going to help so I did my best to ignore it.

"Okay just try to write something for me."

She didn't at all seem annoyed in fact she seemed to quiet pleasant about the whole thing. Silently watching as I tried to write my name it didn't take long for her to stop me.

"Okay I see the problem here…"

She leaned forward and grabbed my hand. I instantly started blushing at the new contact. However I understood it wasn't anything more then her trying to help me.

"Your holding it all wrong. Don't worry I've see it many times, many adventures have the same issue."

She delicately moved the pen into a slightly different position in my hand and fingers. It felt strange at first but I began to see how it was more precise.

Releasing my hand she gave me a small smile

"There try it again."

I did so though I was still not used to it. While I knew how the letters looked my hand wasn't used to writing anything at all. They looked nothing like I thought but it still was more legible than whatever came before it.

"Good Bell. It's okay take your time there's no rush…"

For the next hour Artemis spent the time showing me how to correctly write each letter. Time passed quickly and when the bell rang I was left feeling better about the whole situation. I couldn't understand why Hermes was so worried about me being in her class. Though it was still to early to say.

Artemis got to her feet and looked at the clock. She then turned to me. Her smile had gone but the kind nature in her eyes still shined through.

"We'll that's mandatory classes over Bell. You'll have a small break now until your next class. I suggest you practice writing more in that time. I'll also inform Hestia to give you a follow-up lesson. Consider it your first assignment. I'll be observing your progress tomorrow."

As she went to leave I got to my feet and bowed.

"T-Thankyou Miss Artemis!"

"T-thank you Miss Artemis…"

I stopped and turned to look at him. He was standing arms flat to his side bowing head down. I was a little surprised by this.

No one had ever thanked me.

This was the first time I received such gratitude from one of my students.

"Y-your welcome Bell."

I smiled as I grabbed my things and left the room. It was a decent walk to my office but it barely felt like a walk at all. I had no idea why but I continued to smile even after reaching it. I opened the door and went inside only to let out a deep breath,

"Ahhh…"

I threw my lesson plan onto the table and sat back. Looking at my schedule for the day.

"Two free periods and then… Ohhh I forgot about that."

I looked out the window of my office and sighed.

"Guess I'll be seeing him at the end of the day. What's he gonna think when… When…"

I ran my hands through my hair and leaned back.

"Nobody will ever see you as a teacher huh…" I closed my eyes..

"T-Thank you Miss Artemis"

His words echoed in my head. I couldn't help but let out a smile.

'Guess there's a first time for everything…'

My head began to fill with the image of his smiling face. The look of excitement and happiness.

"I'm gonna do my best. For him and myself."

I found myself walking back through the halls. I had spent the my free period just as Artemis suggested, continuing with the practice of writing letters, after that I had spent my next lesson with Hestia in home ec. There I meet a delightful and friendly pair. Liliruca Arde and Welf Crozzo. They were both extremely friendly if not a little loud. However, I found myself chatting with them as the lesson went on I learnt a lot about them but I wanted to know more. As first impressions go I think I made a good one. Though I was having trouble remembering Hestia's lesson. Though she didn't seem to angry when I admitted it on the way out.

"I'm just glad to see you're making friends Bell. Don't worry I'll go over everything with you when you get back home. Just don't make a habit of this okay!"

I nodded and reassured her I wouldn't, I said my goodbyes to Lili and Welf and headed to my second to last class of the day. History, It was actually one of the few subjects that caught my interest. I always enjoyed learning about the past, though that may or may not have come down to my love of the Heroic tales. I remembered back to that morning and looked at the book inside my bag. It was one I hadn't read before though the name on the cover reminded me of a story my grandfather had told me. I don't remember it to vividly but I made a mental note of the title.

"Now if I remember correctly It should be around here somewhere around…"

I stopped as my eyes found themselves fixed on a pair of long fluffy blond ears. At first I thought I was mistaken but upon looking down I instantly recognised that they belonged to the girl I had bumped into earlier. Excitedly I tried to call out to her.

"H-Hey!"

This only seemed to frighten her however as she turned towards me. Her eyes widened and she took a step back. I was about to ask her to wait but it was to late. She turned and ran away just like before. Hastily I chased after her though as I turned the corner she was nowhere to be seen. Only a narrow closed off corridor. I sighed though luckily for me this was where I was supposed to be. There were multiple classrooms so I assumed the girl was in of one of them.

'Maybe I can catch her on the way out.'

I thought to myself. With a frustrated sigh I walked into my class. As I did however I was soon hit with the large amount of talking in the classroom. It was strange I had expected everyone inside to be well, like me, but a lot of them didn't even seem like the types that liked the subject. I took my first step in and noticed the teacher in a mirror in the centre of the room. He turned to look at me. His bony face and tired eyes told me everything I need to know about the god.

"You must be Bell Cranel correct?"

I nodded trying to not seem down by the lack of emotion in his voice or care in his eyes.

He scanned the classroom before turning his attention back to me.

"I'd say introduce yourself but… I doubt anyone would bother to listen. Your perhaps one of a couple people that actually want to be here…"

'Well that confirms my first thought.'

I wasn't however gonna deliberate with him on the subject he just sighed and nodded after seeing my understanding disappointment.

"Just take a seat next to miss Sanjourno. She's the only other one besides you that even bothers to take any interest."

He pointed towards the back of the classroom. I followed his bony finger and found myself pleasantly surprised. There in the corner of the room was a double desk and sat by the window was the elusive fox. Her ears perked up as she turned her head no doubt from hearing her name. Instantly our eyes meet. However, it was only brief as she quickly broke away her cheeks had a tint of red to them as she gazed out the window.

I gulped and headed over. It was clear as I passed everyone that nobody had even taken notice of me or just didn't care. I narrowly dodged paper plains and chair legs as I reached the back of the room. Upon doing so I found myself nervous though I had no idea why. Was it because I was sitting next to such a cute girl? Was it because I was worried she was mad at me? Both?

I took my seat next to her. She seemed to jump a little. As my chair scraped along the floor, Her ears dropped and I noticed her trying to take a quick peek at me from the corner of her eye. I wasn't even sure what to say to her. But as I went to try Ouranos spoke up.

"Quiet Please!" He coughed clearing his throat. "I'm about to take rollcall!"

He listed off the names of people in the class. They all answered one after another seeming even less interested and slowly returning to their own thing.

"Bell Cranel?"

"Here"

I said went back to observing the rest of the class. Ouranos was right about one thing and that nobody showed any interest at all. It was kind of sad really and Bell wondered why they were even taking the class at all.

"Sanjouno Haruhime?"

"Here."

I froze a little as the girl next to me respond loudly.

'Soo her names Haruhime?'

It suited her, it was as exotic as her appearance though I kept my gaze to a minimum in that department. Ouranos finally finished listing off names and started the lecturer. He began talking about the rise of Orario and the building of labyrinth city. It was funny because Bell already knew a lot of this from his grandfather and while it had been a few years ago the topic just seemed like more of a reminder than anything else.

'Ughh I was hoping for something new...'

I sighed and instead turned back to my handwriting practice. While still slightly paying attention. After a ten minutes or so I found myself peeking at the girl beside me. She was searching through her bag again. She looked at each book and slowly go more and more worried.

'Guess shes looking for her book…'

I reached into my bag and pulled it out. I made sure to remember the cover and placed it down beside her.

"U-ummm y-you dropped this."

She froze up and slowly turned her head back to look at me and then down at the book. Her eyes sparkled and her ears shot up as she quickly grabbed the book.

"Y-you found it!"

I blushed a little seeing her smile so happily. I noticed her thick bushy tail swaying behind her. It was hypnotic I just wanted to reach out and stroke it. I bet it would be really soft…

"S-sorry I'd hoped to return it sooner but…"

I didn't want to bring up the whole thing about her running away. But even mentioning trying to return it made her ears drop a little.

"Ohh… So that's why…"

She looked away her face becoming a tint of red. Though she turned her chair a little so she was facing me.

"I'm sorry, I-I get shy around people… I'm not used to boy just calling out to me…"

She began playing with her hair a little before looking me in the eyes.

"S-so your name is Bell? That's a nice name."

I scratched my cheek.

"T-thanks… Though it's not as nice as yours…"

She went even redder after I said that and I could feel a breeze hitting my leg though I just ignored it. I assumed that was introductions over. I looked down at the book and tried to start up a conversation.

"S-so you like heroic tales?"

It was the first thing that came to my mind. I remembered a lot of the book titles from the ones she had dropped earlier. Still, I wasn't sure if it was because she liked them or they were required for this class.

"Y-yes… I love reading about the heroes of old and the adventures they had. I remember when I received my first as a little girl… I was so overjoyed I had never read anything like it…"

I listened to her intently. She spoke passionately about the subject, just as much maybe even more than myself. Before too long, we were discussing our favourite stories.

"Ohhh you like the Argonaut too!"

I tried to hold my excitement down on that one. It was after all one of, if not my favourite stories. Even though he was a clown and a fool he still tried his best and proved that even the weak and untalented could strive for greatness.

"I loved his speech about being a hero that always smiles. Its touching and inspiring. I wonder if any in the Zeus Familia ever took inspiration?"

I shrugged. '

I know uncle Zard never did. He was big on heroes of the next ages and spoke about wanting to see the next generation but he never seemed interested in reading. Even my auntie whose smile was so beautiful yet she rarely allowed and it was a treat when she did. Though my grandfather the man himself would go on and on about him almost like he knew him personally. But that was impossible there were no gods around at that time.

"Who knows…"

I returned my gaze to back to the book which she tightly held to her chest. It seemed precious to her in some way.

"I-I never read that one, I-Is it good?"

She followed my gaze down to the book in her arms. I was surprised by her fast nod.

"Y-Yes its one of my favourites… In fact it's the first one I ever read…"

She held the book even tighter to her chest a small tear falling from her left eye.

"I-It was a gift from my friends you see. I wasn't allowed such things as a young girl and they bought it for me with what little money they had. I never felt so happy."

She quickly noticed her tears after one dropped onto her hand. She laughed a little before drying her eyes.

"S-sorry I suppose it is a little weird for me to be telling you this.."

I couldn't disagree more.

"N-no it's okay, It reminds me of when my uncle and auntie bought me a copy of Argonaut's story. I was really sad after I lost it, I just can't bring myself to buy another copy…"

I looked down feeling a little sad. It was actually my own fault. Though I wasn't about to recount that story to her. It was a painful one and something I'd rather forget.

"W-would you like to read it with me sometime?"

"HUH?"

I found her staring passionately into my eyes, her question surprised me but I'd lie if I said I wasn't tempted. I rubbed the back of my head and nodded.

"Y-yes I'd love to!"

How could I refuse such an offer?

Her ears shot up and her tail began to wag frantically.

"R-Really! You mean it?"

I nod again.

"Of course."

She broke into a huge smile and quickly opened it up. I was a little surprised.

She giggled as she caught me looking at Ouranos.

"Don't worry he doesn't care. He just drones on like always, besides he already taught this topic. And it's not like you've been paying attention."

I was taken aback that she noticed that. Though she wasn't wrong. I had no reason not to just accept the reality. I scooted closer and quickly dove into the first chapter with her...

Meanwhile in lord Ouranos's head.

"Ugh even those two are ignoring me… Sometimes I wish Zeus hadn't succeeded… Why did I ever agree to do this.."

The old god sighed and just continued anyway.
