I had the biggest scowl on my face as I walked up the steps to my mother's house down in New Orleans. I left at dawn, leaving Sookie a note for her near the phone before I left. I looked up at my mother's large house -well, mansion. Somehow I knew where she lived and this meant that she implanted the directions into my head.

...THIS IS HARASSMENT!

AND VIOLATION OF MY PRECIOUS, BEAUTIFUL, AND INNOCENT MIND!

There must be a law for this kind of thing.

So, I don't know how she did it, but she bought the Melrose Mansion at the edge of the French Quarter along the Esplanade Avenue. According to the internet, my mother lives in the historic Creole neighborhood called the Faubourg Marigny...I don't know, big deal apparently.

Anyways, so she lives right in the middle of the exciting city of New Orleans. I think she's having a midlife-crisis...can women get that?

Or maybe she's going through that menopause thing. Man that sucks like real bad hahaha!

I frowned as I pushed open the black iron gate which read above the gates, "Deveraux". The courtyard was very beautiful which a large marble fountain in the middle of it all. The fountain had a bronze very detailed figure in the middle of it all, I came to realize who it was.

The infamous Horned God that the maenad kept on speaking about conquering up.

The Horned God appeared in be in the shape of a man, but had the appearance of a stag almost human-like. It was kinda weird honestly. I shook my head and continued on my way to my mother's house. The house was white and there were pillars all around it, the house seemed to be almost four stories. It was quite big and she wondered how many people lived here. It had big windows and flowers everywhere. I was mostly surprised that they weren't already dead...since you know, she's the Devil and all. I knew that her mother was getting cozy with the King of Texas and yet she still had her home here, she wanted to meet me here instead of there. I hope to God that he's not there or else I'll kill the horrible corpse.

Leo said that he's his new stepfather and that he's okay for a vampire. Anyways, I hoped Gary(Godric's alter ego's name since I refuse to use his real name) wasn't living there as well. How awkward would that be since he kissed me and all. I would die of embarrassment most likely.

I walked inside of the large house, memories flooded into my mind. More like flashes of pictures inside of my head actually. My mother and I were together, smiling and there were white feathers floating around us as we held hands. There was another with me and a man I didn't recognize kneeling down in front of me.

Ugh, everything keeps on getting weirder and weirder each time.

I looked around inside of the mansion and saw a large staircase, reminding me of a castle draped with elegance and wealth. There was even a ballroom which had people floating in and out of. They seemed to be preparing it for something. Maybe a ball? Who knows?

White seemed to be my mother's favorite color as everything seemed to be in that color or a slightly darker version of it. In my opinion the color white made me nauseous and it didn't comfort me somehow. The way the color was used in my mother's house was something of power and darkness. It didn't make me feel safe.

My jaw hardened as I came face to face with Celeste who was lounging gracefully on a sofa in the sunlight of her parlor room, drinking a glass of scotch I think. My eyes narrowed at her as I came closer.

"What? No butler? I'm surprised."

She shrugged. "I gave him the day off."

"Why am I here?" I questioned with curiosity and kept my eyes on her. "All I want to know is where is Bill Compton and who took him?"

Celeste raised an eyebrow, probably not liking my "tone of voice". Whatever, stupid corpses are forcing to talk to her anyways. Still mad at Eric for what he did and he will pay when I return and after I drag Bill back from whatever he came from.

"In all good time. I need to tell you something crucial. This will forever change your life-"

"Wow that doesn't sound ominous at all," I said sarcastically with a roll of my eyes. "What is it then?"

"Don isn't your father."

Why the fuck am I following this girl, Alcide thought as he discreetly hid himself in the car just across the street from the house of Celeste Deveraux. Northman got me involved because he didn't want the girl getting into trouble. I already got to take care of the blonde one who apparently tracks more trouble than-

"Hey now I don't mean to attract so much trouble," Sookie chided from the backseat of the truck that they were in. "It's not my fault."

"I wasn't saying it is, but you know the saying you attract more flies with honey than you do with vinegar," Alcide reminded her.

Sookie rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I'm polite to anyone I meet, but the minute they start getting nasty to me, I lose my patience and respect for them. Besides, Belle is the one who throws vinegar at everyone she meets. She doesn't mean to, but what can you expect from an eighteen year old girl who was sold to vampires?"

Alcide's eyes widened and turned around to look at Sookie so fast that she thought his head might roll on off of his body. "Sold? Like a slave? To fucking who?!"

"Eric," Sookie replied hesitantly. "But lately, that's not the case anymore. He freed her, well he was forced to at least. She's got to pay him the hundred grand her father owed him by the end of the month or else she goes back to serving him."

Alcide looked uncomfortable as he murmured, "He doesn't...you know…"

"Oh, my stars no!" Sookie quickly assured him and Alcide looked relieved. He may not know the girl, but he wouldn't wish that type of life on anyone. "I think he's in love with her actually. Godric too."

"Who's Godric?"

Sookie was babbling now. "Eric's maker. Godric had a thing for Belle's mom too before she became the She-Devil as Belle puts it. She's got a half-brother too named Leon, but Leo for short. Godric is And her dad didn't mean to sell her to Eric, but she was real sick and Eric just came out of nowhere and offered a cure for her. Everyone knows that you never manipulate a desperate man because he'll do just about anything."

Alcide nodded as he followed the blonde's story. "So blame Eric then for this pile of shit?"

"No one's to blame here, Alcide except the people who took Bill of course," Sookie said rationally then smiled at him. "So what's the plan?"

"We wait until she comes out," sighed Alcide.

"She's gonna get real angry that he sent someone after her especially she's not his slave anymore?"

Alcide let out a short growl and gave her a look. "Somehow I think she's more trouble than you are."

Eric's finger tapped lightly on the window and he smiled brightly-well, more like sarcastically. Don's nostrils flared as he looked into the window and saw the Viking's face. He opened the door with an impassive look on his face.

"Get off of my property."

"Hostile I still see."

"Belle isn't here."

"Shame. I've been looking for her, but don't worry I already sent my best wolf on it."

Don looked quizzically at the vampire. "What's happened?"

"Bill is missing."

"Compton? What's the got to do with me anyways?"

Eric gestured for him to come outside and Don did so after a moment or two. "Everything. Celeste took him. Godric is gone and something else has taken his place. I'm sure you know about Leon."

"Of course I know about Leon. He happened right after Lillian died. He's my son."

Eric was not surprised by this. "Then why do you have Belle and she has Leon."

"I wanted a normal life, she didn't. You know Celeste, Eric. Longer than I have actually and Leon wasn't normal. In our divorce, all she asked for was Leon who was only a baby at the time."

"Why?"

"She didn't want a human child which was what Belle was at the time...Leon had floated his bottle in the air one time when he was crying and Celeste was in love with him then. She didn't think that Belle was extraordinary...she said that she was ordinary and she looked so disgusted when she looked at Belle. That's what made me fall out of love with her," Don confessed. "I wanted to visit him, but she wouldn't let me. That was also in the divorce papers, I wasn't allowed any contact with him."

"We both know that Belle is anything, but ordinary. She can control energy-anyone or anything's energy. Leo calls it energy manipulation and which is possibly the most powerful thing out there. Her powers blew up cities-"

Don sighed heavily. "So all those deaths were her then...I had hoped it wasn't."

"No one could control what she did, but herself which is what I've been doing with her this entire time. She's getting better."

Don's eyes brightened. "Thank God. So Leon is okay then?"

"Basically Belle's twin...is he her twin?"

Don laughed. "No, but that's not surprising since they were close as children."

Eric looked around in case anyone was listening. "He thinks nothing of his father or well, of you actually and thinks that Belle is his half-sister. Celeste put you completely out of his mind. She's with them right now according to the wolf."

"Who's the dog?"

"His name is Alcide Herveaux."

Don snarled at Eric, "Keep my daughter away from the Herveaux boy! I don't want her getting involved with him-with them!"

Eric, shocked, eyed the man standing in front of him, his face red with angry the family of wolves. "Why? Tell me or I'll glamour it out of you."

Don scowled. "Some things are better left unspoken for, Mr. Northman. This is one of those things."

Don stomped back into the house and Eric felt a pang of fear and anxiety course through him. Lafayette, he figured it out as he then flew into the sky. I guess he needs my business skills then. Pity.

It wasn't until night until I emerged from the house. Celeste followed her outside and warned, "Stay away from Godric."

I scoffed. She sounds awfully jealous which is completely ridiculous. "Gladly. I don't even want the corpse near me anyways. Why won't you tell me who my real father is? Why did you keep Leo away from my dad then?"

Celeste smirked. "I wanted an extraordinary child and you were ordinary."

I felt hurt and forced myself not to cry in front of this woman. It doesn't matter who my father was because Don was the one who raised me. The one who stuck by me whenever I had the cold and would rock me to sleep every night I cried out for my mother-for her. He was there and she wasn't and neither was my birth father. I want nothing to do with them. They're toxic people.

"Tell me his name." I demanded. "Why are you lying? Why did you lie about my father?"

Celeste smiled softly. "Despite the horrible Devilish monster that you think I am, I still feel some emotions. I didn't want another failed marriage. I cared back then."

"Then Godric came and screwed you." I finished with a rueful smile and shook my head. "I don't know why I'm still surprised by your actions. You killed my sister, your own daughter. You threw my dad and I away because we didn't have special powers. You cheated on him, a good man who loves his family and would do just about anything for them."

"Your father and I have issues," she explained. "He sold you to the sheriff! Because of money-"

"My life was hanging on by a thread and so Eric took advantage of his desperation to make me feel better! He was a father and yes, I was angry at him for doing that to me, but he felt as if he had no choice. You only care about me now because I have powers! I'm more powerful than you, Celeste! I'm one of the Enchantresses that people fear and I can manipulate energy to my very will."

"You are something more than just that," she said firmly.

"Where is Bill Compton?!"

Celeste looked at me for a moment before she smirked then shrugged. "Find out yourself."

Celeste walked back inside and my fists curled. Calm down...don't do it-oh shit, I'm gone. I suddenly charged towards her with a warrior cry and as I was in grabbing distance of her hair, I felt two pairs of hands pulls me back. I growled as I kicked my feet, screaming, "Let me go! Let me at her! I'll kill her!"

"Jesus Christ, is she always like this?" A man asked as he dragged me away from Celeste who smiled at me like I was some kid. WHICH I WASN'T!

"Sweetie, you're eighteen, remember?" Sookie reminded me as we went to the car.

I stopped struggling and gasped. BETRAYAL! "Sookie what the heck are you doing here? How did you find me?"

"Eric Northman sent us," the man holding me replied as he dumped me inside of the white truck.

"WHA!" I rubbed my head as I sat up on the back seat and glared at the both them. "What?! I'll kill him!"

"Calm down, short fry," the man with a sexy beard said as he turned on the car and started to drive.

"Wait...HAVE YOU GUYS BEEN FOLLOWING ME THIS ENTIRE TIME?!"

Sookie nodded. "Only because we were worried about you. So I'm guessing your mom didn't give you Bill's whereabouts, huh?"

I growled as I crossed my arms over my chest, grumbling, "No, all the bitch did was tell me about nothing. She kept me waiting in that house of hours."

"Why?"

"BECAUSE SHE WENT TO GO FUCK GARY!"

The man with a sexy beard frowned. "Now who the fuck is Gary?"

Sookie laughed. "Oh, it's Godric, remember? Eric's maker and that's the name she gave him for his alter ego."

I nodded. "Yup. His creepy and pervy alter ego actually. Who the heck is this guy anyways?"

"Alcide," Sookie answered. "His name's Alcide."

I frowned and sniffed him. "You smell weird."

Sookie gasped and hit me in the arm as I glared at her. How dare she hit me?! I should hit her and this guy for following me! I don't like being followed! I will make Eric pay that's for sure!

"Now you stop those nasty thoughts about us right now! Alcide is a werewolf and he's helping us find Bill and you by the way since you disappeared on us."

I rolled my eyes and replied, "Whatever. So where to next, dog?"

"It's Alcide, witch," he growled. "And we're going to a were club."

"Ew. You're no fun, dog," I muttered.

Sookie shook her head. "Don't take it personally, she's calls vamps a corpse, me a blonde, and Bill is called scowl lines. It means she likes you."

"I do not! He smells weird like Eric...but weirder I tell you!" I protested vehemently. I seriously can't put my finger on his smell. It's bugging the hell outta me right now!

"She likes you," Sookie whispered to Alcide, laughing.

I lunged towards her and planned to choke the life out of her since she ultimately betrayed me by siding with the corpse. "COME HERE, YOU LITTLE SHIT!"

"Stop it," Alcide growled again. Oh, so he's the kind of guy that growls all the time. Interesting. Growling Dog is what his name is, but I'll call him GD for now obviously or dog which ever I fancy that day.

The car swerved and everyone on the road honked at us as Alcide tried to hold me back as Sookie and I fought like kids in the backseat of the truck. We kept wrestling and I even messed up her perfect hair by taking off her headband and throwing it over at the dog.

"What you two, five years old?!" Alcide kept on yelling at us as I pulled her stupid hair. "Stop it right now you two! Oh my fucking God, Northman was right about you being crazy!"

This will be fun, I thought mischievously as I glanced at the dog who was still trying to break up two angry women which was not a good idea if you ask me.
